It happens about a week into his self imposed exile. He's spending his time locked out in the fields, refusing to go inside the house. With the arrival of his eldest brothers family the once roomy home was now bursting at the seems. No longer did he have an airy room that he could barely handle. No, now he had a room filled with the loud(why were they so loud?!) chatter of his nieces and nephews all of which seemed to want to play with him now thank you very much and not later.
He couldn't handle closed spaces to begin with, adding that many warm bodies in his room made it worse. He abandoned the house with efficiency using the excuse that Banner might possibly eat the youngest nephew, a cute almost one turn old fat chubby pink creature. Banner had been staring at the baby with an air of extreme interest, he had taken him outside the moment he had noticed that long tongue dragging over a giggling baby foot. Could only be safe.
It was a nice day at least, Banner had abandoned him in search of food to tear limb from limb. The gangly tall farmer youth made his way into the open fields toeing a few lumps here and there. It was to early to bring in the harvest but he kept his grey eyes, silver in the bright sunlight, on the ground never the less. One trip and he would end up in the infirmary with a broken arm again. Twice was bad enough.
Tugging at his tunic he yanked it off ruffling his blonde hair even worse making it stick up every which way as he moved. It was to hot for the confounded leather anyway and he tossed it over the nearest lump(thankfully free of herdbeast dropping) before he continued on his little trip.
Shame Kyprioth was not looking where he was going, as was the usual. The young man did stop when he toed a rather impressive lump in the ground bending to inspect it. Perhaps there was an early tuber or two-when a shards awful squeal set him on his rump hard.
Holding a bug that had no right to be as big as it was in his hands he yelped, tossed the offending creature over his shoulder and proceeded to shake his himself to get rid of the feeling of it crawling all over him.
A loud pop heralded the arrival of Banner. Lanky, dusty red the small garnet firelizard hissed his displeasure at his handlers antics. With sick enjoyment he swooped down and feinted at his handlers head knocking at exposed flesh with fisted claws. Unable to do anything but yelp and laugh Kyprioth danced in the field trying to protect his head and eyes.

It was pure chance that J'dol and Kayath happened by the field that day. The man himself was exhausted; taking over Iirla's duties after she had gone was even more work than he had expected. He could delegate, he supposed, but with D'tri trapped on the sands with Chahaturth, there was no other 'weyrwoman' to delegate to. So it was that J'dol had found himself on a trip to the major Holds beholden to Trelis, to speak with the Lord Holders and discuss some adjustments to the tithes. It had been a stressful trip, and J'dol was severely wishing he had brought along someone for moral support. Sighing, he lounged back in the straps and tried to get a moment of peace as Kayath glided over the fields. It was, perhaps, sheer dumb luck that had Kayath fly over that particular fields, but pass over she did, only to stop her forward moment and almost hover for a moment. I know you want to get back to Avirith's, J'dolMine, but I think there is someone down there... J'dol groaned and leaned forward, giving the large topaz a curious look. It's a field, Kayath, of course there are people down there, probably farmers. Snorting, the topaz swerved and doubled back, as if to double check the feeling she had. What if I told you the one down there is... cute? Now that perked the Weyrlord's interest, even if Kayath was not a reliable judge of human attractiveness! Down we go, my lovely lady! Let's see what you've found us.With an amused bugle, the orange dragoness tucked her wings and dropped down, spreading them once she was lower to the ground in what she hoped was an impressive display before backwinging to land as near to the field as she dared. J'dol shielded his eyes from the sun and peered out at the only person in the field before running a hand through his dark brown hair, his eyes sparkling in amusement. Well what did you know, he was a bit of a looker now wasn't he? You think everyone is a 'looker'... J'dol merely grinned, gave his dragon an affectionate slap, and raised his arm in a wave. "Hey there cutie!"

Banner was the first to stop the attack. The smell and sound of a dragon coming made him veer off and land on a near by rock preening his claws as though he had never been bombarding his handler to begin with. He feigned indifference giving an aloof and cold welcome, if one could call it that at all, to the dragon as it landed. Show off, the feelings he sent to Kyprioth all but oozed thickly in his mind.
