Name: Kitamori *Kita* Pronunciation: Key-tuh-more-E *Key-tuh*
Age: 16 turns Season Born In: Spring
Gender: Female Sexuality: Bisexual, Female preference
Appearance: Kita looks a whole lot like her mother did, not that it's a resemblance she's easily willing to hand out. After all, she didn't change her name to something else for no good reason. However, more about that somewhere else. What Kita looks like, is similar to many that have roots up in Telgar and other desert places. She has dark hair, black in color, that is thick and wavy and runs to her shoulder blades on her back. It often is swept up in some fashion though as to keep out of her eyes.
Those eyes are large and almond shaped with dark grey irises, and they often are either narrowed into harshness or open with a sort of vulnerability that is commonly seen in children. It's a stark difference, but one that plays within Kita's personality frequently. Her face is an elongated oval structure with high cheek bones and dark, arching eyebrows covered by olive toned skin, tanned by her time in the sunlight.
At about 5ft 7inches, Kitamori is right in the middle of the size range for Pernese females, and her body is filled out with curves. She's no twig, that's for sure, but she's not over-weight either. To be honest, Kita is not the type to pay it much mind. So she's not the smallest girl in the world, she still has an hourglass shape and looks good in a dress, and by Faranth if she wants to eat cake she will...and she won't feel a moment of regret for it.
Her body is clad in bright, fiery colors most of the time; oranges, reds, pinks and yellows being the most common hues to see her wearing. They often are in some sort of dress-tunic that is slitted and with darker shorts or pants underneath, and the girl either wears no shoes at all or small ones that are easily slid on and off. The one thing that she never takes off is a black ribbon that she has tied around her neck like a choker.
Personality: Kita is not the tiny girl she used to be, in fact, a lot has changed and hardly anyone from her old home would recognize her other than just some of her appearance. Even that has changed a lot, after all it has been quite a few turns since she was last in Trelis. Not that she's there now though. No, Kitamori had already started to grow harder, more confident even after her mother died in the Great Storm. She had steeled herself up and away when she stepped forward and took on her mother's name and baggage as something she would for always carry. She became a trickster when she moved away.
The young rider never thought she would be anything more than a second rate Harper, even though she strove to be just as good as her mother that been. In her mind though, no one could be as good as Kierah. It just wasn't possible. Little by little she had fallen within herself, guarding her heart by throwing herself into her studies and becoming a diligent student, and then something snapped, and the bright young girl that she used to be fell away into what would step out of the ashes.
Kitamori is never what she appears to be. She enjoys making her life a game, and what once used to bother her, she now finds thrilling and comforting. The girl takes amusement from others confusion and pain is something everyone needs to grow. It drives the soul to newer heights, and the need to stop such feelings is something she pushes away. Instead of making her heart cold anymore, Kitamori allowed herself to wear her heart on her sleeve, but in a darker sense than those that did so because they were too weak to hide their feelings.
If there is something she wants, she goes after it, and it is obvious that it is something she wants. If she hates someone, she will hate them with such a passion that it will consume everything she is willing to feel about that person. Emotion for Kitamori is something that should never be stopped, and should be experienced thoroughly and showed completely. Seldom does she think before acting, instead proving to be a bit of an adrenaline-junky, and the girl has been known to indulge herself in one way or another.
In the end though, Kitamori lives for herself, her dragon, and her pets. They are the only ones she truly trusts, despite her acting like she's close to many people. The only person she truly allows in is herself, and those she considers as a part of herself. After all, the world only takes bits of you away for itself, and you can never get those bits back. Her views about such things are often honest and filtered....not at all. Kita will happily talk till the herdbeasts come home about what she thinks of the world and those in it, it just depends on whether she has an audience or not.
