Well… shards what was he supposed to do now? She wasn’t supposed to accept, and yet here they were walking towards his weyr, albeit in a slow, wobbly way. She had to break, any moment now. There was no way she was seriously considering this? Or maybe that was the issue! Maybe she was so stupid she didn’t realize what going to his weyr could mean. Well then, maybe he would be the winner yet!
With more confidence, he led the way to his room, glad they didn’t have far to go. “Do make yourself at home, Linda. The bed is just over there.” He practically purred as he spoke. She certainly would understand what was supposed to happen now right? Any moment now she would freak out and leave and he would be able to taunt and tease her all he wanted the next time he saw her.

Linda grinned, currently blissful as she could care less now. She would just let things happen as they may and deal with them if she remembered them... Maybe she should drink more often, well not that often and probably shutting herself in a room to do so. It was actually nice feeling so free and without that weight on her shoulders or those memories bothering her. She didn't even mind as they got to his place and grinned a bit as he seemed to not be backing down either.
When he finally pointed out the bed however, she walked over only to just fall into it. Rolling over onto her back she grinned up at Firo "Well are you going to come here or are you a coward?" Linda just couldn't help but grin, though she just stretched on the bed only to sit up. Maybe she could freak him out though? She started to tug at her clothes.

Firo couldn’t help but be impressed by her determination as she practically waltzed into his room and threw herself on the bed. He stepped over towards it, not yet sitting down as she spoke. “Oh please idiot, do I look like a coward to you?” He did however, gulp as she started tugging at her clothes. That was it, clearly she was too drunk to make any logical judgements. To play along, he tugged his own shirt off before dropping down on the bed and stretching out lazily, kicking the sheets down to the bottom so he could slip in comfortably.
“Well hurry up girl. We can’t get this party started if you can’t even get your shirt off!” To be honest with himself though, Firo’s words were merely a cover for how he really felt. Perhaps he was a coward in this case, but he was hoping she would give up soon. There wasn’t much left to do as far as taunting went. What if the wine was preventing her from stopping? Well, hopefully seeing the confident laziness he was showing would be enough to scare her off for good. Yes! It was the perfect plan. There was no way she could push it any farther.

Linda grinned as he said he wasn't a coward, though she wasn't about to answer that. Would anyone in this type of situation who wasn't drunk? Well maybe but her if she wasn't drunk? She wouldn't even really be here so she couldn't and wouldn't anyways.. Though he did plop down on the bed without a shirt. She couldn't help but glance at him though, it was different then tending to someones wounds after all.
"Oh I don't know, I might need some help it seems... no I think I got it." Was all Linda responded too as she tried to tug off her own shirt in return. Not even caring about Firo taunting or waiting to see how far things would go. With a smirk though she glanced over at Firo before she rolled over to try to pin him down.

Firo took a deep breath as he suddenly found himself pinned by a very topless young woman. Oh shards what had he gotten himself into. He knew he was blushing, knew Linda would be able to see how red he was and hear how loud his heart was beating in his chest. Of course he wanted nothing more than to roll over, pin her down and have his way with her… of course he was old enough o have such thoughts. This was Linda though… they hated each other, and Firo was positive it was the wine controlling her actions. Shards! He wanted to win this contest but... if it was the alcohol involved there was no guarantee she would give up.
He wrapped his arms around her and pulled Linda against him, turning even redder at the feel of skin on skin, and rolled onto his side, pulling the healer down until she was lying on her side next to him. “Idiot,” he mumbled, reaching for the blankets and making sure she was as covered as possible without breaking their contact. “If you weren’t drunk I wouldn’t let you win, but I have morals you know.” Even still, he couldn’t stop his fingers from playing down her back, exploring her muscles as he cuddled against her.
He would deal with her in the morning. Maybe if he was lucky the alcohol would be out of her system and he’d be able to restart the contest. It was a far hope though. Besides, he had a lot to think about between now and then… like why did he feel like he was on fire… why were there butterflies in his stomach, why was he caring enough to not want to hurt Linda that much? It must be the wine. “Sleep idiot, and we can have fun in the morning.”

