"Don't know what you're missing out on then. If you ever want some fun, just come knocking." He winked and sat up straighter, pretty sure that this man, at least, would never willingly come to find him. Ah well, half the fun was flirting anyways, so J'dol considered this a roaring success; it had really been too long since he had just let loose and had fun.
"Now see, there's the joy of a Weyr. If you get the job done, and done right, it shouldn't matter who you are or how you act. Besides, if I was any different, Kayath may not have found me. Its better to be who you are, who you want to be, then what others want you to be, don't you think?" Of course, J'dol had always been true to himself. He took after his father and had never been pressured into being anything or anyone else. His only experiences with such things were when he tried to mess around with Holdboys (a pasttime he truly enjoyed).
"You heard the man Kayath. To the Weyr, my princess!" He called out happily, feeling much more relaxed and happy than he had earlier. The topaz rumbled, ignoring the tiny claws of the flit, and spread her wings. Her muscles rippled as she prepared to launch and J'dol's grip tightened around Kyprioth. Neither J'dol nor Kayath could hear the man's thoughts of course, but he would have found support from topaz if she could. She pushed off from the ground, needing only a few beats of her wings to reach a reasonable distance. Hold on tight, we'll between home. It wasn't much warning, but Kayath was busy focusing on the image her rider sent her of Trelis, and in the blink of an eye they were in the black nothingness.
"Oooh that's cold without a jacket!" J'dol called out when they reappeared above Trelis, though his words were somewhat whipped away by the wind. He felt a pang of guilt, having completely forgotten to offer Kyprioth his jacket for warmth, and instead shivered and leaned against him more. Oh you are such a big baby J'dol. She bugled down at the watch dragon before spiralling to land in the Weyrbowl. Before either could say anything to Kyprioth, a small pop announced the arrival of J'dol two blue firelizards, one moving to chitter news in his ear while the other promptly squeaked in excitement and attempted to latch himself onto Kyprioth's face in his signature 'Spazz hug'. Welcome to Trelis, Kyprioth.

Right, he figures he would willingly come to J’dol for some fun as he put it, when both his arms get chopped off and his manhood eaten by the teeth inside the lady parts. He shudders at that thought, just the reminder of the horror waiting inside of the women made him sick to his stomach. Funny, thinking of J’dol in such a way doesn’t make him sick it just makes him oddly curious and a bit frightened. He keeps his mind from following that path though aware that if he allows it, he will be stuck in a loop of self doubt and realization and he doesn’t need that.
He knows that between is about as comfortable as sliding down an avalanche but naked. Actually riding an avalanche naked would be better than going between. There wasn’t the moment of being in absolutely nothingness. No air no light, no feeling of anything just a searing cold that soaked through his body and made his lungs tighten. He felt like he was dying and panic settled in. This was worse than tight spaces, this was terrifying. He would have spent a night in a packed dining hall than do this again.
Thankfully it was over in the blink of an eye, but that blink would last his entire life and struck yet another cord within him. Curled around his fear of tight, closed spaces now sat the fear of between. They walked hand in hand after all. There was nothing between, it was called between for a shardin’ reason. He would have to duplicate that training if he bonded, he knows this and the very thought leaves him cold with dread.
He has no time to react, the blues claws are attached to his face, though its not the same way that Banner’s would have been. He manages to let out a little yelp of surprise as his blurry vision is suddenly swamped by blue. Inside him he’s dealing not only with being extremely sick to his stomach but fighting with Banner’s raging jealousy.
The red had set to the sky the moment they had dropped, turning to lash his tail and wing out over the blue firelizard touching HIS handler. How dare this limp winged disgusting creature even think it had a right to be in the same air space as his him and his handler! He snarled his fury eyes whirling red, claws ready to strike out should the blue not get off of him now.
Emotions not his own twined with the boiling in the pit of his stomach before he could handle it no more. Kyprioth manages barely to tug himself off of Kayath falling in a half controlled dive to the ground before he throws up. Only when he’s dry heaving does he stop, grey and sweating to stare down at the ground in embarrassment.
What kind of dragon rider would he make? He cant handle going between, this is just pathetic.\
“Ya gunna still let me stand?” He asks quietly, the slump of his shoulders and his voice making it well known that he feared the answer to be no.

Not at all pleased by the idea, Spazz was quick to dislodge himself. He would have anyways, the blue never stayed in one place for very long, and soon he was circling Banner and chittering curiously, asking all sorts of questions about who he was and where he came from.
"Spazz! You crazy beast get over here." J'dol called to the blue as Kayath exerted control over him. In his efforts to grab the firelizard, he let go of Kyprioth, not paying much attention as the man practically threw himself off of Kayath. For one, J'dol was well aware he had made Kyprioth uncomfortable, and he was used to passengers freaking out about between so he figured between the two of those he just wanted to put some space between himself and the Weyrlord. He wasn't, however, expecting the man to be physically ill over it.
