Name:
K'dri
(Keladri Pre-Impression)
Pronunciation:
KUH-DREE
Age:
Thirty-Five Turns
Season Born In:
Spring
Gender:
Male
Sexuality:
Bisexual
Appearance:
The first thing anyone would notice about K'dri would be his very intense gaze. Bright, navy blue eyes stare out from beneath low eyebrows, giving him the appearance of always being intent and concentrated, even angry on occasion. What makes his eyes so piercing is his blond hair.
His light eyes seem to offset his light hair, which lends an off-looking, albeit intense appearance. Kept short, K'dri likes to keep his hair out of his eyes, and rarely lets it get long. He also tends to stay clean-shaven.
Standing at six feet even, the blue rider cuts a powerful figure. His body is muscular, rather than just toned, from turns of working with dragons and other beasts.
Square-jawed, K'dri looks semi-intimidating by his gaze and figure alone. Scars dot his body as well, giving him a dangerous look that is well deserved… he is a dangerous man. From an accident turns ago, the rider has a permanent limp, though is still one hundred percent able to perform his duties. While not the most handsome of men, K'dri is in good shape for a man of his age.
Personality:
Lazy
To say K’dri is lazy would be an understatement. If he doesn't want to do something, he simply... doesn't. He has a very good knack at disappearing when there is work to do, and would much rather laze and gad about doing something fun than anything productive. The only work he might possibly be able to be coerced into is anything to do with fighting, for the man loves to fight, hence his affiliation with the Rebellion, even though his dragon is not a ‘mutant.’
Determined[/i]
While K’dri is lazy, he's also incredibly determined. If he wants something, he won't give up until he either achieves whatever his goal is, or he dies in the attempt. Thankfully, his death hasn't occurred yet, but quite a few bones have been broken, and he's gotten many whacks on the head from the cooks from his trying to steal food from the kitchens. He's also gotten some good bruises and scrapes from his adventures-- or rather, misadventures.
Scattered[/i]
Disorganization is key to K'dri. His quarters are always messy, just as he is. His thoughts are often scattered, and he tends to jump from one thing to the next without a second thought, leaving lots of unfinished projects (only the important projects are the ones he either completes or dies trying for). To find the Bluerider, one usually only has to follow the wake of chaos he leaves behind him.
Involved[/i]
The Bluerider is typically in the middle of everything. While he doesn't like to work (or more specifically, being ordered to work), he is often found helping the cooks, helping the drudges, exploring abandoned caverns, sticking his nose where it doesn't belong and just generally being everywhere and nowhere at once.
Self-Reliant[/i]
K'dri has come to depend on himself more than on others, as may be expected. He'll sew his own clothes and fix his own food rather than waiting on others to do it for him. Of course, this might be born of impatience, but then again, it's a trait that defines him, as his shirts are always patched (rather poorly, as he doesn't sew very well) and his boots usually thread-bare.
Independent[/i]
This man is independent to a fault. He knows what he wants and he's going to take it. Unfortunately, this creates a problem with authority as well, as the male doesn't take kindly to being ordered around. However, it also makes him fiercely determined to gain what he aspires to.
Brash[/i]
K'dri is also rather course. His previous life had no rules and regulations, so table manners and politeness aren't exactly his forte. He can be rather rude at times, but prefers this kind of brutal honesty to a lie.
Harsh[/i]
The Bluerider never learned to soften his words. If he has something to say, he’s going to say it, whether it hurts someone’s feelings or not. He’s also rather cruel, and has a fierce blood-lust that never faded away with his coming to the Weyr and Impressing a dragon (that is, Myth).
Hostile[/i]
Unfortunately, K'dri does not make friends easily. He has a natural distrust of people, and takes it out on them. He's been beaten down in the past, but he's no longer going to stand for that. His temper is quick to ignite, and he lashes out at many people that are only trying to help him.
Selfless[/i]
While it seems that he may be a selfish person, the exact opposite is true. If someone were in real need, the man would be the first to give up everything he had to help, down to the very clothes on his back. He's giving when it really counts, even if he is harsh, cold, and distant 99% of the time.

