It was a sad thing that K’r did not see the others reaction to his look or perhaps it would have made his failing self-esteem rise a bit. Not that he would have had any idea what to do with such awesome power.
His gaze flickered to the list, frown tugging at his lips as he opened his mouth to protest, no he was not stupid thank you very much nor was he that addled in the head from his injury. The Weyrwoman comment did make him crack a smile though, flushing a bit and muttering something about him making a strange woman, but he still eyed the list apprehensively. It seemed awfully long to him and put J’dol in a new light for him. Not that he had pegged the man as someone who lazed around completely-but he didn’t think he did that much work.
“No thanks.” He made a face at J’dol at his offer. Such negations would not go over very well if he was the one doing them. Eyes flickered over to Stripe, took note of his color and he sighed. He would have to do such things one day he was certain, especially if Stripe caught a higher up lady. He shuddered to think if he did.
Kayath’s offer surprised him. He turned a bit too fast to stare at her at her, eyes blurring as he grasped for the nearest thing to steady himself-J’dol’s thigh. Two things happened as he managed to get his center of gravity back. His stomach lurched uncomfortably, portraying that he was anything but well, and he became avidly aware that his hand was a mere inch away from J’dol’s ‘special place’. A yelp followed by a shardin awful noise that was mostly animal and perhaps squeak escaped him before he hastily took his hand back muttering apologies after apologies.
When the uncomfortable silence, allowed to grow because he held up his hand and stopped any conversation, drew on the breaking point he finally caught enough air to speak his entire face bright red and his ears roaring. Much to his displeasure Stripe was even –laughing – at him the bronze lifting his head to give a dragonic chuckle at his riders reaction.
“Don't yer dare say a word about that. It were an accident weyrlass! Struth!” Apparently he became quite the brat when he was flustered. He nearly apologized for the rather biting insulting nickname till he realized he had said sorry about fourty times in ten seconds and shut up looking helplessly at J’dol.
I think you broke Mine… Stripe spoke to all present staring worriedly at the rather dizzy and off kilter farm boy for a few minutes before he spoke once again. We would enjoy bedding down beside you Lady Kayath, but Mine is injured and can not go far, and he would need someone looking after him, would you be willing to do that? Surely you have better things to do

Suddenly everything was moving quickly. One minute, J'dol had been glaring down at his new To-Do list, and the next thing he knew there was a hand brushing teasingly close to his 'special place' and ripping from him a combination of a strangled moan and a gasp of surprise. The sound was cut short as he bit his lip, but the damage had been done; his body was reacting to the touch despite his attempts to ignore it. He stared at K'r as the man apologized and flailed desperately, his pants feeling uncomfortable now.
J'dol would have kept his mouth shut, well aware that it must have been an accident, but then K'r had to go and get all defensive and bratty about it (which J'dol had to admit both hurt and entertained him). He tried to remain silent a moment longer, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth before he finally gave in and spoke.
"Patience there babe, a couple months and you can put your hands wherever you want." Ha! That would teach the adorable fool to call him a lass! He rolled his eyes, well aware the words would probably send the poor fellow into another tizzy. "Now calm down Kyp. You accidentally getting touchy-feely is no reason to apologize. It's fine." he didn't even bother to attempt to hide the side effects of K'r's accident, there was no point in his mind.
Kayath rolled her eyes as J'dol started acting like an idiot once more. I suppose you are right. There is only so much I can do, but I can offer company. She lifted her head and glanced at her ledge. if my company is ever wanted, which of course it is, you may call me from my ledge. She wanted to help, but she was smart enough to know a healer was needed to take care of K'r. She would only be hampering his healing if she got in the way.