Blinking rapidly to clear his vision, silver-grey eyes landed on the rather beautiful dragon as it banked and touched down. He ignored the rider for the moment, only a moment mind, taking in her shape the color and the brightness of her eyes. Beautiful. He sighed wistfully. Now that was a lady he wouldn’t mind court-
What. He shook himself, mouth opening as he stared at the older man in front of him. Cutie?! Had he seriously called him Cutie?! Something in the pit of his stomach crunched up curled up and died making him stumble as he took a step backwards. Oh great. Here he was, shirtless, sweating, mused and looking like he was just begging for a romp and some horny rider comes out of no where to…to what? Attack him? Ha, that was probably it. His eyes narrowed as he stared the man up and down. Thought he could just drop out of nowhere and take advantage of some silly farmer boy eh? Well it didn’t work like that!
Even if his dragoness was pretty.
“I would assume ya’ mistook me for ah lady, thou’ I know tha’ aint possible considerin’ I am shirtless an’ all. Don’ be callin me a cutie ya keen?” His farm bred accent was quite thick though with his rather joyful voice the sting of his words was taken out some what.
He cast his admiring glance once more over the topaz. “Pretty lady. Ya need some food or somethin? Water mayhap?” Why else would a rider drop down here? To molest you of course-the inner frightened him whimpered. He pointedly ignored that part though. While strange the rider had done nothing yet to warrant hostile responses-yet. He would wait for one more cutie comment.

I love it when they play hard to get. Not to mention his voice was just different enough to be intriguing. J'dol grinned and unbuckled himself from his straps, quickly sliding from Kayath's neck and landing with a practiced grace of sorts. The topaz merely snorted. There will come a day when you realize not everyone will fall head over heels for you. J'dol merely rolled his eyes. Of course everyone fell for him. He was one attractive piece of man-meat, if he did say so himself. I'll tell Avirith's. Now that brought a frown to his face. Sharding party-pooper dragon always had to drag his beloved weyrmate into it. He was just trying to have a little fun!
"Fine fine I get it." He raised his hands in mock defeat, though from the smirk on his face it was clear he was far from finished playing. "How about handsome, charming, attractive, lovely? Really, the list goes on and believe me, I have more than enough time to list off every adjective you bring to mind, since I have no name to call you by." Now that received a light thwak on his arm from his dragon's tail. Mine would be right when he calls you charming. Otherwise ignore him, he's just full of himself. Kayath had never hesitated to speak to humans other than her rider. She dropped her head and looked towards the man.
"I suppose I could call you farmboy, but that's hardly fun, now is it? Alright manly man, drag that ass of yours over here. We want a good look at you!" No one ever said J'dol was the type to act professionally.

Oh shards, seriously?! He would have given the rider the benefit of the doubt-had he not continued to talk. He doesn’t look entirely scared; there’s something else pulling at the corners of his mouth, something in the curve of his shoulders, something harder to pin down.
He almost, almost managed to ignore what was going on-but the look on his face was mostly alarmed incredulity as the rider continued to talk. He would have gone to him, no one said he had any ability to save his own skin even when he was frightened or grossed out-but those last words had him stopped short.
A kick to his ankle made him look down. Banner was the only firelizard he knew that did that, kicked him with his hind feet, claws out to attack him. Always ready with combat claws and fierce need to tear at flesh. He felt scratches gouge into his ankle, ignored them as he bent to pick down the red and before the beast could protest he did the only thing he could think of. He threw Banner right at the riders head.
Not taking kindly to be tossed like a rock the garnet firelizard twisted in the air, hoping to avoid hitting the rider before he bounded off using the nearest surface as purchase so he could pump into the air screaming his fury at this indignity.
Wincing at his firelizards loud protests he decided it was best to ignore the rider and instead spoke to the dragon pretending as though the man was invisible at best-and not there at worst.
“Names Kyprioth , Lady.” He bowed his head to her in respect the rather odd look in his eyes making them glint with something. Was it admiration? Oh quite but knowing Kyp it went a bit beyond that. He was trying a little to hard to prove that he liked the ladies thank you very much.
