She lies My Lady....she lies. Can't you see? I'm the one that is real, not her. She's the part of your imagination, I'm here. I'm always here.
It wouldn't leave. No matter how hard she tried, it just wouldn't leave. Pulling her head under water, Inali held her breath, waiting for the voice to stop. She just wanted it to go away. How could I go away LiliMine? How could I leave my rider? There was no way that the voice could be real, and yet there it was still in her head. Fighting the burning sensation in her lungs, Inali closed her eyes tighter, willing it to stop. I will never stop. You are mine Inali...oh, My Lady...my LiliMine. I will never, ever stop.
Crying out, Inali thrashed as she felt something sharp latch onto her arm, her body dragging toward the surface of the bath water. At first she didn't hear anything, her body wracking in a fit of coughs as her lungs worked to expel the water she had taken in. It hurt. Shardit, it hurt! Clutching her chest, the woman shivered, bowed down with her hands resting on the ground holding her up, her mouth open and gasping at the air that ravaged its way down her sore throat and windpipe.
HOW DARE YOU?!?!
Flicking her eyes toward the sound of the scream, Inali groaned, dropping her head between her arms again. Rudith was there, red and yellow eyes swirling in her bright green head. How COULD you? The dragonet was hissing, seething in fury as she stared at her rider, demanding an answer when none came. It hadn't been the first time that the green had almost lost Hers to that terrible thing in Inali's head. Keening softly, the young green nuzzled Inali's hand, lapping at the blood that ran down from the puncture wound the dragonet's jaws had made.
You wouldn't come out to breath...you're not a fish Little One.
No, I'm not...that's kind of the point.
