Name Tarin
Pronunciation *Tear-in*
Age 23 turns
Season Born in Summer
Gender Female
Sexuality Bisexual, Female preference
Appearance *taking and adapting from my character on another site*Tarin could be called pretty by some. She has white blonde hair that darkens more in some places, the hair has been allowed to fall past her shoulders and around her chest and back in loose waves. She has somewhat tanned skin, and an angular face with bright green eyes, and are set in her skill as a more natural oval shape. Add a spray of freckles from all her time in the sun, a proud nose, and lips that are just full enough to make Tarin happy and you have her completed face.
Her body however doesn’t hold so much feminine appeal. Being on the shorter side, Tarin is 5ft 4 in and built like a runner. She’s stick thin and has a nearly complete absence of curves. However, her limbs are strong from working with her wher. Those same limbs are long, especially her legs, so from afar someone may think she’s taller than she is.
As for clothes, if anyone tries to put Tarin in a dress or skirt, they’re as good as dead. This handler wants pants; worn out and littered with grass stains and patch up jobs....or on occasion a very long tunic and no pants when she's just lounging around her room. Anything else besides this is absolutely unacceptable. Tarin also prefers soft shirts and even vests to peasant tops or blouses. Her favorite color to wear is blue, but she’ll take anything else really. Tarin isn’t one to be too picky about what she wears, if it’s not excessively girly, she’s fine.
Personality *taking and adapting from my character on another site*One of the most noticeable things about Tarin is the way she talks. She cuts to the chase usually in casual conversation, either by simply staying out of the way and observing others talk, or saying what needs to be said and only that. She is blunt in this way, even refusing to sugarcoat her words or cushion a blow. When it comes to group activities where someone has to be a leader, she is more than happy to let someone else rise to the top and do whatever she has been told to do, not that she will not have her own opinions about it. However, if no one else rises to the challenge then she will, although at times it is accompanied by a decent helping of grumpiness, take charge. In this case, time is money and there is precious little of it.
In more day-to-day conversations, or whenever she is trying to flirt with someone, Tarin tends to still be blunt and forward, but does not have quite as much sarcasm or “snap” to her voice. She will joke around and act the part of the jester to get a reaction from her current interest, and nothing makes her happier than just simply being in a group. She’s an incredibly social creature, she just doesn’t have to be the life of that party. In some ways, she prefers not to and just likes to watch everyone else. It’s almost as if she’s the one person in the back of the room that will stay quiet until the perfect time, shout out some random comment to make the crowd laugh, and then go back to who knows what they were doing before. Essentially, that is Tarin on the surface.
The young woman does not tend to be too judgmental either. Opinions change with whomever you talk to, and because of this belief, she does not take much interest in gossip apart from sarcastically ridiculing it. However, a person’s character still is important to Tarin. The girl will be okay with you on two conditions, it does not even matter what you have done in your life up until the point of meeting her. The first is that you allow your own actions to show who you are instead of allowing others to dictate what they want you to be. This, meaning that Tarin much prefers someone who does not follow the mandates of someone else just to please people, rather than see someone who blindly follows whatever someone tells them to be. The second is that if you have done something wrong, you own up to it. Little will get Tarin truly angry, but this is one of them. You can lie, steal, cheat, whatever, she does not care. The one thing you cannot do is be unable to admit to it.
Tarin is certainly not without her own fears and issues, other than having a tendency toward sarcasm and serial flirting. She will be the first to tell you that she hates being committed to anything. The idea of caring that much about anything, especially another living being, terrifies her now, and the girl will admit it up and down until she is out of breath to say so. That does not mean it fixes anything though. Despite her flirty nature and love of being around people, she will not allow anyone to get truly close to her. She will laugh, she will smile, but most of the time it is a mask. No one wants to be the one to ruin everyone’s fun, at least that is what Tarin believes, and she especially will not allow herself to be that person. Therefore, it does not matter if Tarin is thinking the most pessimistic of thoughts; she will still say the opposite. The only way to tell, is that she generally cannot help the remark from sounding sarcastic, but hey that is what most of the things she says sound like.
The whole reason for this is not the paranoia of being refused or unaccepted however as much as it is just bitterness. She hates being close to other because of what has happened before, and she doesn't care enough to try anymore with anyone. It would take someone very persistent and crafty to get her to look at a relationship in a decent light again. Not to mention since it goes to just about everything she does, Tarin all in all can't keep up with her desires to try new things.
Tarin enjoys taking risks and attaching herself to new ideas and groups. She wants to try a little of everything to understand it all, or that’s what she will tell anyone who asks. Really, it’s just because she gets bored easily with what she does at that time. It is mainly because she is so uncomfortable with letting anything get close to her; she keeps herself from truly attaching her feelings. It does not matter if it is a person, organization, sometimes-even ideals will become easily switched out for newer, more interesting ones. She likes to think herself free-spirited, a go with the flow sort of person. Many that have met her before just say that she is indecisive and scared below everything.

History Tarin was born into a wher family. Her mother bonded to a green, her father a brown. It was happy-happy joy, joy times.....no really it was. Tarin was actually a pleasant and sweet young girl, terribly shy at times and overly friendly at others. Everything in her life was perfect, and she was the "Little Queen" her parents could never see wrong in. Some may say the girl was even spoiled, though she never acted like it. As she aged however, Tarin caused her own problems.
Her sweet little heart caught the eye of a young man, they fell in love, and in the end he dropped her for someone "prettier". Tarin was 16 at the time, and for her it was the worst possible thing that could ever happen. Add in the fact that her parents started fighting and eventually separated as well, and you have a young girl who fears relationships because she's thinks they're false. At that same time, Tarin stood for her 8th clutch, and finally bonded to a green wher named Task.
The pair seemed to stick together more than most of the handlers and wherets in her class, both providing the only sort of friendship they needed. Through the turns Tarin's outlook on life only became more and more bitter and mistrusting, and she even had a falling out with the dragonriders when she let one into her heart only to loose her to someone else yet again. By the time she was 23, Tarin cursed relationships in general, and most other things she had to commit to. The fact that she had been put in charge of the wherlings and hatchings didn't help matters either.
WherName Task
Pronunciation as it looks
Age 7 turns
Type Wher
Rank Green
Size 4.5 feet
Color Codes {2F4F2F}Appearance Task is, in a word, thin. If you took a normal Wher's shape, elongated it, and then didn't let her eat for a few sevendays, you'd get her body type. It's awkward with how thin it looks sometimes, and even after a decent meal she still is alarming to the eye. However, she also has long, spindly legs and a whip-like tail. Not to mention her wings, oh Faranth those wings are the size of a Brown's almost and they are thin and claw-like in that she has little membrane in between the fingers.
Her hide is a fairly even muted green color with some darker and lighter patches along her sides and legs. They aren't light enough, or dark enough, to make it seem like she has distinctly different coloration, but enough to not call her uniform throughout. The only thing that she does have that stands out are neon green toes, nose tip, and the end of his wings.
PersonalityTask is a no nonsense sort of individual, and if you're looking for someone to cuddle you, you're not going to find it. She doesn't coddle anyone, and she's not sweet. She's tough love, learn or get left behind. If you dawdle or draw out her patience, you won't get very far because her patience is incredibly thin. The female wher will snap, snort, stomp her feet, and yes even threaten to bite when she's upset, and half the time Tarin just lets her have her way.
It's not that she's an extremely aggressive individual either, in fact she rather
not start arguments or fights. However, she just is easily irritated
Mind-voice (If applicable)Task think stupid. Task sleep now.How the voice sounds, any interesting inflections it has and the like, can be bulleted.
