The Passage Green seemed to know it was her turn to move along, if only because her stomach was rumbling something fierce! She had a natural grace to the way she moved, and her sharp eyes were kept on the candidates. She took another step and stumbled over an egg, quickly turning to croon at it in apology. Oh! She hadn’t caused harm to it had she?! Her wings ruffled in worry and she looked about frantically before lowering herself to the sand, nosing the egg gently, just to make sure. How did one tell whether an egg was okay or not?! Oh she couldn’t handle this! With a sorrowful croon Passage Green turned tail and ran, running smack dab into the walls of the stands! Falling back, she curled into a ball, wallowing in self-pity. A draconic snicker from somewhere behind her caused the green to lift her head and look about, but it wasn’t until the other dragoness moved that she became visible. When had the Ball of String Amethyst hatched? She’d never tell, that was for the rest of you to figure out on your own. The amethyst lifted her bullish head, knowing her observation was known about now. The Ball of String Amethyst gave another snort of amusement as she watched the green shy away. The Passage Green gave a short nervous flick of her head and scurried into the stands. Hers wasn’t on the sands, she knew that. But did that mean Hers was up here? The green stepped carefully, doing what she could not to hurt anyone else on the way. After not one, but two people were buffeted by her wings, the green curled into a ball and keened again. Tesla…? TeslaMine I know I can feel you… but where are you? Your Syth doesn’t want to hurt anyone else.Meanwhile on the sands, the Ball of String Amethyst shook her head in amusement. So her sister had been unable to find Her partner on her own. What a pity. Oh well, there were plenty of things to deal with down here… but where to begin? O-hoh! Now wasn’t that an interesting looking fellow? The way he seemed to be watching one of the females amused the dragoness greatly. What would happen if she simply stared at Tikrin for a while?
Passage Green Syth Impressed To: Tesla Pronunciation: Sith Rank: Green Size: 21.5 Feet (4.3 Feet at Hatching) Color Codes:aeff00197b30005525Appearance:Like a bird of prey, Syth has a sharp, angular look to her medium-sized body. There is a healthy, natural weight to her form and coupled with her short legs and neck she comes off as a sturdy young dragoness. Her tail is an average length, though her tail fork is longer and thicker than most greens. She makes a striking figure in the air. Her large, angled wings catch thermals and currents with ease and allow her to glide for long periods of time as well as letting her turn on a dime. Her natural ease in the air is not the only thing that may draw attention to this dragoness. Her hide is a striking, almost painfully bright green with a slight hint of yellow. A darker, mossy green covers her feet, reaching up to her ankles on all feet but her hind left, which spread partway up her knee. Her wing tips, the underside of her tail and most of the tip of her tail are also a mossy green. A stripe of colour stretches from her nose, over her head and along her spine ending partway down her tail. From the line, the dark green also crosses her eye and skirts along her cheek to the underside of her jaw. A small section of her neck is also dark. If there is one thing to be said about Syth it is that she is a master of endurance, at least for a green dragon. She has a knack for finding and using thermals to her advantage and can usually be seen gliding serenely through the air. There is a grace to the way she moves, even if she is not as skilled on the ground as in the air. When she is resting, Syth has a strange habit of spreading her wings out slightly, as if to offer protection to anyone who sleeps next to her. Personality:Passive, Quiet, Gentle, Self-conscious, LovingSyth is, first and foremost, a quiet and gentle green. She’s the kind of dragoness who is content to sit on the sidelines and avoid jumping into new or scary situations. It’s not that she’s a scared dragon, she simply prefers to be the quiet encouragement for the other dragons. A loving green, Syth is always willing to be the shoulder to cry on and the voice whispering words of hope in your ear. Despite her love of supporting her friends, her quiet, passive nature does get in the way from time to time and she sometimes fumbles over her words or can’t draw the nerve to speak up. This green dragoness is a playful one, surprisingly enough. Though it may take some careful pushing from her rider, once Syth gets involved she puts her heart into any activity. She will never be a very competitive green, but she will do what she can to have fun and be a valuable member of any game of team. The same applies for her willingness to help others. Though she may not physically get involved with helping, she likes to lend her support verbally and she is always willing to listen to the problems of others. If there’s one thing to say about Syth, it’s that she can be incredibly self-conscious. Her biggest worry is, and always will be, hurting others. The very idea that she could inflict pain on another living thing, mentally or physically, just doesn’t sit well with Syth, and it’s not uncommon to see her become withdrawn if she believes she has hurt someone. Hers will have their hands full bringing her out of her withdrawn state, as she likes to hide away and become ‘invisible’ while she mopes. Mind-Voice:I didn't hurt you... did I?There is a gentle, mothering sound to her voice when Syth is calm. However, in moments of extreme emotion, especially when she fears she has hurt someone, her voice can become quite piercing. Inspiration:At the time of the Fifth Dynasty Pyramid Texts, Nephthys appears as a goddess of the Heliopolitan Ennead. She is the sister of Isis and companion of the war-like deity, Set. As sister of Isis and especially Osiris, Nephthys is a protective goddess who symbolizes the death experience, just as Isis represented the (re-)birth experience. Nephthys was known in some ancient Egyptian temple theologies and cosmologies as the "Useful Goddess" or the "Excellent Goddess". These late Ancient Egyptian temple texts describe a goddess who represented divine assistance and protective guardianship. Nephthys is regarded as the mother of the funerary-deity Anubis (Inpu) in some myths. Alternatively Anubis appears as the son of Bastet or Isis. As the primary "nursing mother" of the incarnate Pharaonic-god, Horus, Nephthys also was considered to be the nurse of the reigning Pharaoh himself. Though other goddesses could assume this role, Nephthys was most usually portrayed in this function. In contrast Nephthys is sometimes featured as a rather ferocious and dangerous divinity, capable of incinerating the enemies of the Pharaoh with her fiery breath. New Kingdom Ramesside Pharaohs, in particular, were enamored of Mother Nephthys, as is attested in various stelae and a wealth of inscriptions at Karnak and Luxor, where Nephthys was a member of that great city's Ennead and her altars were present in the massive complex. Nephthys was typically paired with her sister Isis in funerary rites because of their role as protectors of the mummy and the god Osiris and as the sister-wife of Seth. Less well understood than her sister Isis, Nephthys was no less important in Egyptian Religion as confirmed by the work of E. Hornung, along with the work of several noted scholars. "Ascend and descend; descend with Nephthys, sink into darkness with the Night-bark. Ascend and descend; ascend with Isis, rise with the Day-bark."Found at- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nepthys

