Iirla sat in the meeting chamber, parchments and bits of information spread out on the long table there. She felt like she had her hands full. "Izanycorth... would you mind calling someone to help me here. J'dol... or Alyara... S'val maybe." She couldn't ask Vl'kan... but she would if he were already a full rider already.... She put a hand on her stomach and looked at the small mound that was starting to grow there. Her child... and Vl'kan's. She couldn't let anyone know yet... Not until he had graduated... She was grateful the healer she had seen had agreed to keep it quiet...
Little did she know that Izanycorth had soem ideas of her own for who she was going to call and didn't care at all about
Maerath... will you please send yours to the metting chambers to meet with mine. She could use his assistance... and... would you please come to sit with me, my dearest...?
Izanycorth crooned adoringly to Maerath.
Iz... Who did you call? Her dragoness had been strangely secretive about it... And even gone as far to block out her rider for a moment and that made Iirla rather... suspicious...
He will be there soon... so just wait and be calm.
Oh the dragoness knew hers was not going to be particularly happy with her.
Iirla gave a sigh. She hoped she hadn't gone as far as to try to call for Vl'kan... that would not be a good idea at this time.

Maerath... will you please send yours to the metting chambers to meet with mine. She could use his assistance... and... would you please come to sit with me, my dearest...?
The bronze rumbled. He had been napping on a rather sunny ledge, trying to warm his bronze hide, but there was nothing he would not do for his beautiful golden Queen. Of course, my love, my Queen. Yawning, he stretched his wings, and launched himself into the air. Landing on the edge of his bonded's Weyr, he snaked his head inside to gently butt his head against S'bel. Mine. Izanycorth's wants you in the Meeting Chambers. My Queen has asked me to sit with her. Hurry up, S'belMine, we must go quickly!S'bel grunted. Vanda, his little Lazuli fire lizard, squawked indignantly at Maerath before curling her tail around S'bel's neck tightly. The Wingleader stood up from his own desk, and pulled on a more suitable shirt before throwing himself onto Maerath's back. "Take us away, my love," he called. Maerath trumpeted before falling from the ledge. Winging carefully around, he deposited S'bel first at the Meeting Chambers before crooning to Izanycorth and going to sit with her. Twining his neck in hers, the bronze purred happily. S'bel stood at attention, hands locked behind his back. "Izanycorth relayed to Maerath that you would like to meet with me?" He was tempted to add a my love at the end, but decided not to, given the circumstances. "How can I be of assistance?"

Iirla felt a rush of irritation as she found out that Iz had sent for... S'bel. Faranth. What are you trying to do? Make Vl'kan hate me more? Iirla gave a mental sigh as her dragoness did not answer, but there was a happy purring sound in her mind as the gold twined her neck with her bronze love. I am so glad that you came, my bronze love... she crooned to him, nuzzling him gently.
"I'm attempting to go through the records here and..." she looked up from the parchments she had been looking over, "Ah... trying to find us a replacement Headwoman... and we need to think about reshuffling the wings... also, as I understand it, Alyara will be stepping in as an Assistant Weyrlingmaster. Due to this, I would like her moved into another wing when she is not working with the Weyrlings. I would prefer that she and all the Weyrlingmasters could bring their reports to me and that I could then relay them on.. but it is more than I think the Weyrleadership can do at this time. I am tiring of S'vrin calling meetings without properly informing J'dol or myself... We need a Weyrleader. Hopefully Izanycorth will rise within the next few days." She was just talking now, her mind only half on what she was saying and his presence. "I need you to help me go through the records and search and sort them. I also believer that some of them need to be rewritten. Our records on Threadfall need to be studied and gone over more thoroughly by all Wingleaders as well... As you are here, I will put you in charge of that task." She sighed slightly and sat, feeling tired. She rested a hand on her stomach, which showed just a little bit... She felt somewhat sad... Vl'kan... she had hurt him so badly... And this child... This child had every right to know and be loved by its father...
She picked up another piece of parchment and started reading, oen hand stll resting on her stomach.
Maerath... Tell yours to ask Mine about her health... I'm sure that it would be a good thing for him to do... it may make her nervous though... Especially since she won't want to give him an answer or a reason... or good reason... She was trying to influence her rider... while her rider was still trying to influence her...

Hanako swept her flame colored curls back behind her shoulders. She looked fairly good she thought, considering she'd cried every night for the last week. A crisp white shirt tucked into her floor length skirt. She had finally gotten to where her face was t puffy and red from the crying. Taking a deep breath she headed to the kitchens. Iirla's v'lkan hadn't been getting the morning k'lah for them the way he had been, so that was one of the duties she'd taken on for herself.
The weyrwoman by all accounts was already in the meeting chambers working, so after making her klah and pouring a small cup of milk, and arranging the tray with some toast and jam she made her way along the halls to the meeting hall. She hurried so the klah would still be hot.
She came into the chambers with a bright smile for Iirla, noticing only the weyrwoman at first.
"Your klah and a bit of breakfast weyrwoman Iirla. You've not eaten much the last day or so, so I took the liberty of making sure you at least have the opportunity while you attend to the morning's business. Is there..oh my.". She broke off the smile falling as she saw the bronze rider also at the table.
"Apologies weyrwoman, I thought you were alone this morning... I didn't mean to interrupt... Should I fetch a cup for your companion as well?"

