Was it legal to feel like this? Honestly, was it even possible? Ara couldn't let the little smile on her face go as she snuggled into whatever warm body she was against currently. The events from the previous night had not yet come back, she was still too much asleep and too far gone for that to have happened. Sighing wistfully the greenrider kept her eyes closed, just enjoying the little bit of liquid sunshine that clung to every part of her body. Okay, so apparently she had spent the night with J'dol again, who else could it be and there was certainly someone in a bed with her.
It was a few moments later that she blinked one bleary eye open and yawned, blinking both finally as she lifted her head slightly off the other's chest. The face was partially hidden behind her hair, but it was tan skin and dark features.....but totally not J'dol. The flight came back to her then, the random bluerider that had been a part of his chasers. Sighing, but not at all in a nice way, Alyara pulled back and put a hand to her forehead. Who did I sleep with Avi? The green curled up on the ledge outside, having stayed the night as well since she didn't like being far from Hers.
You'd rather not know. Angered the rider narrowed her eyes and started to poke, then shake the man's shoulder. "Hey...wake up.....who the shards are you and why won't my dragon tell me?" Okay, not the best thing to wake up to, but when you're 20 and you find yourself with someone almost your age and a half if not older, well ugly was just the beginning. Why in Faranth's name does he remind me of....no, couldn't be.

J'mol woke up, blinking. Who had it been that he had gone to bed with last night...? Oh Faranth... No. Shard it all! Why did it have to be her of all potentional people!
He grimaced. "Hello Alyara... Um... I'm J'mol... J'dol's father." He was already reaching for his pants on the floor, making sure to remain as covered as he could. Faranth. Shard it all this was crazy. His son would not be happy.
He looked at Vaarinth who was sulking on the ledge. He had lost the lovely Kayath's flight. The blue wasn't going to say anything even if J'mol asked him a question...
J'mol ran a hand trough his black hair and sighed. "Well... what a turn of events...." he said, shaking his head.
((I'M SORRY IT'S SHORT! *flail*))

Well hadn't this turned out to be an interesting morning! Waking up next to R'hard, having a heart to heart with Iirla. Yes, today was looking to be a rather wonderful day all in all. Of course, running into Ara would be nice; he hadn't seen the girl all morning and he was beginning to think Iirla had been right; she must have found someone to curl up with for the flight. He wondered briefly who she might have ended up with, but after a moment he shrugged and stopped caring. To J'dol, he never thought it would matter who she slept with.
Stretching, he practically skipped down the corridor, his father's weyr drawing closer with every step. Kayath had informed him that Vaarinth had been one of the chasers, so naturally J'dol had to go tease his father about it. Drawing up to the entrance, he took a deep breath, a grin spreading across his face, before launching himself into the room.
"Hey old man! Are you in he-eee ARA?!" His expression dropped from happy-go-lucky to confused-beyond-belief in the blink of an eye.

Okay, she definitely had not been expecting that. Her jaw dropped, no literally it just fell right open as if the hinge completely stopped working. For a moment she just stayed like that, and then she shut her mouth with a definite click as bottom teeth hit top. Breath....just breath. It's fine, so you slept with his dad, no biggie. Maybe this is a good thing? Oh Shards and Shells how can this possibly be a good thing and frick you've got to be kidding me, no sharding way in Faranth's mind! Her thoughts went from slow and semi-smooth to frantic to outright unbelieving and outraged as none other but that little troublemaking Topazrider jumped in.
Instead of blushing and trying to draw in on herself though she threw aside the covers and grabbed for the nearest clothing she could find. When it happened to be a man's shirt, she slammed it down on the ground and then went for a considerably smaller article of clothing. Yanking the dress over her head she glared at J'dol and pointed a finger at him. "This is your fault. I swear by Avirith's egg that you're not sleeping with me for a week, no a month!" Gritting her teeth she marched out of the room and into the dragon's cave. However, her path was blocked by a blue. "Move shard it, I'm not in the mood to play around or watch your moping tail all day!"
Oh, please do try to be nice.