Linda just stayed there as she stared a bit at Firo with a little grin, him and his red face. She had got him to blush, without him bothering to try to hide it... Well not like he could try to hide it. Along with noticing his heart beating so much through his limbs not so much her hearing. Wait why was he being so cute like this when he hated her? Wasn't this just a game to him that he was trying to not let her win? Linda merely tilted her head to the side as she waited to see how he would react.
How he reacted though was a far cry from anything Linda could have thought of... Or that she wanted? She wasn't sure as she felt how close he was to her and now she was rolled onto her side. Blankets to? Linda blinked her eyes a little bit as she just stared at him waiting for his explanation. Maybe he would just say gotcha and leave, her heart felt a little bit heavy and she didn't like that one bit. He even called her an idiot? But he wasn't letting go... Why was he being so confusing!!!
wait.... he has morals and if she wasn't drunk he wouldn't let her win? Linda frowned a bit, but well at least this was comfy and... she actually had a higher opinion of him now. He might be all mean and nasty and jerkish to women but... He was still a good person, and well maybe that would come out more as he grew older. Slowly she snuggled up close to him with a little sigh. Part of her grateful that things didn't happen? Wait wasn't she going to be happy... ugh the wine was making her all sloppy with her thoughts.
"... your a nice guy deep down." Linda mumbled as she wrapped her arms around him and wiggled closer. Her fair would probably be wondering where she was in the morning... Though they were looking after her Huntyres so she would just have to deal with Firo being the only company she had this night. "mmmm unless us both being sober gets in the way." Linda managed to mumble sleepily as she just smiled and snuggled even closer.

He had almost been expecting her to fight him about settling down. Or perhaps just try to put some distance between them… yet here she was snuggling up to him like she, maybe, liked this? It was certainly comfortable, more comfortable than Firo could have ever imagined sleeping next to Linda could be, not that the thought had crossed his mind before, but it surely was now. He shook his head, trying to will the thoughts from his mind and finding himself blaming the wine once again. Had he really had so much that a little playfulness from the girl was able to mess with his mind this much? Well, he would find out in the morning hopefully.
“I’m always nice,” He replied sleepily, his body relaxing in the warmth. He couldn’t have people knowing he actually cared about others after all. He chuckled a bit as Linda admitted once again to their current state. “Don’t kid yourself. You can barely keep your hands off me, I doubt it'll be different in the morning.” His eyes were slipping shut, and all too soon he would be asleep.

Linda was fast asleep before Firo, and oddly enough since he was there holding her she had no nightmares for once. Getting a decent nights sleep to get all the wine out of her system. Though it would have eventually anyways. It wasn't for very long though, well she had more sleep then she normally did any night. But before even dawn, probably an hour or so, slowly Linda's eyes started to open up as she started to wake.
A frown spread across her face as she lifted her hand up to hold her head. That was the last time she would drink if this was going to happen every time. Her head felt heavy and hurt, and the memories of last night slowly came back one at a time. Blinking several times she looked at Firo's form next to her with a frown... Now how to get out of this without him waking up... Or did she just want to try to pretend to be sleeping a bit more... She actually couldn't decide, did she really have some wine still in her system?

Firo had always been a light sleeper. Coupled with his natural tendancy to wak up before dawn, it was easy for Linda’s small movements to wake him up. Firo noticed first the warmth beside him and subconsciously tried to snuggle into it more. It took a moment for his groggy mind to catch up and share images of the night before, and he was beyond glad he wouldn’t have to deal with a hangover. He blinked open his eyes to see Linda. She sure was an early riser… it was still dark out, as far as he could see.
“Well,” he mumbled with a yawn, “Good morning lightweight.” He stretched, not yet moving his arms from around her, which resulted in him stretching against her. He couldn’t quite pinpoint why he didn’t want to let go… it might have just been because he was so comfy. Yeah, that made sense. It wasn’t because he was loathe to break contact.
“Who knew you would be so cuddly.”

Darn Firo was moving around, she couldn't hurry and try to pretend she was asleep just to get more comfortable... Well maybe she could blame it on... no the wine was long gone and he would probably know that too. Maybe for warmth? Even though it was summer stone was cold and they were pretty much inside a stone fortress? Yes she could use that... feeble as an excuse he didn't look like he wanted to leave either.
Linda frowned but merely snuggled up closer to Firo as she let him stretch against her. "Hey I don't like wine... so of course I haven't really had it before except maybe once... Idiot..." She mumbled back as she just tried to hide her face against his chest and under the blanket. Maybe he wouldn't see just how red she was. "I am not, your just lucky you got to see it for a once in a lifetime... and its cold.... and comfy.."

Was she still drunk? She had to be… why else would she be snuggling into him like that now? There was no way the wine was still that strong in her system! She hadn’t had that much after all. He gulped as she buried her face in his chest, not sure whether to be giddy or shy about it. Giddy? Now why would he be giddy about the current scenario.
“You seemed to like the wine just fine last night.” He shrugged, not really caring. She had gotten herself drunk and that was that. Her next comment however, made him chuckle and give a good smirk. So he was lucky he got to see her drunk? He supposed that was true, if only because she was such an entertaining drunk. “That’s not all I got to see last night. I never would have pegged you for such a pervert, girl.”

