Abyrath was happily sun-bathing, hide sleekly oiled. Ka'mond sat against a purple, outstretched foreleg, watching the world. The air was crisp, tinged with chill and of autumn. The breeze was stiff as it shifted around the pair.
I think I shall catch my dinner.... [/color] The words were soft, as if the idea of herdbeasts reminded the amethyst of... something lost but never forgotten. Silence answered the unvoiced cry, Braymoth & Yufa......
Abyrath shuffled, gingerly nosing Hers from her leg. Then with her wings stretched open, she took off toward her meal. The prey screamed at her shadow, causing her to flinch. She hesitated mid-wing stroke, drooping a pace. She made a robotic descent, failing to hide the mistake.
Beasts scattered, but Abyrath was so much faster. An easy snap of her jaws broke the leg of an elder male, tail making a quick whip across the back. One last wail, and Abyrath stared into the fading eyes. Braymoth....... Yufa.... I miss you. We both miss you. Perhaps you are at peace... Rest dear BloodKing. How I wish I could have pleased you..
Teeth tore a piece of neck, tongue catching the blood. Scarlet dripped down a purple maw, the gore unnoticed. The meal was quiet, solitude it seemed.
Abyrath snapped her head upright, trying to paw blood off of her snout. She sensed... another. Perhaps she could dine with company?
