Appearance Aela stands at 5'1 and weighs 130 lbs. Her hair is a deep auburn, almost brown, color with tight curls in it. On hot days her hair is pulled back so she can try to keep cool, but the rest of the time its down and carefree. Her skin is sunkissed from a lot of time in the sun. Every muscle in her body is hardened from a lot of use growing up.
Aela's clothes are always comfortable. She wears whites and light browns and leather shoes. When its cold she wears the proper clothing and furs. The only time she wears dresses or other party clothes is when there are some kind of festivities like Graduations for Weyrlings and Wherlings. Her dresses consist of colors such as dark blues, dark greens, and even some light colors such as pinks and purples.
On really hot days she wears light clothes that help her keep cool. The material is very light (like cotten). She makes sure its soft, but comfortable. When the event arises she wears the proper swimwear into the water and tries to swim (she fails miserably). On occassion she likes to change her hair color from auburn to either black, brown, or red. The yellow colored hair never really suited her.
Personality Aela is a smart and caring girl. She has always been interested in helping others and was never afraid to speak her mind when she wanted to point out a mistake. Aela thought it was better to be hit for speaking one's mind then not speaking it at all. Aela learned from a young age that if one didn't speak their mind about anything then they wouldn't have the courage to stand up for themselves.
Death is not something that Aela takes well. However, she will do what she can to make sure that families get to say good-bye to their loved ones if they don't make it. Aela doesn't like to see families not being together in the final moments of the dying family member. Though she knows if the moment is sudden then there is nothing to be done about it.
Aela doesn't like bullies or anyone who harms those weaker than themselves don't deserve anything. Aela tries to protect those who hadn't been taught to stand up for themselves. If anything she will do what she can to get them to come out of their shells so to speak. Another thing that she doesn't like besides bullies is disorganization. Aela tries her best to keep herself organized most of the time, but sometimes she fails and can't find anything. Being disorganized causes her to be frustrated and she doesn't like being frustrated.
One thing that Aela is very frightened of is drowning. Since she was little she has just been naturally afraid of water... well not when it comes to bathing or drinking, but the kind where you have to actually swim. Aela has tried hard to get over her fear, but she has yet to be successful. She hopes that she will have the help she needs and finally enjoy swimming like normal people.

History Aela was born to Brownrider T'lessen and drudge Ataliah at Point Hold. Her sister was born in the spring 2 Turns before she was. When Aela came along the family was happy. They had two healthy daughters and cared deeply for them. T'lessen wanted one of his daughters to follow in his footsteps, but he didn't want to push them. Aela and Lesstaliah always fought as to who would follow their father. Both girls had been sent to the Halls when they were 13 Turns old for training.
Right away Lesstaliah was into Harpering and when it was Aela's turn, Healing. The girls learned everything they could and more. Aela studied hard and healed when healing needed to be done. Aela and her sister watched as other apprentices were Searched. The girls made a pact that they would not stay jealous (if they were) at the other if they were Searched.
Less than a Turn after Aela arrived at the Halls did she acquire a Firelizard. The girl went to a Firelizard Hatching with a bowl of meatrolls and tempted each baby that was born. It wasn't until the end that she bonded with a Blue Firelizard. She then named him Crest.
2 Turns after Aela was at the Halls another band of Searchriders came. The Searchriders listened to their Dragons and then listed the likely Candidates for any upcoming Hatchings whether they were Whers or Dragons. Aela had been busy putting a salve together when her master came to get her. On the way she saw her sister too had been summoned. When the pair reached the Dragonriders they saw a lot of the other apprentices there. The Dragonriders went through and pointed to the Searched ones. Then a Greenrider came to Aela and Lesstaliah. Aela waited with baited breath and then the rider pointed to... her! Aela had been Searched! With excitement she climbed onto the back of the Greenrider's Dragon.
The band of Searchriders disappeared Between and reappeared at Trelis Weyr. Aela was excited to have been Searched and she couldn't wait to start her new life. Aela wanted to help Heal others until she was chosen by a Dragon.... if at all. Aela vowed that she would be a Dragonhealer if she did not Impress. She wanted to help heal the people at Trelis Weyr no matter what happened.
Not long after Aela arrived at the Weyr did the Hatching begin. It was Loraketh's second Clutch and boy was she in for a surprise. She saw a Topaz, Kayath, who Impressed to J'dol. Aela thought that the Topaz was rather cute, but then her friend was bullied and she stood up to him and that was when SHE appeared. Talath had watched Aela stand up for her friend, R'hard, and that was what was needed for Talath to choose Aela. Aela had stood up to a bully in the middle of the Hatching and Talath's strong sense of justice poured through and they were Impressed. After that they began their lessons together as Weyrlings along with the bully who made fun of R'hard, who had Impressed to the Brown that caused the bullying in the first place, and the boy who did the bullying. The boy went from Derek to D'rek because he had Impressed to the first Garnet Dragon of Loraketh's children.
That all changed when Loraketh was hit by Thread and Betweened. Things went well for a time and then Aela started noticing things. Ar'rex and S'vrin were controlling Trelis and Aela didn't like it. She had always gotten along with most of the residents at the Weyr, but the new leadership it was under wasn't enough to keep her at the Weyr. Talath and the other mutated colors were being the targets more and more often. A band of Dragonriders broke away who was for the new colors when they found out about the rebellion. A Turn passed and Talath rose and was caught by a Bronze. Aela soon noticed the looks she and Talath were receiving and she was becoming very uncomfortable.
Finally, Aela had had enough of all the stares and whispers that followed her around so she spoke with Talath and knew that the Obsidian had noticed it too. The pair decided they would leave the Weyr that had been their home for several Turns. They gathered what they could that belonged to them and left. Crest was very excited by the move, but Spots was not. Soon the canine settled down and they left the Weyr and went to the Rebellion camp where they offered their loyalty and service to those there. She saw several familiar faces and hoped they would speak good of her.
Once there though they were distrusted by the rebellion side due to the fact that she had come from Trelis. Aela heard that another Obsidianrider, Eiko, would be the next Weyrwoman. Aela wasn't too pleased by it, but she understood the reasoning behind the choice.

