T’rian stared at the ground as he walked through the Weyr Bowl. His face was as emotionless as it had been since the day Loraketh had Betweened, and his eyes were cold as he stared at the ground. It was overcast, but from what he could tell it wouldn’t rain for quite a few days yet. He felt the ever present mind of his dragon that was about just as quiet and moody as he was. He couldn’t get Inali out of his mind, and was still trying to think of ways to bring her out of her shell. But things just kept getting more and more complicated for the two of them. He hadn’t even seen Inali really react to either of their twin girls, and started to wonder how hard all of this was hitting the two of them.
T’rian himself hadn’t even had much interaction with either of his twins since that day, but at least he tried to smile and appear somewhat happy around them. He didn’t want them to worry about him or their mother, but how could he make it so they didn’t worry when that was just about all he did? He felt Stallorth watching him and looked up to where he knew the bronze male was lying. Maybe you should go out as well, get a little exercise before the storm comes. He was trying to keep the peace, and make everyone close to him feel better about everything. And it didn’t help to have a moody dragon weighing on his mind at all times. Stallorth snorted at his rider’s words, which was more emotion than he’s shown in quite a long while. Which gave the ex-Weyrleader a little hope about the future.

Where was she? Where...was...she? Where...how did I get lost in my own Weyr? This hasn't happened since, I don't know when the last time was. Inali bit her lip as she turned another corner, her body curled inward slightly to make herself seem smaller and less of a threat to whoever passed by. She didn't trust any of these riders, none of them. Who would protect her now if she got into trouble? Certainly not them, her dragoness, oh Loraketh! Her dragoness had clutched the very things they were afraid of, of course they wouldn't help her.
The dragonless rider was searching for something, something that amazingly wasn't her dragon for once. Ghost, as always, was curled around her neck and watched behind Hers. Someone had to watched the troubled human's back. Another corner was turned, and again Inali came across nothing. What was she looking for? Why did she feel the urge to warp her arms around something, to cradle something to her and croon to it until she felt whole again? It....what was it.
"T'rian?" Her voice came out as a broken whisper, her wide eyes looking blankly at her weyrmate. She had been so distant toward him, so distant and yet so close. Numbly she went to him, wrapping her arms around him, not caring if he tried to run away. Why that thought even occurred to her she wasn't sure, but she was terrified that he would. She didn't want him to leave her too. "Where...I.....Inoria! Talian! That's who I was trying to find. Where are they? Oh, I know they must be with Lor....."
She trailed off after her sudden burst of happiness. Shaking her head as she realized her mistake she burrowed her face against the nearest comforting thing, which she hoped was his shoulder.

T’rian turned around quickly when he heard someone whispering his name. He felt something tugging at his heart strings when he saw Inali’s wide eyes staring at him blankly, where once they were full of life and love. His own eyes softened as he watched her, and slowly became full of love and sadness. She had felt so distant to him, and it seemed as though everything he had done or said for the woman had gone unseen, and unheard. But here she was, standing before him, and then she did something that surprised him. She came to him, and wrapped her arms around him. He was in complete and utter shock at the movement. He slowly wrapped his arms around her, and held her tightly against him. He started wondering if this was real, or if it was nothing more than a waking dream.
Then she spoke, and reality seemed to crash down on both of them. He wrapped his arms as tightly around as he possibly good, not wanting to ever let her go. They are alright Inali, would you like Ghost to call them here? There was a war going on in his voice. Happiness and sadness were fighting with each other as he spoke. He was over the clouds with joy as he stood there with the love of his life held tightly in his arms, but he was also just wanting to break down and cry like a little baby at the lost that they both felt. He did his best not to speak of Stallorth; he didn’t know how that would affect the woman that was now held tightly against him with her head against her shoulder. So instead he spoke of the green firelizard that was wrapped around Inali’s neck, and had always seemed to have a strange connection to their daughter, Talian.

Inali just melted into the bronzerider's arms, not quite sure what to say. Did she want to see them? Something in her said yes, while the rest said no. What was the point, she would only lose them too if she got to close. How the young woman came to that conclusion, she had no idea, but it was there in her head. Ghost paced along Inali's shoulders and onto T'rian's own broader ones as she waited for Hers to make a decision. When the dark-haired girl finally nodded her head, Ghost spread her wings and flew off soundlessly, betweening quickly while Inali still had her head burrowed against T'rian's arm.
"How are things? Is...is Iirla alright? What about J'dol? I wasn't quite sure, I haven't seen either in so long." She spoke in a quite, broken voice, uncertain about her words. Was what she saying making sense? Did it sound right, was it what she should be saying? She knew none of this anymore, she was just so lost. Holding her weyrmate tighter as if that would hold herself together better, Inali took in a deep breath. It wasn't long before she tensed though, unfamiliar with receiving pictures from her own firelizard. After all, few things were this important.
"You two get back here! How dare you, just because your parents are who they are doesn't mean anything. Where are you, you little 'brats." S'vrin's voice hissed through clenched teeth as he rubbed his head where a stone had hit him. He was certain that it had come from the younger twin Inoria, though he couldn't be certain how or even why. No, perhaps he could tell why.
Behind the tapestry, the little four turn old was flat against the wall trying to keep her breathing to a minimum. Scared, help. She sent the thought out to one of the dragons she knew was good, that was on the side her parents were on, not this horrible person's. She hated him, she hated him and she barely knew why. She just knew he was bad, that he had done bad things. Her mother was unhappy with him, so was her father. That's all Inoria needed to know.
A hand darted around the tapestry, grabbing onto her wrist. She cried out, surprised that she had been found so soon, also trying to warn her sister to escape. He was so close, right there, and she was terrified. An angry chittering interrupted the angry tirade that S'vrin had been on as he clenched the girl's arm in his hand. "Ghost!" Inoria's happy outburst was only made happier when her mother ran around the corner.
She had to leave, oh Faranth Inali had to leave now! Pulling away quickly from T'rian's arms she started running. The dragonless rider didn't stop, she couldn't stop, not until she reached them. Don't make me too late, please don't make me too late. She rounded another corner, gritting her teeth at the sight of S'vrin grasping Inoria's arm and pulling her out from behind a tapestry. "What do you think you're doing? Get away from my daughter!" The bronzerider let Inoria go, the girl scampering toward her mother and clutching her hip.
"You can take away my Weyr, you can harm my riders, you can torment me with memories of my Queen. You may never harm my children." Her voice took on a cold tone, her eyes narrowing at the rider in front of her. "Talian, it's alright. Come out now." Scanning for the older twin, Inali kept her eyes trained on the bronzerider as well. No more, I'm not going to allow him to terrorize them anymore. I can't allow it....she would never have wanted this. In that moment Inali finally broke through the ice that had formed over her feelings.
Instead of coming out happy or even somber though, she was bitter. She hated them, she wanted them to pay, and somehow they would. Even if it was the last thing she did.