“Why for ya’ be wantin’ a look at me?” He inquired to her ever the gentleman and yes, yes he was hitting on a –dragon-. He pressed his charm onto the dragoness with everything he had. Had he been a dragon his eyes would have been forced purple (after all he had no want for any female, dragon or otherwise), and his tail would have twined with hers as he nibbled her neck. Since he couldn’t do any of that he just grinned up at her clearly liking what he saw.
“Can’ say I got much to look at,” Self deprecating humor always won the ladies over, right? “But if’n ya want to look then look. Sorry ‘bout Banner, I uh…I was startled.” He coughed to clear his throat not meeting the riders eyes. He almost acknowledged he was there by letting his eyes flicker over to the man-but that was it.
“Sure I can’ offer ye’ something to drink or eat? Good beasties around ‘ere, nice and fat and juicy. Don’ taste like the normal tithe beasts, my name sake says they all taste the same, plain and bland.”

J'dol had had a number of things thrown at him in the past, namely books, mugs, and the occasional shirt, but never a firelizard! It was unexpected enough that J'dol by no means moved fast enough to dodge the flailing mass of tooth and claw entirely and was left to yelp as the flit bounced off his arm.
"Not cute! Not cute at all!" He cried out, glancing at his arm to check the damage before looking back at the crazy farmboy. Was Kypriot ignoring him? For Kayath?! It wasn't fair! Oh hush Mine, obviously he has excellent taste. The topaz rumbled in amusement at the mental temper tantrum her rider was having. Dejected, J'dol huffed and leaned against Kayath, eyeing the boy curiously. There was something about his posture, his look, that just screamed weird to J'dol, but hey, to each his own. His grin returned soon enough though, J'dol had never been one to mope for long.
"Not much to look at? I beg to differ." He couldn't help it! Really, he was trying to behave. He threw his hands behind his head lazily, watching Kayath's eyes as she examined the boy, and hey, J'dol figured he should get a good look too. "Can you offer yourself up? You look awfully tasty." Now he was pushing it, and he knew it, but he was having fun and unwinding and the poor boy would have to live with it! There were times it was hard to believe the man had a weyrmate and child, with how he acted. You are SO distracting, stupid! Shut up and let me think! The topaz spoke for Kyprioth to hear as well as she reached out and pinned her rider with one of her massive claws, chortling at the yelp and groan of unhappiness.
"Oh come on, Kayath! I was just joking! It's his fault for being so amusing. Seriously, who's so freaked out by some harmless flirting?" He huffed and began trying to struggle out from beneath the claws, grumbling and groaning to himself as he went about it. At least the topaz could ignore him now. She turned her swirling eyes back at Kyprioth. Oh you are a charmer aren't you. I like you. Kyprioth is it? I'm afraid a queen like myself simply cannot gorge, no matter how delicious you make it sound. She paused and huffed, sending a blast of warm air over him. Yes, I like you. It would be good for you to come with me. J'dolMine, can we keep him? Of course, Kayath spoke so Kyprioth could hear ever word. She saw no reason to keep her intention from him.

“I, you! Argh. Ya’ll find me to tough ta’ chew.” He spat at the rider a look of increasingly uncomfortable anxiety roaming over his handsome, narrow features. He found himself edging his way around where the man was to get on the other side of the topaz quite glad that the lady was, to put it bluntly, well shaped. She acted the perfect shield between himself and this animal that was clearly trying to do terrible things to him. Stories his Father told him, about riders who caught farmers in the fields during flights, swam in his mind. Distracting half images of males forcing themselves on males, evil rampages to get all the pretty young things before anyone else could. Of course he fabricated most of the story, but the point was he had been told something like it.
He had to admit though, as much as he was subconsciously forcing his delight of the lady onto himself-he found himself warming to her. She had a rather no nonsense personality and he loved how she just told her rider off. Of course he couldn’t fault her for picking a raging sexual beast like her rider. Accidents happened after all, and she had been newly hatched when she had impressed. Obviously children were bad judges of character.
