A part of her couldn't believe she was doing this. It was probably stupid, and she could foresee herself either being kicked out, or put into a situation she didn't like. Even so, Nymari couldn't stop her feet from carrying her up to a weyr she knew too well for her own comfort, two skins clasped tightly in her hands. Don't worry, I'll be there to yank you off the ledge if you need me, NymMine! I'll be your hero. The pink dragon was lounging lazily on his own ledge, and had even offered to carry Nymari up to the other ledge, but the girl needed a chance to work up herself up to this.
Stopping outside of the weyr, she questioned once more whether this was a good idea or not but.. well shards and shells she wasn't going to let the man's perverted tendencies get in the way of some good old fashioned celebrating! Pushing open the door, she forgot to knock first, giving the man inside no time to finish whatever he may or may not be up to or invite her in. After all, why would K'dri ever deny her a visit? She didn't even give a chance to find out if he was home or not, simply waltzing in, head held high and proud as if she owned the place.
"Oi old man! I hope you like wine and cards! I think we're due for a celebration." She called out. After all, with Noita gone, change was going to (hopefully) happen and rumor had it there would be a meeting soon to discuss the changes. It wasn't much yet, but it was a start; they had succeeded in driving away Noita at least!

Noita was gone. It was somewhat of a miracle, really, that she and (most of) the high ranking members of the Rebellion had simply up and disappeared. K'dri still couldn't quite figured out what had gone on that night, but it didn't matter.
Things were moving on.
Sitting on the floor, his legs crossed indian style, he cradled a gitar in the crook of his arm. He wasn't a Harper, nor had he ever been trained, but K'dri was the kind of man that always enjoyed learning new things, and so he took it upon himself to learn whatever he could. Teaching himself to play gitar was a bit of a challenge, but he relished the accomplishment that came when he could actually play.
Bare-chested with his feet bare as well, he let his fingers lightly dance across the strings, until his door bursting open startled him into a standing position. "Nymari!" He breathed, blue eyes wide in shock. "Haven't you ever heard of knocking?!" Myth rumbled a draconic laugh in his mind. For her, you do not mind, Mine. Stop pretending.
K'dri knew that the blue had let his thoughts project into Nymari's mind as well, so the man let himself (slowly) relax. When he spotted the wine and cards in the girl's hand, he smiled. "Wine and cards? I enjoy both, and you as well." He shook his head, "And I'm not that old!" Liar. K'dri sighed. That was the problem with dragons... they were always in your business, especially when the business was love.

Well that was the last thing she had been expecting. Not that she had ever really thought about what K'dri did in the privacy of his own weyr of course... she had assumed he would be doing work or practicing his knife play or... something. She blinked, staring at K'dri with a combination of curiosity and slight embarassment as she took in his appearance. Why did he always have to flaunt just how good looking he was!? She shook her head as Myth's voice reached her, and decided it would be safest to pretend she hadn't heard, though she didn't doubt K'dri would know she had heard anyways.
"Heard of it, but where would the fun be in knocking? This way I get to test your reflexes and make sure you aren't getting too slow in your old age!" She was teasing, of course. She knew he wasn't that old, but the idea always seemed to get under his skin and Nym found no reason not to take advantage of that. Grinning cheekily, she stepped farther into the weyr, well aware because of Myth's words that she was, more or less, invited in.
"Keep your perverted comments to yourself old man, my innocent young ears want nothing to do with it." She sat near him, far enough to be just out of his reach and tossed the wineskin and cards down next to him. The movement caused her shirt to ride up over the bump of her belly, which she promptly yanked back down. She couldn't afford bigger shirts yet, and had decided to wait until she was a bit bigger before purchasing something large enough to cover her belly.
"So..." She paused, flushing slightly, "You can play?" Though she didn't outright ask, Nym really wanted to hear it, even if only for a moment. She lifted her own skin to her lips and drank, pouting slightly at the juice; after all, she couldn't drink wine for the baby's sake.