S'bel frowned. She was obviously irritated that Izanycorth had called for him, but he ignored her discontent and took a seat across from her. Papers were spread out all across the table, looking incredibly disorganized. S'bel picked one up, absently scanning it with cloudy blue eyes.
Izanycorth crooned to Maerath, who rumbled back happily. Of course I came, by beautiful Golden love. Of course I came. He nuzzled her gently, eyes swirling in happiness. S'bel just sighed. His dragon was completely, hopelessly in love. ...then again, so was he. Iirla began talking, and S'bel's attention sharpened. Attempting to go through the records was an understatement... things were so unorganized! S'bel frowned. His own diagrams and plans for Threadfall were meticilous. This complete lack of organization almost made him want to throw something out of a window. As the Weyrwoman went on, he mentally made a list. Replacement Headwoman. Reshuffle Wings. Move Alyara to a new Wing when she's not acting as Assistant Weyrlingmaster. Here he made a mental note to punch Alyara. Maerath chuckled. S'bel frowned and went back to making his list. Get reports from the Weyrlingmasters. Punch S'vrin in the face for not obeying the Weyrwoman. And then he paused. She needed a Weyrleader? Well, that could be him. He could be Weyrleader. And he'd be a damn good one, too. He looked over at Izanycorth, and commented for the first time. "She does seem to be luminescent..." He murmured. Perhaps she would rise within the next few days... And I will Catch her. Those words were meant for S'bel alone, and the man jerked his head up in a surprised response. Maerath was so confident... more confident than S'bel had ever seen him, in fact. Naturally, as a bronze, his bonded was normally a cocky, arrogant, confident beast, but... not like this. S'bel quickly tried to mask his surprise by turning his attention back to Iirla and shuffling some papers around idly. It was then that a young woman entered, and S'bel turned. He nodded his approval to her, and smiled. "Don't worry about me... Hanako, is it? I've already had my morning Klah." He continued with his list. Go through and search and sort records. Get some of them rewritten. Study records on Threadfall... She put him in charge of that task, and he glowed a bit with pride. He loved planning tactical advances to combat Threadfall, and had already looked over most of the records... but he could do better than that. He could write new records, and pass them out to the other Wingleaders. Yes, that would make sense. He jumped again, startled, when Maerath's voice broke into his mind. Izanycorth asks me to tell you to inquire as to Her's health... but she may be nervous, and she will not want to give you a good reason. But my Golden Love bids me to ask it of you, and so I shall. S'bel turned to stare in the direction of his dragon before shaking his head in wonder. She did seem tired... and pale. He wondered why. For now, however, he needed to put his mind to business. "As for a replacement Headwoman, I'm the wrong man to ask. I can, however, reshuffle the Wings and reassign Alyara while she isn't aiding as Assistant Weyrlingmaster. I can also collect reports from all of the Weyrlingmasters and deliver them to you. As for the records, I can search and sort them, but my penmanship won't do for rewriting any of them. I'll search out a Harper, perhaps, or a Candidate with a neat hand to help us there." He nodded deciscively. Perhaps Hanako had a neat hand, and could help copy records. "Now, I've already studied most of the records on Threadfall, but I can go over them again more thoroughly with the other Wingleaders, and we can certainly compile notes. Where S'vrin is concerned, I'll have a word with him. If nothing else, I outrank him by age. I'll see that he bears to mind to deferr to the Weyrwoman, don't you worry." Shuffling through a few more papers, he stood up, studying them idly. "Are you well, Iirla? You look pale," he mentioned, eyes still on the records, not his beloved Weyrwoman. Even when inquiring to her health, he was already working, sorting the records into distinct piles, keeping the pile for records on Threadfall closest to him. In his mind, he was already rearranging Wings. Naturally, the Lightning Strikes, Darkstars, and Stormchasers had just graduated, and would need to be assigned to their proper wings. Grabbing a piece of spare parchment and a piece of charcoal, he began jotting down notes of who went where, and also where he would put Alyara, all while waiting for Iirla's answer, which would no doubt be unsatisfactory...

