Ar'rex had been close to falling asleep at his desk, buried in a mass of papers he had been sorting through. With bleary eyes he sat up and looked around his room, curious as to the source of the disturbance that had awoken him. Shrugging it off he ran a hand through his hair to smooth it and began to shuffle and reorganize the scattered papers only stopping when a soft rattling caught his attention.
The brownrider frowned tiredly and glanced around his room till his eyes settled on his fireplace and the sand filled pot that contained his firelizard egg. As he looked on he saw the egg give the slightest of twitches and rattle against the side of the pot. "At last..." Rex muttered under his breath as he pushed away from the desk and made his way across the room. So much time had passed he had begun to think that his egg was a dud. It was nice to know that there may still be a chance to see what his egg could hold. Sitting on the floor, he gave a loud yawn and pulled the pot towards him. A small plate of meatrolls sat up on a small table, as he sat, ready and waiting, to see what this egg held in store for him.

Ar'rex's egg shook harder as if the young one inside could no longer stand being so confined. It - no he... was ready to be free. It wanted to see the outside.... It wanted to be free. There was a chittering and scraping as claws attempted to break him from his shell. Eventually... the claws were seen and the flitter pressed its eye to the little holes it had made, shaking and scraping and pressing... until the shell fell apart to reveal the small bronze that was inside. He hissed at Ar'rex for a moment then sniffed at him and then sent feelings of hunger... He wanted to be with him. He hissed, looking around at lesat he wasn't confined. Frozen Nights BronzePersonality: Hates being confined, will often spend more time outside. Doors and walls irritate him and put him in a foul mood.
The egg toppled over itself and cracked open and the flitter came tumbling out with an alarmed chitter. He soon righted himself and looked at Thaden and flew at him, clinging to his shirt and running all over him excitedly before coming to a stop on his shoulder and crooning, rubbing against his cheek. He sent feeligns of younger to him. Sound of Silence BluePersonality: Sweet, loving, possessive of His. Alwyas excited to see his. deos not like to share.

Thaden jumped and gasped in surprise when he saw one the eggs topple over and out of the little make-shift nest and crack open. The first thing that popped into his head was a worried thought of the little creature’s well-being. His eyes widened and he yelped a little as the blue flew at him and clung to his shirt. He chuckled a little when he felt the blue firelizard’s claws running all over before he finally came to rest on his shoulder. Well aren’t you an energetic little one? His voice was soft as he handed a small chunk of meat to the hungry firelizard. He smiled happily as he watched his blue gobble up six more pieces of meat before finally relaxing with his tail draped over his shoulders. I guess that means I have to name you huh? He had never named anything before, and wondered what kind of name would suit his little firelizard.
That’s when Thaden first started looking the little male over, and tried to evaluate the male’s personality. He had seemed so excited to see him, and appeared to be pretty energetic in the young man’s eyes. What do you think of Trueno? He looked down at the firelizard that was sitting on his shoulder cleaning his paws. Trueno stopped cleaning his paws and crooned up at His when he heard his name. He liked it, and the fact that His had come up with it made it all the more special to the little flit. He chirped and then hopped off of His’ shoulder to go investigate the other egg. He sniffed it cautiously not sure he liked what might come from it. After all, why should he share His with anyone else? He growled softly at the other egg and then climbed back up onto Thaden’s shoulder. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
D’tri sighed lightly as he walked along the edge of the beach with the gentle cool waves lightly washing over his bare feet. It was spring now which meant warm air and cool water from the runoff from the winter snow and ice. It felt nice really, to be out and about on such a warm evening. The sun was setting and was painting the sky with magnificent arrays of color. Iona chirped from her perch on his shoulder, and he reached up to lightly stroke the gold’s tail. She too enjoyed being out during nice weather, despite the fact that the scenery almost never changed. A broad smile crossed the Topaz rider’s face when he saw a familiar shape standing on the beach. He approached slowly and quietly, drinking up the site that was Aridani. Oh what he wouldn’t do for that woman.