J'mol was more interested in making sure he had his pants. But he looked up as his son answered. He didn't bother to answer though as soon things were falling apart. He sighed. At least he had his pants now.
"Hey son..." he rubbed the back of his head awkwardly and watched Ara have her rampage. "Vaarinth... let the lady through..." He sighed and rubbed his temples... this was just going to be wonderful.
Vaarinth lifted his head and regarded Ara, moving only enough for her to slip through. He was not a very happy blue today.
J'mol rubbed his temples again."You might want to go talk to her about now... I think I've done all the damage I can do..." he sighed.

If Ara thought she was shocked, well, she had nothing on J'dol. Like a deer in the headlights, J'dol looked like all brain activity had stopped. He simply stared dumbfounded at the scene in front of him. Ara had slept with his father... His father had slept with Ara... No matter how he reorganized the thought, it didn't make it... hurt less. They were an open relationship... she could sleep with anyone, it was their unspoken agreement... but his FATHER? There was just something wrong about the whole thing.
Ok. Calm down, he told himself. It was a flight... she probably just thought it had been him or something. J'dol knew he took after his father in a lot of ways but... come on. He was better than his father! How could she possibly think J'mol was him?! "Really Dad? My girlfriend?" He still looked beyond shocked. He didn't get a chance to ask questions however, as before he could think of anything to say, Ara was storming out and throwing threats.
"H-hey! Ara... let's not be too hasty, come on. Vaarinth don't you move for her- Shard it you useless chunk of meat!" He raced after Ara, stopping only long enough to give his father a 'we will talk about this later mister' look. He bolted to the ledge, shoving at Vaarinth to stay out of the way.
"Ara come on. Let's talk about this!" He called as he ran up behind her, moving to wrap his arms around her in the hopes of getting her to stop and calm down.

She hadn't waited that long for the blue to move, in fact the greenrider was down right impatient in her waiting. Before Vaarinth had even started to budge she had been pushing around him, and Ara stumbled slightly as she finally had enough room to walk. Picking herself up from that stumble against the wall, she shook her head and flipped her hair over one shoulder. Okay, not the smoothest of moves, but it's what she had! Avirith could barely contain the chortle that escaped her jaws as she watched Hers manuever through Vaarinth's cave. Really now AraMine? You can't tell me that you're just going to up and leave? Not after he's said that.
Ara paused momentarily, enough so that J'dol was able to catch her and wrap his arms around her. She didn't fight it though, instead she withdrew and tried to replay the scene. What had Avirith meant....oh Faranth did he really just say? "Girlfriend? You think you can call me your girlfriend? Lover, friend, one night stand, all those would apply to our situation. Girlfriend however would entitle a bit more commitment wouldn't it J'dol?" Her voice was low, nothing more than a coarse whisper as she narrowed her eyes at him. "I promised I'd be there for you, and I was, didn't have to be, but it was just in case you needed me. Well, looks like I was the one who got into trouble."
"Not that I can fault you, you weren't you...." She let her eyes drift to the side and shook her head. Avirith, please get me out of here. The Green smacked her tail against the ground and hissed, her lips pulling back to show her fangs. Not happening! Her outburst wasn't just for her rider, and she quickly launched off the ledge and went up to the Weyr Heights. "Great load of good you are you sharding menace!" Shouting up the Green, Ara sighed but was far from ready to relax.