"Oy, you alright there cutie?" He hopped off of Kayath, the concern evident in his voice even as he willed Spazz to go and find somewhere else to play. Kneeling next to him, he went and tried to rub the man's back. WOuld it make him more nervous? Possibly, but J'dol wasn't one to think about such things when he was worried. Kayath crooned and pressed her nose against Kyprioth's side, nuzzling as gently as a dragon of her size could.
Kyprioth, sweetheart, I picked you because you feel right. I wont let anyone tell you you cannot stand. J'dol nodded in agreement. "Kay's right, unless you break some really important rule there's no reason you can't stand. Unless you change your mind about it... Now, come on cutie, let go get you a cup of klah, it will help with the chill." He was worried enough to even avoiding making a crack about other ways to warm him up. Though unspoken, the offer was there for him to listen if Kyprioth felt like speaking his fears, but as J'dol didn't know the true reason behind the breakdown he wouldn't ask.

How dare this worm with wings ask HIM questions?! He snarled his fury eyes glinting between shades of blood red and black red as he yanked out a claw to feint towards the blue. He hopes to scare him away from him, if he doesn’t move he’s bound to attack and his superior strength, size and intelligence would win him this fight easily. In fact, he figures it wouldn’t even be a fight. He’s not worthy of his time and with one last snap in his direction, showing rows of sharp teeth he turns and lands in the dust beside his handler, mindful of the puke.
Banner doesn’t croon. He does not ask if he’s okay, he does not look worried only mildly iffed and perhaps even a bit disgusted.
Feeling rather ill, no one felt particularly flower like after heaving up the entire contents of their stomach in front of a Weyrlord, Kyprioth surprising leaned into the others touch. It reminds him of his Uncle who had been more Father to him than his own. The man had been there to comfort him when he was ill a few times, and the even rarer times when he had let his emotions take over and became to distraught for anything else.
What surprises him is the warmth pressed up against his side. Startling he turns to stare at Kayath, noticing with a part of his mind just how intricate her hide truly is. He admires it for a moment, finding that her colors are rather soothing as well as her warm breath on his flesh. He only speaks up when he’s sure opening his mouth wont make him throw up again.
It takes him a moment to realize J’dol was speaking and before he can even think about it, a rather dry wit comment slips from his lips. “Wot, not gonna offer ter warm me up wiv yor body, eh? Yor loosin' yor edge already.” He’s to tired, to scared to be afraid of J’dols touch and really he’s warm and it was nothing sexual so he figures perhaps, just perhaps the man is safe.
And maybe, just maybe as he struggles to get to his feet, there is a glint of almost hero worship in his eyes. Something he would never admit to especially since his little crush on Kayath also navigated to the area of being on J’dol as well.
“Can yer take off time from bein' lord ter drink wiv me? And...I'm bloody well not weak or nuffink, right, I just don't like tight spaces." He leaves it at that. J’dol seems smart enough to figure out that between is the worst place you could bring someone who’s terrified of dark enclosed spaces. It was worse because he felt like he was dying. All of his senses cut off for even just a moment…he shuddered. “I reckon I’ll be fine.”

Much like his handler, Spazz was a lover, not a fighter. He was the type that enjoyed playing and exploring and having fun, not facing down significantly larger balls of anger. So with a chirp of fear and a complaint of how unfun the garnet was, Spazz disappeared with a pop. He would return, when the mood struck him, but Spazz rarely stayed anywhere for too long.
J'dol and Kayath both remained quiet, patient, as they waited for Kyprioth to collect himself. He wasn't the first person to freak out over between, and he wouldn't be the last. It was, J'dol mused to himself, almost a right of passage. After all, between was something you needed to have a healthy fear of. Lost in thought, he almost missed Kyprioth's comment. The topazrider blinked in surprise before a playful smirk spread across his face and he leaned in closer, as if to whisper in the candidate's ear.
"Careful cutie, say it like that and I'll think you want it." He winked, wondering if it was safe to tease or whether the man was simply joking to make light of the situation. Well, as much fun as acting on the idea of warming him would be, J'dol settled for simply joking. "Besides, we don't need you going hoarse from screaming my name in ecstasy just yet." Kayath huffed. J'dol... Must you always picture such things when you say it? There are some things I don't need to see. Once again, J'dol found himself merely grinning at his dragon.
"I can do whatever I want, really. I suppose you could say I'm my own boss. Besides, the only other thing on my agenda for the day is giving my princess here a good bath." And a good oiling, silly rider. I will not tolerate being less shiny than the other topaz. I will wait for after the klah, however, for I am a patient soul. J'dol quirked an eyebrow, knowing she spoke to Kyprioth as well. Trying to impress the man, Kayath? Of course, he knew the answer without asking; Kayath took a liking to anyone who complimented her so strongly.
