Nai felt herself ripped off the dragonet. This wasn't going well. At all. She gave a small shriek as the bronze dragonet ripped her arm and leg. That hurt. It was also going to leave massive scars no doubt. She closed her eyes, feeling tears well at her eyes. At least she'd potentially saved someone. She knew she might lose her life. It was a risk she was willing to take. She liked dragons, but sometimes the system was so... backwards. She felt white, black, and red swirling at her vision as she nearly blackened out from a combination of pain and yank-force of the dragon that had pulled her.
She breathed in and out quickly, willing her body to stay awake. She might die, but she'd rather be awake to die. After a moment of breathing in and out, and she opened her eyes to see what held her in its claws. She was face to snout with a very large Garnet king. She knew very little about dragons, but she knew enough. Kings were protective. Grumpy. Dangerous. Still very liable to kill her. Garnets were especially vicious and temperamental. Angry, dangerous. She really was in a bad place.
Nai had faced men like this dragon before. They were big, dangerous, fast, deadly. Certainly more dangerous than she was. She was just a small plaything to them. No amount of martial arts could or would save her. She was all on her own. The dragon couldn't be talked down, or reasoned with. The best she could do was to be... uninteresting.
Despite her pain, Nai folded her arms as best as she could. Gritting her teeth she brought her legs up underneath her. This was all she could do. She closed her eyes, hanging in the air, as if meditating. That was all she could do.
All...
She...
Could...
Do...
Consciousness was fleeting.

Two eggs broke shell almost simultaneously, though they were from very different clutches. The first revealed a medium sized amethyst. Her long neck and pointed head looking over the surrounding eggs and dragonets, it didn’t take long for the Calmest Mind Amethyst decided that she didn’t quite like what was going on. With the green and topaz having a silent stand off, the Calmest Mind Amethyst knew the game they were playing was simply not fair and certainly not one she wanted to become part of. No.. she knew the type of game she wanted. A fair one; impression. Lifting herself away from the eggs with long legs, she took only a few steps before wobbling and falling over. Feet flailing in the air she cried out for her bonded. It took a while for anyone to respond, during which the egg-wet dragoness managed to at least right herself, but finally one of the candidates ran forward to claim her. Chirping happily, the Calmest Mind Amethyst was only too pleased to follow her partner off the sands. The other egg to hatch was taking its sweet time revealing the dragon within. The first thing to escape the confines of the red and brown shell was the tip of a sea-green wing. A bit of flailing and a squawk of protest at the shell before the egg finally gave way, spilling the large blue onto the sands, his long, spindly legs kicking and flailing as he tried to right himself. Once he rolled over however, and gained an understanding of where he was and what he was doing, the Burning Branch Blue calmed visibly. There was nothing to panic about after all. His sandmates were off in their own little world and he way over here, with an empty belly and a need to find his partner. He stood, his heavy muscling, located primarily in his chest, rippled with every movement and it was clear he would be a strong dragon early on. He stood, showing off a strangely hunched appearance and looking up to the sky in thought. Or rather, he seemed to be looking up at the girl. Crooning in worry, the Burning Branch Blue almost seemed to be asking his queen what someone as tiny as she could have done to deserve such rough treatment. Surely her current treatment was horribly unfair. After all, what could she do against a dragon so large? Surely she would be put down soon right? What if one of his brethren hatched and needed to find her? He turned his eyes on the large garnet and crooned again. Surely a dragon as big and powerful as he was didn’t need to waste his time with a little girl right?

Liam was relieved when another (older, more experienced) healer came flying across the dangerous sands to drop by his side. The older healer seemed to know a bit more about what she was doing, and how he was feeling. Liam was certainly appreciative to Linda, but he definitely liked this new healer better.
The new healer was pulling out her own supplies, and Liam was relieved when she told Linda to get back to the hatching. He didn't want Linda to miss Impressing just because of him! That wouldn't be fair! "I have a hatchling to wait for, too!" He exclaimed, however. The healer seemed to know exactly how he was feeling, promed he would be able to stay, and even offered to help him if he needed it.