He opened his mouth to protest that he had not done it on purpose-and audibly shut his jaws closed a few moments of gaping like a fish. He hadn’t done it on purpose-but J’dol was J’dol after all and trying to tell him that was like trying to tell a fish he couldn’t fly. Not outright impossible but impractical never the less. He shot him at first an apologetic look that soon grew into a mixed one, part horror and part amusement.
Surprisingly he did not pass out from blushing and flailing about. He did blush of course, quite spectacularly, but he didn’t flail anymore. With a deep breathe, an almost pained look as he tried to concentrate, he lifted a hand and solemnly poked J’dol gently on the nose.
“I'm bloody well not gonna say anyfink ter yer, yer'll just twist me words 'round so woss the chuffin' point?” He tried to hide his smile but it was there as he turned his head around to watch Stripe. The little bronze, quite amused by his rider-to-be’s reaction, decided it was best to ignore what the two males were doing. Instead he lifted himself up to calmly push his head against J’dol’s chest, hard enough to press him into Kayath’s side. The punishment done he stared pointedly at the mans crotch, slowly lifted his head, shook it in a defiant ‘ah ah noo’, look before he waddled over to sit himself a hairs width away from Kayath’s nose.
Hunkering down he placed his striped muzzle against hers peering up at her with rapt attention.
It took a moment before Kyp realized what he was doing and when he did he squeaked trying to cover his giggle. Without anything better to do he hid his face against J’dol trying to stifle his snickers from the poor dragon. He of course couldn’t mind speak to J’dol, or Kayath so instead he stage whispered to his friend.
“He's tryin' ter see why I like 'er and yer so much. If 'e goes cross eyed I'm sorry. He means well truly 'e does, but tryin' ter explain ter him why some bloke is special at 'is age is like tryin' to...well, like tryin' ter tell a certain ex-farmer boy that it's not entirely terrible ter peraps like the company of men.” He opened his mouth to perhaps deny this but Banner decided now was the best time to make his entrance-again. Hunching up, tail in the air and doing his best to seem twice his size, much like a cat would, Banner swaggered over to J’dol crawling onto the man’s knee to peer fearlessly into his face. After a moment’s time he hissed, one loud annoying noise and pressed his need for food on this insolent two legger.

Watching Kyp was something that J'dol felt would never become boring. The man had a way with expressions, and with the intense blush there was never a dull moment. Shards, J'dol figured he could find hours of entertainment just watching the man's face. He was surprised to note that Kyp didn't end up flailing or protesting... while he already missed the adorable response, he couldn't help but feel glad that it wasn't affecting him too strongly anymore. It was safer for Stripe that way.
J'dol was about to make a comment a comment about how he didn't twist everything, but then K'r went and brought a finger to his nose and J'dol was torn between ignoring him, or trying to make him blush even more. Oh the things he could do... like suck on that offending finger. Oh but that was dangerous territory... perhaps he could dim it a bit, do something that might affect him, or might fly under the radar if Kyp was naive enough. Decision made, J'dol moved before Kyp had pulled his hand away.
Dropping his eyelids so that he had a sultry, almost lusty expression, he darted out his tongue and ran the tip along Kyp's finger, makign a light 'mm' sound, so quiet that Kyp might not hear if he wasn't listening. He wondered if the weyrling would catch that particular innuendo or if he'd just think J'dol was trying to gross him out. Either way, it would be entirely too entertaining he was sure, and it was enough to hopefully not bother Pastenutth much. Speaking of which, J'dol gave a light hiss as he was pressed against Kayath, letting the bronze know he got the point, though the pointed look at his crotch demanded a response.
"Oi, that's not my fault. Natural reaction I swear. And I even promise to deal with it in the privacy of my own weyr okay? Well away from your rider's innocent little eyes." He chuckled but still made no move to hide it. He had nothing to be ashamed of, and Kyp had no need to be looking there so what was the point? He cocked his head curiously, staring at the dragons as K'r planted his face into J'dol to stifle giggles. Absentmindedly, J'dol moved a hand to stroke K'r's hair, as it seemed to be an instinctive action these days.
"What in the world..." He mumbled, watching as Kayath pressed back slightly, watching Strips as he watched her. She seemed confused as well, and gave a light croon of curiosity. J'dol couldn't help but chuckle as Kyp finally filled him in. He was going to comment, going to mention that Kyp seemed to be catching on to the whole male company thing just fine, but decided against it. Instead, he decided to take the joking route. "Clearly it is because we are the most spectacular beings you have ever met." He winked then looked to Banner, surprised that the garnet was coming to him, rather than his owner.
"What, you little rascal? Can't catch any food on your own?" He grinned, hoping the flit wouldn't decide to attack him for it. He fished around in his pocket before pulling out a rather measly strip of dried meat; he normally carried around treats for the flits, but clearly he didn't have much today. "This is all I've got. Want more and you'll have to go harass the kitchen staff. Spazz'll teach you if you can't figure it out on your own." He had dealt with not only Kayath, but a needy green flit once upon a time, and his two living blues had been demanding in their own rights. The garnet didn't really bother him.

