Appearance
A bit of a tom-boy, Nadia can usually be found looked rather dirty and unkempt. Her hair is cut shorter than most women's, because, as she constantly tells her brother, "It gets in my way!" Her complexion is fair and slim, and while it would be natural for her dark hair against her fair skin make her seem pallid and stringy, it does not, but rather accentuates the difference between them. Frequently in the sun, Nadia's face is sprinkled with freckles, which accentuate her hazel eyes.
Personality
≈TOMBOY≈
Nadia is, to say the least, a tomboy. She hates hearing that a boy can do it and a girl can't, because shard it, she's just as good at most things as any boy! She has her hair cut rather short, and frequently gets into fights and arguments that she prefers to settle with her fists rather than words.
≈FIERCE≈
This girl is a force to be reckoned with. When she sets her mind on something, she'll do anything to get it, and becomes positively fearsome and can be downright mean, almost like a Queen dragon guarding her eggs, as Lonanth has said on multiple occasions, which only serves to make her even angrier.
≈STUBBORN≈
Nadia hardly ever gives in. Even if she's wrong (and Lonanth is the first to tell her if she is), she refuses to admit it, and becomes temporarily deaf to whomever is trying to tell her she is incorrect. She is bullheaded to a t and absolutely refuses to give in to any sort of argument.
≈CHEERFUL≈
Despite being stubborn and occasionally fearsome, Nadia is a rather cheerful person. She likes making friends, and is generally happy with her life as a Dragonrider. She's especially glad she Impressed to a fighting dragon and not "some stupid Queen that can't even flame."
≈ENTHUSIASTIC≈
Nadia tries to be in the middle of everything. She loves helping in the kitchens, or with the Weyrlings, or even just helping the drudges sweep. She's almost overly enthusiastic, and unfortunately, is rather clumsy and has the tendency to knock things over.

History
Fathered by A'tel, a Harper and dragonrider, and a woman he slept with randomly one night, Nadia and her brother Aidan were, to say the least, an unwanted burden. Her father stuck around long enough to dump her at Half-Circle Sea Hold, where she grew up wild among the other Sea Hold children. She was fiery and fierce, and grew up getting into fights with boys and running races on the sand while her brother sat on the cliffs and read a book.
For being twins and growing up in the same environment, Aidan and Nadia turned out very differently. Aidan was always at his books, dreaming up schemes of how to get away from Half-Circle Sea Hold, while Nadia was actually trying them.
From a young age, she was fascinated with dragons. Her brother, Aidan, liked them too, and this was their one common feature: they both desired to be Dragonriders. At the age of eighteen, Nadia excitedly pointed out a large Brown that was flying over the hold. She, Aidan, and many of the other young of the Sea Hold formed somewhat of a crowd when the Brown landed, his rider seeking to speak with the Half-Circle Sea Holder.
Many of the young stepped back, afraid of the huge beast, but Nadia stepped forward, dragging Aidan with her, taking a huge risk. She wanted to speak to that Dragonrider! "Excuse me, sir." She said politely, dipping her head. "I heard you had to be Searched to become a Dragon Candidate, but no one ever explained how exactly that worked." She seemed positively irate that no one in the Sea Hold knew. "Will you tell me?"
Adan tugged at her arm, hissing vehemently that he was going to beat her senseless for dragging him into this. Nadia laughed. "Don't be silly, Aidan. You know I can beat you in a fight. Besides, you want to be a Dragonrider, too!"
The Brownrider looked down at Nadia (she was rather short) and her brother, then up to his Brown. He turned back to the twins with a smile. "I'll do better than tell you how a Search works... I'll show you!" After the rider had spoken to the Sea Holder, and Nadia and Aidan had packed their meager belongings, they were off to Benden Weyr as Dragon Candidates. Nadia and Aidan were positively beaming.
After a fortnight of staying at the Weyr, and the twins' nineteenth birthday, a Gold Hatching occurred. Naturally, the twins attended, both hoping fervently to Impress. Nadia wanted a Brown, like the one that had searched her, and was irate that she was told that "women should only Impress Gold and Green." Furious, she stood on the sands angrily, arms crossed.
It was not only she, but the whole Weyr, that was shocked when a little black dragonet hatched. Benden had heard tales of these mutations from another Weyr-- Trelis --and had even seen them... but they were still rather shocking. Nadia was trying to coax a Brown closer to her when the little Ebony bumped his head into her hand. NadiaMine. Lonanth will help you achieve your dreams.
She looked around, and saw that Aidan had not Impressed yet. There were still many more eggs, though... "He's got to Impress..." she whispered to Lonanth. "He's got to!" The little Ebony stayed silent. Egg after egg cracked, until finally only three dragons were on the Sands: a Bronze, a Blue, and a tiny little White that was mewling piteously. Nadia was shocked when she heard someone from the stands mention putting the White down, it looked so weak. Evidently so did Aidan, for he stepped forward to help the White, and Impression was made.
The Twins stepped off of the Sands together to feed their dragons, respectively Lonanth and Alburath.
They progressed through Weyrlinghood well, and were assigned Wings at Benden, though they both put in Transfer requests to Trelis, which were granted gladly. At Trelis, mutations were more accepted, and welcomed... and some were even trying to get a Weyr only for mutations! Nadia liked the idea, but A'dan wasn't so sure...
When the Rebellion Uprising occurred, and the Weyr began taking sides, Nadia was unsure of how to feel. She wanted to join the rebellion and fight for the mutants, but her dragon did not like violence, and her brother simply refused to join the Rebellion, so she remained in Trelis, though she does support the Rebellion.

Appearance
Lonanth, at his full size, is rather small for an Ebony. He's lean and slender, a bit on the willowy side, and has rather larger-than-normal wings. In the air, he is incredibly graceful, and maintains that grace on the ground. He is as a size to his brother, Alburath, as the White is large for his color and the Ebony small.
Personality
Lonanth is a big dreamer. He is big on helping Nadia achieve her dreams and ambitions, though he absolutely abhors violence, which causes some arguments between dragon and rider. Lonanth is kind and considerate, and tries to help everyone to the best of his ability... even if it does mean he has to fight.
The Ebony, however, is rather shy. He is not so good at making new friends, though the ones he has he loves to play with. He's big on playing, and constantly tells Nadia that she needs to stop being so serious and play a bit-- playing makes everything better!