Liam turned to Cayin and gave the other boy a weak push when he saw that the terrible bronze had Impressed to someone else. "A little cut won't keep me from you," he whispered, raising a hand to the other man's face. "Won't keep me from my dragon, either." His eyes were glazed over in pain, but it seemed Linda had staunched the blood.
He was still dizzy, but he gave Cayin another push. "You go back, Cay. I'll be all right here with..." He searched for the healer's name, but he didn't know her. "Well, anyway, I'll be all right here with her. You go find your own hatchling to Impress!" Now that the danger of the bronze was gone, Liam wanted his lover back on those sands as quickly as possible!

Lilia watched almost avidly, gasping out a bit as her hands went to her face from the bronze's attack on the poor boy. It seemed though he was getting help at least, a girl running towards the bronze however and... Did the unthinkable and tackled the bronze to hurt him or something? Her hands kept clasped over her face as even her eyes went wide as she stared. In her mind she hoped both would be okay, only to watch in further terror from the gold and garnet. They were tormenting that poor girl!!
Now that was just way too much, Lilia started to shiver in her seat. She couldn't and wouldn't do anything, and frankly now she was starting to get worried about her own life. Why did she think it was such a good thing to come to this hatching? Was it because of the mutations? The garnet was particularly vicious and well... Her mind raced, she didn't know what to think right now as tears just started to trickle down her cheeks.
Linda however was more concerned about Liam, her attention did split off as she noticed a woman tackled the Bronze... well at least it would make the healers jobs easier if she succeeded. Yufa showed up and well, as much as she hated to admit it Yufa would be a better healer to help Liam with. "Okay then, you'll be healed here by Yufa. Linda didn't move from beside them though, it would be terrible if he got hurt more and her having to postpone training or try to make it special or something.
Linda though, just saw how the girl was taken by the gold queen and her garnet king. Well if she was really attacking the bronze and trying to hurt him, served her right. But a death of a human at a Hatching like this that wasn't accidental wasn't really a good sign... Slowly she started to walk forward to the clutch a bit and coughed a little bit in hopes of getting some attention. "I know this isn't my place... and that she is in the wrong... But would it be a good thing to mar such a happy occasion as the eggs hatching with a death? Accidental death I understand, but why not just deal with her later? So you can take joy in the new lives"

Two new eggs hatched and Ooma couldn't help but be awed. So many pretty hatchlings... Would one be hers?
The Black Cat Green was such a pretty female.. She'd touched that egg and hoped perhaps it would remember that..
The topaz.. it had not liked her touch. To vain? Ooma wasn't sure..
The girl tasted blood and realized she's bit her lip nervously. I'm worrying too much..

R'hard could only watch with a gaping mouth as one of the female candidates actually grappled the young bronze. As if he was some sort of misbehaving herdbeast! He wasn't surprised at the reaction of the adult dragons, but it was clear she was trying to keep him from mauling anyone else. Still, it was an incredibly foolhardy thing to do, and he shook his head as she was pulled off of the bronze by Thormyth.
His eyes widened further when the bronze went on to Impress a female candidate. What was with the dragons in this hatching? They seemed to thrive on drama. He turned his attention to the green and topaz still wandering the sands, hoping they at least would Impress without incident. He did take note of the blue that hatched from Kayath's clutch, wondering who that one was doing.

Thormyth rumbled in delight, clearly pleased that his bronze son had seemed to have a knack for inflicting pain as he snapped at the foolish female child dangling in his claw. Before long though Izanycorth gave the young king a nudge and off he happily trotted to finally find His. The GarnetKing tried to ignore the fact that the hatchling had decided to pick one of the weak and pathetic females over the weak, but slightly less pathetic looking males. He didn't dwell long on the disappointing scene however as the figure in his claws woke from her daze with a small twitch.
Ah, now what to do with this little snack? Thormyth took a deep breath, a rapid an eager huff of air filled his lungs, but it was the scent of her blood and fear that drove him wild. His jaws opened slowly with a wet, sickening sound, as if he was really thinking about eating her. Well of course he was! You didn't expect him to be all bark and no bite, did you?
