Linda just rolled her eyes and glared over at Firo as he started to tease her again. He was even smirking at her and just once she wished she could use her blades on another... But no she might kill him and then probably get kicked out of the Weyr. "How could I possibly fall for such a person who insults, torments, and makes one want to punch and kick him on a regular basis?" But oh no he didn't stop there, he started to see through her lies it seemed. But she merely rolled her eyes and tried to wave him off. "Because apparently my drunken mine is so off the wall that I can't even understand it? How should I know, and frankly why would I lie to you? not even worth it."
But when he mentioned training, Linda just glanced at him for a moment as if he grew a second head. He actually trained... and drank this stuff for an energy boost? That was interesting, she only would drink water and have a very light meal before heading out herself. "I just usually get some water and a light meal before training, then after hunt for food for my fair." And with that she went back to searching for her shirt... only to not find it and frown a bit. She couldn't very well go out without it, especially since it might give him the opportunity to search for her to give it back in public...
Linda just gave a sigh as he just kept talking, training with a hangover? Couldn't be worse then training with a broken arm, she never let a day of training go because then she was always worse off. "I never miss a day of training and I won't be starting now. Never have even when I had a broken arm. And yes, relish the fact that you actually got to see me and how pathetic I was... It won't happen again, and where is my bloody shirt!!" Linda was starting to get pissed now, and frankly she couldn't care less about keeping her temper intact now. She just wanted out of here and away from Firo so she could forget this all happened and move on with life.

His smirk just continued to grow. She seemed to be getting annoyed with him and, frankly, Firo found the entire thing to be too amusing. “How? I don’t know. What I do know is that you didn’t deny it.” Oh she was making this much too easy! “Are you saying you would never lie to me? You do realize that means you wanted everything that happened last night you know.”
He rolled his eyes as Linda gave him a look. Was she surprised that he trained? He chuckled to himself. Of course he trained! His toned body didn’t come from sitting around sewing all day! He rarely skipped a morning of training, save for when there was simply a lack of time or if he injured himself. Firo trained primarily as a hobby, though his father had initially started training him with dragonriding in mind.
“I do hope I’ll never see such a pathetic display again. You practically pinned yourself last night. It was embarrassing.” He frowned, truly disappointed at how easy the fight had been, even if the results had been rather… interesting. “I expect you to put up a little more fight next time I pin you.” Of course, in Firo’s mind he would always be able to beat Linda in a fair fight, and he didn’t forget she had promised him a rematch. As Linda started grumbling about her shirt, Firogel smirked again, wondering how far he could push her before she finally snapped.
“Hmm… I’d be willing to help you find your shirt for… oh… how about a good kiss.” He wasn’t asking for a kiss because he liked her! Faranth no! He just wanted to see if she’d be as compliant sober as she was drunk. Or maybe she’d attack him and give him a reason to pin her again. Either way, Firo was seeing it as a win-win situation.

Linda just scowled as she started to ignore Firo and his talk, if she kept responding he would just get worse. And frankly she didn't have the time or energy really to deal with it. What she wanted was to get away from him at this point in time, her head was hurting worse the more they both talked. The stress and frustration didn't help either, her patience wearing thin as well as she gritted her teeth.
"Your just lucky, because it won't be happening again I can assure you... I will be the one winning and you better hope I don't have a blade in my hand." Linda snapped at Firo as he called her pathetic yet again. Yes she apparently couldn't fight while drunk, reason for her to never touch the stuff ever again. Especially around this guy who seemed to enjoy belittling her the worst ways possible.
But no he just had to push her and finally Linda snapped. Quickly she took a blade out of its sheathe and launched herself at Firo. Hoping to pin him quickly as she tried to place the blade at his throat. If she succeeded her eyes would be narrow as she would growl out her words. "Now you see here wherrie, I don't like you. Your idiotic, annoying, frustrating, and a jerk. You are testing what little patience I have left, and if we weren't in the Weyr you would already be dead."

Her feeble attempts to threaten him amused Firo to no end. He knew she had skill, he had seen it when she had fought the felines, but he had never seen her truly fight, so he had very little to base his expectations on. Silly girl should hurry up and learn her place anyways! Girls belonged in the kitchens not the fighting ring! His eyes widened and he tensed as the cold steel of a blade was pressed against his throat, his arms instinctively shooting up to grasp at her sides.
He looked up at her and was unable to stop the red from tainting his cheeks; a combination of embarrassment at being pinned like this, and… well he couldn’t deny that there was something incredibly attractive about the scowling, half naked woman above him. He blinked. He hadn’t just thought that! There was nothing to like about this stupid, idiot woman! She was too proud, too willful! No, it was a lapse in judgement, that was all.
“Aww and here you were being so cute last night,” He couldn’t stop himself from gulping though. He was nervous about having a dangerous weapon so close to his neck, and he was banking on her simply threatening him. Besides… she had had plenty of chances to kill him before, so why would she do it now? His hands twitched against her sides.