Not again! Ooma sighed at the green's impression, more doubt settling in her mind.. What if she didn't Impress? Would she be forced to not be a candidate again? To leave the Sands?
The girl wasn't even a candidate! A stands impresser! Ooma felt like leaving.. the newest hatchling seemed interested in that- How long had that man been staring at her? The black haired girl glared at him, studying him harshly. Humph!
Come what may... Ooma couldn't say she'd be happy leaving alone.. again... She looked toward R'hard, blushing so slightly..

Nai smiled and nodded as the dragonet dashed into the stands and found its Own. She wouldn't apply any descriptors of courage for or against, as people and dragonets could surprise you, but that one did seem... timid. She wasn't sure whether a dragonet like that would fit her or not. In some ways, she could braven it up. In others, it might hinder her, or even be an annoyance.
Turning, she watched the Amethyst that had Hatched, and it began its staring contest with one of the male Candidates. What a peculiar and silly game. She wasn't sure what it was going to do, at this point. She shifted back and forth from foot to foot every so slightly, and continued to wait.

He was late! Late to the hatching his dragon had helped sired! As Weyrleader he should have been first in line! "You pain in the neck! Why didn't you tell me sooner!" Shouting across the room at the darkened lump that was his dragon, Vl'kan scrambled around the room. Eventually he found and pulled on his blood red and black trimmed dress tunic before jumping in a pair of clean trousers and hastily tugging on his boots. "C'mon. You need to be there as well." Walking back through his weyr Vl'kan vaulted up to the growling dragons neck and urged the garnet out into the sun.
Thormyth dropped from his ledge before opening his wings to spiral downward to his ledge of choice where he would have a clear view of everything going on below. Vl'kan slid from his dragons back and gave the leering brute a swift slap on his leg, reminding him to behave, before moving off to snatch up a seat. Eggs had already hatched. He felt like he had missed so much! Yet there were still so many wiggling shells left unbroken. Even though he was late, it seemed the show had just begun.
____
"Uncle! Uncle! You promised!" Tugging feverishly at the older mans shirt, Traylor scowled and continued to rant and rave. 'The hatching this, the hatching that.' Always the bloody hatching! Theault would be glad when all the excitement had finally died down and he could finish a days work without interruptions concerning eggs. "You can hear them can't you? Everyone's singing, Uncle Theo! That means they're hatching! We gotta go before it's all over!"
Theault sighed and set aside the torn net he had been working on. "Alright...alright. You know these things can take a while right?" With a cheer, Traylor grasped his uncle's shirt even tighter and attempted to pull him out into the hall where others could be seen hastily making their way to the hatching grounds. "Take it easy, we're not going to miss anything." Quickly wiping his hands on a semi-clean rag, Theo took his wiggling nephew by the hand and the two made their way to the stands. Of course the overeager and excited young boy insisted they sit as close as they possibly could.
"Oh OH! Look! They're hatching! Hey! That one kinda looks like dads dragon! Oh and look at the funny little blue! I bet the next one to hatch is going to be a GIANT bronze!" Practically shaking with excitement, Traylor was nearly sitting on the railing now desperate to be as close to the eggs as he could. Meanwhile the ex-wherhandler had a firm grip on the back of the boys shirt, just in case the little bugger decided to take a nosedive. With his free hand Theault wearily rubbed at his face. "Would you sit still already? The eggs aren't going anywhere."
Of course he was just as pleased as everyone else about the hatching, perhaps for different reasons though. A hatching meant a great feast and plenty of wine. He smiled to himself at the thought. He could definitely use a good drink tonight to unwind.