As his jaws parted even further he drew his tongue over his fangs before uttering a low growl in Kayath's direction. As if he required her permission! Thormyth! Put her down! NOW! The Weyrking let out a terrible roar as Vl'kan forced both his will and his words on the violent dragon. Snarling, Thormyth tightened his grip momentarily on the girl, wishing to inflict one last bit of pain and misery, before he basically dropped her to land in a heap in the sand. Still snarling, he snorted at the recently hatched blue before stepping back a dragonlength from the eggs and slowly settling down on his stomach. His swirling crimson stained eyes never once left the remaining candidates.
Up in the stands Vl'kan had leapt from his seat and now stood grasping the railing, glaring at dragons and candidates alike. He could already hear J'degar raising a fuss over what happened. Good, at least someone was reacting properly! "Where are my damn Weyrling and CandidateMasters? Get that girl off the sands and get her a healer! NOW!"

Well, the Burning Branch Blue wasn’t sure if it had been his croons that had gotten the large male to put down the poor girl, but either way she was safe and sound on the ground… in a manner of speaking anyways. There was nothing he could do for her now, save perhaps finding someone to heal her. Perhaps he would do that! Hmm… the young male seemed to pause in thought before turning to the candidates. Well, there was someone right there? Oh but she was busy with a rather injured young man! The blue hobbled over towards the healer and the bleeding boy before dropping on his haunches then and there and looking up at first Cayin, then Yufa before glancing back at Nai. Couldn’t they see the girl needed help? Liam was looking all nice and patched up now after all! Two cracks from behind caused the Burning Branch Blue to look back at the two clutches. Over near Kayath, the strangely long Golden Scales Egg was rocking, cracks spreading over its shell slowly. It, however, was not to be the one to hatch just yet. From the Chaos egg in Izanycorth’s clutch shot a dark grey foot followed by an equally dark, and unnaturally thin body. The Chaos Ebony took two seconds to look around, spotting his topaz and green sisters nearby, as well as a blue off with the candidates and immediately knew his goal. It was time to GO! Shooting up, the ebony trotted around the sands so quickly that he almost seemed to float along the ground, save for the occasional stumble when he lost his footing. He dove in and out between the candidates in excitement, his exuberance causing him to bump into Ooma, his claws finding the flesh of her leg accidentally as he flailed for balance. Before so much as a look back though, the Chaos Ebony was off again, looking for his. He had always dreamed of finding His! He had to see it through! But… Not one of the females here were quite right… and the males were either.. oh but he wished they were! He wanted to make their hopes and dreams of impressing come true. He knew his partner was out there… he could feel her, for it was most definitely a pretty girl he wanted! Oh but where was she? His eyes turned to the stands, searching as his boddy wriggled in excitement. Oh! OH! He found her! Oh OH! Lilli~Lilli~Lilli~Lilliaaaaa!!!! You are mine and I am yours, just as I dreamt it would be! Oh, but that’s not my only dream of course, and you have dreams too I bet, and we’ll fulfill them all! But first my poor tummy dreams of being full… would you help your Nauth achieve that dream first?
Chaos Ebony Nauth Impressed To: Lillia Pronunciation: No-th Rank: Ebony Size: 19.7 Feet (3.9 Feet at Hatching) Color Codes: 111111 333432 6e6d6f
Appearance:
Nauth is rather short and stocky compared to most ebonies. His build is neither lithe nor willowy but is rather more solid and bulky. His legs are an average length, but he still seems to hold himself close to the ground, as if attempting to blend in with his surroundings. His neck is short , though not abnormally so, and his head is a bit rounder than most. His bulk is off-set by his skinniness. While he is not lacking in muscle, he does have an unnatural skinniness to him, even for an ebony.
This ebony is primarily a dark grey bordering on black. Like all of his rank, there isn’t any colour to his hide, and even his markings don’t stand out much, which is fine by him. Reaching from just behind his wing arm and down along his back to his tail is a light, but dull grey that dissipates near the tip. A section of his belly is the same dull grey. His face has multiple shades on it. From his snout to just past his eyes is a middling grey. Reaching from his eyes down the side of his face and covering a chunk of his under-neck is a lighter smoky grey.