And oh does she love an audience. As much as she enjoys doing things in secret, under the cover and night when she can participate in whatever thrill draws her fancy, she also loves to be watched. Kita has to have eyes on her at least some of the time, and especially when she's performing. She's not overly confident about her abilities, after all they are only a shadow of the sort of Harper she once was, but that doesn't mean she won't take some of those dancing skills and hop onto a table during a Feast to tabledance.
The one time she is herself, and the herself that is still young and innocent, is when she is painting and that is seldom and far in between. The girl hardly paints anymore despite her once love for it, she just can never conjure up the images that once always swirled in her head.
Family:
- Mother- Kierah, Deceased Harper
- Father- Leito, Deceased Drudge
Location: High Reaches Weyr--->Rindell Island/Rebellion Rank: Ebonyrider Wing: To be Decided in Council Meeting
History: The story that most don't hear, is one that Kitamori hides carefully inside her mind. She has become someone else simply because she had to, and because she could. The girl was born in Trelis actually, the only daughter of the WeyrHarper Kierah and her lover. However, Kitamori never knew her father all that well because when she was young he passed away. The reason is one she can't even remember, but that was an entirely different life from the one she leads now, she even went by another name; Leotie.
Leotie and her mother were well known, and to be honest well loved, in Trelis Weyr. She was a weyrbrat, but she learned from her mother about the ways of a Harper. Having discovered to be better at the arts that surrounded sketching and painting, Leotie set after that with a passion, but never entirely gave up learning to dance either. Her mother was the best dancer she knew though, and to Leotie no one could ever beat her.
Everything was okay, even as Inali became Weyrwoman and the new colors started appearing. She had her mother, that's all that mattered. However, when the Great Storm hit Sollace Hold, Kierah was visiting and was one of the many who were proclaimed lost. Leotie withdrew into herself, but for only a few days before she threw herself into helping the refugees as well as looking after the Weyrwoman's twins.
Around the time that Threadfall started, Leotie asked to be sent to the first Harper Hall, and so she was sent away from the Weyr to learn. At this time she was still going by her name, but she had started to grow more and more bitter, and she had started to change. There were a group of apprentices that loved to play pranks on the others at the Hall, and Leotie fell in with them, getting into all sorts of trouble.
At around 14, Leotie quit her apprenticeship with the group of youngsters and set out to Benden Weyr to start a new life. She never thought that while she was sitting in one of the hatchings, a dragonet would call to her. The small ebony did though, and the girl quickly changed her name when she was asked about who she was. Kitamori she said, giving the name of a young girl her mother always told her about in stories. She even instructed her dragonet to call her by the name whenever around others, and so far he has done well to only use her real name in private conversation.
As they started their weyrling training though and rumors of the rebellion started, Kitamori decided that staying in Benden would not be for their benefit. The people she once called her friends had turned their backs on her, calling her names and accusing her of being someone that was imperfect because she had impressed a mutation. People thought there was something wrong with her and her dragon because of the color of his hide. As soon as they knew how to between, they got the coordinates and images for Rindell Island and they left.
It was even easier to put up her front of being Kitamori when she was there, and she learned not only to put the more playful skills of manipulation she had been learning to use but also about how to fight as well. However, the rebellion wasn't all it was supposed to be cracked up to be, and rumors are spreading that people are wanting to change things. There are many versions of who to trust and what will happen though, and Kita wants in, it's just a matter of which group to accept.
Craft: Harper Ranking: Apprentice Strengths: Dancing, Painting, can sing *just not really well* Weaknesses: Stopped apprenticeship for "Unknown Reason".
Pet
Name: Chime-Bell Pronunciation: As it looks Age: 5 turns Type: Firelizard Rank: Green Size: Small Color Codes: e1ffb5
Appearance: Chime is on the smaller side of her color. Being petite, she also has smaller wings, though she knows exactly how to use them to the best of her ability. Her hide is a bright green color that changes to a paler winter green as it gets to her belly.