[[ooc: Switching up the order so J'mol can get involved]]
When Ara stopped and and didn't fight his embrace, J'dol simply assumed he had been successful and the woman was calming down. He was though.... so very wrong. A she first began lecturing him, his grip tightened possessively, but by the end his arms had all but fallen to his sides, an expression of genuine hurt flashing across his features before he steeled his gaze. This was why he didn't commit. If you commited it only hurt more when they rejected you, he knew that already and yet he was trying anyways. Trying for a woman who just shoved his efforts in his face. He forced a smile, though his eyes were narrowed in displeasure and his voice was rather cold.
"You misunderstand me Ara. I simply assumed you would prefer the term 'girlfriend' to 'sex buddy'." He turned away from her, his voice lowering, "Only a fool would think there was anything more between us." A fool like him. Well, he would learn from this. He didn't need commitment, and no one needed it from him. "I appreciate your concern, but I didn't need your help. Well, that's a lie. You kept my father away, thanks for that." He hadn't been himself huh? Sleeping with the first random person to come along sounded exactly like him. Was she trying to make excuses? "Oh well, you got a fun night at least right? I've heard he's almost as good as I am so I can hardly fault you for it."
Squeezing by Vaarinth again he went back to the room, tossing his father a quick glance as he made his way over. No doubt the man had heard everything that had gone on, either through the volume of their voices or by Vaarinth listening in. With an annoyed huff, he face planted into the bed next to J'mol. He didn't even know what to say to his father about it... perhaps he should just apologize for ruining his morning? "Sooo..." He looked at his father, trying to look amused and coming off more grumpy than anything, "I hear Vaarinth was one of Kay's chasers." Change the subject off of Ara... that's all he needed to do.

J'mol sighed, rubbing his temples. One night had turned into a complete nightmare. Of course... considering some of his morning afters... so far... this one wasn't too bad. But of course, it was going to only get worse as his son got upset and his... Wait... had his son just said the word girlfriend. Faranth. He thought he'd never see the day. He shook his head in wonder and waited. Just waited. A lover's spat was a lover's spat. Fair and simple.... though the woman did seem to have a lot of write of it all... his son was very much not good with relationships or staying with one person for long. It was a simple fact. It was one that he himself had often shared. In his case, he considered it something about thrice bitten, twenty times shy... Too many supposed loves and not enough truly being as such.
Oh... and of course, J'dol had to go and say all that. He sighed and rubbed his temples again. Faranth. Would he have to fight this battle for his son? Maybe so... but the boy did deserve a chance.
Vaarinth gave a huff of irritation, but didn't say a word. Instead he simply stood and went to his ledge, gliding down to find somewhere else to rest. Away form the noisy intruders.
He frowned. Was that something he had taught the boy? Avoid the problem? "Yes, he was.... Now J'dol. No switching topics like that. You're angry at me because I slept with the girl you want to love... Can you be honest with her, me, and yourself now..." He rubbed his temples again. "Listen son. I'm sorry. But you know that flightlust doesn't leave a whole lot of room for such things as recognition. But I'd consider maybe locking yourself in the room with the woman you'd like to have with you next time... maybe keep this kind of thing from happening." So he was blunt. So he was straight forward... So he sounded callous. "And how is Kayath this morning? I'm sure the Princess is quite happy with her mate..." He smiled slightly. He loved his son to no end... and he knew that if his princess was happy, then he would be happy. He always wanted his son to be happy. And he also wanted him to settle down and love one woman for awhile. And Alyara seemed, if not by what little association he had had with her then by reputation, to be the kind of woman his son needed... the only kind he could ever hope to actually hold onto him. Because his son was definitely even worse than his father when it came to actually loving someone. But then again... J'mol was older... more experienced...