J'dol smiled softly, his eyes half closed as he rested on her shoulder, wanting to see the egg hatch but wanting to sleep as well. Luckily, the egg seemed to be well on its way to hatchign, and with Spazz landing on his head every few moments, humming with excitement, it was hard to doze back off.
He chuckled as the first hints of blue hide showed themselves; apparently he had a knack for finding blues! He broke out into loud laughter as the blue burried itself in Ara's shirt. Of course, Spazz thought it was just a whole new game and tried to follow the hatchling, stopping only because J'dol mentally yelled at him to calm down. So instead, Spazz latched himself onto Ara's head and peeped down her shirt at the young one, cheeping and chirping and trying to hurry the slowpoke along. He also chirped at Tipsy to get over and join the party, but the young chimeric flit seemed relatively uninterested in flying over; Faranth knew his extra wing was difficult to fly with.
"Oh shards you're going to have your hands full with this one," J'dol mused, motioning for Spazz to get off Ara's head. Of course, that had been a mistake, as Spazz's next idea was to tackle the hatchling in welcome.
Aridani smiled softly as Harmony chirped, sending her an image of the approaching topazrider. She had known... if she came here often enough he would eventually show up again. This had become their meeting place, though they had never 'spoken' about it. It was like a forbidden secret. But Ari knew, if she came here, she would meet him. Harmony chirped again, reminding Hers of the gift she had bought him.
Jumping up in surprise, she jogged to D'tri, fishing around in the pouch on her side before finally finding the egg and, gently, held it out for him. A thank you, for having brought her Harmony, and hopefully something that would always remind the topazrider of her.

Ar'rex popped a meatroll in his mouth, chewing slowly as he carefully watched the egg rattle and quiver. After a few moments the hairline cracks began to spread across the shell and a frantic scraping of claws against the warm shell could be heard. Just when he had started to wonder just how long this hatching process could take, the large egg split, shattering entirely. In its wake stood a dark and eggwet lump of wings and claws and apparently this little hatchling wasn't very happy.
Ar'rex looked on, amused, as the brown-no, bronze, hissed and screeched before he sniffed at the mans hand. Apparently the young king had deemed him worthy because no sooner had Rex offered a warm strip of meat did the hatchling greedily gobble it up and instantly demand more. The brownrider chuckled as he eyed the hatchlings antics, taking note how he growled at the remnants of his egg and pot he had perviously been confined to. "So what to name you?" Rex scratched his chin and offered another bit of meat to which the hatchling immediately snapped up after waddling away from the pot and his shell, making sure to put as much space between them and him as possible.
The rider cocked a brow. "Don't like being cooped up do you, ya little troublemaker? How bout Con? Cause I do believe convicts don't appreciate being contained either. Think that suits you fairly well." The young bronze grumbled and scooted towards the plate of food, snatching a larger piece of meat in his claws before scurrying up the riders arm to sit quietly on his shoulder. Yes this would do.

Skye's egg shook wildly now, the creature inside seeming to make some irritated chittering sounds until a little green head forced its way from the shell, claws grabbing at the opening and tearing at hte shell until the flitt had forced it's whole body out and stood on two feet. She was a bit awkward in proportions - having abnormally long legs and rather small wings and a very long tail. She looked around her and chirped, turning to Skye then to Kivith. Hmm... She walked up to Kivith and chirped. This one would do nicely. She crooned and sent feelings of hunger to Kivith before propping her feet up on the green and looking at her with swirling eyes. Rainfall Green Personality: Sweet, gentle, mild mannered, studies everything, weighs her options carefully, looks after everyone the best she can.
Ka'mond's egg was not far behind Skye's as it shook wildly and sporadically, rattling around on the warm sand that had housed it for the days after he had purchased it. The shell seemed so insistent on holdin on ot the young one inside, though, that despite how hard the little one inside fought to free itself.... it still didn't seem to be able to... oh but wait! pieces were starting to fall away.... soon a little amethyst lay on her back with her feet in the air in the remnants of her shell. She rolled over and shook out ehr wings, giving a slight hiss as sand and bits of eggs were stuck to her hide... but she idnd't focus on that for long, her eyes quickly snapping to Ka'mond which was soon followed by her throwing herself at him and cliningto his shirt, sneding first feelings of love, then confusion, then hunger. Food! NOW! She needed it! Oh! HEr stomach wanted to eat her! It would send her away! No! She wanted Ka'mond... oh wait... what was she doing again....? Drama Queen Amethyst Personality: Short attention span, easily distracted by shiny things, overly dramatic, makes a big deal out of everything, loves attention, will follow around amethyst dragon's out of curiosity.

