The Beginning Or End? {Zi/Korvin}

“Yer memory must be failin’ ya girl. Y’were th’one t’hit my head earlier.” He grumbled back, ignoring her teasing. He wasn’t blushing! Real men didn’t blush! Instead he just narrowed his eyes and stared back at her as she smirked, determined to ignore the heat in his cheeks. That heat though, became impossible to ignore as Naomi leaned down and kissed him. Sharding woman just couldn’t leave well enough alone could she?! And now she was backing away. Did she regret it? Was she trying to get rid of him now?

With a growl, Korvin sat up, grabbed her by the shoulder and pushed her back down, reclaiming her lips without a second thought. He could regret it later, and knew he would, but for the time being he was determined not to let her think she had gotten the upper hand on him. In the back of his mind, he felt disapproval from Korvisk and gleeful amusement from Kosk as he gave in to his desire. Sharding whers needed to stay out of his business.

Naomi turned her head slightly towards Korvin when she heard him growl, but then gasped with surprise when he sat up, grabbed her by the shoulders, pushed her back onto the bed, and then reclaimed her lips. She didn’t fight it, and despite what Korvin might think, she wouldn’t regret it, not now, not later, not ever. She cautiously wrapped her arms around his neck and started to kiss him back. She could hear her heart beating fast in her ears, but she just ignored it. Right now all that mattered to her was the man she was kissing. She felt Nask at the back of her mind. He was happy, but slightly confused. Whereas Naosk was just ignored everything that was going on, if her handler needed her she would be there, but for now she was content to just relax, and even drift off into sleep.

He should have done this long ago; he knew it, had known it for a long time. It was fear that had held him back, fear that something bad would happen. Yet, as he pressed into the kiss, he couldn’t help but remember the dreams he’d had as a younger man, before his world had been turned around. He remembered the dream of having a family, surrounded by friends and canines, working to help the rest of his camp survive.

“Terrible idea…” He mumbled in between kisses, “People near me get hurt y’know…” Even so, a hand moved to tangle in her hair as he pressed into the kiss, his heart beating loudly in his ears. It didn’t matter that she was difficult to deal with; he liked that about her, and for now he could ignore her breakdown. He just wanted give in to her.

Naomi couldn’t believe this was happening, he wasn’t freaking out and running away as he had done before. Instead he was pressing into the kiss, something she hadn’t thought he wouldn’t ever have even considered. She was over joyed at this strange turn of events and wondered if she were actually dreaming. But then Korvin spoke, and she knew that it was real. I’m stronger...than you...think. I don’t...care. She spoke between kisses, and the pounding in her ears seemed to get louder. She wrapped her arms tighter around Korvin’s neck, ignoring everything but the man she loved. She had dreamed about this for so long, she just couldn’t believe it was just happening. She felt tears of joy fighting to break free, but did her best to hold them back and not let them ruin the moment. I love you Korvin. Her voice was a whispered moan.

“Y’better be,” He hissed, honestly hoping she was telling the truth. Of course, his parents and siblings had been strong too, and now they were gone. The thought caused him to hesitate, drawing away as memories of his home flashed through his mind. He couldn’t dwell on it for long, as soon Naomi was moaning in his ear and the last thing Korvin wanted to do was think about the past. “You too,” he barely whispered as he rolled them over, his hands tugging at the edge of her shirt.

If she thought he would stop now she had another thing coming. He would worry in the morning, but for now he couldn’t bring himself to run away, not when she was being so adorable.

Even though he hadn’t said the actual words, Naomi felt her heart soar at Korvin’s words, not that she had much time to think about it. Soon enough Korvin was rolling them over, his hands tugging at the edge of her shirt. He hadn’t stopped like she had thought he would have, instead he was turning up the heat, so to say. Maybe she shouldn’t have worried about how he would react and should have just admitted her feelings a long time ago. It might have saved each of them a lot of pain, headaches, and frustrations. Oh well, the past is the past and Naomi was more than happy to live in the present.