A laugh was startled out of him as the man was pinned down. “Oooh Lady, I like you.” He cooed sweetly to her snickering cruelly at the man on the ground. Finally.
A part of him, the annoying part of him that saw a cliff face and wondered-can I jump that and will I live?-was curious how heavy those claws were and how sharp. He ignored the urge to go and touch-for now, but he was straining towards the topaz with great interest. Almost creepy, stalkerish interest as it were.
``Only inta`ladies.`He hissed at J`dol before turning back, stumbling under the warm breathe, and grinned at Kayath. Go with her? Heck he’d go with her to the end of the earth if that’s what she wanted. “Oh lady I would happily go wit’ ya and let ya keep me. Not ‘im though, the likes o’ him are more apt tah get caught wit’ his hand down some lads pants then anythin’ good.” He sniffed disdainfully.
He should probably tell his parents that he was going with some strange dragon and her perverted rider-but his thoughts were on anything but that. A Queen, a Queen wanted to keep him! He practically wiggled with sensuous delight over the very idea of it.
A step towards Kayath was all he was able to take. His foot caught on air and with a windmill of limbs the lad went down with a rather painful smack on the ground. Yelping in pain and red from embarrassment he got to his brushing dirt off of his face and skinned chin.
“Banner pushed me.” He stated simply enough, turning his chin towards where the garnet lay, basking in the sun and obviously ignoring everything around him. Banner happened to be a good few feet away from them all which meant there was no way he could have pushed –anyone-.
“Wit’ his mind.” Kyprioth added after thinking for a moment. “Tis a smart flit.” Oh indeedly, tis indeed.

"Oh you are missing out then KypriBaby!" He shot back, having gotten the boy's name from Kayath as he finished struggling out from under the large claw. "One night with me and I can guarantee you'd be swearing off women entirely." He flashed the man a wink, confident that he wouldn't go anywhere now that Kayath had her eyes on him. J'dol gave himself a quick glanceover, only to see what looked unmistakebly like a tear out of the corner of his eye. Groaning to himself, he yanked off his jacket and shirt to inspect the damage.
"That's the second jacket you've wrecked Kay! I can't afford to keep buying new clothes!" He grumbled, working the shirt over in his hands to see if he could at least salvage part of it. Though he couldn't help but grin at Kyprioth's accusation. "Not only lads my friend. My hands like to find their way into skirts too." J'dol couldn't quite pin why he was so adamant about trying to mess with this fellow, but it had been far too long since he had had the freedom to do so. Not that he would follow through with it anyways, he had some morals... sometimes, and he wasn't going to betray his baby girl!
Brushing off his shirt once more, he finally pulled it back over his head, tossed his jacket over his shoulder, and stepped towards Kyprioth again, though with his hands in his pockets it was clear he wouldn't be able to do much, at least with any speed. He let out a hoot of laughter, and even Kayath rumbled in amusement as the boy tripped over thin air and started blaming the nearby flit.
"Oh face it Kyppy, you're falling for me!" J'dol grinned as he stepped closer again, though oddly enough he did leave the farmboy with a decent amount of personal space. Kyprioth, sweetheart, I swear Mine is not as insufferable as he seems. Besides, you'll only have to tolerate him a short while, a quick flight and we could have you at the Weyr in no time. Normally Kayath wouldn't have been so keen on finding candidates for the other topaz's clutch, but she rather liked this silly man!
"That's if you have interest in being searched for a dragon clutch anyways." For a moment, just a brief moment, J'dol's posture and voice was actually serious. They needed candidates, and as fun as it was to torment this guy, J'dol knew they needed to actually give him a chance.

“One night with ya’ and Id be swearin’ off mah manhood.” He muttered under his breath-hopefully quiet enough that the other wouldn’t hear him. Really though you think the man would figure by now that Kyprioth was not, in the very least in no way shape or form no matter what even if he was the last human on earth-interested in him that way. In fact he wasn’t interested in him at all. Really the only reason he was on his radar was the fact that he was bonded to such a lady. A Queen lady at that. There had to be some redeeming factors to the rider because of his bond, but he couldn’t bother to figure out what it was at the current moment.
