Name Sevrin Pronunciation Sev-rin *sort of like seven*
Age 31 turns {+1 since making} Season Born in Spring
Gender Male Sexuality Bisexual
Appearance
Pb-Hugh Jackman
The one sure thing about Sevrin, is his appearance. He doesn't look happy, and he doesn't even seem like he could have ever been. Everything about him is menacing from his larger, muscular body, to his dark hair and eyes. Some say his eyes are as black as between itself, others that they are simply that way because of the grief he holds. Those that knew him before Sehille's death say that they used to be lighter, happier. They say he himself was better.
Now though he often either has his long brown hair left down to his shoulders or tied up in a pony-tail. His eyes are harsh and calculating. His height, an even 6ft 2in, towers over some of the smaller riders in both length and sheer confidence. It's a loud sort of confidence, not through voice but through the way he walks and holds himself. He knows that he pulls the strings, and he gladly will prove it to anyone who thinks differently.
The fact that he wears dark clothes doesn't help with his appearance either. By dark, it almost always means black. Somehow people have thought of it as a menacing thing, but if one really knew him they would understand it is far from that. Ever since his sister died, Sevrin has worn dark or muted colors in his mourning for her. He also wears a necklace, delicate for such a man, of a green dragon that was also hers.
Personality
"Wasn't there one point where he wasn't like this?"
Yes, Sevrin was not always the tense and harsh man he is today. In fact, he used to be fair and just as a leader in whatever group he was with. He would stand up for what was truly right, and he would protect those close to him with a fierce loyalty. Among these that he protected the most were his younger sister Sehille, and Panille who he once thought of as a sister though it grew to become more.
"So, why is he like he is now?"
It's easy really, it all comes down to Sehille's death. Since, Sevrin has become unstable to be honest, and protectiveness quickly turned into aggression. The more he thought about why his sister was not alive, the more he garnered the hatred for the Obsidian that took her life. When there was news of others like her as well as more, S'vrin snapped. It was no longer about protecting the world from one mutation, it was about purifying all of Pern of these "monsters."
Unstable would put it in simple terms since the man is both depressed as well as hell-bent on getting his revenge. He no longer has a sense of justice or right and wrong, he only understands what he wants to. Actually considering what Sehille would have wanted is the only way one can get him to calm down, and even then there are some that try to trick him into misremembering what she was like in order to further their own plots.
All in all, Sevrin has become so focused on getting his revenge that nothing will stop him, and it has become increasingly easy for others to manipulate him in his mindless aggression and unhappiness.
Family (if any) Either unknown or deceased. Sehille would have been 22 now.
Location Ista Weyr-Trelis Weyr Rank Weyrfolk
History
Born into Ista Weyr, Sevrin never knew his parents. He knew of them, but that isn't the same thing really, and everyone knows that. He did however know of a younger sister he had, or half-sister to be exact. She was his only lifeline for a long time until he met Panille and Tikrin, and then the four quickly became their own "family."
When he was 13, Sevrin started to stand for the clutches at Ista Weyr until in his second year, he finally impressed to a Bronze named Coziryth. It became clear even then that the dragon would be a handful, but Sevrin easily dealt with him. After all, this was all before Sahille died.
At age 20, Sevrin was able to rise to the position of Wingleader, and he quickly placed the newly graduated Panille in with his riders. The group formed a close bond, closer even than some of the other Wings. Some say now that perhaps Sevrin was planning something, but back then no one had even known that the mutations would come about. No one knew that Sehille would soon die and that Sevrin throw Pern into chaos.
When the first Obsidian did hatch though, it was Sehille's first clutch to stand for as well. Sevrin was as proud as a brother could be, but then in the strange new hatchling's confusion, she injured herself. Naturally, the kind hearted Sehille tried to help, and upset the Obsidian lashed out at her. The girl didn't last through the night, and it was at that moment that Sevrin vowed to never let the Obsidian taint the rest of Pern.
If it were a normal hatchling perhaps he would not have had so much trouble with her death. However, because it was it was an easy thing to use as a scape-goat, and in his instability, Sevrin formed the perfect storm within his mind. Scared that the rest of Pern would take to the new dragonet as badly as Sevrin and his wing had, as well as some others at Ista, the riders kept the Obsidian a secret, even going as far as to say she betweened not long after hatching and then hiding her away on a small island.
