Naomi wasn’t sure Korvin had even heard her at first, but then she heard him start to speak, and figured he was just trying to think of what to say. She nodded her head a little at her words, and wondered what she herself would be doing if she had never come to the Weyr. She searched the sky and the stars to see if they held some sort of answer for her, and then she heard Korvin talking again and turned her head to look at him. Her eyes widened in surprise when Korvin leaned into her. This was something she hadn’t been expecting and didn’t exactly know what to do. She sighed softly and wrapped her arms around him. She didn’t know what had happened in his past that made him so sad, and she wanted to ask him about it, but she just couldn’t bring herself to say the words. She bit her lip as she thought about what she could say or do, that would make Korvin feel a little bit better.