He shot the man a rather rude look as he laughed and made the obvious joke about him falling for him. “Aye, when ya the last man on Pern mayhap.” He grunted hoping he would get that there was no way, no way what so ever that he would find himself warm and cuddly with this rider. Oh, he’d probably be pressed up against him very nearly soon(and why did that thought make his throat tighten and his heart skip a beat? Disgust surely!), but only in the sense that it was a means to an end. The Weyr, he would be going to the weyr!
“Interested in standin’, are ya crazy? O’ course Im interested!” He all but barked at the rider forgetting for a quick moment that he was supposed to be terrified of the man. Grinning happily at him he stepped over to Banner carefully scooping the firelizard up. Protesting with quiet little growls the garnet curled himself around his handlers neck glaring balefully at the dragoness in front of him. How dare she give his handler such hope and happiness! He was supposed to be upset and angry and….and things. He was to tired to bother to figure it out.
“Named after a dragon, after all,” He tells the rider, right proudly of course the grin on his face pure delight. He loved his heritage and the fact that unlike his sibs, he was named after a –dragon-. He truly had an idol to hold in high regard.
“Bronze Kyprioth, won’ know em, he’s from far off.” He nodded knowingly waving his hand in a vague direction of the west. “Helped me mom birth me and everythin’, s’why she kept the name. Didn’ figure I would be standin though, bit late aint it?” He cocked his head to the side all but vibrating with the want to get on her back and just go. Excitement! A trip, an adventure! Oooh he could see so many possibilities to put his life in danger. If Banner’s teeth and claws were as sharp as they were how bad would a dragonets be?
“Course, “ He said slowly realizing that he might be coming off a tad strong, “know I might not bond and all. Don’ really have any skills that would be o’ use around a weyr though. But ill go wit’ ya M’Lady, if ya promise that yer’ rider will be keepin his hands to himself and all tha’. Being a Queen he must be a respectful gentlemun’ o’ course..I wager. Just right now perhaps the heats got to him. Surely.” Oh surely indeed. And pigs would fly.

J'dol didn't quite catch what the man had said, but by the muttering he could guess it wasn't an agreement to have some fun. It didn't bother the tanned rider at all, truth be told. He wasn't trying to actually woo Kyprioth, nor did he intend to follow through with his jokes. Once upon a time he might have, but one could say he had calmed down over the last Turn. With a smile, he gave a lazy shrug of his shoulders in response to being the last man on earth. He almost wanted to make a comment about how Kyp should make sure not to impress a large dragon, but scaring the lad with stories of flightlust would hardly win him over. J'dol had never been extraordinarily fond of searching; he had a gem experience now and again that made it at least mildly tolerable (like today) but for the most part he found it to be dull. If there was one thing that made it worth while though, it was the change in attitude that many seemed to go through the moment candidacy became a possibility. Kyprioth himself was a shining example. For a moment, J'dol wondered if he had forgotten all about the jokes, but he would behave... for a moment. "I'd say you've got... another Turn or two on you, if I'm any judge of age. Maybe more if you get on the 'leader's good side." At least, the man looked to be in his early twenties at the oldest. He offered up a playful wink. "Besides, we had one looker of a man impress at the last hatching and he must have been in his thirties. The dragon knows best." At that, his massive topaz gave a light rumble and turned to look at her rider, her eyes whirling happy shades of green and blue as J'dol scratched one of her large eyeridges. He would never forget his own impression and the love he felt for his lifemate was clear in every fiber of his body. Oh he can behave when he wants to, I can assure you of that much. It's getting him to want to behave that is the tricky part. Kayath rumbled again, earning a roll of the eyes from her rider. Sweeping a hand through his hair, he finally held his hands up in defeat. "Alright, alright. You party poopers win. I promise I'll keep my hands off... where possible." Sheesh! People needed to learn to let loose. He almost shot in that it was Kyp's scaredy-cat attitude that had 'gotten to him', but he kept his mouth shut. Besides, there was business to attend to, so for a moment at least he needed to act somewhat properly. "Alright then, consider yourself a candidate. Have any family you need to tell or can I sweep you off your feet and carry you away immediately? Oh and luggage... you may want to pack a few things unless you plan on running about the Weyr naked... which I wholeheartedly support by the way. I can send a rider to pick your things up later if you'd prefer though." Kayath nodded with a definitive snort. She would drag this man back to the Weyr if she had to, but she wasn't leaving without him. No ifs, ands, or buts. Have you ever flown, Kyprioth? Well, even if you have, flying with a queen as majestic as myself is a whole new experience. She posed then, and from her 'look at me' attitude it was possible to see the connection between herself and her rider; they both loved themselves. As she preened, J'dol just shook his head and shimmied up to her neck to strap himself in. Grinning down at the newly-made candidate, he leaned over and held out his hand. Kayath was a large dragon, at roughly forty-six feet, and unless he had experience mounting large dragons Kyprioth would probably need a hand. "If you're itching to go now, hop on up and we can get this party started." Above and beyond that, J'dol was interested in seeing how the man would react; after all, J'dol hadn't come with passenger straps, so Kyp would very well need to tolerate having the rider's arms around him to keep from falling.