Nauth never walks. That’s not to say he doesn’t move around. On the contrary this dragon loves to move. It is just that he always trots wherever he goes, giving the illusion that he floats above the ground since his claws seem to barely touch the ground. Like the ripples in a lake, Nauth seems to flow when he moves, expanding on and out rather gracefully despite his stocky build.
Personality:
Energetic, Dreamer, Goal-setter, Supprotive
Nauth is one chaotic dragon. A bundle of energy in black hide, this ebony seems to be everywhere and nowhere all at once. This dragon never seems to run out of energy, even when he goes without sleep or works himself to death he will continue moving. He can be a bit overwhelming, especially to calmer humans and dragons, but he doesn’t seem to notice or care. He does like to tell his rider everything he imagines. He is a storyteller in dragonhide.
Nauth has an imagination to match his energy. He’s the kind of dragon who dreams big and plans even bigger. There will never be a moment where this ebony isn’t thinking about the next big thing, or his next goal in life. However, unlike some dreamers, Nauth believes that if he puts the effort into it, he can make his dreams come true. In fact, his biggest goal in life is to make every other dream of his or his rider’s come true. He can be a little overpowering at times. He can get rather nitpicky when it comes to his dreams. A perfectionist of sorts, he will complain if something doesn’t reach his standard and, if possible he will do everything in his power to fix things that aren’t satisfactory.
This dragon has a big heart. He hates seeing others mope about when a dream fails to be fulfilled, or even to see someone sad. He is always willing to lend a shoulder to cry on and he can be an incredibly supportive friend. He’ll stick himself out for his friends all the time.
Mind-Voice: Oh Mine! I had a dream last night. I dreamt we were going to fly to...
Energetic and bubbly, you can't help but feel cheerful when you listen to Nauth's voice, though the shrill sound can quickly get annoying.
Inspiration: God of Chaos Nun

Oh! The ebony hatched, a surprise from the rainbow swirled egg. He tottered near her and the black haired girl felt almost certain he was choosing her! Ooma felt her heart beat race again, dizzying and exciting.
But no. The dark colored hatchling tripped somehow, clearly searching for his, and bumped Ooma. His weight didn't harm her, but his claws caught her leg. Her flesh cut so easily as the dragon's sharp claws sliced them. It was not purposeful.. but.. but it hurt!
She fell onto her other leg, grabbing her harmed leg to her chest. Her white robe splattered red, and blood trickled down her knee...
Gritting her teeth, Ooma peered up at the stands, watching the ebony impress. She should leave... this.. thus was so hard..
Her gaze found R'hard. The cut looked much worse than it actually was, esspecially in this white robe! And of course, pale sands...

Considering the way Kayath's blue was hovering around the girl who'd thrown herself at the bronzes in interest, R'hard half expected him to Impress her. That would be just what they all needed, he thought wryly. He seemed to be in no hurry to find his rider, though, and he felt Kaith's impatience as the blue dithered about.
Another one of Kayath's eggs was rocking quite strongly, now, and R'hard watched the Golden Scales egg closely, but it wasn't the next to hatch. Instead, an ebony male hatched from one of Izanycorth's eggs and practically leaping towards the candidates. He shook his head at the ebony's excited behavior, until he ran into Ooma.
R'hard let out a soft gasp, clenching his fists as his friend got scratched by the dragon's claws. At least that one had definitely been an accident, unlike the other ones, but still. He hoped it wasn't too serious. He barely noticed when the dark hatchling approached the stands like his sister before him, no doubt calling his rider. He stayed put, with some effort; there was little he could do for her now but get in the way. The healers were close enough to take care of it, and hopefully she was still well enough to stand on the sands.

(pardon my absence and this short post, but it is almost impossible for me to get on right now. )
Hanako stood her ground at the edge of the sands watching each hatchling. She couldnt believe some of the things she had seen hapening so far, and she hugged herself tightly just wishing things would soon be over. She found S'bel in the stands and gave him a tremmulous smile. She couldn't help the feeling that they'd still made a mistake, but It was far too late to turn back now.