When Sevrin heard that Trelis had hatched not only another Obsidian, but other new colors as well, it was as if all the ghosts of his past came back to haunt him. He quickly formulated a plan, enticing those in his Wing that he knew would support him to cause trouble. First was the gather that they flamed, and then was the kidnapping. The last thing he thought would happen was Panille betraying him, but she did and when he was forced to leave, the greenrider stayed behind.
After Ar'rex failed in his plans as well, the two riders happened upon each other, quickly forming a bond in their hatred of Trelis and its prized mutations. They started to recruit other riders like them, ones that were unhappy with the mutations that were popping up like wildflowers around Pern. They even recruited candidates and holdsfolk for their purpose. It was simply dumb luck that Loraketh died leaving the Weyr in unstable and inexperienced hands. Losses quickly followed as the riders tried to get over the loss of the WeyrQueen, and Sevrin and Ar'rex started to gain friends within Trelis.
After a few months, they transferred there, being "thrown out" by a Weyr that actually supported their cause. The Weyr was already on the verge of splitting, and when the two riders finally came in with their supporters, it officially tore into two factions. It was here that The Rebellion started to really get on Sevrin's nerves, training the riders still for the mutations under his nose. Unable to tell how or where though, Sevrin waited until one of his spies were able to give him news. Finally, Tikrin came forth with information about an attack the rebels were planning. The bronzerider and his followers counterattacked, and won leaving the rebels to run away with their tails between their legs.
It was only a few months later that Izanycorth finally rose, and Coziryth naturally chased. It was the last time that Sevrin would ever see his lifemate for he was injured and fell to his death. Instead of the normal depressed state that most dragonless men and women came into though, Sevrin felt freed from the anger he had been holding. No doubt there is still upset feelings and harsh reminders, but at least he can think clearly.
He soon became close, to of all people, Iirla as well as a trader name Simaii. Between the two and Tikrin, he started to get better, and even J'dol was thrown into the mix. It was in the Spring that two firelizard eggs hatched, one being a Topaz he named Kaya, the other....
Fire Storm Topaz- Kaya
Personality: Demanding, powerful, a queen in her own right, does not easily accept authority, will be a handful, prideful, vain, determined, wants everything her way, will reorganize and move things around, does not like to have things loose in any area, obsessed with shiny things.
Dragon Name Coziryth Pronunciation Cause-ear-wreath Age 16 turns Type Dragon Rank Bronze Size 40ft Color Codes Body- 603311Underside and wings- Lighter, golden bronze. AppearanceCoziryth is not your average bronze in color, he's dark, almost brown except for his markings. Many have confused him for a Sub-King even from a distance in certain lighting, it just depends on if one is able to see the metallic shine to his hide or not. The only light part of his body is on his underside and his wings where a molten golden, bronze color spreads over his hide. In body-type, Coziryth is not a huge King, he's about average if maybe on the smaller side. What he makes up in bulk though, for he even isn't as muscular as some bronzes, he makes up in agility. Which, is rare for Kings after all. His body is stream-lined and almost so thin he looks sickly. It does tend to give him a severe, angled look though. His wings are the perfect size for his body length, however his tail is longer than it should be which sometimes gets in his way. PersonalityCoziryth is loyal...to himself. He doesn't listen to anyone else except His either, and even if S'vrin tries to get the bronze to do something he doesn't want to, it takes a while to convince him. He's headstrong in that way, as well as every other way that one can be headstrong. To top that off, the King acts just like that, a King. He believes everything should be his and that everyone should pay attention to him. The only living thing other than himself that he pays attention to is his rider. In some ways, Coziryth simply dotes on S'vrin, doing almost anything the man asks unless it conflicts with the bronze's own desires. For instance the King chases whoever he pleases, it doesn't matter what his rider thinks. He is incredibly aggressive to other males though, loving to throw his weight around as a King. Coziryth also as stated thinks highly of himself, and he seldom talks to the "lower colors" unless he must. He generally makes some Brown or Garnet do it for him instead. As for females, they're good for chasing and occasionally fighting thread. Unless it is Iliath, who like his rider he seems to have an obsession with, the bronze always looks down on females thinking they are not good for much. This even extends to Golds and Sub-Queens who he considers are only good for laying eggs. Mind-voice (If applicable) This is pointless Mine! Let's just get it over with.- Deep in tone
- Tends to growl a lot
- Rich in texture as well