“A right looker eh? Yer ain't right modest.” There was a laugh coloring his voice though and he found his fingers loosening and his muscles relaxing. Yes the man was a pervert and bound to stick his hand down the nearest lads pants, not his he would lose fingers if he tried that, but he was searching him. He was taking him to a life. He might not bond but that didn’t matter at all. He would stand, he would get a chance to see baby dragons! “She is a buet’.” He told the rider truthfully. The topaz had left a mark on him, dragon or not she was a fine lady.
“Oh...I should go tell me family but they've been busy wiv me nieces and nephews. I would prefer if a rider just picks up me kit later. Or maybe my uncle can drop them off since 'e's visitin'. I uh..would ravver not cop into teary farewells.” He hated sounding like he didn’t love his family. He did, he loved them with all his crooked heart it was just if he went back now they all would demand the right to give him kisses and hugs good bye and considering how large his family was it could take quite a long while before he could leave.
“Yes Lady, right, I've flown. My uncles dragon 'as taken me a few places. But yor right, none such as yorself." He was a right flirt that was for sure. Stepping over to her side his eyes cast upward to take in the rider and the lack of those extra straps his uncle had on Kyprioth. A twitch at the corner of his mouth. This didn’t set well with him and already his poor stomach was starting to feel rather off kilter because of everything that had happened.
Oh well, man up. He took the hand carefully, though awkwardly thanks to his lack of grace, scrambling up the dragons limb to sit in front of the rider. Behind would be less touchy but that would also be the worst place for someone not used to dragon back to fly. The wings were to close and he could easily fall off.
“Banner, get ov’ ere!” The garnets head lifted and he regarded them with obvious dislike. Stretching like a cat the haggard beast slunk his way over to crawl up the Topaz’s leg coiling himself some where in front of Kyprioth. He was a surprising gentleman, didn’t pull a neck ridge or claw or at all, merely sat there with his claws tucked in just enough so he didn’t fall muttering darkly only to her that he would prefer of his person smacked into the ground a few times-just to lose some of his humor. Of course it was all very graphic images but hey.
"There be a clutch soon?" Kyprioth asked, turned to eye the rider with excitement. "Banner will be right busy soon', has ta' tell me sister about di..." He stopped and his face darkened. Oh right, his sister wasn't some where where she would be happy to hear about this. He wondered if that would be held against him. Would he not be able to stand?

I do so like you, Kyprioth. You have a fine eye for beauty. She posed a little more, feeling more than full of herself. It had been a while since someone had complimented her so wonderfully. I compliment you all the time, silly. Kayath snorted. Not since your wailing hatchling was born. You should love me most, stupid rider, not her. He gave his dragon an affectionate pat and mentally reminded her that she was the light of his life. He couldn't help but grin as Kyprioth took his hand, mildly surprised that he didn't put up more of a fight, especially since he seemed to know how close they'd be. Perhaps his little chicken act wasn't as strong as the topazrider had believed?
