Name Aerinne
Pronunciation I-ree-n
Age 37 turns
Season Born in Spring
Gender Female
Sexuality Heterosexual
Appearance
Dark of hair and eyes, Aerinne is exactly what someone would call a "typical Pernese woman". She takes pride in her appearance as well, keeping her curly, kinky hair flowing and free except for a few braids here and there and she's known to try those newer body paints to bring out colors in her skin. She's what some might call a Gypsy type, coming from trader lineage herself. Jewelry is a must at all times, and her body is often clothed in deep earth tones to compliment her olive skin.
As far as face shape and body type, she was always similar enough to her adopted daughter to get away with those wondering questions that some have. She could easily pass for Alyara's family, her oval structure of her face pointed at the chin somewhat like her "daughter", her limbs delicate and thin despite the layer of muscle from her life as a rider. They both have the bodies of a dancer as well, and the clothing she wears is even more indicative of that than her "daughter's".
Sweeping skirts and blouses tightened by scarves or corset like pieces are a favorite of Aerinne's, and they always are home made by herself or traders. They don't have to be made by her all the time, but the idea of someone taking time for such a careful stitch makes her feel like the clothing has a story.

Personality
She's eccentric, not crazy, and she's flirty not promiscuous. It's not the fact that she is or is not these things, but the why's of them that are important. The most important thing about Aerinne is she's proud and she is particular about terms. You don't get away with calling her something just because she's different, what makes her different to Aerinne makes her special. To her it's okay to flirt till there's not one left and to think you're better than those stuck up Queen riders from time to time.
She's a go with the flow sort of gal, one that thinks everything happens for a reason, and yet to between with those reasons all at once. If something goes right, she praises fate. If it goes wrong however, she will not so much ignore it as face it straight on and say "Shards no!" She's headstrong and determined in this way, and it stems from the ability to always put her opinion in whether others want it or not.
Aerinne's incredibly independent, and she steps to the beat of her own drum. She doesn't like to just follow what everyone else is doing, although at times she can understand why that's necessary. She is however the sort of girl to push boundaries and applaud things like female Sub-King riders and male Sub-Queen riders. It's even rumored that she herself is trying to wiggle her way up into a Wingthird or second position despite the fact that Rhoanth is a Green.
...and to Aerinne, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, and Faranth help those that think there is.

History
Early Childhood: 1-8
Aerinne was born to a Bluerider and a Traderman. Not the most uncommon of pairings, but the circumstances were intriguing to say the least. Tometh was always...a daring Blue. Daring enough to try and go after a Queen. Yes, a Queen. He wasn't the smartest of dragons either to be honest, and naturally the Queen turned him away quickly. However, Aeninde was left with the flightlust and quickly found her way into Rinnel's arms.
When she found that she was pregnant a month later and the trader had come into the Weyr again, Aeninde essentially cornered him so that he could hear the news. He wasn't thrilled. So, eight months later, Aeninde had Aerinne alone, and she was perfectly fine with that. From a young age Aerinne was taught to never be afraid to be who she was and never turn away from a decision she felt was right. It was something she held onto tightly.
The girl did prove to get into trouble every now and again though. She enjoyed playing practical jokes at a young age, and even was known to terrorize the creche workers looking after her while her mother was in wing practice. Aeninde would rush over as soon as she could, acting the part of a scolding mother, but as soon as they were alone she would give the young girl a big hug and sweet.
"That's my girl, be a little spit fire, that's what keeps the blood warm in the winters."
Later Childhood: 9-12
As Aerinne got to be even older she grew out of the prankster stage and started to actually help. Every now and again she would still joke around and often moved to verbal mediums instead of more physical ones, but all in all as long as she wasn't bored everything would stay moderately peaceful.
The girl also grew increasingly close to her mother's blue, the dragon becoming her best friend and often talked to her despite some dragons' aversion to such a thing. Everyone knew that as a rider's daughter she'd be aloud to stand, but it still was a thrill when Aerinne pushed Tometh into actually saying it out loud. There was still much to learn at that time though, having only been 10.