Linda was now in control, and frankly it amused her greatly... For all his teasing, for all his boasting... He couldn't do a thing and now here she had his life in her hands. Well of course she wouldn't kill him, sadly he was even needed in the Weyr and frankly she didn't want to be grouped with the rebellion. All he could do was reach up to hold her sides, which she didn't stop. He had no weapon, and she had a blade at his throat... Not like he could do much without risk that she might accidentally shove it forward.
"I will say this once, and only once... You need to choose your battles wisely, or else you will die. Only reason I haven't killed you yet is because I would get kicked out of the Weyr more then likely.. Or even worse be lumped in with those rebellion people which I would rather kill then join. It doesn't mean I will stop my instincts or anger if you push it too far. Linda's voice was calm and monotone as she spoke, trying hard to wrestle her anger and frustrations down.
But no, he had to comment on how cute she was last night. Linda had it right now, they weren't anything more then enemies or even acquaintances right? So she didn't have to put up with him as if they were lovers or something. Her face turned a bit red at the thought but quickly she pulled her blade back and tried to knee him in the side. Seeing her shirt though she quickly reached out to try to grab it and put it on before hopefully fleeing the scene.

Firogel scowled. There was no way he was going to let this stupid woman think she had the upper hand! What could he do with a knife threatening to slice him open though. On the other hand, he couldn’t help but be pleased at the idea that he could make her lose her cool. In a way, he was still winning. At least, he was in his own mind. She couldn’t sit here threatening forever though… a moment would come and he’d be ready for it.
It was about then that she removed the blade and tried to knee him in the side, which was weak given their position but he winced slightly nonetheless, his hands remaining on her sides anyways. It was her leaning for the shirt behind him that finally gave him an opening he could use. Throwing himself up, he wrapped his arms around her and pulled himself against her so that his lips ghosted along her neck as he spoke.
“Oh come now grumpy, we were having such fun. And don’t forget you still owe me a rematch, if you’re not too chicken to face me in a fair fight.” He whispered before letting go and dropping back down to the bed, smirking. She could threaten all she wanted, but Firo knew that her losing her cool and attacking would mean he really affected her that strongly. Would she be willing to admit that?

After that threat and kneeing him, Linda wasn't expecting him to already do something as she tried to hurry up and get out of there. She merely froze and turned a bit red as she felt his arms and even his lips. Linda was as still as stone as she tried her best to blank everything out... though her body did shiver a tiny bit that she couldn't hold back.
Linda scowled and brought out her blade again as she tried to slice lightly at his arm. She didn't want to try to make it too deep because of the rematch later... one she would make him grovel and apologize for doing all this or rather stop him from being like this to her. Quickly however she tried to get off and away from him as she slipped her shirt back on. "Rematch will be a candlemark after lunch... meet at the lake." Linda snapped and tried to leave in a hurry.

He felt her tense, felt the shiver that ran through her body, and knew he had managed to get under her skin one last time. It was thrilling, in a strange way, knowing he could bother her so much. She had seemed so solid the first time they met, but now here she was, unable to do anything but shiver and blush. He felt his heart quicken and found himself loathing the idea of pulling away just yet. It was because she was so entertaining, that’s why! There was nothing more to it!
He gasped as steel dug into his flesh and quickly released her, hissing as he watched the blood well from the thankfully shallow wound. He narrowed his eyes as she got herself dressed and called out the time for their rematch. “I look forward to beating you again,” He called after her with a smirk, his hand covering the wound as he pulled himself out of bed and followed her out the door, though he was headed for the infirmary instead. He had found her limit, now he just had to see how close he could get to it every time.

While she was gone, she took care of her fire lizards and Huntyres, who were getting good at flying nowadays. But she also had to train at least a little bit later then normal in the daytime meaning more people around to stare or something of the sort. It really didn't bother her that much, her mind was still too preoccupied by Firo. Did she like him? Did she hate him? She couldn't really figure that out... What she did know was that he was able to affect her badly and it was annoying.
All too soon it was after lunch, and almost the time she told Firo would be the rematch. Part of her hoped he would postpone it since she glanced his arm... But part of her knew he was probably too stubborn to do so. Her fair was watching over her belt and blades, Linda didn't trust how far he would push her and if she didn't have them with her on her person... Then well she couldn't kill him right? But now where was he? Would he show up late?