Appearance Talath stands at 44 ft and is very fierce-some to behold. Her markings are the EXACT same as Kayath's, but the coloring is different. She has a light gray body with dark gray, almost black, wings. Her neck has three medium purple stripes as well as her legs and tail. The under side of her body is the same color as her wings. Talath is a very dangerous creature and not to be messed with.
Personality Talath is a quiet Dragon. She observes more than she speaks, but when she has something to say she will speak. Talath cares deeply for her lifemate and she is glad to be with her no matter where she is at. This Obsidian female is also VERY intelligent. She likes to plan things ahead and make sure Hers gets where she is going. Mutated color or not Talath is not one to let an infant or child get hurt. Its a young life just starting out and she will safe it if necessary.
Talath is sensible and doesn't get into fights and she helps hers to be a better person as well. Talath feels like she "trained" her rider well. They very nearly think as one and they are a great team. This Obsidian has a VERY high sense of justice. When someone stands up for their friends Talath is proud, if they stand up to bullies she is proud, if they take charge of something or help others then she is proud. Talath loves life and loves when people do the right thing. It makes the world a much better place.

Personality/Appearance Crest is a small Blue compared to his brothers. He was the smallest of his Clutch (besides his Green Clutchsisters). Thanks to his small size he is extremely agile and quick. His muscles are supple and help him manouver better in the air and into tight spots. Crest got his name for his Blue hide and how it has a slight whiteish hue to it as if he was part of a wave crest.
His wings are slightly bigger than his body. They help keep him in the air and are very strong. Crest's wings are very strong because of all the flying and racing he has done. On his left wing he has a small scar from where he accidentally got caught on his claw in his excitement to get to Aela. The tear healed, but left a scar in its place.
Crest is smart and protective. He cares deeply for his bonded and he will do anything to please her. Crest doesn't do anything without thinking it through first. If he knows that the end result is bad then he doesn't do the action. The only exception to the "not thinking it through first" rule is if his is in harm's way. Crest will defend her with his life. This smart Blue also considers himself handsome despite what his bonded thinks.
Crest is adorable and loveable. He will like anyone who offers him food, but he doesn't give his trust blindly. He takes after Aela in the aspect. He takes time to completely trust someone and liking them for the food they give him doesn't count as trusting. Crest actually sometimes thinks its suspicious and sometimes he hisses without meaning to. This little Blue is full of different emotions, but the strong ones lie around his bonded and how he will care for her.

But that doesn't matter, because he'll be big and strong one day, won't he? Not really, he will remain on the small side all of his life, and no amount of food will get rid of the thin, lanky look he has. To make him look even more malnourished, he has incredibly long legs for his size.
Spots is an angsty dog. Because of his size he doesn't really like the world and it makes him very moody. Besides Aela, Talath, and Crest he feels under-appreciated and hateful. When he does something he is unsure if he should do it or not due to his size and how others see him. Even though he is a canine he is very emotional. And when he does things most of the time he does them for himself and is considered selfish, but thanks to Aela he has come out of his shell a bit and started to accept others with a bit of happiness.