Candidacy: 13-15
Soon however, Aerinne was 13 and the Weyrwoman decided to move some of the younger weyrbrats into the candidate barracks. She roomed with some of her best friends, growing close to them and for the first time started to not see so much of her mother and the blue dragon that had raised her. It was alright though, Aerinne had them in her heart and mind and she would always keep close to the lessons they had taught.
For once, she actually behaved herself, or at least when she misbehaved she didn't get caught. Aerinne wanted to be the best candidate she could, and she wanted nothing more than to impress and be a rider just like her mother. She asked questions, took double chores, and she looked after the young weyrbrats whenever she could lend a hand. The workers and drudges were amused by the change in the young girl they had helped to grow up, but none were complaining about the transformation.
Around this time Aerinne also saw another transformation in herself. She was growing taller, and she was filling out. Boys looked her way when she walked by, and the girl quickly learned to use her new set of skills. The candidate was a shameless flirt and had to be scolded once or twice by the candidatemaster for being found kissing in the broom closet. After one such episode though she was told quite coldly the sort of thing that would happen to her bonded if she tried to do the same act or more. It sobered her up enough to reign herself in at least.
Impression: 15
It was in the later Spring that she turned 15 that Gold Mivinth had one of her clutches. The fourth she had the pleasure of standing for, Aerinne had high hopes. She was no longer a young candidate having been one for two full turns, and she had been working hard! Surely a dragonet would choose her. None did. Another season went by, and no clutches were laid. Then, in the Fall one finally happened again. This time is was Gold Seriseth who had come to clutch on Trelis stands. Her rider was young and had come for the experience of learning from the older Weyrwoman, but a clutch was still a clutch no matter the circumstances.
A brown hatched first, and Aerinne clapped when one of her friends impressed to it. That was a great sign! Dragonet after dragonet came by then, hatching and impressing until only five eggs remained from the original eight-teen. Two greens and a blue hatched all at once, the two dragonesses as different as could be. One was brightly marked with colors of the forests outside the Weyr, the other was a pale almost white hue. The blue looked between them, crooning a flirting sound. It was obvious that neither of the greens wanted to share though. They hit each other after exchanging a hiss, their claws making little marks on the other's hides.
No, bad children! The mother's voice rang out as she nuzzled them apart, the two still hissing and completely ignorant of the fact that the blue had already gone off and impressed. The brightly colored green noticed it first though and with a snort she flicked her tail and marched over to the girls and head butted Aerinne. Come on MyAerinne! Your Rhoanth is bored and her sister is stupid....I'm hungry.
Weyrlinghood: 15-17
After that the two worked even harder if that were possible to be better than anyone else in their Class. They had to be the best, not to show everyone up, or to prove it to themselves, but simply because they could. Aerinne definitely grew up in those few months after the hatching, quickly learning that her world was no longer all about herself and her desires. There was another being that needed her as much as she needed herself.
Mid-weyrlinghood, a few months after they became Senior Weyrlings, the pair went through their first Mating Flight. It was an interesting experience to say the least with a small turn out of two blues and a brown. The blue that Rhoanth and her sister fought over was among them and she quickly dispatched her claws on his hide, making it clear that the memory was not entirely forgotten despite what many would think about a Green's ability to remember past events. Instead she chose the Brown, a dragon that had hatched two turns before she had. For a while Aerinne fought with the idea of staying with Yunith and H'rio. However, by their next flight Aerinne had already decided it was easier to just once again go with the flow.
By graduation the green pair had decided to also not care so much about coming out on top of their class. They graduated about fifth, with a spot in one of the Upper Wings thanks to Rhoanth's speed despite being a larger green.
Alyara: 17-31
There were more important things than only being a Wingrider though. One night a storm blew over the coastal waters of Sollace Hold and the next morning a small Search Wing was sent to survey the damage. It was no where as bad as the storm to come turns later, but there were destroyed nets and boats, and among the ruins of one was a tiny four turn old girl.