Dal sat in the stands watching all the happenings. Some of the eggs turned out to be what he'd thought they'd be when he'd touched them. The little Topaz was just lovely. He yawned and stretched, becoming used to hatchings since he'd attended his first. No one sat in front of him, so he propped his feet up leisurely.
There were still so many unhatched eggs. He looked forward to seeing each and every one of them.

Linda watched and waited... Not knowing how long it seemed to last before finally Nai was dropped to the ground. She could hear the Weyrleader screaming.. or what she thought was him to get her a healer and off the sands. She couldn't really move her all that well by herself but she could certainly try to help with the extensive injuries. Without a second thought though the young woman ran over to Nai, giving a swift nod to the queen and king before getting to work. It would take awhile to clean out the wounds and everything, but if she lost too much more blood she would die. The rest could be taken care off when she was taken off the sands and really gotten at.
"Stay with me, don't pass out, keep yourself awake for now. Try to not move alright?" Linda spoke as slow as she could for Nai as she brought out what bandages she did have left... but of course it wasn't enough. Quickly she went to wrap around the wounds as tightly as she could, well not too tightly but to try to stop the blood from coming out too much. She needed to staunch it until Yufa or someone else could get here and people could help move her. Quickly she brought out her knife and cut the bottom hem of her candidate robes. Using them now to try to use for staunching blood. If it was going to help she didn't care... considering how things were happening she would impress right before death and then where would they be. "Soon we will get you moved, several people to try to not move you too much incase anything is broken or hurt too much."
Lilia was so intent on watching the girl, hoping she would be okay even as she dropped to the ground. Oh that Garnet, what a meanie even trying to eat that girl!!!! If she could she would have smacked him a good one!!!. So intent was she on such a dramatic and troubling scene though that the ebony dragon's hatching went mostly out of her mind. It didn't take long before the Ebony started to wander that it caught her attention. Her breathe caught as she hoped that this.. mutation... wouldn't be as vicious or start anything.
His stumble into Ooma made her grimace a little bit, glad that she wasn't on the sands now even though Dragons did seem so wonderful. But he didn't keep hurting her, he just had an accident? She started to relax as much as she could, even someone went to go help the girl. Yes things would be okay, and she could only help with her hope that it was smooth sailing from here...
Lilia just sat there... and stared at the ebony who looked up at her from the sands. More in shock then anything as she tried to wrap her mind around what had just happened. She... was hearing someones... no a dragon's, very hyper fast loud voice... The pain, the worry, everything just seemed to flow from her body to be replaced with a gnawing at her stomache... She was hungry? No she wasn't or at least... It took some neighbors to push her down towards the Ebony to get her feet moving even as her brain just seemed to stop.
I.. I.. I'm sorry? Lilia managed to stutter out tentatively in her mind as she slowly started to lead Nuath towards where the food was to feed him.

