Kinurninth turned her lone egg gently, the faint shine of the cyan shell reflecting on the sand from the opening in the cavern above. The sun was shining for once, though it would soon turn dark from storm clouds again. It was Summer, and Summer meant the rainy season, which meant that Rukbat shining for long was never a commonly seen thing. Taking in a deep breath, the amethyst turned her head to the lighter, pink hued dragoness nearby who was tending to her own clutch of two. Just as quietly the young dragon turned to the other way and looked over toward the other two females and subtly the same look was passed between them all.
It was time.
There was nothing else that they needed to discuss, the mothers instinctively new what was needed of them. Their eggs were hard enough for gentle hands to touch the shells, and the candidates needed to meet their prospective lifemates. Six eggs, six possible dragonets, that was what the four fighters had come up with. Six eggs, not to shabby for a few females that were pegged for only firestone breathers. Well, this would certainly show them. Though who the them were, Kinurninth wasn't quite sure about. After all, she was content to just simply have Hers and her egg.
That didn't mean that the eggs didn't need attention right now though. Oh no, anyone who was not bonded was a potential candidate as far as the rebellion was concerned, no searching was needed. After all, with so few, any capable rider to be was seen as a gift. In fact, that was why the nearby village had decided to host a Gather soon, in honor of the first clutch as well as the graduation of the weyrlings that had taken refuge among the rebel mountains. Not that they were to that point yet, oh no the gather was still a sevenday away more or less. Probably less, that's what the amethyst thought to herself as she reached out her mind in rejoice along with the other three.
Come, come all! Come and see our eggs!
(Ooc: Alright, so the picture with the eggs and which belongs to which mother is below. Since there are so few let's only do one egg per post and try to get them all in. If we see we need to move it along a little faster then we'll do two eggs per post. Below are the members that will be in charge of rping the egg responses.
Abyrath's Eggs- Twitch Kinurninth Egg, Aphath's Eggs- Wish Capelth's Eggs- Elessar)
From Left to Right-Front Row: Aphath's 1st Egg, Aphath's 2nd Egg, Kinurninth's Egg, Abyrath's 1st Egg
From Left to Right-Back Row: Capelth's 1st Egg, Capelth's 2nd Egg, Abyrath's 2nd Egg

Mokiro smiled at the sunlight that was currently shining down on the Rebellion. He knew it would be raining again, but that didn’t do much to dampen the happy smile that spread his lips as he made his way to the hatching sands. The news that it was time for the touching had brightened his mood, and had pushed all thoughts about the gloomy weather from his mind. He bowed to each of the four mothers when he entered. Greetings proud mothers, I home that you may honor me by letting me touch your eggs. Oh yes, he was attempting to flatter this fighter females. Hey, no one ever said he wasn’t a suck up. He made sure he had the approval of the mothers before moving around to touch his very first ever egg. He was practically dripping with excitement.
Mokiro made sure to be extremely careful as he knelt next to the first egg that had caught his eye. It was probably the smallest egg of the entire clutch, but he liked the way Kinurninth’s cyan colored egg looked sitting in the sand. He gently ran his fingertips over the shell, wondering just what might lay hidden within. You might be small but I know that big things come in small packages. He smiled as he whispered quietly to the little egg, not really sure if there even was a dragonet inside. Well it never hurt to try, after all, whatever might lay inside this little egg might one day be the dragon he had always dreamed of impressing. Even now there were pictures of him and a large, powerful male dragon flying through the skies, flashing through his mind.

The tiny amethyst nosed her now hard-shelled eggs, flicking her tail across Ka'mond's leg. It is time, mine. The boy was puzzled for a bit, looking at the eggs with a smile. Come and see my clutch! Come all, no matter age, rank or appearance. Whether you are weak or dumb or disabled... I want everyone to come and pay me a visit! Do not disappoint me! This is a fun day, funfun! Time to touch my little eggs! Abyrath was singing her words for all to hear, shouting it near and far. Ka'mond stood, and dusted the sand off of himself. Hopefully, people would visit.
---
Here is Abyrath's clutch!! Enjoy and when touching I will post the egg's reaction. Make sure I know which you touch!! :3
Eggs- Scale Beast Egg ;; Rough and odd to texture. The largest of the clutch. The shell has a deep green and blue rippling image. This egg is gingerly snuggled near Abyrath's chest but not dangerous. Abyrath would not hurt you.
Inky Tears Egg ;; This egg is quite weird, mis-shaped and...wrong. Pale watery blacks and Grey's lace this surface.

Roxikanta had promised. She kept promises. "Ok, Aristide go on. Straight from this point is the eggs. Just don't cause trouble, or I'll send my garnet after you." Oh oh! To play with him? That would be fuuuun! She chuckled, worried but oddly... excited. Go Aristide!

Zexx had accompanied Aristide as far as the entrance to the hatching sands, though he let Rox lead the way. He wasn't sure if the clutchmothers would like a canine on the sands, though, even one as well-behaved as Zexx; there were just too many to take into account, so he told the canine to wait outside, and then he followed Rox inside. "Thanks," he told her, entirely sincere. "And thank you to the clutchmothers as well, for allowing me inside," he added in a slightly louder voice, with a bow in the general direction of the clutches.
He reached out, very slowly, trying not to move so fast that he might damage an egg, and he finally felt the curve of a shell under his hand. It was a little hard to tell, but this one seemed odd, perhaps even misshapen. As he touched the Inky Tears Egg, he frowned slightly. "Rox...can you tell me whose egg this is?"