She looked curious. K'dri couldn't help but be glad that he had, once again, caught her off guard. The man grinned. He noted that Nymari was eyeing him, and his smile grew. She shook her head, and he was interested to note that she ignored Myth's voice, pretending she hadn't heard.
"Please," he countered. "This way you get to make sure I'm not with some other woman while you're away." He winked, and caught the skin she tossed him with one hand. "Tossing wine-skins is the way to test my reflexes and make sure I'm not getting slow. But please, humor me. You know you're the only woman I want."
She had asked him to keep his comments to himself, but of course he wouldn't. He never did. The rider was satisfied to see that her movements caused her shirt to rise, revealing the bump of her stomach where their child was residing inside her. He briefly wondered if it was a boy or a girl, but shook his head as Nymari asked him a question.
"Yes," he murmured. "I can play." Scooting himself closer to Nymari, he laid his hand palm-down across her growing stomach before moving to cradle the gitar. His fingers moved slowly across the strings, letting the melody fill the air. He had slowed the song, to make it sound more like a lullaby more than anything.
"By the Golden Egg of Faranth By the Weyrwoman, wise and true, Breed a flight of bronze and brown wings, Breed a flight of green and blue. Breed riders, strong and daring, Dragon-loving, born as hatched, Flight of hundreds soaring skyward, Man and dragon fully matched."
His eyes closed as he played, letting the music flow over him and the woman he so obviously loved, as well as their unborn child. No doubt Nymari would be confused at how gentle he could be, and how soft and caring his voice was as he sung. Hell, she'd probably be confused that he could sing. But for her, he could do anything.

Cheeky bastard. That was all Nymari could think as she watched his smile grow larger with each passing moment. He took way too much joy out of messing with her, he always had, and sometimes she wished he would grow bored of it. Then again, she couldn't deny that sometimes she liked it. Sometimes...
"Maybe I just wanted to see you live up to your claims. You did say you always brought pretty girls home with you. Losing your touch or am I that good at warning all the ladies of how dangerous you are?" Was that a flash of defensiveness in her eyes? Like she didn't really like the idea of walking in on him with another woman? Was it the idea of K'dri being with someone else, or just that she didn't want the visual?
As he continued teasing her, she couldn't stop the flush that K'dri always seemed able to draw out. Stupid sharding old man! He needed to stop making fun of her like that! She was annoyed and flustered enough to jump and grab his hand when he laid it across her stomach, but after a moment her grip loosened and she left her hand covering his on her stomach.
"I'll have you know this pregnancy thing sucks. I don't know why anyone would willingly subject themselves to it." She frowned in thought. Between morning sickness and just the overall drain of a second life on her body, Nym had been feeling far from one hundred percent lately. Not to mention her stamina and overall energy levels had dropped. She felt... she wasn't sure how she felt. Weak, perhaps. He had slipped his hand away then, to begin playing and Nym found her eyes widening in surprise before drifting shut to fully enjoy the sounds.
"I didn't... expected such a soft sound." She admitted, pulling her legs up and tucking her head into her arms. As amazed as she was that K'dri could play, much less sing with such a beautiful voice, she knew not to drop her guard too much. She wasn't going to let him kiss her this time! "You could... ah... charm all the ladies with a voice like that." Her face sunk into her arms a little more to hide her blush.

He was angering her. He could tell. She didn't like it when he teased her... well, most of the time she didn't like it. Sometimes... sometimes he broke through, and she gave in, and she did enjoy his teasing, but that was a rare day when she did.
K'dri grinned. "I haven't lost my touch, dearest Nymari, nor have you scared off my suitors. I simply choose not to sleep with any other woman but you." He noted the flash in her eyes, and he was a bit surprised. The rider couldn't tell if she just didn't want to think about sex in general, or if she was genuinely upset to imagine walking in on him with another woman.
He was startled at her grip, but relieved when she let go and left his hand on her slowly-growing belly. He should have known better to just move toward her like that. For all he knew, she could have stabbed him. Regardless, she let him rest his hand there... on their child.
At her frown, he laughed. "I'm certainly glad I don't have to go through it," he confessed. It didn't sound at all pleasant. With the child sapping away Nymari's energy, he was surprised she had bounced in with as much enthusiasm as she had. Then again... Noita was gone, and that was certainly something to bounce around about.
When he finished playing, she curled up into herself, her face sinking into her arms to hide a blush. K'dri set the gitar aside, and gently slid his fingers under her chin, to raise her eyes to meet his. "Are you really so afraid of me kissing you, Nymari? Are you really so afraid of us?"

"You make it sound like we sleep together often." She replied, unable to meet his eyes as she said it. Really, couldn't he have humored her and played along? Why did he have to go and make her feel so awkward... It had happened only because of a flight. She would never have done it otherwise... maybe... possibly. She blushed darker. This was definitely a bad idea.
"I wish you had to go through it. It's mostly your fault after all." She joked, finally admitting out loud that she knew she was at fault as well. It was a small step, but a step nonetheless. At least she acknowledged now that for that brief night, she had wanted him as much as he wanted her. Sure, flightlust had played a big part in it, but her own attraction had to have been there for her to kiss him in the first place.
As K'dri's fingers forced her to look up at him, she stared in defiance. It was clear, as always, that she wouldn't hesitate to give him another black eye if he tried anything. Yet, something pulled at her, and before she realized what she was doing, her hand was pressed against his chest, gently trying to push him to the ground as she brought her lips close to his ear.
"No..." She spoke so quietly that it was almost a whisper. "I'm afraid of liking it."