Well then! This healer certainly wasn’t doing what he had hoped! The Burning Branch Blue hissed at Linda, trying to urge her over to the injured girl, but it just didn’t seem too be working! The nerve! The dragonet just wanted to find some way to help out, but apparently he would need to find another way to do it! He turned then to Liam, having known all along that the young man would be the one. I am sorry I took so long, L’am, but I couldn’t help but want to help that girl. It is so like the ‘superior’ rank to abuse their size and strength. The girl healer though, seemed to finally realize she needed to go help someone else. The blue seemed to snort in annoyance, before nosing gentle at the wound on Liam’s chest. Your Fironth is terribly hungry, L’amMine, but now that I have come to you we really must get you to the healer… Another crack from the clutch, then another and another. In fact, in one explosion of sound it was not the Golden Scales egg, but the Looking Glass Egg that had shattered. Leaviing in its place a long, long dragon in its wake, though at this point only a set of grey wings could be seen. A grey head poked out from between, cuts bleeding over her eye and neck from the shards of egg around her the wings, but partway down her, yes her, neck, green could be seen. Then all at ocne as if realizing there were eyes on her, the Looking Glass Green shot up, posing for all her lovely fans. Yes, she WAS beautiful wasn’t she! Oh and she certainly needed someone to tell her all about it. Slithering, for the way she moved her body from side to side as she walked gave off the illusion, across the sands, the Looking Glass Green made a beeline for the candidates. Ugh, this one was too vain for her liking, and that one was too quiet! Oh and that one over there was just not pretty enough to be beside her! She roared her discontent at the realization that her human hadn’t even bothered to come to the sands for her! THE NERVE! Slashing at the nearest candidate, the Looking Glass Green quickly made her way to the stands, pushing past a man with a small child before deciding that was the wrong direction as well! Oh but there! THERE she was! Bugling he discontent, the Looking Glass Green bowled past anyone who got in her way, including J’degar and Iro, on her way to her bonded. Assaila you twat! Why in Pern would you make me come ALL the way up here?! You should have been down there waiting for me. This is NOT the way someone as perfect as me should have to hatch! Now, come now, stupid girl of mine, you Gorganoth is hungry and it would simply not do for everyone to know you’re starving me.
Burning Branch Blue Fironth Impressed To: L'am Pronunciation: Fear-on-th Rank: Blue Size: 28.5 Feet (5.7 Feet at Hatching) Color Codes: Base: 03578d Head and Wing Tips: 1c8c93 Spots: 9de3e3, 4279ae, 2a6389 Leg Bands: 273740, 798a94
Appearance:
At first glance, Fironth seems almost more bird-like than dragon-like. His legs are long and spindly, seeming almost too thin to hold him up. His neck is long and droops slightly, ending in a small head with a sharp, beak-shaped snout. Fironth is a bit of a power house. A lot of his muscle seems to be localized to his chest and wings, leaving his back and short tail looking weak and gangly and giving this blue a rather awkward, lopsided appearance. His wings are by far the largest part of this blue. Long, broad and powerful, they almost seem too large for his frame and he will likely trip over them as a hatchling.
Fironth’s hide may remind onlookers of the ocean. His hide is a soft blue colour with random patches of lighter and darker hues, though the shift in colour is barely noticeable. The blue subtly shifts to a sea-green colour on his neck and the front of his wings. Like the crests of waves, his hide is littered with splashes of light, almost white speckles. The light blues and whites are found most prominently on his wing thumbs, tail and face. Around each ankle is a splattering of dark grey and silver lines that might remind one of arm bands or bracelets.
Everything about this blue’s posture screams calm relaxation. He rarely seems to tense, and can usually be found stretched out comfortably in the sun. When he walks or stands, he has an oddly hunched appearance, as if his neck is constantly weighed down. It is not unusual to see this dragon lounging about with his eyes closed or staring up at the sky in thought. When flying, his broad wings and knack for using thermals allows Fironth to remain in the air for quite some time. He almost seems to slice through the air when he flies.
Personality:
Thinker, Believes in Equality, Respectful, Schemer
Intelligent, compassionate, selfless - These are some of the first words that come to mind when thinking of Fironth. He's a quiet blue, not because he is shy or nervous, but because he is too busy thinking to say too much to anyone but His. This dragon believes in brain over brawn, preferring to think things through instead of simply rushing in. Fironth is a guardian of sorts, though he is the type to work from the shadows. A compassionate dragon, he cares about the general well-being of others. He hates seeing others taken advantage of because they don't have the power or ability to fight back.
Fironth is a respectful dragon. He obeys the commands of his superiors and his, usually without question. However, this blue is also a smart dragon and a subtle schemer. If he believes an order or something the superiors are doing will cause harm to others, he will plot and scheme to find some way to help the helpless, usually involving tricking the superiors into bending to his will. He is well aware that acting out against orders will come with consequences, but he is always ready to accept them with calm dignity. If there is one thing to say about Fironth, it is that he is completely unyielding once he has made a decision. Regardless of the pain it may cause him, or the trouble he may get into, he will see something through to the bitter end.