----
S'val casually strolled his way through the crowded stands in search of a spot to take up and watch the proceedings. Now that he had done his part in ushering everyone in without there being complete disorder, it was his turn to see the show. Glancing up he spotted his large companion up on a ledge, cheerfully adding his own deep hum to the mix. You're far to cheery, Sol. And you are not cheery enough, Mine! The partially blind rider shrugged at the comment and continued on his way through the crowd, only stopping when a familiar face with empty seat beside him caught his eye. "It's a hatching, you moody old git, not threadfall. Cheer up and crack a smile or two, S'bel." With a friendly slap on the fellow bronzeriders shoulder, S'val plopped down in the seat beside the man and glanced down at the scene playing out on the sands.
Every hatching was the same. He felt like he's witnessed a hundred of them. Shard it though if they didn't need those little youngsters now more than ever. Thread was back, the Rebellion was breathing down their necks, and those kids were going to have to take his place. If the Thread didn't get him retirement would. The bronzerider smirked to himself at the thought and idly tightened the black cloth that hid his blind eye from sight. As if he was ever going to retire willingly.

Tesla had largely ignored the green after he hatching; not that she thought the green was lesser somehow than her siblings, but there were so many other eggs and she wanted to watch them all; it was difficult for her to focus on a single dragonet for very long. As it was, she had managed to miss the hatching of the first dragon from Kayath's clutch--a lovely dark amethyst who eyed the green with dark amusement.
The green seemed intimidated by her dark sister, at least to Tesla, or perhaps it was something else that had the dragoness flustered. She couldn't be sure. Then again, she seemed to be having trouble finding her rider among the candidates. Tesla's brow furrowed as she watched the green try to climb into the stands. What was the silly creature doing? The candidates were down on the sands already!
That was when Tesla heard the quiet, yet piercing voice in her head as the hatchling buffeted another spectator with her wings by accident. Tesla…? TeslaMine I know I can feel you… but where are you? Your Syth doesn’t want to hurt anyone else.
Her jaw dropped. She didn't know what to do, this was so far beyond what she had expected. She was approaching thirty turns old and was a Harper, she wasn't supposed to Impress a dragon! It took her neighbor shoving her in the dragonet's direction when they realized who it was she wanted to make Tesla react. She stumbled to her feet and rushed over to the green--to Syth. "Syth, hold still, calm down, I'm here," she found herself reassuring the dragon, and added as she stroked Syth's muzzle, "Oh, what were you thinking, choosing me?"
You are mine, the young green explained as if that was all that mattered. As far as she was concerned, it was. Tesla sighed, and abruptly found herself becoming hungry--it didn't take her long to realize it was Syth's hunger she was feeling, so she looked around for where the weyrlings had gone with their dragons after Impressing and found them at the edge of the sands. Finally, she smiled.
"Come on then, DragonMine, let's go eat."
------------------------------------------------------
R'hard grimaced as the green tried to fight her way through the stands to get to her rider. Silently he willed whoever it was to get up already and go to her, and finally, one of the women did. He shot a glance at Ooma, who seemed to be taking it a bit hard. It couldn't be easy, he thought, knowing a dragon would prefer to find someone in the stands rather than to bond to you, but still. The dragon always knows. Supposedly, anyway. He shot a reassuring smile at Ooma and went back to watching the eggs, taking an extra bit of pride in pointing out Kaith's first-hatched daughter.