Down there! I see something! Diving down to the sea bellow them, Rhoanth carefully picked up the girl in her front talons and winged back to the Hold. Once there the girl was identified as a Fisherman's daughter, and after three days of not hearing from her parents, the girl was declared an orphan. Taking pity on the child Aerinne brought her back to Trelis and took her on as her own. The only thing she had from the girl, who she kept named Alyara in her parents' honor, was a silver locket that had been found around the child's neck and was presumably her birth mother's.
Alyara grew quickly and proved to be just as much as a trouble maker as Aerinne had been. Just like Aerinne as well, Alyara wanted to be just like her "mother", including impressing a beautiful Green like Rhoanth. It wasn't until Alyara was 14 that she found the truth. Finding the locket in an old trunk, the girl asked Aerinne what it was and finally the greenrider told the young candidate. She ran away instead, unable to believe the truth. Aerinne looked for her for two candlemarks after that before the dragon humm was taken up. A clutch was about to hatch and finally giving up, Aerinne went to watch. She was amazed to see Alyara in the stands not far away and a little green stumbling toward her, newly impressed.
They still didn't talk much after that, and for turns the woman didn't ever hear from her daughter except for what she could gain from others.
Current Events: 32-today
When the new colors started hatching and Inali became Senior Weyrwoman, Aerinne was one of the few that instantly took to the change kindly. She liked the idea of change, she always had. It became her own goal at that moment to become a Wingthird, or if she could, a Wingsecond. She heard the rumors of her daughter and the first Topazrider, and with a coy smile she watched from afar amused at the whole affair. When Alyara ran into issues and stepped down from her place as Weyrlingmaster, Aerinne was there to comfort the girl...and clean up a very messy hair cut.
Not long after that threadfall started again, and the rebellion and anti-rebels started to scuffle and then finally the fight broke out. She didn't fight, her dragoness having been injured by thread not long before, but she did worry over Alyara's safety. When the girl came back though she tried any way she could to get in touch with her daughter, and was upset when she was refused. The girl was back with that troublesome J'dol though, and Aerinne instantly took a disliking to the Junior Weyrlord, believing that he was the reason why her daughter refused to see her. Likewise, she knew the easiest way to get between them, was to talk to the other parent in the equation....J'mol.
Dragon
Name Rhoanth
Pronunciation Row-enth
Age 22 turns
Type dragon
Rank Green
Size 24.3 feet
Color Codes
Stripes and Markings- 324F17
Base 1- 83F52C
Base 2- C0FF3E
Wings- 417627
Appearance
Rhoanth is just as interesting in her coloring as Aerinne is in her personality. She goes from a base color of bright leaf green to yellow green and back again with dark forest green stripes slashing through her hide and being accented by the opposite of the base color. Her wings, proportioned slightly short for her size, are a more middling green speckled with variations of that hue as well as having twists of the two hues of green in her base coat.
As far as her body structure goes, the green is slim of legs, neck and tail, but has a broader chest and curved hips that give her not exactly a rounded appearance, but definitely a feminine one if someone were to think about it in terms of a human's body.

Personality
Rhoanth is as flirty as her rider and then some. Match that with the distinct need to compete with any and every female she sees, with the one occasional exception of Avirith, it can be an annoyingly lethal combination. She is relentless in her pursuits, and is anything but eloquent in her replies. Rhoanth tells you like it is, and she doesn't sugar coat a single darn thing.
To be honest, she doesn't have much of a mothering instinct either. She'd rather be the kind to give tough love than comfort, and rarely slows down enough to really make use of any comfort she does try to give. Meaning, that even when she tries, Rhoanth is incapable of spending the time needed to let the comfort sink in. No, confront those fears and worries and fight them is her way, and yes she is much more a fighter than a lover. Always was, and always will be.