"Besides, not only do I not want to pass up a klah date with a cutie like you, but as your searcher I owe you a grand tour of the Weyr, or at least the important places; the barracks, the dining hall, the good places to curl up for a little playtime..." He gave another wink and moved to wrap an arm around Kyprioth's waist in an offer of support as the man struggled to his feet. His face fell and he put on a bit of a guilty frown upon learning of Kyprioth's fears.
"Sorry about that, I should have given you more of a heads up, asked before we jumped. If it counts for anything I cried for an hour the first time I went between." Mind you, J'dol had been little more than a child at the time, going between on his father's dragon, but that was a detail that didn't matter to him. Between was a scary place, everyone seemed to have something they disliked about it. For J'dol, who thrived on social interactions and being physically connected with others, he hated the empty loneliness.

Banner decides his handler is going to do okay. He seems to feel that while the courtship ritual is still making Kyprioth uncomfortable, it wasn’t as bad as before. He now could handle it, and give some of his old acidic witty comments back. Banner just hopped Kyprioth would stop with the silly strutting and puffing and already finish the dance, this courtship had gone on far longer than it should have. J’dol was not even proper mate material. Ugh, how dare his handler pick such a creature to pair with. Oh well, he supposes that it’s only fair he has someone, the last person he paired with had left Kyprioth crying in fear in a corner, something about teeth though Banner still doesn’t understand what he had meant. Did humans bite during pairing?
Maybe they need help. He cocks his head to the side to watch them with narrowed eyes, whirls of red and shades of blue sickeningly turning as he ponders. He’s not a match maker, he’d rather tear his claws into the flesh of something that will scream as he does it. But his handler deserves to be happy, not that he’ll ever tell him that. With a sigh he awkwardly walks over to the dragon, the half waddle of firelizards on the ground. When he gets to Kayath he plates his dusky head against her own and snorts doing his best to make his mental touch ‘gentle’. She was a queen after all, she has all right to squish him. Not that he can’t take her.
Mate dance?Kyprioth-want-mate-dance-pairing-dance? It was a jumble of confused images and thoughts, none of them in words of course but he hopes the meaning gets across. He was asking her if she would help with this, to finish off this foolish mating ritual so they could be done with it. It was tiring and straining and he can practically gag on the scent of rutt coming off of J’dol.
“Screamin' yor name, then? Yer would be screamin' mine, right, I'm a man's man thank yer right much! Honest guv! Wait no I didn't say that, I weren't agreein' ter yer touchin' me or nuffink I just...ugh nevermind." He was talking himself right into a hole, he knows that and he was quick to shut up wondering where his mind was going and why it was going there in the first place. He hated the very idea of a man touching him! But he hated the idea of being the ‘female’ in such a relationship even worse, it just seemed wrong to him. His father had spoken quite a bit about men like that, no good then they aught to be, bunch of ‘women’ in mens clothing and things like that. It was ingrained in his personality and would take turns to erase such learning, if ever.
He gratefully finds himself leaning into the others touch. He’s support, he’s warm and for the moment he can pretend that he’s also something to fear. He’s just there and he reminds him of his uncle when he took care of him the numerous times he had broken a bone, scratched himself jumping off of a cliff or stuck his head in an angry runners path and the like. If he kept thinking about him that way he figured he could just ignore the fact that J’dol was a pervert and a flirty one at that. Turning his head towards Kayath he gives her what he hopes is a wining smile but since he’s pale and grey lipped it’s probably not as handsome as he would have liked. "Oilin', then, eh, luv? Dearheart yer don't need oilin' yor beauty surpasses the bloomin' stars. No uvver topaz could 'ave a look 'alf as good as yer if they were well oiled, groomed ter an inch of their life and in proper lightin'." Oh what a flirt.
“Klah would be nice.” He nods to J’dol blushing a bit as he realizes that he just hit on the mans dragon. Oh well, she was all lady and safe to say free of the dangerous teeth the human ones had down there.
“I wont be takin' any body ter no 'idin' places, at least not ter start. I like romancin' me ruddy ladies first yer know...ffough most 'ave er...scary problems. Cor blimey lord, would I lie to you? Best to stay oray from them right. For yor own safety.” He nodded sagely. His heart was starting to slow down and color was coming back to his face but Kyprioth could not still the shaking from the cold that still clung to him like an annoyance.
“I don't know why I don't like closed spaces, Uncle said it were because I were almost dead in the womb, or sumfink. If it weren't for the bronze dragon, right, Kyprioth, that saved me I would 'ave died, init? Maybe thats it. But me family is 'uge and Ive always liked 'avin' me space. Fink they would mind if I slept outdoors, then, J’dol? Settin' up a tent is as good as any room ter me.

Kayath snorted as the little firelizard pressed his head up against her. Was he trying to be gentle? How sweet, but didn't he realize it would take more than the fury of a garnet flitter's mind to harm her? She rumbled in amusement at the array of images and feelings that Banner sent her, though she had to mull over it for a moment.