Well things were starting to pick up a bit at least. Most didn't recognize the smallest egg hatching. How could they after all with such a bright and shining star on the sands and more slowly cracking their way into the world? Tikrin though, Tikrin lived to see those little things that most people missed. Which, was why as he swept his eyes across the rest of the eggs, he caught onto the soft movement of Kayath's smallest egg hatching.
Little by little the baby had come out, careful not to alert her siblings or cousins, and yes it was a her despite the dark hide. The subtle hints of purple almost seemed to have been pressed on because of the eggs patterning. Tikrin tilted his head slightly, his eyes focusing in on the amethyst as she crept behind the green and seemed to be laughing at her. Odd Amethyst....not like the normal bubbly ones at all. It was a simple deduction and more vague than Tikrin would have enjoyed but it was as it was.
That of course was when the thing started to stare at him. Within seconds te candidate assumed that the purple dragonet was just as daft as the rest of its color and was not so much staring as just looking off into the distance. However, that intensity in her gaze was something Tikrin knew well enough to understand that she was indeed looking at him as he had been watching the other candidate and then of course, her.
What? Think I'm interesting do you? What do you want? I assume you find something here within my reach intriguing otherwise you wouldn't be watching....but what....me? Something else? What.... His brain wracked itself for the answer and finally came to the conclusion that she was simply interested in her surroundings and would most likely move on. There was no way that this amethyst could have the sort of mind that would fit his.
Yet, somehow Tikrin still stared intently, knowing that something was off...and that knowledge was entirely delightful and more than he could handle in terms of being pleased. A smirk slowly started to etch into his features and he subtly nodded his head after a moment. It seemed perhaps...they might have something of an understanding....

Iromineelmris only glared down at the Candidates, his eyes rimmed with red, almost as if he had been crying. But then again, everyone knew fellis brought on the redness to the eyes... Though it was entirely plausable that the man may indeed have been crying.
"Point out your son, then. I'll cheer for him and wish him well. I'll cheer for him to Impress a brown or bronze, just like his father." His voice held a distinct tone of bitterness, almost as if he wished no such thing. "Promise you'll take me up on Syphraelth after? You never did after... you know..."
It was true that after their... unfortunate misadventure in the bathing pools that J'degar had failed to take him up on his dragon, though Iro knew it was simply because the man was busy. Hell, Iro had been busy too. Life in the Weyr moved on and continued... just as it always had.
"Look at that blue..." he murmured. "Pretty sharp markings on that one! Though that green looks rather nice, too. They're all very... bright. Bet you're glad you got a brown, eh, Gar?" He teased his friend, taking another quick sip of fellis. Shards, he was almost out! "Oi, where'd that Amethyst one come from?!" He exclaimed, leaning forward. It seemed that the excitement of a hatching was rather contagious...
______________________________________
Liam watched as the blue rumbled away to Impress someone else, and then the green. By this time, though he would like to be glancing occasionally at Cayin, he was intently focused on the small dragons that were bursting from their shells every now and again.
Wait-- when had that Amethyst hatched?! Shards, he had missed it! How had he let himself miss it? He supposed he was too caught up in the green Impressing someone from the stands instead of a true Candidate. How odd. Liam wondered what made the dragon choose them... he hoped he and Cayin had what it took!