He chuckled. Of course, there had only been that one night, under the influence of flightlust... but he had known since before then that she was the only woman he wanted. K'dri noted that she didn't meet his eyes, and that her blush darkened. Nymari should known by now that the man noticed everything.
K'dri grinned at her joke. "Mostly my fault, but not all," he pointed out. She was slowly making progress, which was nice. Until now, she hadn't even acknowledged that the night had ever really happened, or that she had wanted him as much as he had wanted her. She was closed off, but suddenly... something changed.
She stared at him, stubborn as always, but there was something in her eyes that told him to wait, not to move. Staying perfectly still, the man was rather shocked as Nymari placed her hand against his chest, gently pushing him to the ground. Her whisper in his ear made him shudder slightly in anticipation.
His back against the rough floor of his personal weyr, K'dri pulled Nymari gently onto him, his blue eyes cautious. "There's nothing to be afraid of," he whispered into her ear. They were so close... The bare skin of her exposed belly was pressed up against his bare chest.
He wanted so desperately to reassure her that she didn't need to be afraid... but he didn't speak. He waited. The cards were in her hands now, and he wasn't going to mess this one up.

She felt the shudder run through him, and though she tried she couldn't stop her own body from doing the same as she felt the warmth of flesh on flesh, and heard the low sound of his voice in her ear. SHards she had done something stupid! How was she going to get out of this one without attempting to knock the man out? She buried her face into the crook of his neck as her hands pressed against his chest nervously.
Then, as if struck by a bolt of lightning, she shot up, face redder than ever before and a look of surprise on her face, as if what she had done had finally dawned on her. Looking down at him, waiting underneath her, made her embarassment that much worse. There was no denying, with the way she quickl swept her eyes over him, that the sight of him beneath her was something she rather liked. Her eyes moved back to his face quickly, not wanting to give him the benefit of knowing she liked anything.
"Plenty to be afraid of. Knives for one." He had told her when they first met that she had no reason to trust him. But, fool that she was, she trusted him with her life, at least when it came to anything that didn't involve their... relationship. Quickly, her eyes searching for any means of escape, her attention landed on the skins.
"I-I'm here to celebrate, not to make out. So... we should celebrate." Wow Nym, she told herself, Real smooth. Of course, she didn't realize that by mentioning the idea of making out she was practically confirming that it had crossed her mind.

Her body responded to his instantly, and K'dri felt himself becoming aroused. Nymari, however, was panicing. It was obvious to him even before she buried her face into the crook of his neck, her hands nervous on his chest. He could see in every line of her body that she was about to bolt.
She sat up suddenly, as he expected. She was a bright red, and he noted that her eyes swept over his half-naked form before they focused again on his face. She was pretending like she hadn't looked, trying to fool him, but again... she should know by now that he noticed everything. It was how he had stayed alive all these years.
"Nymari..." He murmured. "I don't have any knives on me, or within reach," he whispered. She was still straddling him, but she was looking for a way out. When she slipped up by mentioning kissing, he knew he wasn't going to let her have a way out.
Propping himself on his elbows, he tugged her gently down. "You shouldn't be drinking anyway," he murmured into her ear, breath hot against her skin. "And besides... kissing is so much more fun." Gently, he let his lips touch her neck before they moved to her lips, his hands placed softly on her hips.

She needed to learn how to do what K'dri could do. Sure, she had some skill when it came to reading body language, but K'dri always seemed to know what she was about to do, what she was about to think, before she herself had figured it out. It was unnerving and, frankly, annoying, since it meant she could never just get out of things once K'dri had decided he wanted something.
"THat's.. shocking." Nymari admitted, surprised that he would let his guard down that much in his weyr, though no doubt his knives were not as far away as he said they were. The man was like herself in that respect; he wouldn't leave himself completely unarmed. She inhaled deeply as he pulled her down, another shudder running down her spine as his breath tickled her skin.
"Mine's juice." She mumbled back, gasping lightly as the kiss to her neck sent a stab of pleasure through her. Shard it all, how was she supposed to fight him when he always knew exactly what to do? As his lips pressed against hers she fought back, pushing him the rest of the way to the ground as she pulled back.
She waited for a brief moment, staring down at K'dri with a look of annoyance and surprise, before her gaze hardened. Fine. There was no escaping him, so she would have to beat him at his own game, do things on her terms. Something that was likely easier said than done. Either way, with that decision on mind, she threw herself forward, pressed her lips against his and slid her tongue between his lips. She would leave him shocked and breathless and escape... yeah! That was a good plan, nothing could possibly go wrong.