Personality: Chime is an adventurous thing. The boldest of the group, the green loves to get into messes and often will search for something interesting to do. Of all the pets, she is the one that spends the most time with Kitamori. Chime also is very friendly. She wants to meet and see everyone and everything possible. Even when she's not supposed to get into things, she will. Her curiosity gets the best of her often times unfortunately, and Kitamori is left with the job of scolding her.
Name: Tenor Pronunciation: As it looks Age: 8 turns Type: Firelizard Rank: Brown Size: Large Color Codes: 5E2605and CD8500
Appearance: Tenor is a very dark brown firelizard. Along his back and legs though are stripes of bronzed brown, though he isn't a king at all. He's boxier than some browns too, being sturdy and well built. His wings are more like a hawk's, blunt and powerful and that lighter bronzed brown. They easily can keep him up in the air for long periods, because of this he can even go after Gold flits easier than some of his color.
Personality: Tenor is the loner of the group. He isn't particularly close to any of them, though this isn't to say he completely stays away. He just enjoys his own time away from the annoying Green Sister, and weird FurryThing. When he is around Kitamori, it normally is either to sing in his deep tenor, or to snuggle up for one of his needier moments. These happen few and far in between, but they do happen. He was always her mother's flit more than anything though and still misses Kierah.
Name: Aisha Pronunciation: I-shuh Age: 2 turns Type: Feline Size: Small/Average Color Codes: ffffff
Appearance: Aisha is mainly an off white sort of cream hue from tail tip to her light pink nose. The only thing that changes in this is the occasional honey brown ticks and stripes that mimic a tabby's design but is incredibly faded. It's not dark or stark enough to say she has tabby markings per say, after all they concentrate mainly on her face, tail and legs and can hardly be seen on her back and sides. Her eyes are the most alluring thing about her though being a bright, sky blue color.
Personality: Aisha is the quiet one of the group, the one that doesn't get into trouble, the one that is simply there. She doesn't hardly make a sound ever, and it's almost ghost-like in the way she acts. However, when she does happen to do something it tends to be big. She doesn't just simply move from one side of the room to another, she bolts. She doesn't mewl, she yowls. It can be quite odd for someone when they first meet Aisha, but it generally isn't all that hard to get used to.
Dragon
Name: Meyoldaskith Pronunciation: *May-ol-dah-ah-skith* Age: 21 months Type: dragon Rank: Ebony Size: 18 feet Color Codes: 353F3E
Appearance: Meyoldaskith is black, black, and more black. He's not so dark as to be completely void of any other hue, in fact he has glints of a matted steel blue in him especially in certain lighting. However, he isn't grey in hue either. As Kitamori once put it, Meyoldaskith is that bluish, purple, grey color that is the sky right before it turns to night but is past the sunset.
His body is about average for an Ebony being 18 feet, and his wings are not all that long, instead being precisely the right proportions for his figure. What he does have though are legs that are long and thin, and feet that are likewise in their build. His body is elongated as well, and his chest is finely muscled but it's not difficult to see his ribs at times which often gives those first seeing him the worry that he's malnourished.
Personality: Forever the optimist, has to always put his two cents in, energetic/hyper, hard to focus
Meyoldaskith is always happy, always talkative, always energetic, and never focused. This boy is a thing of pure joy and love and rainbows and anything else you could possibly deem as being good. Hatred, evil, malicious intents? Meyoldaskith doesn't understand these things, he just doesn't. They are feelings that are bad, and even the word bad is treated as something entirely aweful and unspeakable.
The Ebony just wants those around him to be happy, happy and playful and cheery. Despite the fact that he's in a place that tends to be exactly opposite of that, Meyoldaskith continuously tries to find the optimistic outlook on life instead of finding all the things that are terribly wrong with the world. Unfortunately, this often means that the ebony has to put his opinion in, and no he won't even ask once if he's aloud to or not. If he thinks it, he's saying it.
Mind-Voice (If applicable): Ooooh, can we play? I want to play....no, but why not?!?
- Childish and higher in pitch.
- Often talks fast and a lot at once.