Oh, Kyprioth was innocent. There was no if’s, and’s or buts about it. Sure, the young man had some ‘alone time’ with a few females, but nothing had ever gotten very far. He had brothers though, and some of those brothers were old enough to have their own family. When that tongue rubbed against his finger he found a choked noise escaping him as he tried to push away.
Two things happened at once. As he began to move back, he got himself tangled in the fingers of J’dol’s hair. He partially fell against the man and made some awkward nonsense protest about this all. Surely there were rules about this! About about….about touching a weyrling and the like!
Because you like it! Don’t deny that you don’t, neither of us will believe you. Hmph, you are supposed to love me and o-oh well. Realizing how silly that was Stripe drew off gave his rider a look and apologized to Kayath with a croon rolling over to go inspect the perimeters instead. Clearly His was not going to protect himself, and this J’dolMan would not do it either so it was his job.
“Meanie.” Was all Kyprioth could manage to croak out, giving him a rather pained look.
A rather rude image, if you were a firelizard at least, invaded both of their minds as Banner took the meat and stomped off lifting his tail in a little flip at J’dol to tell him exactly what he thought of him.
Trying to stifle his laughter, and to ignore the rather pressing need to ‘make sure nothing would eat either of them or Kayath’, from his dragon, he leaned into the hand with a little sad sigh.
“"I don't fink 'e likes yer ter much, yer know, init?Stripe uh...he's gonna be busy makin' sure nuffink sneaks up on us, to eat me or someffin. I know yer 'ave a bit of work ter do but could yer possibly stay for a bit, maybe share er..second meal wiv me?” He manages a wiry smile but it was lopsided at best and his eyes were slightly glazed over. Concentrating when he was getting touched was to hard and not at all important.

J'dol couldn't help it, he laughed. Kyp's noise, followed by the poor man making a mess of himself as he tried to escape, was just too much. Grinning at the weyrling, J'dol continued playing with his hair as if nothing had happened. He even went so far as to hum a chipper little tune. He looked up as Stripe walked off and Banner started making rude gestures at him, only to chuckle at the very obvious declaration that Banner disliked him.
"Guess I'll make sure to load my pockets with food from now on huh?" He normally carried treats anyways, so what was the harm in bringing the sharding little thing a snack as well? Though really, a quick trip to the kitchens would solve any hunger problems! J'dol had to hold back the perverted smirk that threatened to show as Kyp explained where his dragon was going.
"So... your dragon is making sure nothing shows up to destroy our alone time eh?" He joked, working his fingers in an attempt to turn Kyp into a pile of goo; he was giving it his all this time. "If you don't mind me writing while I'm here then I'll have a drudge bring out some food and we'll have ourselves a little date."
Kayath rolled her eyes at the humans and looked to Pastenutth, curious as to why he felt the need to do what he was doing. Come lie down, Pastenutth. There is little here that can harm us. She crooned over to him while giving J'dol a mental reprimand. I shall keep watch. Nothing would dare disturb me.

Date? Date?!
Kyprioth nearly fell over at those words but the fingers in his hair had the calming effect of keeping him at least up right. He managed to mutter something that made no sense what so ever, even with his accent, and motioned for Banner to come back. Time for the annoying garnet to do his job.
The firelizard thought about ignoring him for a long moment before he huffed, gave them both a look and finishing his meat ‘popped’ between to go get the stuff he was directed to. “He’ll bring everythin’.” He murmured quietly against J’dols shoulder to embarrassed to move away, and enjoying it to much to really care. Surely there was nothing wrong with this, they weren’t doing anything bad and J’dol, while being a little chipper annoyance, was being oddly sweet.
Stripe peered up from his inspection of a trundlebug to stare at the topaz. His wings drooped and his head lowered. He was the perfect dragon picture of chastised. Of course she could watch them all! Nothing could get past –her-, but his was happy even though it was confusing him quite a bit and he wasn’t sure he liked it and he didn’t want that to stop!
With a croak the dragonet hopped over to the topaz curling up next to her nose and staring sadly at the bug which had followed him. It was –crawling- on him. He watched the stink bug with displeasure wondering if he dared to nudge it off and chance being stunk out-or just leave it to crawl all over his nares.
What if it crawls up my nose!? And I know you can protect us, it’s just-ack! That tickles, I’m going to sneeze
Kyp was torn between helping his dragon, though getting that stench off would be tiring, and laughing. Thankfully a rather harried looking drudge came up, quietly put writing material near J’dol and an easy lunch for two, rolls, fruit and cold drinks, and left muttering something about stupid firelizards who had to much ego for their bodies.
“Uh oh.” Kyp peered around for Banner, wondering if perhaps he went too far this time and got thrown into an oven.
