Pandora shook her head and rubbed at her temples. For all that she tried she just couldn’t understand why her brown was so obsessed with having her bring him apples for his mid-day snack. That strange little habit of his had caused more than one argument between the two of them, but still she had always given in, and brought him what he wanted. There, now you had better eat all of them this time Guarximuth, or I won’t get you anymore I swear to Faranth. This was no new threat, but she knew that it would work, just as it had all the other times she had used it against the brown. Guarximuth snorted at his rider, but settled down and ate the apples his rider and brought him. He crooned as the sweet juices of the fruit slid down his throat, but he had to admit, chewing the little things was a bit difficult.
Pandora climbed up and sat down on Guarximuth’s back, and lay down. I wonder what things would be like if there were no fighting. She stared up at the clouds, and the passing birds as she spoke. Things would be very uneventful, and there wouldn't be much for us to do mine Pandora. The brown’s gruff voice boomed inside of her head but he never took his attention away from his apples. Ra rolled her eyes and giggled at her dragon. Hmm you have a point Guar. This would be pretty boring around here huh? She smiled when she felt the large male rumble with laughter beneath her. Thankfully she had picked a place on his back that held little risk of her falling off when he laughed. She had learned the hard way not to lay where she normally sat when she flew with him.

What... what are those shiny red things that handsome brown is eating, CrazyMine?
Saekath cocked her head to the side, eyes swirling rainbows. She had never seen the like before, and Iro'ris couldn't help but laugh as he walked along beside his dragon, a hand on her side. She was growing so rapidly he sometimes forgot she was still a baby... until she asked him about things like apples. "They're called apples," he told his Lion Queen, rubbing her eye ridges as they approached. The brown that was eating said apples was not one he was familiar with, nor was he familiar with the female rider that was currently lounging on his back, obviously used to this odd habit. Iro'ris watched the pair steadily as they slowly drew closer and closer, until they drew even with the brown and his rider. Nodding to the female rider, Iro'ris smiled, waving. "Good afternoon!" He called in a friendly manner. Stop being so nice, CrazyMine. I want to try one of these... apples...? The Topaz strove for perfection, so naturally she had to try anything and everything to attain it. Iro giggled helplessly. "If your brown wouldn't mind, Saekath would like to try an apple." [/blockquote][/blockquote] =====================

Pandora relaxed, almost completely, on Guarximuth’s large brown back. He was two turns now, and had reached his full growth, which always made her remember just how small he had been when he had hatched. Come now, thee should be grateful that I am fully grown. Guarximuth snorted as he spoke to his rider, believing something like that was simple common sense. Ra could more or less feel than hear her large brown attempting to chew the small apples, which made her smile. Then she felt Guar stiffen, so she sat up and looked around to see what it was that had caught the dutiful brown’s attention. She couldn’t help but cock her head as she watched the young topaz pair walking towards them. Take it easy, their only weyrlings. She didn’t really need to remind her dragon of this, but felt that she had to say something to him.
Good afternoon. Pandora saluted the ranking rider and his young dragoness quickly before sliding down Guarximuth’s side and landing gently on the ground beside him. It had taken her almost a full turn to be able to do that without falling flat on her face. She stood straight and looked up into the topaz rider’s face as he giggled, not really sure what to make of this strange turn of events. That is between him and her, though I highly doubt he’d deny a queen anything, even if she is so much younger than him. Guarximuth shook his head at his rider and turned his swirling eyes to look at the young topaz. I am Guarximuth, and thee are more than welcome to partake of my apples if thee would like. He crooned softly as he gently nosed the large barrel of apples towards the little female.

Saekath hissed, her tail lashing violently, as the brown noticed them, stiffening. Even though the fully grown male was so much larger than Saekath, the Lion Topaz would not hesitate to attack him, should he prove difficult. At his rider's words, however, the brown calmed, and Saekath's tail reduced to a frantic twitching. Iro'ris was grateful for that. He hadn't quite mastered how to control the Topaz yet, and he didn't want to see her harmed.
He was surprised when the woman saluted him, and he fumbled to salute her back. Was this what it was going to be like with regular riders? Were they going to automatically accept him as a leader simply because of the colour of Saekath's hide? How... odd. Shaking his head, he smiled. "I doubt any dragon would deny Saekath," he responded, grinning. He wasn't sure he would make a good leader. But he had his Lion Queen, and would do his best to be perfect for her!
I am Saekath. The pleasure to meet you is mine, Guarzimuth.
Iro'ris grinned. She was being as regal as ever! I thank you for sharing your most interesting snack! Snaking her neck around, she took an apple in her jaws daintily before biting into it. Shocked, she jumped back, and batted at the apple that had dropped from her jaws. What is this?!" She cried. It does not bleed, but... cries? She took another bite, carefully, her eyes showing tints of yellow. Iro'ris couldn't help himself. He broke into a fit of laughter. "It's not meat, Sae! It's fruit. No blood!" Holding his sides, practically wheezing from laughing so hard, he almost got smacked by one of the topaz's large paws. Thankfully he moved in time, but stumbled into Pandora. Righting himself, he held out his hands in submission. "Sorry, sorry! I'm uh. I'm Iro'ris, and that's Saekath?" He offered, hoping like hell she wasn't mad and about to murder him or something. Pandora raised an eyebrow as the man attempted to salute her back, apparently he didn’t have much training when it came to addressing royals, as Guarximuth called them. Or was it just her that had been trained to do that? She glanced sideways at her brown as the thought passed through her mind. He turned his large head and fixed an amused, swirling eye on her and snorted at her thoughts. Once again he had her rubbing at her temples. She quickly turned her attention back to the rider that was standing in front of her when she heard him speaking to her again, which gave Guarximuth an excuse to turn his head back to the young topaz. He crooned softly, sweetly, at her words. He didn’t have much interaction with the queens of the Weyr, and looked at this as a great learning opportunity.
Guarximuth shook his head and snorted, surprised at Saekath’s outburst about the apple. He had never thought about the juices the apples released once one bit into them, he had always liked them and had never really had a problem with it. Pandora couldn’t help but sigh softly at the poor topaz. I apologize for not giving you a warning about that. I guess I had never really thought about how strange it must be to be so used to meat and blood that experiencing an apple for the first might come as a bit of a shock. Guarximuth has always liked fruits. I truly am sorry. Pandora felt rather guilty about Saekath’s shock, and wondered how she could ever make it up to the two of them, though the man didn’t seem to feel so bad about it. But then the topaz took a swipe at her rider, which, in turn, made him jump into her.
I’m Pandora, this is my brown Guarximuth. Pandora patted the brown’s side as she spoke. Guarximuth turned his head and nodded it at Iro’ris as his rider introduced them. She had calmed down quite a bit since she had first impressed to the brown. Before she might have murdered Iro’ris for bumping into her like that, but now she had calmed down quite considerably, but that didn’t mean that she had completely lost her temper. No, it just meant that she had learned to control it better than she had before. I apologize as well young Queen Saekath, I was not aware that thee had never eaten fruit before. His deep, booming voice was apologetic as he spoke to the young topaz. He wasn’t really sure what to do, so he did the first thing that came to his mind, he ate some apples.
