Akira shook her head as she walked through the trees, knowing full well what might be lurking in the shadows. Tell me again why I let you drag me out here. She looked over and up at the blue dragon that was slowly walking beside her. He was fully grown now, and a lot bigger than her which meant that she had to strain her neck to look up at the male’s face. You agreed to come here Kikimine. You said that it would be a nice change of pace to be able to get out of the Weyr for a little while. Hearing her dragon’s deep, sweet voice inside of her head made her sigh. She just couldn’t stay mad at him. Alright, but next time can we pick a place with a little less trees? She smiled when Oridith rumbled and snorted at her words, and she patted his leg.
Blue was relaxing on Akira’s shoulder with his blue speckled tail wrapped around her neck. He crooned at the gentle breeze that was blowing through the trees, and even though it was winter, it was a very warm day. It probably didn’t help that the flit was still in trouble from his last little expedition around the Weyr, which had led to Akira once again getting yelled at for his actions. So now he wasn’t allowed to leave her sight, which meant that even though he didn’t want to come out here, he had no choice. Oridith had found the entire ordeal quite amusing, but when he saw that his rider was now upset he had offered this little trip to the forest in the hope that it would help Akira relax. Even though all she wanted to do at that moment was pound something into a pile of dust.