"Well well, the felines got claws does he? I don't think I'd mind screaming your name. I bet it just rolls off the tongue in the heat of the moment huh. Kyprio~th." He gave a fake little moan as he said the man's name, as if testing the sound of it. In the end, J'dol was an equal opportunities kind of guy and though he prefered being the one in charge, he was willing to roll over for someone he particularly liked. Kyprioth, sweetheart, be careful when you play with J'dol. Give him too many ideas and he'll want to act on them. As it is, I think your little pet believes you wish to mate with J'dolMine. J'dol chuckled, his eyes sparkling in amusement as he regarded Kyprioth. It seems we may not be getting to the dining hall anytime soon. Could you have Spazz fetch a warm skin instead?
"Oh Faranth, don't stroke her ego too much or she may fall for you cutie. Then you'll be stuck oiling her too!" He had seen people, especially candidates, compliment his dragon before, but this guy took it to a whole new level. I am perfection, aren't I? What a smart man you are. Ah but you should see me with a freshly oiled hide. I put golds to shame with my beauty. J'dol chuckled, enjoying the blush of Kyp's cheeks and his defense in regards to hiding places. He really was an odd fellow, oddly proportioned, but intriguing in a strange way. The accent, J'dol mused, was certainly attractive. As Kyprioth shook from the cold, and mentioned the strangest thing about women, J'dol felt another pang of guilt. "Come here then, I've got klah on the way but until then let me warm you." He adjusted his position and moved to wrap his arms around the man. If he succeeded he would also try to plant a quick kiss on the man's neck. He'd say it was to warm him up, but truth be told J'dol wanted to see the man squirm, wanted to see how far he could push before Kyprioth's limit was reached. Behind him, Kayath's eyes showed light hints of yellow. The unspoken hint was clear to J'dol; if he pushed Kyprioth too far, Kayath would intervene.
"Scary problems? I've dealt with some troublesome women before but I've never run into something that bad. You sure you aren't just sleeping with the wrong girls?" He asked, truly curious as to what Kyprioth meant. "Stay away? I'm afraid the allure of my woman is too much to ignore." Kayath snorted. I wish you had ignored it. I can't stand the screaming of your whelp all night. Once again speaking for Kyprioth to hear it was clear the dragoness was not entirely happy. "You know, I never thought I'd see the day my beautiful Kayath would be jealous of my daughter." Kayath huffed indignantly. As if she would stoop to jealousy! It was unheard of!
A cold pop of air and a series of excited chirps announced the reappearance of his blue firelizard, this time laden with a small skin of warm klah. Eying the garnet warily, Spazz dropped the skin into J'dol's hand and disappeared as quickly as he had come. "Here you are, cutie. Not as warm as it would be in the dining hall, but it should be enough to get rid of the chill."
"We all have our fears, yours at least makes sense. The barracks can be a bit stuffy, Ill give you that, but you don't want to be outside when Thread falls." He pondered the man's question before a playful smile crossed his face. "You know cutie... I might be willing to talk to the candidatemaster about letting you sleep outside the barracks... it will cost you a kiss though." He pointed at his cheek, fulling expecting to be rejected. For all his joking, J'dol would speak to the 'master regardless, after all, she was his weyrmate so he knew he had a little sway.

The moan settles in and makes him realize two things, one of which has nothing to do with the situation at hand. It tightens a part of his stomach in the lower region that has no right to be tightened and he’s quick to bat that away with thoughts of cleaning latrines. Really, was he so out of practice that the moan from a perverted gay weyrlord would make him horny? He snorts his discomfort his face bright red even with his tan, eyes downcast under the forelock of messy sun dyed blond hair.
He does not need Kayath to warn him about J’dol, though the scathing remark of I’m not trying to hit on him was on his mind-tongue before he remembers she can’t hear him at all. He might as well be mind deaf. He sighs and inches away a bit from the touch of J’dol. It’s not rude he just needs space. He faces away from the man in hopes of gulping down fresh air and that it would remind him of what was important. Women, ladies. He liked ladies, not men. J’dol was just being..well J’dol he supposed.
A scathing thought was sent to Banner, no he did not want to mate with the man! The garnet merely snorted his disbelief, then why send out mate signals? Before he awkwardly hop skipped away to inspect a small furry creature he thought he saw. Food, food would be good.
“Pft, golds are borin like.” He said truthfully though he has to admit any dragon would be a nice dragon to him. He just wants a bond like his uncle had, someone to lean on to talk to, to jump off cliffs with and with a dragon he was in no danger of breaking his stupid little neck at the end of such a jump!
“Klah were comin' 'ere, then? But I fought we were gahn inside, right, yer were gonna give us a tour and all of that.” He doesn’t seem bothered, not really. With how his stomach feels going even into a spacious cavernous area is apt to make him feel even worse.