‘Take it easy’ they had said, to which Firogel simply scoffed. As if he was going to let a little cut stop him from his daily routine. Nope, once he had finally gotten his arm looked at by a healer he was out in the weyrbowl, doing his regular routine. Well, a shorter version of his regular routine perhaps. He knew it would be a good idea to give himself a chance to unwind and eat before the fight. He hadn’t actually thought she would go through with this, but now that she had sliced his arm open he wasn’t going to step down.
All too soon, it was time to head out. Hands in his pocket, he lazily made his way to where she would be waiting, a strut to his step and a confident smile on his face. He hadn’t bothered to put a shirt on, well aware that it could get torn. Ah, there she was, waiting for him. Firo didn’t know whether to be flattered that she was on time, or nervous that she really meant business.
“Aww, waiting for me? I didn’t think you’d be so eager to see me again.”

"Not really, I am just serious about my fights." Linda responded in a monotone like voice, she was as cool as she could get herself before he showed up. That way it would hopefully take a bit for him to get her all riled up... Frankly fighting while she was pissed off wouldn't be so good for him. Sure she might become less accurate but the anger might fuel her strength and then where would he be? Staring down a pissed off wild woman.... yeah not a good decision on his part more then likely.
Slowly she placed her feet apart, one in front of her while one behind her as she chose a rather steady pose. Though she kept shifting her weight back and forth getting ready for any fast movement she would have to do. Her arms slightly away from her sides as her hands twitch in the air. Linda was not about ready to look away from Firo or give him any edge ever again as she stared him down. "You ready boy?"

Firogel just rolled his eyes. This woman was messed up, that much was clear. He should really be avoiding her, and yet he couldn’t help but want to knock her down a peg or two, show her that she was all talk. He rolled his shoulders, loosening himself up before stepping a tad closer and giving her a confident smirk.
She would have him beat in speed, he couldn’t help but think that as he watched her shift her weight back and forth. Firogel was experienced enough with duels to know he was a stamina fighter; he could last a long time and excelled at using his strength and weight against his opponents. Despite his age, he had a strong, sturdy stance and was rather hard to knock down when it came to fists. Though he’d never admit it out loud, Firo was glad they wouldn’t be using knives in this fight; his arm as still stinging despite the numbweed and he knew it wouldn’t be as much use as normal.
“I’m always ready for you girl,” He winked, trying to annoy her. He could handle any punches she threw, and while he knew she might hit harder when angry, he couldn’t help but wonder if she would be sloppier when her emotions got involved. He prepped his own stance and motioned at her. “I’ll even be a gentleman and let you have the first swing.” His expression was one of condescending confidence; it was clear he wasn’t worried at all.

Linda's eyes ran over Firo, noting his stance and inwardly she started to frown. He could at least fight somewhat, or has been in some to know partially what he was doing. And that was just enough to screw her over, showing her she had a major flaw in her own way of fighting. He was a strong type of some sort, not a swift type like her and he was letting her attack first.... She would be dead meat more then likely if she went to do so instead of him attacking her first. Well that was just a problem she would have to figure out later but right now it was time to goad him.
"Wow... either your mother hates you or she really is a terrible person for you to be this sexist." Hopefully that worked or else she would have to try harder as she waited to see just what he would do. Well she could always try a bit more, he seemed to be easily angered when she talked about his mother apparently. "Do I have to worry about some sobbing wench coming to me begging me to take it easy on you from now on?"

She was trying to goad him into moving first. She knew what he was doing then, clever wench. Firogel scowled as she brought up his mother, fighting every urge to do what she wanted and attack first. He couldn’t stop his fists from clenching at his sides in annoyance.
“Let’s face it girl. The only wench who will be sobbing after this is you, once I’ve pinned you beneath me again.” He wasn’t happy, not at all, and he took a step towards her, breaking his stance. "And leave my mother out of this, she didn't raise me, idiot." She wouldn’t attack him first, he knew there was no way he’d be able to goad her quick enough. Well, they would just have to see if he could turn the tides later. There was still some distance between them, and the stance he took up now was lazier, though no less sturdy. She wasn’t even worth the effort of a proper stance.
“I’m surprised girl. You seemed so confident of yourself before, and yet now you’re too afraid to even move close. Afraid I’ll beat you? A valid fear, but even so, I expected at least a bit of fight from you. Of course, women are excellent at breaking promises.”

Linda was indeed trying to goad Firo into attacking first, she new better then to get close to him as an attacker. Sure she couldn't really do it that well except talk about his mother... But it didn't really bother her much, she never knew of parents who were nice so she thought all of them weren't. Linda though did roll her eyes as he commented on him pinning her. "Uh huh... suuuuure. There are several things wrong with your. I don't cry, and you were only able to do it because of alcohol.
She just smirked as he tried to insult and goad her some more with insults. "Yeah think what you want, you don't have the smarts to even know how to fight do you? Alot like a whiny weakling little girl... Are you sure your a guy?"
