It had been only a few days since Kinurninth and the other Amethysts had clutched, and Kele had become unusually testy with K'er. The Sunset was normally docile, sweet, humble even...well not today she wasn't. Puffing out her orange and red plumes the little female clicked her beak together and flapped her wings in a less than calm gesture. It was time, that was the gist of it, it was time for her to rise into the sky again and be chased. She had done this once before, but her mate had been a Wild Huntyre, and the male had been foolish enough to become some Brown's dinner here.
Sometimes Dragons were such distasteful creatures. Drawing herself up, the Huntyre cawed and reached out for the wild and bonded Huntyres on Rindell Island, her wings spreading wide in their fiery hues, her body drifting up into the air before shooting straight out over the trees. Come, come and sing, come and fly. That was the call she sent out amongst the twists and turns she displayed, twined within the notes of her MatingSong.

Kaleo immediately heard the call of the sunset Kele, and it wasn't long before he was up in the air, chasing after her. Normally, the lunar hated it when anybody else was the center of attention rather than him, but well, she was quite lovely, and he supposed a rising female deserved the spotlight at least this once.
He dipped and dived in the air, struggling to keep up with the larger huntyre, but he gave his lungs a proper workout with his song, cawing and chirping and whistling, anything to get the sunset's attention. He glanced jealously at the sky around them. Perhaps if he was lucky, he'd be the only chaser to show up. He hated sharing.