Before he can complain though, or say anything or even tug his way free because he can move faster than a bag of ferrets thank you very much, he’s wrapped in J’dol’s arms, a touch that’s all to lover like for his enjoyment and a kiss is planted on his neck. He warms from head to toe bright red as he squirms to get away yelping with a rather high pitched squeak that has nothing to do with masculinity. Kyprioth stares at J’dol with utter bafflement. He has not, surprise of surprise, tugged himself away from him. He’s just staring, mouth gaping like a landed fish till he hears the dragon’s voice in his mind-
‘Yer 'ave a Wee, eh? Can I meet 'er, then, eh? I luv children, used ter take care of me bruvvers and nephews and nieces and the bloody like. Gonna miss 'avin' them 'round now that I'm 'ere." He accepts the klah with a nod of thanks and a smile to the flit before its gone careful not to spill a drop as he happily gulps down the warm liquid. He feels it getting to the spots within him that no coat or hug from a pervy old man would ever cure. He`s starting to feel better, the idea of cute littles is helping as well. He wonders if she has J`dols eyes, and his sense of odd twisted humor. He could teach this little so much, he bets she doesn`t get spoiled either. Oooh if he could get his hands on her, it would just be like home! He can already feel the home sickness start to ebb a bit.
The very idea that he could sleep outside, that he would not be forced indoors makes him straighten his back, square his shoulders and put a grim look on his face. He`s pale, he looks like a man ready to walk to his death as he leans forward, grasps J`dol by the scruff of his neck and plants a surprisingly gentle and chaste kiss on the man`s lips before he backs hastily away.
Sadly his lack of grace and all too long legs come into play. He falls on his ass with a thump and a muttered curse that has to do with a dragon and anatomically impossible sexual moves. He`s bright red from the kiss but his jaw is squared and ready to defend his movements.
``Don't mean I like yer...or anyfink. Just, right, I'd right like ter be outside and yer said and um...we'll don't tell anyone okay, mate? Ruddy ladies may 'ave teeff there but men are more scary."

As Kyprioth gaped at him, so too did J'dol stare back, completely bemused by the response. He had expected, perhaps, a physical response, or even just being yelled at or told off, but this result was significantly better. After a moment J'dol grinned. He hadn't even known such a high pitched sound was possible.
"I think that screech of yours could put most women's to shame. And don't you worry, you'll get your tour, I just thought you'd like to warm up a bit faster." He commented, taking note that Kyprioth hadn't actually pulled away. Now that in itself was interesting. Perhaps this little cutie wasn't as against the idea as J'dol had previously thought. He could feel his curiosity growing with every moment he spent with this fellow. Perhaps next he should- If there was one thing that could distract J'dol from everything, it was the topic of his daughter, especially when it was other people talking about her.
"Can you meet her? Of course! She is quite possibly the cutest most adorable little girl on all of Pern! You have to see her!" At that he pulled his arms away, moving his hands up t his cheeks as he wiggled in place, his eyes far off. J'dol was, if anything, a very loving father. Oh sharditall, you've unleashed the beast. Kayath let out an audible groan as she looked at J'dol. "She has the most perfect little nose, and her cheeks are just so pinchable! Oh and her smile, Faranth when she smiles its like sunlight on a rainy day. Coupled with her adooorable little happy giggles and its just... just.... ahhh, my sweet little baby girl." He had, at some point during his ramble, wrapped his arms around himself as he wiggled with glee.
With a happy sigh it was mildly clear that J'dol had left the building, so to speak. His mind was off thinking of his little princess, who was not even a month old, and so Kyprioth actually acting on his little game almost caught the man unaware. As Kyp fell back, J'dol was actually left staring in surprise for a moment before, with a shake of his head, he regained his composure.
"You know, a kiss on the cheek would have sufficed. Not that I'm complaining, cutie. I much prefer real kisses. Red, by the way, is an excellent look on you." He grinned as Kyp tried to protect himself. "You might want to think about places to hide for flights... and don't you worry, this will be our little secret cu- Huh?" He couldn't even finish his sentence, for what Kyp said next left him completely baffled. Had he heard wrong? The man's accent was pretty thick, but he'd been having an easy enough time with it... until now. "Teeth there?" He pointed at mouth, as if to clarify that Kyp was complaining about regular old teeth. "You'll have to explain that one cutie. What's this about women's teeth, and men being scary?" As he asked, J'dol couldn't help but look down at himself, as if trying to figure out if he was scary.

He manages to get back to his feet, not without quite a bit of stumbling and awkward movements on his part. He’s confused, it’s obvious. This is not a conversation he wants to have but it’s also better than J’dol touching him in sexual ways. He supposes he would prefer this, though right now he’s not sure what he supposes. Everything feels different. He’s dizzy from his trip between and the anxiety attack from the closed spaces. Now he was dealing with the fact that not only did he NOT mind J’dol touching him he was actually admitting it. Somewhat. Not really. He was so confused.