It wasn't Roxikanta's voice that answered. That would be mine, Abyrath. The amethyst was too excited, maybe even prideful to stay quiet. Her head peered down at the boy. You see with your hands. You.... feel. That is so neat! Aby, leave the poor boy alone. Don't scare him. He is trying to be sneaky.
Abyrath watched curiously, tail twitching slightly.
Inky Tears Egg;; The touch was like a caress the echoed, making the egg seem so... hollow. It was a void, niether cold or warm. Pleasent or bad. It was... almost nothing. But a soft wisp of a mind pressed against Arstide, meek and slow until... it could search. Blind, but a dear heart.. The egg felt the same way. It could not see nor hear... only... by the boy's touch could the egg feel... alive.
Neutral. Gentle. Nothing grand or pitiful. It offered a mystery, a riddle unanswered before fading, leaving a faint echo behind.
-- Roxikanta smiled. She'd help when she could, using Auerosth's mind...perhaps?

Aristide didn't feel much of anything from the egg at first, but he smiled at Abyrath's voice. Some of these rebel dragons seemed to be quite chatty. "Thank you, Abyrath." He was startled when the egg seemed to respond to his touch after all. It was weak, and quiet, but there all the same. It soon faded away, though, and at last Aristide moved on as well.
Neither Kaleo or Regal had accompanied him today--pets were typically frowned upon in the Hatching Sands. It was still pretty easy for him to make contact with the Scale Beast Egg, though. It was the largest of the clutch, after all, and had a curiously rough shell. "You seem to have some fine eggs here," he said to the clutchmother.

Abyrath purred, or rather, crooned. She shared a glance with Ka'mond happily.
Scale Beast Egg;; Oh! A touch. Something stirred. Awakened. The monster moved. It did not mean uncomfort or to be rude as its mind forced into Arstide's. Quite interesting. Hmm... should the animal play alittle? Images bubbled to the surface, not much to really see, as these were blind eyes. Nothing impressive, but nothing to dislike. Unlike its clutch-sibling this egg was much more of a coarse character...
Roxikanta was smiling. So far so good right? She hoped...

Innocent Light Egg
There was someone touching it. Someone...touching it. Yes, someone touching it. Hmmr, how interesting. This person thought that this tiny space was a grand space? Funny. So very funny. Yes....Hmmr, funny. The person was still touching it, still here...ah, no now they were gone.

Hmm, curious, this egg felt very different from the other one, even if they'd come from the same dragon. It was much more...forceful was probably the best word, but not necessarily in a bad way. He gave the large egg a final stroke, wondering what would hatch from it one day, and reluctantly stepped away from Abyrath's clutch.
Capelth had been watching Aristide fawn over Abyrath's eggs, so she decided it was time for him to fawn over her duo as well. She snorted impatiently, reaching over with her muzzle to touch his shoulder, nudging him toward her clutch. Aristide gave a small laugh, relieved that he wasn't having any problems with the clutchmothers so far. He reached out to touch Capelth's first egg. "I'm sure your eggs are every bit as fine as Abyrath's."

Jallis had been feeding Pria when the call came that they were allowed to look at the eggs. She froze, at first, part of her not wanting to go. What if she got there and something went wrong? Eager as she was to join the rebellion, there was a part of her that kept pointing out that she had no connection to dragons. Certainly none of the unusual ones. She'd known a bronze, growing up, but... well, she wasn't exactly steeped in dragonkind.
Pria nipped at her finger, giving her an irritated look as Jallis winced and pulled away the finger with its tiny drop of blood on the tip. She stuck her fingertip in her mouth, tongue brushing away the blood as she considered the white. Hard to say if the flitt was irritated at her having stopped offering new food or if it was insult at not being counted as dragonkind.
Jallis offered another little bit of meat to the white, who instantly looked friendly again. Guess that answers that question... Still, it would be silly not to go. She was a Candidate! Right? Right. And anyway, it sounded like the females just wanted an audience, not necessarily someone guaranteed to Impress.
She got to her feet, trying to brush back thoughts of not being worthy or well-suited, and headed for the door. Pria finished up her food and then jumped off the table, gliding to the ground and running after her owner.
By the time Jallis reached the Sands, the white was once more on her shoulder, claws firmly latched into the leather patch Jallis had introduced to her jacket for just this purpose. Jallis walked into the cavern softly, as if treading too loud or strong might have her eaten.
She looked at the four mothers, four times as terrifying as a single queen would be. Pria had none of Jallis' shyness and seemed irritated when they didn't stride straight up to an egg and start petting it. She chirped in frustration, then nipped at Jallis' earlobe when the Candidate remained still.
Jallis took a careful step forward, eyeing Aphath as she approached her 2nd egg. "Your eggs are all very beautiful." She spoke to all females, then specifically to Aphath as she took another small step and reached out a few fingers to stroke the red and orange shell. "This one looks like fire." She ran her fingers lightly down the hard surface, some of her anxiety easing up as she got caught up in how pretty the egg was.