Izanycorth crooned happily and nuzzled him. I can always count on you, my love. She was more than there. pleased to have the Bronze there. You will not let Cozyrith even come close, will you my love? she asked him softly.
Iirla took a deep breath. There was something very good for having S'bel there. He was incredible at these things. She didn't really say anything else for awhile. "I hope she will." She sighed. At this point... who caught her wasn't the fore most thing on her mind. She was more concerned with their being a good leader by this point... and she hoped that her dragoness would make a good choice.
Iirla caught the briefest glimpse of his surprise. She wasn't sure of what was going on... but she felt so... nervous with him... the work was so... Rather boring.
"Thank you very much Hanako," Iirla siad with a soft smile, taking the offered mug and taking a soft, slow sip, enjoying the feeling of it moving down her throat.
Iirla blinked as he looked towards where the dragons were. She wondered what they were saying. She looked at the records, scattered and disorganized as they were with some annoyance at the mess.
"We'll just have to see then, won't we... I bet J'dol will have some ideas... when he gets through this whole thing with Kayath's flight, anyhow..." She was quiet again, looking trough the spread out parchment before her.
She rested back in her seat and closed her eyes tiredly. "Thank you S'bel... I must admit.... I wouldn't get anywhere without you..." She actually stood and walked over to his side of the table, brushing a hand against his very gently for a brief moment before turning back to the table and picking up bits of parchment that matched the records she was going through at that particular moment. "I think I've let some of our wingleaders and wingseconds get sloppy with their reports," sh said in dismay.
"Oh.... um... I've been a bit sick lately..." She nearly dropped the records seh was holding when he asked, one hand going to the bump that would show the young life growing within her. "What do you think would be the best fits for the new Weyrlings...? I would love it if we could try to seperate and spread out Ar'rex and S'vrin's little.... group of riders... what ever yo uwant to call them...." She sighed again.

Maerath hummed happily. Of course you can always count on me, My beautiful Golden Queen. I will always be here. When she mentioned Cozyrith, however, his eyes swirled red, and he hissed angrily. I will not let Cozyrith touch you should my life depend on it! He growled. Iirla's response made S'bel nod. He hoped the Queen would rise soon, also. It would put an end to many, many problems. Izanycorth would make a choice, and that would be the end of it. The man of the dragon that won would be Weyrleader, and that would be that. No one could dispute a Flight outcome. "J'dol... yes... he should have some idea for a Headwoman... although..." Again, he wondered about Hanako. He shrugged that off, though. He could ask about that later. "Yes... he does have to figure out the whole trouble with Kayath's flight, I suppose..." He continued organizing papers into piles, noting that Iirla seemed a bit nervous with him. Well, so be it. He'd just have to work hard and show her that she didn't have to be. She leaned back and thanked him. When she stood and brushed a hand against hers, he trembled at her touch. Her dragon needed to rise, shard it all! He could barely stand the tension! It was almost as if the tension could be cut with a knife it was so thick. "Yes... some of the reports do seem to be sloppy..." He murmured quietly, in an off-hand sort of way. "I'll be sure to mention that when we go over the Threadfall records." She responded to his query, and he frowned. "Sick? From what?" He asked casually. S'belMineLove, you are blind. Came Maerath's voice. S'bel ignored it. Even if he probed Maerath for information, he wouldn't get it, so he remained silent. "I think I can work out arrangements for the new Weyrlings. I'll draw up a chart for you, and be sure to keep that group seperate. But really, my love..." He turned, and caught her hands in his. "You truly look sick. Should you be working? What ails you so?"

That... excuse of a dragon doesn't deserve his current position either.... the queen curled up irritably against her bronze's side. She didn't like that horrible excuse fr dragon flesh one bit.
"Hanako.. why don't you help S'bel rewrite some of the records?" she askedthe woman with a soft smile. "You could start helping us with these..." she said, motioning to a particular stack that S'bel was compiling.
After that she turned back to S'bel. "Thank you S'bel... S'bel you wouldn't mind Hanako helping you, would you? She does have wonderful handwriting and she is a wonderful person to have around..." she smiled warmly at the woman. Iirla rather liked her.
Iirla was quiet for a long moment. "It's nothing... I'm often getting sick... you know that..." she said with a cheery smile, which was a lie. she didn't want to tell him about the child that was growing inside of her....
"Thank you, S'bel... I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much." It turned out... he was the right man for this job, it seemed... Izy had called the right person in the end...
Then he stopped her and called her his love, catching her hands in his and asking what ailed her and if she should be working... and she bit her lip. "S'bel... I'm... I'm pregnant... with... Vl'kan's... child..." she bit her lip and looked him full in the face, just waiting for his reaction.

Hanako straightened from picking up a scroll that had fallen near iirla's chair. She'd make everything she could easier for her. As the assistant headwoman at a time where the headwoman herself had passed on, she was privy to all sorts of little details. Including iirla's pregnancy and the fact that she had been trying to keep it quiet. She had the urge to ask if the klah had been any easier with her stomach than it had been being. She had made sure to have them put more milk to cut the strength and make it easier on her. She just didn't know how to ask without making Iirla have to explain more to s'bel so she kept herself quiet.
Then Iirla asked her for her to help them with their tasks. She blushed brightly when Iirla praised her penmanship and her company. To tell the truth she enjoyed keeping the young weyrwoman's company. She was one of the main reasons she enjoyed her job.
"it would be my pleasure my lady. If you wouldn't mind my joining you lord s'bel, I'd gladly lend my help to making some sense of this ." with a small smile she gestured to the clusters of records still on the table, waiting for permission to join them. Then she wished she'd left right after s'bel had turned down the klah. It felt like she wa intruding on a very private moment and she wished for nothing more at that moment than an escape.