Fironth is friendly fellow, enjoy the warmth that comes with the companionship of others. He is incredibly supportive, especially when it comes to helping his rider. He can be flirty at times, but he tends to be more subtle in his advances, finding ways to make the females happy with his actions more than his words. He loves the act of gift-giving. He can be rather easy-going when it comes to playing, though there is a subtle dignity to his movements and words at all times.
Mind-Voice:
Someone needs to stand up for those who cannot. I’m sure there is something we can do.
Fironth has a warm, comforting voice that almost seems to lull his listeners into a state of ease. His voice tends to crack from time to time, but there is no mistaking the friendliness in his tone.
Inspiration: Prometheus Fironth drew his inspirations from the myths of the Greek hero Prometheus. Known as the Fore-thinker, Prometheus became a hero to the people for going against the will of the gods for the sake of mankind, regardless of the consequences. He is most known for stealing fire from the hearth of the gods and giving it to man, for which he was punished to have his liver eternally eaten by vultures. Fironth’s personality draw’s from Prometheus’ desire to help those who could not help themselves. His hide is based on the flood in the myth and the iron fetters shackled to his wrists, and his build is based on the vultures. His name is a combination of the words Fire and Iron.
Looking Glass Green Gorganoth Impressed To: Assaila Pronunciation: Gore-gen-awth Rank: Green Size: 22 Feet (4.4 Feet at Hatching) Color Codes: Body: 4d881d, 184409 Markings: bacdab Belly: e1e351
Appearance:
Gorganoth is a long lady, but don't assume that she is weak. Though her tail and neck are obscenely long and make up most of her length, every inch of her body is pure, but subtle muscle and her strength is not to be underestimated. Her head knobs are abnormally long and thin, causing them to hang down and bounce when she moved. Her legs are short and close to her body, accenting the sheer length of her form. Her wings as well are short and broad. From a young age, Gorganoth with portray a strange habit of weaving her body back and forth when she moves; from above she will almost seem to move like a snake. There is little doubt she'll have the same weaving habit when she flies.
Her hide is a variety of colours. Her stomach begins with a bright, yellow-green that darkens the farther from her belly you travel until, along her spine and wings, it becomes a deep emerald green. Her spine and the front of her legs are speckled with grey-green and dark green spots. Though her hide is as soft as any other dragon's, there is an almost scaly feeling to the green sections of her hide. She has two sets of scars, one over her left, partially-blind eye and the other along her neck. Both were obtained on her hatching day and will likely never truly disappear.
That texture, much like her colour, changes the farther one goes on her limbs. Her wings, feet and neck change from green to a soft, green-tinged grey colour, darkening as you get farther from the center of her body. In a strange way, it almost looks like the gray is slowly spreading over her body, though it is simply an illusion. The scaly texture of her hide changes into a strange dry, cracked texture, as if her hide is made of stone. No matter how well-oiled she is, that cracked texture will never disappear.
Personality:
Headstrong, Vain, Vocal, 'Flawless in her own eyes', Rash
Gorganoth is a vocal dragoness. She's not one to sit back and avoid the limelight. No, this green is a headstrong lady who believes she should be first in everything, and why not? In her own eyes, she is perfect. Gorganoth is a vain dragon. She tends to live by the motto of 'Anything you can do I can do better' and will not let a chance to prove that pass her by. She's very vocal about her self-confidence as well and will go through great pains to tell those around her how much better she is.
Because she believes herself to be perfect, Gorganoth has a hard time seeing her own flaws. As such, when something goes wrong or she somehow fails, it is always someone else's fault. Gorganoth won't hesitate to even blame her own rider from time to time. After blaming others, she tends to withdraw into herself and can throw quite the temper tantrum.
This green is rather rash. She doesn't take time to think before acting or speaking and as such is not the type to hang back and let others do things first. Friendships may be hard for Gorganoth, but the few friends she does manage to make she will defend with her life.
Mind-Voice
Look at how she flaunts herself. What a fool! As if her hide is better than mine. Why, mine is as green as the grass!