“Teeff! Oi! Not in the mouth, I don't mean them teeff, right, ffough I were bitten once by a girl...but that's not the bloody point I mean in -there-, right, teeff that are in that...area.” He vaguely motions towards his groin bright red as he does so. Surely J’dol knows of this! He has a weyrmate, or so he said(and why was he hitting on him if he had someone who had given him a child?) he must have ran across the dreaded teeth.
He shuddered taking another swig of the klah glad for the rater heady effect the drink had on him. It always makes him hyper, not that one would be able to tell the difference between his normal personality and being hyper anyway.
Deciding it was best to change the topic he motions vaguely towards the weyr walls in hopes that J’dol would lead him around. He did want to get a mental map of what was going on and what was where even though he planned on spending most of his time out doors. Rain never bothered him, winter was something he could deal with, fur lined tent, lots of furs piled into a nest and he’d be warmer than the hatching sands.
“"Can we start the tour, then, eh? And if yer ever need some bloke ter wotch yor wee I'll 'appily do it. Raised me bruvvers practically, like I said. Right. I do luv children, shame I'll never cop one but oi. Takin' care of Banner is bad enough and I reckon that if I do bond a baby dragon would be doubly so.” He spoke of his firelizard with fondness. Banner completely ignores his person crawling up on him as though he’s a rock. Thankfully claws find purchases on his clothing and not his skin as he makes his way up to his shoulder, there he curled up with his tail around Kyprioth’s neck and his cold nose pressed under his ear. He was not a light load.
Visibly straining under the garnets weight the young man still managed a shaky grin. The klah was getting to his head, he never could drink anything that had any sort of affect on him on an empty stomach without getting sick. He was doing his best to not look like he wants to hurl again though and instead gives an awkward little half bow motioning with his hand for J’dol to lead the way.
“Sounds like yo’ right love yo little.” Silver eyes sparkled with amusement and perhaps something else. After all a man who loved his daughter as much as this rider did had to be good right? He was starting to rethink his initial evaluation of the topaz rider. He was a pervert, there was no getting past that but he wasn’t the bad kind of pervert. Perhaps he truly was just fooling with him to see what his reactions would be. He couldn’t possibly be into men like he said, not with a daughter running around.

"Hey you alright there?" J'dol asked, stepping closer to be support if it was needed. Kyp was looking terribly unsteady. Was he going to be sick again? Then the man was rambling about teeth and women and it was all terribly strange.
"Teeth... down there..." From the expression on his face it was clear J'dol was having a hard time wrapping his head around the idea. Finally after what felt like an eternity but was only a few moments, a look of curious understanding dawned on him. Grinning, he moved to throw an arm over Kyp's shoulder. "Oh Faranth, you're a virgin, aren't you? Have I mentioned how cute you are? Oh, shards, I didn't steal your first kiss did I?" He had no idea what this teeth thing was that Kyp was talking about, but it was the only explanation J'dol could come up with. Inexperienced men were among his favourites; he loved being a first for them, when he succeeded anyways. Plus they were fun to tease.
"I'll keep you in mind Kyp, though if all goes well you'll have a nice little dragonet to take care of. Have you ever thought about it at all?" He smiled warmly, spreading his arms out in a flourish, "Let the tour begin!" He hadn't taken more than a step, however, before Kayath reached out to press her nose against Kyprioth one more time. You tell him if you need anything. I'll drop him from the ledge if he doesn't cooperate. After all, kayath was fond of the strange tuber farmer, she didn't want her rider scaring Kyprioth off with his perverted antics. With that she stretched her wings and took off again, most likely off to hunt.
"Alright cutie, where to start... well, we're in the Weyrbowl now, over in that direction are the beastpens, though I doubt you'll find yourself over there anytime soon. See that opening in the cave wall there? That leads to the hatching sands, I'd take you close but Chahaturth is a wee bit protective about her eggs right now, so you may not get a chance to explore over there until the eggs are harder. Come on this way and we'll go to the caverns." He paused for a moment and pointed at a ledge not far from the hatching sands. "If you ever want to find me, for anything, thats my weyr there." That out of the way, he continued heading towards the caverns. "The Junior Weyrlord is over there as well."
"You made it sound like women were your thing, so why aren't children a possibility? Just don't want to father one, or is it this strange misunderstanding of the female body that's messing with you?" In hindsight, J'dol felt almost weird talking about the idea of children so easily. Only half a Turn ago he had been prone to freaking out at the mention of a child. How things change. "I couldn't love her any more if I tried." He loved Ara too, it was why he had sworn off other women. Men though... For J'dol, sex was a way to relieve stress and have fun, not to mention there was always a thrill when it came to having fun with another man, especially when it was a first for his partner. He didn't claim to be the best weyrmate, but he had improved a bit, and he always returned to his Lady, so hopefully that counted for something.

“Virgin?! Blimey! No I've 'ad a lass or two I just...um yer know wot it's none of yor business.” He sniffs dramatically not looking the man in the eyes. He would not go about admitting to him that while he had been with a few women naked and all that, there wasn’t anything coming out of it. He never did…well, get it up. He flushed at the embarrassing shameful memory and hoped J’dol would just take it for embarrassment over the virgin comment. He does not need to explain to this man that every time he tries to touch a woman his manhood withered at the very thought and he wanted nothing more than to curl in a corner and cry.