The Ball of String Amethyst merely continued staring. To most it really would seem like the amethyst was just another airheaded purple dragon that was staring off into space. Of course, this boy was more intelligent than that wasn’t he? How intriguing. The amethyst continued to stare for a while yet, then suddenly shifted her gaze to one of the other candidates. Glancing first at Ooma before moving on to Nai and eventually even staring at a crazy cook up in the stands, the amethyst seemed to let his gaze pass slowly over those around. So many minds to delve into, so many things to learn and play with. Oh but this amethyst was not thinking of play the way most of her colour would. Finally, with an audible sigh, the Ball of String Amethyst stood, revealing her two-toed hind feet. She took slow, lazy steps towards the female candidates and began winding her way through them, pushing one here, trying to trip one there. Her mind, however, slipped into one of the male candidates. Did that boy think she was interested in him? Oh what a shame. You aren’t quite as intelligent as you believe yourself to be, it seems. What a shame. The dragoness made her way over to the males and sat before Tikrin. Well, I suppose this impression thing could be an interesting experience nonetheless. You weren’t expecting an amethyst were you, my pet. Your mind shall be quite the little playground I’m sure. Come now, Tk’ri my pet. We have much to do and your Aedaluth grows bored with this trivial hatching nonsense.
Ball of String Amethyst Aedaluth Impressed To: Tk'ri Pronunciation: E-dah-looth Rank: Amethyst Size: 18 Feet (3.6 Feet at Hatching) Color Codes: Body: 16031c Head: 040206 Markings: 3a2545 - 1e052f - 490d48
Appearance:
As far as amethysts go, Aedaluth is strangely bulky. Her build is strong and sturdy, yet at the same time there is a soft feminine feel to her body. The majority of her muscle is found in her upper body; her chest, front legs, and wing arms are strong and well-formed, leaving no room to doubt she'll be a powerhouse in the skies. She may not be as willowy and agile as most of her colour, but she'll certainly outlast many of them. TO make her appearance that much stranger, she has a long, bullish head with strong brow ridges and head knobs that end in sharp-looking points. For some strange reason, Aedaluth hatched with only two toes on her hind feet that, luckily, don't seem to affect her too much.
This amethyst's hide is a soft, grey-tinged purple. There are sections that are darker and lighter, but the shifts in her hide are, for the most part, subtle. The tips of her wings, tail, feet and head get progressively darker in colour, with her head and tail being a purple so dark they appear black. On its own, her dark hide would likely not gather her much attention; however, her hide is covered in striking, eye-catching markings. From head to tail, every inch of hide is covered in a maze-like patterning, the lines of which seem to catch in strange ways and play tricks on the eyes of viewers, sometimes making it seem like the lines are shifting. The lines of her markings come in a variety of whites, pinks, purples and blue-tinged hues that melt into each other. There are points where the lines almost seem to blend in with her base hide.
Aedaluth is a strange amethyst. She tends to remain perfectly still when she's standing, using her energy on thinking and observing rather than moving. She has a power to her posture as she stands, head held high in confidence. Yet, for all that she stands still she never seems to be perfectly still, especially when she is interested in something. Though her body may not move, her head and neck are never still, moving with her words, trying to observe the object of her interest from all angles.
Personality:
Intelligent, Curious, Eccentric, Challenges the Norm, Owns up to her Mistakes
Aedaluth is a strange amethyst. Where most are ditsy and playful, Aedaluth is cold and calculating. She is an intelligent dragoness, and has an abnormally long memory for an amethyst; of course she will quickly learn to utilize her human partner's memory capacity to her advantage. Aedaluth's goal in life is to learn; she's the type who wants to know the 'how' of everything. How does this work? What makes this tick? Luckily for her bonded, Aedaluth likes to discover the answers on her own and will rarely pester her rider with questions if she can help it.
A thinker and observer, Aedaluth is not the type to rashly run into a situation, in fact, she can sometimes be too slow in her reactions. She likes to observe everything so instead of trying to break off a fight between friends, she's more likely to sit back and see who comes out the victor, all in the name of science. She may even go so far as to play mind games with others to see what happens. That's not to say she is heartless however. Aedaluth actually cares for her friends, and she'll quickly learn what boundaries can and cannot be crossed when it comes to her duties as a friend. When she knows she is in the wrong, she won't hesitate to own up to her mistakes and apologize, but be ready for a long string of mental observations about her own emotions.
If a dragon could be an inventor, this lady would be it. She's always looking for ways to change and improve things, be it the way straps are designed or the maneuvers used in drills. 'Challenge the norm' is a motto of hers, and she won't hesitate to take changes into her own claws if she can! While she tends to stay calm during her 'experiments', it’s not unusual for her to get excited over anything she is passionate about. In fact, even Aedaluth will have moments of uncontrolled thrill, bouncing about and exclaiming her excitement to the world.
Mind-Voice:
Oh how intriguing... That outcome was not what I was expecting.
In most situations, Aedaluth's voice is low and has an air of calm indifference about it. Perhaps the proper term would be professional. However, in moments of passion or excitement her voice can lose its professional edge and become rather shrill and chaotic as she rambles about her success. In times of extreme thrill, it’s not uncommon to hear her break out in maniacal laughter.
Inspiration:
Aedaluth is based loosely on the Greek character Daedalus, an intelligent inventor of sorts. He was best known for building the minotaur’s labyrinth. Aedaluth was based on the idea of inventing and ‘science’, or rather, a mad scientist. Her hide was based on the labyrinth itself, while her build more closely resembles the minotaur. Her name is a quick play on Daedalus’ name.