History:
Keladri was born a commoner to parents Kelmar and Bree, who lived in a small hold near Southern Weyr. However, Keladri grew up in a fairly unstable environment, for Kelmar frequently beat his children, Keladri, Bryson, Kelera, and Briala, and his wife. As the oldest child, Keladri saw it as his job to protect his mother and siblings by fighting his father.
When Keladri was twenty turns old and Briala seven, Keladri and his father got into a particularly nasty fight over Kelmar beating Briala. In the end, Keladri murdered his father. His mother, Bree, tried to kill him in revenge, so he murdered his mother, too. He had always known he would be forced to kill his father, but the murder of his mother was in self-defense. He had always tried his hardest to protect her, and when she attacked him in revenge, Keladri avoided her attack, only to have her impale herself on her own knife. His siblings were horrified, and so Keladri fled.
He wandered for a year before finding himself at Southern Weyr, where he was, most surprisingly, searched. He stood before a Gold’s Clutch and Impressed to Blue Myth, a rather level-headed and kind dragon, much to K’dri’s irritation. After all, he was a fighter! A killer! And his dragon was… nice. It just didn’t make sense! Somehow or another, however, the two ran nicely together, each balancing the other out.
They progressed through Weyrlinghood with painful slowness, as they were held back due to fighting between themselves and other Weyrlings. Finally, when K’dri was twenty-three and Myth two, they graduated to full Wingriders. Many fights marked the years of K’dri’s stay at Southern, and he was transferred to Fort, and then from Fort to Benden, and then back to Southern.
But then… Rumors had reached Southern of a Rebellion brewing around Trelis Weyr, and strange mutated dragons…
While K’dri is perfectly happy with his normal, non-mutated Blue, he eagerly joined up with the Rebellion, hoping to have a chance to once again fight… and kill. He doesn’t really believe in the Rebellion’s cause at all, he just wants to battle, which Myth finds absolutely abhorrent. However, the Blue does enjoy fighting in Threadfall, so K’dri hopes his dragon might soon adapt to fighting other dragons and become good at it.
Dragon
Name:
Myth
Pronunciation:
MITH
Age:
14 Turns
Type:
Dragon
Rank:
Blue
Size:
Thirty Feet
Color Codes:
Base: 000033
Markings: 00C5CD
Appearance:
Myth is a dark, dark midnight blue with a lighter turquoise shade of blue acting as markings across his hide. Lithe, he is limber and willowy as opposed to being overly muscular, though he is on the larger size for a Blue. With long, delicate wings, his flight is graceful, but with his wings being so large they tend to look a big odd when Myth is on the ground.
The dragon's markings are varied. With his dark blue base, he has turquoise stripes along his back, and his forelegs are entirely turquoise, along with his face, which lends him a tribal, mask-like appearance.
Personality:
Caring
Myth is a very caring dragon. While all dragons care for their riders, Myth frequently bombards K'dri with questions of other people as well, typically those in Holds, that he cannot simply ask a dragon to check on for him. Myth always puts others, and will insist on other dragons having numbweed to soothe their wounds before he will let any be applied to him, unless the score or injury is particularly painful.
Calm
Quite unlike his rider, Myth has little to no angry in him, as is characteristic of blues. His easy-going nature is often mistaken for laziness. However, Myth is anything but lazy. Like his rider, however, Myth enjoys a good game, and will frequently fly with K'dri for no other reason than sheer playfulness and the joy in being together.
Flexible
As is also characteristic of Blue dragons, Myth has the innate ability to both lead and follow.... and is usually executed in relation to K'dri. Mostly, Myth listens to his rider, but sometimes he puts his foot down and stops K'dri from getting too out of hand.
Hard-Headed
While Myth may be able to fluctuate between a leader and a follower, once the dragon makes up his mind, there is no swaying him. Determined to obtain what it is he wants, Myth will defend his beliefs (and his rider's) until the very last breath leaves his body. Naturally, he defends K'dri at every opportunity. Once decided, this dragon isn't going to change his mind.
Mind-Voice (If applicable):
I really don't know why you insist on this, K'driMine. It really isquite foolish!
Myth's voice typically sounds bored. Not overly deep, but not in the higher pitch-range of a female, the Blue's voice is located in the mid-range of vocals. He generally has an exasperated tone with his rider, and seems more genuinely interested when others speak with him.[/center]