But he loves woman! Really, truly he does!
He grins wolfishly at the other man as he mentions baby dragons. “Aye I'd luv one but I'm not gonna assume I'd cop one. That seems right egotistical ter me. So I can always kyp-nap yor child till I do bond! Oi!” Really he never did understand those folks who were overly sure that they would bond to a dragon. Made no sense to him. After all the dragon picked you, you didn’t pick the baby. Yes he wanted one, he would love to have his own little dragon just like Uncle’s Kyprioth-but he wasn’t going to assume that he was going to get one.
“Right as rain’, Ill tell yer.” He laughed as the lady took off giving one last admiring glance after her. He seemed more at ease at least. The talks of baby dragons and little humans seems to have calmed him down and surprisingly J’dol wasn’t giving off creepy old man waves at the moment either. He figures he could deal with that. The fresh air was a big help as well.
“Oh no, I know a muvver can cop right angry about 'er yung. I won't go spot ffem till she says it's okay.” He shudders to think about the damage a clutching brood mother could do to him. Claws huge claws the size of his body alone teeth that could rend and tear and take off limbs and just-he shudders. Maybe he’ll take a small peak at night when it’s cold and she’s asleep. Just a tiny one. The thrill of possibly being seen makes it too hard to resist.
Kyprioth eyes the weyr ledge that’s pointed to him and nods a bit. He doubts he’d go to the man for anything that troubles him. He has to deal with that on his own, and truly he’s used to having to deal with his own problems, still a grin forms on his face as he speaks up.
“I'd like ter visit yer...if yer promise ter keep the bloody pervert dahn a bit, init?I'd like ter see wot lady can put up wiv the bloody likes of yer. “ At least he figures with how J’dol was acting with him, which was to say a right ol’ pervert, he had every right to talk to him like he would have his uncle or his brother. Oh there was respect there, a lot of it, but his humor wasn’t being curbed anymore and there was an excited glint on his pale face. He was still close to throwing up again, but the tour was having its effect.
“Don't right like...I mean, right, cows tend ter not want ter have babies right oray yer know wot I mean, then, eh? And I don't want ter get into a relationship, right, at least not right oray. I'm far ter yung and I want a dragon first. And if that fails I could always learn some beast craft I figure.” He became increasingly uncomfortable lifting a hand to rub at his messy blond hair, making a crows nest out of it as he walks along beside the other man.
“Is it...possible ter become a dragon rider wivout gahn between, then, guv? It's just so..dark and lonely there.” He shudders at the memory quick to push it away before taking a few steps forward having caught a glimpse of something not far in the distance. “Oi, a red ‘un!” He grins and points to the dragon he can just see flying up in the sky. There was an angry little pop beside him as Banner came back to see what all the fuss was about. When he see’s the dragon he lets forth a hiss of displeasure snapping towards J’dol because obviously its that’s man fault and pops back to where he had been hiding.

"One or two huh... Lucky ladies." It was the way Kyp looked away that made J'dol question the validity of the words, more than the denial to talk about it. Well, it didn't really matter either way, though the resulting blush was certainly cute. It really didn't take much to mess with this guy, did it. It was a right shame Kyp seemed to be so adamant about not being interested in men, it would make being in the Weyr awkward for him, for a short while anyways. Everyone seemed to get used to the way flights worked eventually.
"There's nothing wrong with being confident in Impressing. If you want a dragon it only makes sense to me that you'd believe you're going to impress right? Mind you, I stood for Turns before Kayath picked me. Oi yourself! I'll hunt you down if you steal her, she's a bit too young to be away from Ara for very long just yet." He smiled though, it was nice to see someone so interested in Jarali. His face fell into a pout at Kyp's deal.
"You drive a hard bargain there cutie, but I'll have you know I'm trying terribly hard to 'keep the pervert down', as you put it." He sighed and stretched his arms back behind his head, "I'll be honest Kyp, if I had things my way I'd be whisking you off to a nice bed to show you all sorts of wonderful things. I'd hate for your first time to be the result of a flight after all, much better when you get to experience it slowly, passionately. I'm proud to say I make an excellent partner for first timers. Alas, I shall have to keep the naughty pictures in my head; I only take consenting partners you know. A shame really, I think your accent would be utterly fascinating in bed." J'dol certainly didn't care about being treated as the authority figure he was supposed to be, he liked feeling like a friend to others, not a boss.
"I suppose if you really hate my words and touches that much I'll try to cut down... you make it so hard with your blushing though, I hope you know that." He stretched again, contemplating between now that they were on the topic. It was something unavoidable; you needed to know how to do it to fight thread, so unless Kyprioth impressed a sub-queen there was no way to avoid it.