T’rian wrapped his arms tighter around Inali as she seemed to melt into his arms. A small smile could be seen at the corner of his mouth, it seemed to him like she was coming back, like he was slowly getting his old Inali back again. He wasn’t sure where she had been hiding for so long, but none of that mattered as long as she came back to him, as long as they could be a real family again. He looked over at the green firelizard as she paced over onto his shoulders. He couldn’t remember Ghost ever coming to him like that before, and he wondered if Inali’s emotions were driving the little firelizards actions. Then Inali nodded, and away Ghost flew, he watched as she betweened, and wondered if she was going Inoria or Talian. If he remembered correctly, the little green didn’t like the older twin very much.
T’rian looked down at Inali as she spoke, and frowned at her voice. She sounded so uncertain, nothing like the old Inali that he remembered. Iirla and J’dol are both doing their best, though, I think the fact that Izanycorth is getting ready to rise is taking a toll on her. He didn’t know what it was like to be impressed to a dragoness, and never really had to deal with all of the mood swings that seemed to take place as they started to get ready to rise. But he did know that he felt sorry for both Iirla and J’dol, especially J’dol. The poor man was impressed to what seemed like a very temperamental dragoness in his eyes. Either way he shook his head, what would happen would happen, that was a lesson he learned the hard way, and he knew that there was no stopping what was going to come.
T’rian looked down at Inali when tensed, and wondered what had happened. What is it? But before he could finish his sentence she was already running away from him, then she heard Stallorth’s angry roar and saw, for the first time in a long time, the large male take to the skies like his tail was on fire. All he needed were the angry emotions coming off of his dragon to spur him into action. He took off after Inali, and rounded the corner a little after she did. He glared at S’vrin, but stayed quiet as Inali spoke. He wrapped an arm around Talian as she ran out from behind the tapestry and clung to both him and Inali for dear life. I don’t know what happened, but if you ever touch my children again you are going to wish you were never born. His voice was a low hiss as he spoke to the other man.
Talian gulped silently as she hid beside her sister, her green-grey eyes wide with fear. Her mind was silent, and she couldn’t even call for help from one of the Weyr’s many firelizards. Thankfully though it seemed like her sister was a little less paralyzed, she heard a dragon roar from somewhere far off, and wondered if her sister had called for help. She tried to yelp when a hand appeared behind the tapestry and grabbed Inoria’s wrist. She tried to scramble out from behind the tapestry, but tripped over the end of it, and fell face forward. Thankfully she had caught herself just in time to keep her nose from hitting the floor, but not before she scuffed up her knees. She turned and looked back when she heard a familiar chittering sound. She would have recognized Ghost’s voice anywhere.
GHOST!!!! Talian wanted to scream with joy when she saw her mother, and her father coming to their rescue. She scrambled up and ran to her mother when she called her, and clung to her parents and never wanted to let go. She sent gentle feelings of gratitude to the green firelizard she had been torturing…um…playing with…since she was just a baby. She was four turns old now, and had a little more control over her ability to communicate with the firelizards. Though, whether or not the green would ever forget or forgive her for the way she had been treated when she was younger, was unknown. None of that mattered now though. She peaked around behind her mother, and smirked mischievously at her sister. It looked like they were in the clear now.

S'vrin drew back, stumbling slightly as he narrowed his eyes at the weyrmates and their twins. Shaking his head, he muttered a string of curses. If Inali had thought for a moment that perhaps there was more to the man than brute will, it would be then. She looked at him as he stared back, one hand trembling ever so slightly as he reached up to grasp at some necklace whose pendent winked back at her with a green light. Was it a dragon that took its shape? She couldn't quite tell, nor did she care.
Reaching her own hand over to also caress Talian's hair while still holding form to Inoria, she kept her stance and gaze harsh on the bronzerider. Finally, S'vrin left without another word. He didn't glare or try to attempt to cause them to flinch or show any other signs of aggression. He just simply left. "It's alright now my loves, you're safe." Inali sighed as the girls were kept in her sight. They would not disappear like She did. They would not leave her.
"I have been gone far too long." The young woman spoke bitterly, the difference in her voice enough to make Inoria tense and wiggle out of her mother's grip, her hands seeking her twin's arm instead. She tried to think soothing thoughts, letting them reach Stallorth as best she could without actually saying anything. She didn't like using her gifts when she didn't have to. It was easier that way to keep them hidden. Her sister seemed to delight in causing the Firelizards mischief as far as she could tell though. Even Ghost eyed Talian wearily.