Skye jumped slightly when she saw her little egg shake wildly. Whatever was inside this egg really seemed to want out. She could hear what sounded like irritated chittering coming from whatever was inside the egg. All of a sudden she saw a little green head push out of the shell. She smiled slightly, she was gonna impress another green. She watched as the little green tore itself from its egg and she wondered why it looked a little strange. Then she noticed that it had abnormally long legs, small wings, and an extra-large tail. She might have odd proportions but Skye thought she was pretty cute. She watched as the little female looked around and chirped. She was sure the green was gonna come to her, and was very surprised when she walked all the way over to her green dragon and chirped.
Are you serious?! Skye was beyond surprised at the fact that the firelizard she was supposed to impress and instead impressed her dragon. She is hungry Mine, would you bring some food please? Kivith crooned at the little green that had decided she would impress to her. Skye glared silently at her dragon as she stood up, grabbed the bowl of meat she had gotten for the firelizard she thought was going to be hers but apparently had decided to impress to her dragon instead. She brought the bowl of meat over and set it down before turning away and going to sit on her bed to watch her dragon and her dragon’s firelizard silently. Kivith was quite pleased that the little green had picked her, but she did feel a little bad for Her’s, she knew what getting this firelizard meant to her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
D’tri looked at Aridani in surprise when she jumped and jogged towards him. She was searching her pouch for something and he wondered what it was she might want to show him. He looked at the egg she held out to him in utter astonishment. For me, really? He took the egg and held it up to Iona who was chittering softly and curiously as she looked the egg over. The gold firelizard had had plenty of clutches and was an experienced mother. But that didn’t mean that she would take care of just any egg or young firelizard. She sniffed it a little when D’tri held it up to her and eventually decided it could stay. You know you didn’t have to do this Ari. Just seeing you when I can is a good enough present for me. He smiled broadly and tried to wrap her in a loving, one armed hug.

Ka'mond hovered excitedly as the egg rocked and nearly yelped as the flit clung to him. Oh! It was such a lovely purple!
Oh! How wonderful KaMine! An amethyst! Like meeee! Oh! Oh!
Abyrath peered into the room easily crouching. She fit well in the small space. Her purple hide gleamed blackish in the dark cavern and she looked st the flit with shining eyes. Oh! What a pretty creature!
Ka'mond gingerly stroked the flit as it grappled onto his shirt. He reached a plucked a meat roll from a nearby tray and smiled as the purple princess snapped it up. Yes this little flit was a princess. A very special princess!
What shall we call her Mine?
Ka'mond pondered a moment. "How about Tia?" He thought it could be short for 'tiara' or something... The amethyst chirped and returned to her meatroll, tail possesively curled around Hers neck.