"Oh, I suppose I should officially introduce myself." He hadn't even realized he had forgotten until just then. "Weyrlord J'dol, rider of Topaz Kayath, at your service, cutie." Of course, the cutie remark was added on just to annoy the man now that he couldn't exactly run away. As he spoke, he immediately wrapped his arms around Kyprioth's waist and pulling the man flush against him. "Now don't you worry, I swear I'm not trying to take advantage of you or anything. Last thing I want is for you to tumble off between. Though I must say you are the perfect size for a good bout of cuddling." Did he snuggle a tad closer than necessary? Of course! But he wouldn't be J'dol if he understood the importance of personal space. He did, however, like to give his prey the opportunity to escape, so as long as Kyprioth was on Kayath's neck, he'd be safe from the worst of the teasing.
"There's a clutch on the sands right now, the one you'll be standing for." He replied with a friendly smile. You are worthy of my eggs, but sadly it is the wench's eggs that grace the sands. She pales next to my beauty. Kayath jumped into their minds once more, the dislike she felt for the other topaz obvious from the tone of her voice. J'dol would have paid the man's word's little heed, but the sudden stop and dark expression made him cock his head in curiousity. "What's wrong?" Kayath prepared herself for launching, but at her rider's confusion she paused, knowing they wouldn't be able to speak easily once she was airborne.

Kyprioth hangs on the dragons neck and doesn’t talk much, the silence momentarily crushing rather than companionable, he can only stop and stare as he’s told who the man is. The weyrlord? The weyrlord is an assaulting molesting gay man? He shook his head, unsure of what to say to such a thing. Surely he had heard wrong. But apparently not. Banner pressed the information onto him that it was right and he found himself shaking his head, amazed and rather dazed to begin with.
“Weyrlord, and ya hittin’ on me?” He asked him with vague disquiet, not quite sure what else to say about it. Deciding it was best to pay attention only to the dragon for the moment he patted her neck with affection. “Beautiful lady, as I said. Shame I ain’ be standin for yor’ clutch but mayhap if I fail at this one I can be standin for yors ya? If all else fails I can be there ta support ya, ya keen? Pretty lady like yerself gots lot o’support but I wager that ya might notice me if I’n pop in on ya eggs to see how beautiful they be.” He patted her again. He quite liked how she felt. She was smooth and warm and alive. Beautiful indeed. Female or not he wanted nothing more than to keep touching her warm frame. She was alive. She was there. She was real. She was not one of his dreams.
“Nice tah’ meetcha J’dol. Figures Id’ be searched by tha’ weyrlord.” He muttered under his breathe stiff under the hands of the man who held him firm on his topaz dragon. No he wasn’t about to pass out or run but he was damn close to doing something stupid. The touch itself was driving him up the wall partially because it was nice, it was warm and shardit no it was neither of that. He shook his head trying to erase the thoughts that he wanted this, wanted to be touched, wanted to be wanted even if it was just a joke and was just for fun.
Kyprioth did his best to fall into his jester persona self as J’dol questioned his change of emotions. “Oh haha yeh…” He wasn’t sure if he should tell him. After all he knew, vaguely about the wars and the rebellion. He was sure his sister had picked that side only to get as far away as possible from him. “My uh..sister, only sister ya keen? She’s uh, ya part o’ the rebellion..figured ya wont want me standin cause o’ that.” His voice dropped an octave as he grew rather depressed thinking about it. The last few messages from his sisters white firelizard had been rather…short as it were. It wasn’t something he wanted to get into. He loved her, he did truly but he knew that she wanted nothing to do with him and it tore him up inside.
“Just o’redneck to ‘er, ya figure she’d get over it bein born ‘ere and all but ya well. Can go and figure tha’ much anyway. She upt and left us rather quickly like, figures she’s better than the rest o’ us. She probably’ is. Yor think I can still stand? Sorry if that offends yeh, M’lady..” He was rather off put that it might depress the dragon and he awkwardly stopped patting her neck looking rather lost and unsure.

J'dol actually laughed, a deep hearty sound, as Kyprioth questioned his flirting. Was flirting that much of a shock to this guy? Had he never goofed around with others before? He could assume the candidate may have never fooled around with men, based on his response to being hit on, but even still, the question caught J'dol by surprise.
