Iirla sat on the beach, staring out at the water with a soft smile. She still remembered the night. It had been one of the best of her life - certainly the most freeing... but also one of the most painful. She still remembered that time which had taken her from a Bronze rider named S'bel to a bronze rider named D'rian... and finally... finally into the arms of Vl'kan, formerly of Ista and rider of Garnet Thormyth.
Izanycorth, when such memories were thought of often would snort or become irritated that Hers had even been so flighty. It was ridiculous. And unbecoming of a queen. Especially a queen rider.
"Well, Iz. It's not that way anymore." She said with a soft smile. She had given Vl'kan her heart four turns ago and she had no intentions of changing that. He was a good man. A very strong man and she was determined he would be a wonderful leader. And... Quite possibly the precise kind of leader they needed right now. Or so she believed... but he didn't seem to agree.
She supposed he was right. Izanycorth would choose in the end. She sighed. And Izanycorth was certainly moody to say the least.
She gently put a hand on her stomach again, thinking of the young life that grew there... Fathered by her Vl'kan. Her Istan Garnet Rider that supposedly no one would trust. But she knew that people would. Whatever he thought... he already was showing good leadership qualities.
She closed her eyes for a moment and sighed, looking back to the paperwork she held in front of her. More and more numbers. More and more planning. She preferred to come down here or go elsewhere to work... Or just to not work when there was time... Which she usually had to make. She was glad that Izanycorth didn't mind being her windbreak for the moment... Especially since there was a strong breeze. The gold slightly spread one wing, providing her rider with some shade. "Thank you..." Iirla told her gold with a smile.
Hopefully no one was looking for her...