Well, Kaith, what do you think about your daughter? R'hard directed the thought to the watching brown. Kaith's tail twitched in agitation. What's wrong with her feet? She only has two toes? This sort of thing happened in the other clutch too! What did I do wrong?
R'hard rolled his eyes. It's hardly even phasing her as far as I can tell, Kaith. And cross-gender mutations and tiny amethysts are not that bad in the grand scheme of things, anyway. They can fight Thread well enough, can't they?
Kaith grumbled, but settled down again. The others had better be normal, though.

Ooma tried not to feel sad or disappointed. That amethyst was too dark for her tastes anyway...
She caught R'hard's glance, and gave him a faint and half-hearted smile... It was.. easier doing this know that whatever happened atleast he'd be there...
Once again she looked at the eggs, feeling the broad humming in her chest. The air was hot and seemed to vibrate.. Her dragon had to be in one of those eggs! Please!
She couldn't disappoint Ooman again... Georonth had the idea and greatest desire for her to be searched.. It was her father's brown who got her here.. This would honor her father, but Georonth as well.
If she didn't Impress.. she may have to consider other plans.. if the dragons were picking girls from the stands then... maybe it wasn't meant to be...

Nai shook her head in disbelief as the staring contest continued. What a silly little game they were playing. Did it serve any purpose? Nai tracked the dragon passively as it moved in the female Candidate's direction. There were many Candidates here, so she didn't have any reaction. At least not initially.
Nai did feel her muscles tighten slightly as the dragonet drew very close, but ultimately it moved on from her. She shook her head slightly and continued to wait. It was a possibility, but it was not to be. That was quite alright with her. She stepped with agility when the dragonet pass back by, trying to trip Candidates. She was able to avoid it, luckily. After the dragonet had gone passed, she stepped forward, putting her feet right where they had been previously. Right in her own footprints.
Nai clapped once the Amethyst Impressed, and then turned her attention back to the crowd of eggs. Who would hatch next, she wondered. And who would that dragonet go to?

Linda glanced over and around, the green went to the stands and got someone from there. She had heard about it, but just like everything else she had yet to see it. Well at least the dragonet found her bonded and didn't go kill herself or something of the sort... Her gaze glanced over to the other one.. another amethyst.
She was doing a.... staring contest with one of the boys? Weren't amethysts all girly and well... daft? A little frown passed her face, well that was just like saying all girls liked dresses so... It wasn't fair for her to think all the dragons would be the same, so who knows... And it looked like she impressed on one of the guys. It wasn't really that strange to her anymore since people always impressed now with other genders.