Unlike the greens of her hide, Gorganoth's voice is in no way pretty. A relatively high, feminine voice, it would be rather beautiful if it wasn't for her strange habit of inserting hisses and strange cracking sounds as she speaks.
Other Due to an injury received at her hatching, Gorganoth's left eye can only see shapes and shadows.
Inspiration:
Gorganoth’s inspiration was the story of the Gorgon Medusa, a vain woman who believed herself better than the gods and was turned into a monster as punishment for her foolish boasting. She became a hideous woman with snakes for hair and the ability to turn those who looked at her stone. Nesteith’s personality is based on Medusa before she became a monster. Her appearance is based on a green tree python, with the grey sections symbolizing the belief that she could turn others (and herself) to stone. Her name is based on the term Gorgon.

S'bel grinned as Hanako finally turned, finding him in the stands. Her smile was a bit shaky, but he knew, and Maerath knew, that this was right. S'bel suspected that Hanako still thought they had made a mistake, him Searching her, and her accepting the offer, but the man had no reservations. He was glad he had done it.
Maerath rumbled from behind him. Do not worry, mine. He said, eyes swirling as he continued to hum along with the other dragons. She has what a dragon looks for, that certain spark. Trust me. I am a dragon, and thus, I know. S'bel's grin widened, and he gave R'vin's hand a quick squeeze. "Cheer for Hanako with me, my love."
My love? Where had that come from? R'vin was by no means his... yet. But maybe the man was? They had certainly been spending a lot of time together, and just because he had called the blue rider "my love" didn't mean he had told the man he loved him, though S'bel certainly had feelings for him. He decided he wouldn't worry about it. "Cheer for her with me," he repeated, eyes bright as he watched the girl on the stands.
His heart was filled with emotion... a fatherly affection toward Hanako... romantic inclinations toward R'vin... and of course, his un-dying love for his own dragon. He could recall the day of his own Impression like it was yesterday. There were so many emotions he almost felt like he would explode! In a good way, of course. It had been a very long time since he had been this happy, after all! "Cheer for her with me..."

Nai closed her eyes as the dragon parted its jaws, growing ever angry. She could feel its warm breathe, its gnashing teeth. Somewhere, in the back of her mind, she morbidly wondered whether she'd be the first candidate to ever have been eaten. Either way, she'd done what she believed. She was barely conscious now. Perhaps it wouldn't hurt... at least not to much.
In... Out...
She breathed, waiting for the end. It didn't come. Only pain did. She gave a small cry as the grip tightened. Was this what he meant to do? Torture her, instead of just getting it over with? Just as soon as the grip had tightened, she felt it loosened, and knew what was coming next. With any instinct she could muster, she attempted to brace her fall to the burning hot Sands below.
With a sickening crunch she felt her right arm snap. This time it wasn't a well trained, well contained small shriek. This was a scream. Her visions welled, and all she saw was black. Was she even conscious? She had to be, if she could still feel pain. Shards, she wanted to be unconscious. She lay in the sands, her arm and leg dripping blood, right arm at an odd angle.
After a minute or two, she started to be able to see again, though tears were leaking from her eyes and making it very hard to see. She was vaguely aware of a Healer rushing over to her. 'Oh, thats nice. I guess. At least they don't mean for me to bleed out.' was a delirious thought rushing through her mind.
She thought the Healer might be saying something, and was vaguely aware of being bandaged up. This was good. The adrenaline started to surge again.
"Help me up." she croaked.
She knew the Healer would have a disbelieving look.
"I did what was right. Even if the dragons, and all the Weyr hate me for it. I was protecting lives, not unlike yourself. I stand for what I believe in. And stand I will." Nai shifted her weight slightly, knowing the Healer would fight her. With great effort, and dizzied vision, she attempted to sit up. After a moment, she laid back down, to much in pain to continue with her valiant effort. 'I have to be brave. Strong. Theres a time to retreat, and a time to be bold. I need to stand!' she thought at herself.
She turned her eyes again to the Healer, locking her ice colored irises with the girls. With a perfectly steady, strong voice she said again...
"Help me up."