"Am I not allowed to hit on whoever I want? Sure it may not be professional for.. well various reasons, but I can't help it. You have quite the interesting response. I've never seen anyone get so offended by a compliment before." He shrugged, not thinking more of it. "I am who I am and I'll be damned if I let titles and silly expectations change that." He gave a nod of finality. He was professional when he absolutely had to be, but otherwise he was more than happy to be himself.
I suppose I must wish you luck for her clutch though, even if my eggs would be superior. I would be most upset if you did not come to see my eggs, they must get the attention they deserve. She turned her head to regard her passengers as they spoke. You are most amusing Kyprioth, Mine was sure you would freak out about close contact. You have successfully stumped him, good job! J'dol grinned, not denying her words at all. It was true, he had expected a flight response, not that he was complaining of course; cooperation was always appreciated.
"You are just full of surprises aren't you?" J'dol grinned, moving to rest his chin on Kyprioth's shoulder as the man spewed about his sister's involvement in the Rebellion. "Ah see, now that's just silly. Kayath has picked you, not your sister, so why should her allegience play any part in your candidacy? Shards man, the clutch you'll be standing for was laid by a dragonesses from the Rebellion." In the end, all J'dol cared about was making sure the hatchlings had a wide selection of men and women to impress to. He chuckled again, not missing the tenseness in Kyp's body, though he though it was fear rather than a potential interest in being touched. "You need to relax, cutie. As much fun as it would be to torment you, I wont do more than words. Unless you want me to of course!" He wiggled his eyesbrows suggestively.

A defiant set of his jaw relaxed at J’dol’s words and the man actually surprised a laugh out of him. Kyprioth was not meant to be sad or angry, he was not a creature who enjoyed spending his time moping. He was built for jumping off of high ledges and making an all-around nuisance of himself. Even though J’dol was frightening him a bit, being the sexual deviant that he was-he was also offering him a new life and on top of that toying with the defiant sides of him that refused to listen to authority figures.
“Not gunna’ be askin ya.” He told him with a shake of his head. He figures its safe to be with the man ,his dragon seems nice enough and she had after all complimented him which touched his ego quite a bit. He did not trust J’dol, not completely but he was at least not going to curl up into a ball and burst into a set of tragic tears at the very whisper of a thought of J’dol touching him.
“Ain be sayin ya gotta follow tah’ rules an all o’ that. Just figured that the bloody weyrlord would actually be some frightenin' lad I guess. Yer don't exactly follow the chuffin' stereotypical patterns. Wich is a good fin' don't get me wrong. Cliche weyrlords would be bovversome, and would 'ave tipped me off of their dragon by now.”
It was true, he figured. He hadn’t spent much time with dragonriders, really only his uncle. His uncle didn’t count, the man was what he wanted to be, which was a loner except for visits to his favorite nieces and nephews. He did not speak of the weyr in which he lived nor did he get pestered to say anything about it. All Kyprioth knew about the weyr and dragons and their riders was the same thing every other farm bred child knew. Which wasn’t much, and a lot of sexual stories.
“Should get goin’ ya?” He nodded his head upward, shifted uncomfortably in the others grasp and patted Banner on the back at the same time for his own comfort. The garnet let a little gurgle of dislike escape him accidentally nipping at the nearest neck ridge in front of him before he continued to cling onto the topaz.
He wondered if he could talk just to Kayath. He wanted to admit something to her, but he figures that he’s never shown signs of being able to talk to dragons mind to mind before, why would he start now? He bit his lip, feeling foolish as he thought at least, hard in her general direction. If anything he at least gave himself a headache.
Im actually scared of women Was all he had admitted to her, or himself. He wasn’t sure if talking inside your own head qualified you as being insane or not.
“Mayhap I won’ be getting a dragon this clutch then I can stand for ‘ers.” He smiled and fondly patted her on the neck already feeling a little crush on Kayath. He wouldn’t mind if he didn’t bond the first time. He did say he could stand a few times.