And then there was one. That was what Goblenn thought. She stared down at the medium-sized egg thoughtfully, watching as the light seemed to hit it an entirely different way with the slightest turn. Thankfully, it was daytime, so she didn’t have to worry about the raging Topaz that currently slept in her new quarters. Of course, she would probably wake once she re-entered the barracks with a new – most likely screeching – baby to care for. Having to make sure the mere child of a wher didn’t outright eat Phobi was enough of a hassle, shard it! The thought of having two wingless firelizards sent scary shivers down her spine.
Speaking of wingless firelizards, Phobi was currently curled fiercely around her arm, chittering worriedly at the egg. It was a demon. He could feel it. Just watch. It will hatch, and a great red demon is going to come out. It will be the size of a dragon. It will eat him, His, and GoldenDeath. And then he was going to get eaten by GoldenDeath after being eaten by the demon. It would be like. . . Deathception. Or something. He was SURE OF IT, SHARD IT! He screeched rather loudly when the egg gave a sudden jolt in His’ palms. Oh no. It has. . . IT HAS STARTED! HIS DOOM WAS IMMINENT! DEAR FARANTH HE WAS NOT READY TO GO NOW!
By now he was practically screaming bloody murder, and Goblenn had had enough. With a swift motion, she had the Ebony off of her arm, under her cloak, and mouth full of a piece of meat. “Shush, you,” she hissed at him. “It’s not going to eat you, I promise you that.” Phobi whimpered and curled up in her lap, eyes whirling swiftly a motley of colors, ranging from terrified pale yellow to the stressed sorrowful lavenders. Eyebrows knitting in guilt, she leaned down and gave the little black a kiss on the head. “Calm down, you are scared, I understand. In truth, I am too,” she assured the lizard, stroking along his spine. Crooning quietly, Phobi drifted into fitful slumber, tail soon twitching in the throes of a dream.
One stressor out of the way, the now-wherling focused all of her attention on the egg in front of her. It was rather energetic now, shivering and turning in her hands. Ensuring that it didn’t outright jump out of her hands into danger, she brought some excess of her cloak onto the table and placed the egg into a makeshift nest. Hopefully this would go without incidence and it would be over soon.

Goblenn's egg shook like crazy, an angry racket coming from within until the egg seemed to burst, revealing a red flitter who immediately hissed at Goblenn and bit and scratched the hand which held him, sending feelings of hunger ans he licked his claws and lips with a pleased croon, tasting the blood he had drawn. His wings were massive in size it seemed and well muscled. They may either help or hinder him in flight... depending on how he grew... Blood Rain Garnet Personality: Egotistical, irritable, loves to cause harm to others, will try to eat most anything when he is upset as he always feels hungry if something is irritating him. Will often nip His.
It was Hanako's egg which would hatch next in this great menagerie. It was not happy, the filtter inside. In fact it had decided it was goign ot hatch now, no questions asked, no ifs ands or butts... but instead... it just ended up rolling aorund to its other side.... though... eventually one... two... three... four feet popped out and the egg skittered around until it hit something and cracked apart, revealing a small brown which shook itself irritably, chittering and squawking at the bits of egg which had trapped it not long ago. He looked up at Hanako and flew at her, inspecting her before curling up on her shoudler and sending feeligns of intense hunger at her. Bone Cold Brown Personality: Serious, determined, persistent, will lecture things if they trip him up or get him in trouble, will lecture others for getting in trouble, will lecture His if she forgets something.

Aridani nodded happily as he took the egg, pleased that he hadn't rejected it, especially since it felt like it was beginning to rock. She smiled at Iona, silently wishing she could tell the gold how grateful she truly was for her sapphire. I did need to do it, D'tri... She though back at him, once again wishing she could tell him everything she felt.
She wanted a way to contact him, a way for him to let her know when he could visit. Harmony was such a rare colouration, she would be rather well known in no time... but a new, hopefully common flit would be able to go between the rebellion and Trelis without a problem! She blushed as she said such sweet things to her, and was more than happy to wrap both her arms around him.
Nymari yawned sleepily, idly munching on her food as her finger played along the still shaking egg shell. She wondered whether the hatchling would be able to break out any time soon... she was starting to feel sleepy.