Ara stood stalk still as J'dol's words hit her. So that's how it is, that's the other shoe I knew would drop. She couldn't move, she couldn't do anything. She just stayed like that watching him go into the other room. Avirith craned her neck around to see Vaarinth leave, agitation still whirling in orange swirls through her faceted eyes. Sighing, the green finally skidded down to the ledge again as Ara walked over. We're not going, but I am here. Go put some water on your neck, isn't that suppost to help?
The greenrider nodded her head, unable to say anything and mechanical in her movements. She didn't look up to see J'dol and J'mol on the bed, she didn't even hear the father and son talking. Her hands grasped for the water in the bathing room, somehow glad that the bluerider had water here and not a communal bathing room like she had to deal with. Fingers cupped together, bringing water to her face and her breath held until she had to force it from her lungs. Why did she feel so dirty now? Maybe a bath would be a good thing, but that would mean she'd have to go back out and leave.
Instead she scrubbed at her arms with water and fingers, making them red with the abuse. Finally Avirith warbled and Alyara snapped out of the act. Drawn by the sound she came out, looked over at where the green was poking her head through the cave's entrance and walked to her dragoness. When she shied away though, Ara bit her lip. That's enough, we need to talk through this. Say you're sorry for what you said. Why do I have to say it first? Why can't he for once? The dragoness snorted, looking up as a flash of Gold appeared from between.
Aries was not happy, she was not happy because Hers was unhappy. Her eyes flicked over to the two men and a hiss escaped her jaws as her eyes started to whirl red. "Aries..." Ara's voice was weaker than it should have been though and the Gold darted toward them. "ARIES!" Mid-attack the firelizard stopped, her wings beating to keep her in the air and her eyes burning with hatred. "Leave. Now." With an angry chirp she was gone, and Ara sagged back against Avirith. "Faranth save me from temperamental Golds! I'm sorry." HA! Finally got you to say it. No, it doesn't matter the reason why, that was the plan.
The greenrider dropped her jaw as Avirith talked plainly for them all. Enough of that MineLove. Vaarinth'sOwn is right, you two must talk. AraMine is not faulting you or refusing you Kayath'sOwn. She's just embarrassed....scared I think to. You said he wasn't himself, but you weren't yourself either....you know, if you need actual comfort since this dimglow isn't helping much I can get your mom. "Avirith, she is not my mother! ...and I don't need her, I'm not a child. You can't just call her everytime I have issues with men." Well the last time I did you had a dagger in your hand and a lot shorter hair, so forgive me if I was worried.
Ara blushed, looking at her feet and then risking a glance toward the two on the bed. Sighing she walked over, planning to say something, but instead her foot caught on something. That one little stumble sent her over and tumbling onto the bed between the two of them, a groan coming from the covers.....and then laughter. "Ow...." Rolling her eyes and chortling, Avirith shook her head and backed up and away. There was a blue that needed her comfort at the moment, and off she went in search of him. Oh Vaarinth love, I don't see how Kayath could refuse the likes of you. You're so steady and loving, nothing can compare to you.
"I swear....she's half the problem sometimes."

J'dol grimaced in guilt. He was putting his father through something unpleasant for no reason. He wasn't even particularly mad at J'mol for sleeping with Ara. He knew it was because of the flight; his father would never sleep with Ara otherwise, he had always avoided women that J'dol was with.
"I'm not angry with you, it just caught me by surprise." J'dol shrugged, annoyed that J'mol wasn't letting him avoid the issue at hand. It wasn't that the woman he had feelings with had slept with the only person J'dol shared a solid relationship with. No it was more than that, it was the way she had gotten angry with him over flightlust, and how she'd rejected the closest thing to commitment he could currently offer. His father should know better than anyone that J'dol knew all about how flightlust worked. He knew all about it, and he planned to abuse it. A night of fun with someone he didn't know, didn't have to woo was his ideal, especially since it came commitment free. He rolled his eyes. "I did just that dad. I locked myself in an open field with a bunch of people I wanted to be with."
"She's asleep again now, but I'd say pleased, all in all. I know I was quite happy with his rider." He was cut short of saying anything else as the air was suddenly echoing with the screams of a very angry little gold flit. If Ara thought that just saying sorry would fix things, then she had another thing coming. Lucky for her, Avirith had some real sense and seemed to understand the underlying issue, at least a little bit. Avirith was NOT Ara though, an apology through her dragon wouldn't make J'dol feel better. "There's nothing to apologize for." After all, apologies were for people who had something together. Right now, her apology was to a stranger. Sure, he was being as difficult as a woman right now, but he was hurt dammit!
His lips quirked in a quick smile as she tripped and fell into the bed, but he couldn't bring himself to comment on Avirith. "Clutz..."