It was time already. The Giver seemed to give a hiss as it shook itself, nearly falling into the egg nearest to it before a bronze wing shot out, followed shortly by a claw and then the head of the Giver Bronze who hissed and pulled himself through the hole, hissing and growling at the world as he did so. He stretched his wings and turned to a nearby egg which was shaking, pouncing on it and cracking it open, causing the Black Cat Green to tumble out and shake her head in confusion, hissing at her brother.
Nearby, between Izanycorth's claws... the queen egg gave a great crack, it's orange-gold shell splitting and falling into pieces to reveal... a Topaz? Her mother seemed shocked, and yet smug. She was large and beautiful! Of course she was beuatiful! She was the Lion Topaz! She was wonderful! She was a queen!
She stood with grace and took a step out towards the black cat, giving her brother a nudge. But the bronze only hissed at her. She hissed right back and sat, curling her tail about her claws and looking at the Candidates, holding her head high and arched - as a princess would. She wasn't particularly sleek, but bulky and muscular.
The Giver Bronze walked quickly towards the males and hissed, reaching out to bite one and the another. He turned quickly and headed down the line, snapping and growling and heading deeper. These males were worthless creatures! He jumped on one and bit into his arm, his sharp claws dragging down his chest. This boy would definitely have scars! Oh... what a delicious thought!
The Giver Bronze lifted his head and turned away, leaving the boy a bloody mess on the sands and hissed again, moving further and further down the lines, irritated. Why couldn't he find his! His had to be here! He jsut had to be!

Ooma watched with delight as new eggs hatched, she was in awe of the topaz and the green. She gaped in horror at The Giver Bronze and shrank back as he bloodied a boy. The dragonet could easily pick her out and harm her if he pleased..
Ooma tried to focus on the little black cat green or the other bronze and the topaz. But the Giver Bronze frightened her!
She gave a hopeless glance to R'hard, praying she'd Impress in one (perhaps bloody) piece...
/ Ka'mond gasped at the damage the bronze wreaked and was only slightly distracted as Abyrath took to a ledge.
KaMine. I want to have a clutch.. Might I have a clutch?
Abyrath asked hers like a child asks for a cookie. She cocked her head, peering at the babies.
"I don't know, Aby. It depends on who'd fly you.. and if your eggs are fertile you know? Hush now. We're here for Izanycorth and Kayath's eggs"

Liam gasped as not one, not two, but three eggs hatched in a flurry of motion. The bronze came first, and Liam's eyes shone. What an honor to Impress to a bronze! How wonderful! He secretly hoped Cayin would Impress to the bronze. His lover deserved a dragon like that!
But then things turned nasty as the bronze cracked open another egg, causing another green to fall onto the sands. And then... wait! The Queen egg had hatched! It was a Topaz! His face was alight in joy, and he completely missed that the bronze was nearing until he felt the teeth in his arms and claws raking down his chest!
Liam fell to the sands with a cry, his robe torn, blood dripping from his body. No! There was no way that could be Cayin's dragon! Please, Faranth, no! The boy was ashamed to find hot tears sting his eyes. How could he have possibly wished that dragon on his best friend, on his lover?
Struggling to his knees, his red blood dripping onto the sands from the bite to the arm and the claws to the chest, Liam turned his eyes to Cayin. Of course, Cayin would have no idea why... but Liam's eyes begged him for forgiveness.

Iromineelmris nearly jumped out of his seat when the bronze hatched. "J'degar, J'degar!" He cried, nearly bouncing with excitement now. Fellis sure was an interesting drug, to say the least. Gripping his friend's arm, his eyes wildly exstatic, he practically yelled, "A bronze, a bronze! That's good luck, isn't it?!"
The cook's excitement turned to horror as the bronze broke open another egg and a green spilled onto the sands. "Oh! Gar, Gar! He won't hurt her, will he?!" But the bronze bypassed the green, only to maul several boys. Iromineelmris covered his mouth in shock. "J'degar..." he whispered. "How could he?"
He was so shocked that it took him a moment to realize that the Queen egg had hatched. "J'DEGAR!" This time he really did shout. "THE QUEEN! LOOK AT THE QUEEN! IT'S A TOPAZ, A TOPAZ! LOOK, J'DEGAR, LOOK!"
...no wonder the Amethyst had cast a look up at the crazy cook in the stands...
