Anatomy: Whers are much smaller than their dragon cousins. Being less gracefully designed as well, they have rougher and lumpier hides. Their eyes are also very sensitive to light, which gives them excellent night vision, but renders them useless during the day. An adult gold wher is approximately the size of a newly hatched gold dragon.
Lifestyle: Impression : Whers bond through a strange mix of mental and physical feelings, often with the help of their mother, who matches them to a chosen handler based on their personality and thoughts before hatching. However, it is not uncommon for Wher eggs to be sold to whoever can afford them. Upon breaking the shell, the wher will either demand blood, or cut their handler themselves, and will then name themselves.
Names : All wher's names end in -sk, with their names being from the bonded's upon hatching and bonding. An example of this is that, if the candidate's name was Tirue, upon impression, the wher would say that its name was Tirusk.
Intelligence : Whers are not the most intelligent species, though neither are they the slowest. They speak in simple sentences, rarely above that of a young child, and some prefer to 'speak' only through thought-images rather than words. **Whers ALWAYS speak in third person, referring to themselves by their own name.
Some examples are as follows. This shows general ability to talk as well as some personality traits with different colors.
Goldsk quite content. Would Goldsk'sGold like to go out and play today? Topazsk is also okay. Topazsk'sTopaz bring Topazsk to play now! Obsidiansk is fine. Obsidiansk'sObsidian come with Obsidiansk? Bronzesk good. Bronzesk'sBronze want to play now? Brownsk fine. Brownsk'sBrown come now. Ebonysk feel good! Ebonysk go play! Bluesk great, Bluesk sleep though. Amethysk not remember how Amethysk is...play anyway? Greensk happy, Greensk run! Whitesk is doing well, Whitesk wants to go out now.
Mating/Clutching: Whers mate similarly to dragons. Instead of flying however, a female will start a run. It is during this run, which is at night, that the males will try to impress or catch a female. Once a female chooses or is caught by her partner, the male generally will defend her from the other males by "fighting" them off. Basically, this is done by both female and her winner scaring the other chasers away. Both greens and golds clutch for whers, as do several of the newly seen colors. Not all hold hatchlings though, due to infertility rating being higher in whers, many eggs end up duds.
Eye colors: blue/green = contentment or happiness yellow = fear or alert orange/red = anger red = hunger white = danger gray = pain purple = love/mating lust