Sim blinked as the huntyre egg she had been left with started to rock and hatch. It cracked in spider webs it would hatch any moment now... which would be now. Out of the shell came a Forest Huntyre. She chirped in a friendly way and looked at the topaz and at the flitters already gathered there. She looked at the plain meet that Sim had and then at teh salted jerky. OH! OH! SALTY! She chirped at Sim for it and Sim was all to happy to comply, looking at the fluffy little chick with interest. She was so cute... She fed her.... and fed her... and fed her... then scooped up the little fuff ball. "Why don't we call you Salts... and you little green... you'll be Encore... Handful of Peanuts ForestInspiration: Munchies Personality:-Calming influence -Friendly -Sociable but not terribly outgoing -Very motherly -Adores salty snack
Reina's egg shook fiercely in its pot, the medium sized egg shaking itself apart bit by bit. The shell was thick and stubborn, but the creature inside was just as stubborn if not more so than its egg... and soon, with a highly audible crack, a bronze flitt forced the egg to split and leaped from its depths with a hiss, landing, ready to pounce on anything and anyone who got in his way. He finally settled with a slight cheep and looked up at Reina with interest before leaping at her and landing on her shoulder with a possessive purr, feelings of hunger rolling into her mind. Sandstorm Bronze Personality:Stubborn, relentless, trickster, always on guard, does what he pleases when he pleases, hard to handle.
D'tri's egg was rather slow to hatch, shaking in his hand, but cracking slowly. Each crack making its way across the shell until there was a whole big enough for hte little green inside to stick her head out and looka t him before ducking back in for a moment... and then slowly climbing out, cheeping at him, sending images of food to him. She was hungry, but she seemed to be rather timid at asking him, almost as if she was saying "if it's not too much trouble....?" Frail as Glass Green Personality: Gentle, shy timid, and easily hurt, she will want to stay close to D'tri as much as possible, but will be more than glad to do anything for Hers if it means that she can please him.

Hanako watched in amusement as the little one inside her first egg only succeeded in tumbling over. She held it steady between two fingers to give the flit inside more of a chance, and soon it had worked. There were four feet! She opposed at the color. A brown that was almost like aging on a bone. She covered her mouth determined not to laugh as the little guy skittered in circles until finally smacking against his warming pot.
He was a handsome little brown she decided. Her heart stuttered as he flew at her, calming when he reached his destination of Her shoulder.
"hey there little guy. We're gonna call you Skel.". She smiled offering him small bits of fish.

D’tri didn’t know what to say as he cradled the little egg in his hands and smiled broadly, almost literally from ear-to-ear, as he watched it start to hatch. He took one hand away from the little egg that was now cradled against his chest in his right hand and wrapped his left arm around Aridani. Thank you so much Aridani. I love you so much. He gently laid his head on hers and stared at the little egg rocking in his hand. That’s when he realized that the small egg really was taking its sweet time hatching and he wondered what type of firelizard would come from it. Iona on the other hand was starting to get antsy as she sat on Hers’ shoulder, and chittered softly at the little egg that she had decided was one of her own. Well, I think she likes it even though it hasn’t hatched yet. There was a soft laugh in his voice as he spoke.
D’tri brought up the small egg so that it was even with his face when he saw a little green head poke out of a hole in the shell and then duck back inside it. Don’t worry little one, I won’t hurt you. His voice was soft, as if he was talking to a frightened child. Then he got the images of food and chuckled softly. Let’s get you out of this shell first, then I’ll get you some food. He gently started pulling away the sharp pieces of shell away from the hatchling, smiling like a proud parent the entire time. He took a dry piece of his shirt and gently started wiping down the little green. What do you think Aridani? What should we call her? He wanted her opinion on what to name the green since she was the one that had went to all the trouble to bring her to him.

She blushed lightly, a soft smile on her face as D’tri wrapped an arm around her. He was so sweet, so kind… Ari found herself wondering, once again, why they always had to be so far apart. She missed him horribly when he was away and she was pretty sure he missed her. She placed a hand on his chest and leaned into the small embrace, her eyes shifting between the egg and D’tri. She reached down into the pouch where the egg had been to pull out a few pieces of dried meat, offering one up to Iona.
Then the cracking of egg shell and the humming in her ear drew her attention back to the egg once more. Oh what an adorable little critter! Harmony crooned softly at the light green head that poked out, only to chirp in surprise as it withdrew. Ari pulled out of his arm to allow him easy access to the egg, making sure there was no way the creature could bond to her. She jumped in surprise as her opinion was asked for, and for a moment she panicked, not sure how to answer her.
Harmony hummed reassuringly in her ear and the young harper took a moment to think. Well… the little green seemed awfully skittish… perhaps something like Skit, or Skitty, or Skitter? Oh she wasn’t very good at this naming thing! Nonetheless, she pulled out the skin she used to write down important messages and wrote ‘Skitter?’ on it before handing it to the topazrider.
