Dragon vs. Rider {Phantom/K'te}

Yanoya stared at Hyselhoeth who still refused to move. He was an observant dragon... keen of mind for a dragon, at least... and yet he was so lazy! He was pudgy! He needed to get in shape! "Come on! Hysel! We need to get to work! You can't sit there all sharding day!" She crossed her arms, staring down her blue who just looked at her with a lazily swirling eye.

It doesn't really matter, does it mine. I'm doing fine. Why do I need more training? Good enough is good enough. Besides... Why not watch the others. There is much to be learned by being still, or a little lazy, and just watching... The dragon yawned lazily and Yanoya gave a huff of a sigh. "Hyselhoeth!"

The dragon just dropped his head and slid his eyes shut as if he was going to sleep right there and then. In fact... he might have already been asleep. Except that Yanoya could feel his mingled amusement and frustration. She sighed and finally plopped down by his side.

"If you get us killed, don't blame me!" she yelled at him, getting no response. Sure she loved her dragon. Sure she forgave his faults... but they were so different. She wanted to work - needed to. And so did he! He needed to train! Faranth! Did he not get it?!

She didn't even bother trying to shove him like when he was younger and actually small enough to be pushed or shoved into doing something... IT was pointless now. He was a big blue and he was starting to grow to show it. "What ever am I going to do with you...?" she asked him in dismay.

It's not fair, Mine! Why does Banemith get to go and flirt with the girls? Aerinth grumbled to K'te. Because, Aerinth, he is a Brown and you're the only Jade on Pern. And besides, you're too young. Aerinth hissed as the three were walking across the Training Grounds. K'te then spotted something up ahead: it was a girl and her young blue.

As he got closer, he recognized the girl almost immediately. It was Yanoya, the first girl he met! Look, Aerinth! It's Yanoya and Hyselhoeth! Hyselhoeth? That lazy blue? BORING! Aerinth grumbled. Oh come on Aerinth! Maybe we could help him work out! K'te told him. Nerugui chirped and nudged K'te, encouraging him to go say hi.

K'te raised his left arm and shouted a hearty greeting.

Yanoya gave a huff. "Do you know how annoying you are, Hysel?" He snorted.

Only as annoying as you allow yourself to think I am. Which is pretty annoying. so I would like to say, yes I do know. Why the... cheeky lazy blue...

Yanoya sighed and leaned her head against Hyselhoeth as if in defeat...

Which was when she heard that greeting... She smiled. It was K'te. She turned around and waved at him. "Hey K'te! How are you and Aerinth and Nergui fairing?" Hew own Ebony Paxis gave a chirp to his brother and fluttered over Yanoya's head before flying a large and fast circle around the gather group.

Oh great... he is going to try to make me work, isn't he... our little Jade king... The blue's remark was to his rider alone... but it was enough to make Yanoya sigh in frustration. "You lazy...." She cut herself short and put on a pleasent smile. She was so blaming Hysel when they died.