"Between isn't all that bad, once you find a way to deal with it, and it will save your life during Threadfall. You just need to find a way to make it less unbearable... happy thoughts and the like. I still don't particularly like between but, you get used to it... Well, I hope anyways." He reached over to ruffle Kyprioth's hair. "Feeling your lifemate over the bond helps, believe me." Of course, J'dol just felt lonely between so having Kayath in his mind was a great thing, he didn't know if that would help Kyp at all. "Whoa there little guy, I haven't done anything." J'dol held up his hands. "Those garnets are.. quite the handful you know."

He had been watching the dragon with interest, nothing more. He figures Banner is enough in that regard and hopes he does not bond to a garnet dragon. He would of course love whomever he bonds to, he has no choice in the matter after all but Banner was a lot of trouble. He lifts a hand to scratch at the chunk of his ear that is missing smiling ruefully in thought. No, he’d rather get a nice lady perhaps, or a blue. He always was fond of the blues they always seemed to have happiness in bounds and plus they seemed the type to allow for adrenaline junkies like himself.
He was listening to J’dol, truly he was but the moment the man had mentioned flight sex and how he wanted his first time to actually be nice and gentle he realizes something. He has a point. He stops dead in his tracks his eyes glazing over as he pictures every terrible thing that can happen during flight sex. He’s always been lucky his home was never over any fields where dragons flew. He’s never been close enough to feel the draw of flight sex before. He’s never even thought about it till now.
He’s heard stories, he knows how animal like the riders can become. His mind fills with visions of pure roughness, no gentleness what so ever, clawing, tearing blood. All the blood. A choked whimper escapes him and before he knows what he’s doing he’s grasping J’dols hand in a vice like grip shaking like a leaf in a gale.
“"I can't bond, I can't stay 'ere! Honest! I don't want ter be forced. I can't 'andle some bloke just...grabbin' me and forcin' me and no I won't I wont do it! Especially wiv a man! J’dol! I don't want it ter hurt the chuffin' first time, right, I don't want ter wake up covered in blood and don't let that 'appen! Struth!" He babbles that all out in one long stream not taking a breath, its joined by little noises of pure frightened animal as he clings to the man pressing his face against him.
He wants to go home. He doesn’t want to stay here. Why did he think he could be a rider? Women were bad enough when he was willing to be with them the idea of some shadow faced man holding him down and-he shudders and lets forth a whimper.
A pop heralds the arrival of Banner yet again and the firelizard hovers in front of the pair not quite sure whats going on. His handler has never cried before, and the fear that’s coming down their bond! He stares at J’dol in complete confusion sending a small short message of ‘help’ and nothing more.

It had been such an offhand comment for J'dol that he hadn't expected a reaction of any kind from Kyprioth, at least not in relation to the flights. He had thought the man might get upset about talk of sex, but certainly not flight. Why, to J'dol, flight was a fun event, the joy of a passionate, commitment free night with a random stranger, perhaps even an extra romp in the morning. For J'dol, Flights were one of the best things in the world. Kyprioth though, clearly had very different ideas of what it entitled. He glanced over at the sound of a whimper, but the sudden vice grip on his hand leading to an absolute breakdown was completely unexpected. Well.. shards that was stupid of him! Why had he mentioned flights so soon? Hold boys.. hold boys.. he KNEW mentioning flights was a bad idea when it came to holders!
"Shh shhh..." He wrapped his free arm loosely around Kyprioth, not wanting to make the man feel boxed in, and began rubbing his back again, hoping it would help. "Cu- Kyprioth listen to me okay. I'll help you, I will. Listen you crazy man!" He paused, trying to figure out how to calm him down enough to listen. Perhaps he should just babble on. "Look, greenflights will affect you at first but you can get used to them pretty quickly. Only the first few times will get a good hold on you okay. And you can wait them out, you don't have to be with someone. Find somewhere to lock yourself up in, or go to someone you trust not to take advantage of you. After the first few times you'll get used to the feeling and be able to fight it okay?" At least, that seemed to be how it normally worked. Anyone not involved in the greenflights seemed to get the lust under control after the first few experiences, and he had heard of people locking themselves away during it, so why couldn't Kyp do the same.
"Shh shh, don't worry. I've been playing with flightlusty riders since I was old enough to feel attraction and never once has there been blood for me." Shards did he ever feel guilty for putting the thought in Kyprioth's head. He gave a sigh, wondering what to do. "Kyp... listen, Impressing a dragon is one of the most magical, wonderful things in the world. A partner that will love you for who you are, no matter what. Do you really want to give up that chance? I... I know you aren't into men and I swear I'm not trying to hit on you right now when I say this, but I'll help you with the first time, if you want me too.... and what to do when you feel it, where to go to hide and things like that." The look in his eyes showed he was serious, concerned, as he looked down at the man in his arms. He moved his hand to run through Kyprioth's hair. "I can help you, you just need to trust me."
