R'vin kissed S'bel's neck and rolled off the bed. Faranth. He was pretty sore now, but that was alright. He smiled back at S'bel. The bronzerider was proving he was a lot more than people thought of him to R'vin. And deserved a lot better than he had been given. "Good morning, handsome." He leaned down and kissed S'bel gently before he stood.
R'vin stretched and scratched the back of his neck as he stood, pulling a shirt on followed shortly after by his pants and boots. He turned toward S'bel with a smile and leaned into him to kiss him gently. "Time to get some breakfast?"
He almost reveled in the idea of heading down to the dining hall with S'bel, not caring who saw them... Though he had to admit, it was hard for him still. He had a hard time dealing with the fact he liked men... or the fact that he was trying something with a bronzerider. A very handsome bronzerider. He had to learn not to care about it. He also had to learn to let go and move on... which wasn't actually as bad as learning to let go of his reservations of being himself. Which, he was determined, he would do. Especially if this could be the kind of relationship he had wanted for so long. He looked at the Bronzerider again and wrapped his arms around his neck giving him a quick kiss before moving around to the door to head down to the dining hall, though he waited for S'bel, not wanting to head down without or ahead of him, though he felt nervous all the same.
He looked at the Bronzerider again with a small smile. He was handsome. And he loved his smile and... he was starting to like S'bel just the way he was. S'bel was a good man. Certainly he had his temper... but everyone did. But that was that... And S'bel was proving just how great a man he was to R'vin...

At the first kiss, S'bel kept his eyes closed. He didn't want to wake up. He had been having a wonderful dream... It had been so nice... he had been with the sweetest Blue rider... His eyes snapped open at the second kiss and the voice that broke through his concentration.
Sitting up rapidly, furs flying everywhere, S'bel jumped out of bed. "R'vin!" He gasped, chest heaving. "You scared me!" The bronze rider returned the third kiss, however, and, attempting to calm himself down, nodded slowly. "Breakfast sounds good," he replied, still nodding. His heart rate had at least slowed down a bit now. Shards! How had he thought all of that was a dream? Whew! R'vin had scared the pants off of him! ...well, maybe not scared... S'bel grinned at the thought.
Tugging on a tunic, the rider ran a hand through his hair. Pants came on next, followed by boots. R'vin gave him another kiss and headed for the door, S'bel on his heels. Truth be told, the bronze rider felt a bit nervous going down to the dining hall with R'vin. It wasn't that he was ashamed of being with another man, but shards! Alyara would kill him. J'dol would kill him. Iirla would kill him. Oh, he was going to be so dead! Deader than dead! He had rejected Alyara for so long because she was a green rider, and if he fell in love with her he wouldn't be doing his duty... now he was with a Blue rider, a rider that didn't even have a female dragon! How was that duty?!
Oh, shards. He was so dead.
R'vin looked at him then with that handsome smile, and S'bel's worries seemed to melt away. Perhaps that was why being with R'vin felt so... right... even if it wasn't dutiful. The man actually made him smile. Made him happy. Didn't play games or sneak around with anybody behind his back (or not yet, anyway). Somehow, S'bel had the feeling that this was going to be the start of something good. No... something wonderful. Taking R'vin's hand, he steeled himself and walked into the dining hall, the blue rider right beside him.

It was a nice average morning, on a nice average day in their nice average Weyr. J’dol had risen earlier than normal and, after tossing and turning unsuccessfully, he finally decided to simply get up and start the day. To keep from waking his Weyrmate, he had even decided to go down to the dining cavern to grab a mug of klah and a quick meal. So it was that J’dol was sitting at the table, munching lazily on a piece of buttered toast, when his favourite bluerider came waltzing into the room hand-in-hand with S’bel and earned a quick wave from the Weyrlord.
J’dol froze, hand in the air and toast dropping unceremoniously to his plate. He needed a moment to rewind his thoughts. Surely he hadn’t just seen the adorable R’vin walk into the room WITH S’bel, hands clasped together as if they were a couple, and if he wasn’t mistaken, their rather messy hair could only mean one thing. Jaw hanging open, his arm slowly lowered back down to the table. His friend was sleeping with that bastard!

R'vin looked concerned as S'bel jumped. But he was soon smiling and R'vin couldn't help but smile a bit brighter. He was such a handsome man. And, well... there was just something special about being able to make someone smile just like that. R'vin and S'bel each had their own reservations, each revolving around different things, and yet both seemed to be brave enough to face it and to do this. What was the point of hiding it? Especially... if they really were to have a chance. R'vin wanted them to... He truly did and he hoped that S'bel wanted the same.
R'vin gave S'bel's hand a squeeze and looked at him with a soft smile, taking some strength from looking at him and walked in beside him, his fingers twined with his bronze riders. R'vin had to wonder... when had he started to think that bit more possessively about the other man?
He spotted J'dol and returned the man's wave rather lazily, still holding onto the bronzerider as they walked into the dining hall. He could feel eyes on them - both women and men. He tried his best to ignore them, but he couldn't help but notice the either shocked or what he perceived as disapproving looks on their faces. Why couldn't they mind their own business.
And then, of course... the reaction he was expecting from J'dol... Complete shock and quite possibly, disapproval. After all, he didn't like S'bel. But that didn't matter. R'vin did. R'vin squeezed S'bel's hand just a bit harder as they came closer to the Weyrlord's table.
He was sure there would be words coming soon. Oh but Faranth... J'dol best not do something to harm his S'bel...

S'bel smiled happily as R'vin's fingers twined with his. It was mildly... terrifying... walking down to the Dining Hall hand in hand with the blue rider, but... oddly satisfactory. After all this time, he finally had someone who loved him for him.
As they entered, however, S'bel's eyes landed on J'dol, who gave R'vin a casual wave and then seemed to stop dead in his proverbial tracks, stunned. S'bel's desire to flee the scene grew stronger, but R'vin squeezed his hand, and he took strength from that.
He would not run. He would not flee. He would stand for what he wanted for once, not what someone else wanted! He had waited too long for this, too damn long, and now he finally had something good going on. He would fight to keep it, even if it meant getting even further on the Weyrlord's bad side.
Obviously J'dol would be angry, and quite possibly Alyara, too. No doubt Iirla would be stunned. Vl'kan would be smug. Others would disaprove, be shocked, perhaps throw insults... but it didn't matter any more. S'bel would take whatever came his way, and he would fight back with every ounce of strength for R'vin. So far the man had given him no reason no to.
...but shards was he going to have a hard time facing J'dol!

Of course he was angry! This was the man who had caused so much trouble way back when. The man who had put ‘duty’ before all else, the man who had told Ara the colour of her dragon mattered. Grimacing, he stood and stepped towards the ‘couple’ as he supposed they were, if the twined hands were any indication. Folding his arms he gave S’bel a disapproving look.
He wanted to tell them it was a terrible idea, tell R’vin that he could do better, but others had said the same thing to him. He had been told plenty of times that he shouldn’t go after his weyrlingmaster and… well obviously he hadn’t paid those warnings any heed. These two would be no different. If they wanted to be together, J’dol had no place telling them otherwise. That said, he wasn’t just planning on letting them go about their merry way just yet.
“S’bel… You do to him what you did to Ara and I will hunt you down and personally castrate you.” His glare softened as he looked at R’vin thought. “Treat him right, he deserves it. That said..” and now he broke into an outright teasing grin at the bluerider, “You look hot with bed-head.”