Linda just grinned a little bit while her face was hidden, at least she could milk this situation for all it was worth. Because frankly she wouldn't be able to do this again because he wouldn't allow it. But she closed her eyes, her head was really hurting her now so she just stayed still... Only to hear him speak up again and she just groaned a little bit. "I never want to see another wine skin for as long as I live...."
Linda even frowned some more as he started to chuckle at her. And even teased her for being a pervert? She tried to punch him in the side but not lifting her very red face. "Hey that was the wine!! And that person walking by putting such a think in my drunk little head!!! Besides your the one who was all gungho till the end there." Linda scowled a bit and slowly started to try to wiggle away from Firo so she could hold her head.
"And if you want to keep teasing me... do it later... Maybe I should go and rest my head... how you normal people drink wine all the time I don't know.."

At her reasoning, Firogel did blush a bit. “Sooo what kind of thoughts were running through that mind of yours girl?” He had to ask, had to know. Why? Well, he told himself it was for blackmail material of course! Deep down though, the idea that a girl would entertain thoughts of him in that way was making him giddy again. “Is there something wrong with being gung ho about pinning you down and watching you squirm?”
As she pulled away from him he didn’t stop her, instead pulling himself out of bed to grab something from his nearby closet. On the way back he picked up a skin of water which, while warm and not fresh, would at least do the trick.
“Here,” He tossed the two items at her before crawling back into bed. “If you don’t mind room temperature tea, that should help with your headache I think.” Firo had always been a fan of teas, and he rarely started the morning without one; he had a variety of blends for different occasions, and though he rarely needed relief from a headache, he did have the fixings for it. “Drink it and stop whining, stupid girl.”
She hadn’t even had that much! Seriously, she was pathetic sometimes. “I suppose drinking wine without getting a headache is yet another thing I beat you at.”

Linda was paying the price for being nice last night and letting things get so out of hand. So really she could only blame herself about things like this, but it was just soooo much easier to blame this guy. Then she would have some place to direct her hate. But he had the galls to ask about what kind of thoughts were in her head? On top of asking if it was wrong of being gung ho like last night? Didn't he hate her? She couldn't think straight, darn hangover... if that is what people called it. How much did she actually drink? She vaguely remembered him filling up her cup at least once...
"I don't remember what thoughts I had sorry.... and yes we hate each other don't we?" Of course she tried to lie out her teeth, she needed time to think and figure things out. Also if he knew the truth really of all that went through her head last night.... ugh She did not want to have to deal with him telling a lot of people.
She grabbed the tea skin and put on the piece of clothing though, staring at the drink he handed to her. Linda never heard of this tea before and from what happened last night... Well maybe it would help her headache. Carefully she took a little swig of it and let the taste go over her tongue... She didn't taste any alcohol so maybe it was good. "Interesting.... never had tea before." Linda mumbled a little bit as she tried to figure out what was in it.
".... nobody is perfect." It was obvious now to her, considering the last while. The hatching was a bust, the feast too since she decided to try to be nice to Firo since he didn't impress either. This whole drunken journey too.... Linda just frowned a little bit and took another sip of tea. She would just have to put this all behind her and get back to her regular schedule and training. "Thanks for the tea, and I'll go ahead and get out of your hair. I got some training to do." Where was her shirt? Quickly she glanced around looking for it.

“You sound unsure of how you feel. Don’t tell me you actually fell for me, I mean, I know I’m irresistible and all.” He smirked up at her, not entirely sure how he felt. Sure, he could confidently say she annoyed and frustrated him to no end, but perhaps hate was too strong a word. Maybe highly dislike would be better? Either way, he didn’t comment on his own emotions. “And I find it surprising that you can remember silly things like what that guy said, but you don’t remember your own thoughts. You wouldn’t be lying, would you?” Whether she was lying or not, he didn’t really care, it was simply fun to tease her.
“I hate training on a full stomach, so I drink tea in the mornings before my work out for a bit of an energy boost.” He shrugged. Everyone had their own habits, and his just involved tea. It was no different than drinking klah, in his mind. He grinned as she started looking around, mentioning something about training. Leaning over the edge of the bed, he pulled up what could only be their shirts and quickly shoved them behind his back, smirking playfully.
“I’ll give you a heads up and say training with a hangover will end up making you wish you were never born, but you’re too stubborn to listen to reason aren’t you?” He shifted to get comfy and relaxed back. “That said, you were less than pathetic last night, I’d say you have a lot of training to do.” Wa she trying to get a rise out of her? Yes, he was. Let’s face it, it wasn’t every day Firo had a shirtless woman in his bed, he wasn’t about to end it so soon.
