Tiakimi is an averaged size young lady who stands at five foot, three inches tall and weighs one hundred and twenty-three pounds. She has a small build, but most of her build is made up of muscle that she is very glad for. For she believes that if it weren’t for her muscles she wouldn’t have the strength to deal with her dragon. She has long blonde hair that she is careful to keep out of her face. In order to do this she usually ties back her bangs, which usually does the trick. Though there are times when it looks like she had a child do her hair in the mornings. She has big green, expressive eyes, that seem to sparkle with emotion, which makes it hard for her to hide her emotions. Her eyes seem to smile whenever she’s happy, and they seem to grow very cold when she’s upset about something. She has been trying to learn how to train her expressiveness, but so far has been unsuccessful.
Personality:
Tiakimi is a very sweet young lady, but she has a hard time trusting people, and always has, which now seems to be a good thing. She was born this way, and now because Ightackosth trusts everyone she meets, Tiakimi’s untrustingness towards strangers has only grown over the time she has been bonded. She is a very loyal person once someone has taken the time to actually gain her trust. She will stand by someone’s side and try to help and protect them as best as she possibly can until the day comes that they either loose her trust, or she dies. The one thing in her life that she believes will never betray her is her dragon, which is really the only thing that she is protective of. Well, besides younger children that is, in other words, she doesn’t like people who picks on those who her smaller than them, and can’t defend themselves.
Tiakimi has always loved children, just for the simple fact that they aren't as judgemental as adults usually are. She also has a surprisingly good imagination, and if she had the ability to create the things she dreams up, well…the place would be full of strange furry creatures to say the least. She is very careful to keep a lot of what she dreams up to herself, but can't help but dream that some day she will be able to share her dreams. She really is quite different from her dragon though, whereas Ightackosth loves to be the center of attention, Tia tries to hide from it. Really, she would prefer to live the quite life away from any type of spotlight, but with a green dragon as driven as Igh is for attention, that is a dream that is going to stay just that, a dream.

History:
Tiakimi’s parents had been part of Rindell for quite a while before they had even noticed that each other existed, the reason for this is that her father had been too busy worrying about his work to really pay attention to anyone in the village. They had even been to many of the same Gathers at the same time, and still, it wasn’t until they were both adults that they realized each other were alive. It took about two turns for Kitami, Tiakimi’s father, to woo Inomi, Tiakimi’s mother. But once he had, he never let go of her. The two of them had lived happily together for about nine turns before they had their first child, Tiakimi’s brother Kinam. He was much like his father in appearance, but he had the gentle personality of his mother. In the end he had chosen to follow his father’s path, and attempt to become a great Tanner, which came as little surprise to either of his parents, who had assumed he would do so since he was their first born, and their only son.
It was two turns after they had had Kinam that they had Tiakimi. It wasn’t long before they had their third and final child Itona, Tiakimi’s younger sister. The two of them were the best of friends while growing up. But all good things must come to an end eventually. Itona had always followed in her mother’s footsteps when it came to weaving, so it didn’t really surprise their family when she was accepted to be trained as a Weaver, and had left their family home for a new life. That was when Tiakimi was fourteen turns old, and the day she had lost her best, and only, friend. It had always been hard for her to make friends, and even though she was the elder of the two of them, she followed Itona around like a little puppy. Thankfully for her though, it was only a turn later that she had been searched, and given the chance to become a dragon rider.
Tiakimi had been searched as a candidate, and sent to Bay Weyr. She had originally hated the idea of leaving, but after having a long discussion with her parents, she had decided that leaving might not be as bad as she thought. Since she didn’t have her sister around anymore and she wasn’t very good at either of her parents’ crafts, she figured she didn’t have much to lose by leaving. So she left for Bay Weyr, where she started her new life as a candidate. She felt really awkward at first, especially since she didn’t know anyone, and had no one to talk to about her fears. She quickly learned that she could trust the candidate master, and soon found herself talking more and more during the lessons each and every day. The main reason for this is because she had found someone she could trust, and therefore, someone she could confide in.
It had been about midnight when the call went out that the eggs were hatching, and at first, Tiakimi had believed that she had just dreamed it. But when she noticed that the other people she was sharing a room with were starting to get dressed for a hatching, she quickly did the same. Even though her hair was a mess, and she really did look like she had just rolled out of bed, she appeared before the clutch with a very anxious feeling. She wasn’t sure why, but she had a bad feeling about this experience. It wasn’t long before she found out why she had that feeling. A bronze had hatched first, and was closely followed by a brown that seemed to have a grudge against his brother. All Tia could do was stand where she was; horrified as the two weyrlings tore at each other. Blood had splattered all over the sands, and even to this day, she can’t get that image out of her head, and she sees it every time she starts to fall asleep.
Tiakimi had wanted to turn and run back to her family’s home, but she was too afraid to move, or even look away. She had released the shaky breath she hadn’t realized she had been holding when the golden mother finally stepped in, and stopped the fighting. The two hatchlings seemed to be terribly beaten up, and Tia didn’t think they would live for long, but they both impressed, and both survived, much to her surprise really. It wasn’t until after they had left the sands and had already been looked at by a Healer that she finally realized there was a green hatchling sitting silently on the sands. She couldn’t help but be drawn to the little female, but she didn’t understand why. It was then that she finally realized that the dragon was actually talking to her, inside her mind.
Really Tiamine, do they not know that their petty disagreements are nothing to the hunger your Ightackosth feels? Oh well, they will soon come to realize that I am much more important than any petty egg disputes. Tiakimi couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She had actually impressed a dragon, a real live dragon, but she didn’t have time to ruminate on the thoughts that were bouncing around in her brain. For as she spoke, the green dragon she had come to learn was named Ightackosth, had started to walk towards her. She gulped and stared at the little green that was now standing in front of her. She didn’t know what to do, she hadn’t been a candidate all that long before the clutch had started to hatch. But thankfully there were other new weyrling pairs that knew what to do, and quickly started instructing Tia on what she was needed to do.
Tiakimi found it a bit hard to be around her dragon for about a month after bonding with her, just for the simple fact that she couldn’t stand all the attention the green was attempting to draw to them. Eventually though, she learned to ignore most of it, and hide from the rest. The two of them have been together for nine months now, and there are still times when Igh or someone else has to tell Tia what it is she is supposed to do, but so far Tia has been a very quick learner. As their time progresses, their bond seems to strengthen and Tia hopes that one day, her dragon won’t be so frustrating. Then again, Ightackosth hopes that Tia will eventually come out of her shell, and learn to enjoy the spotlight that she believes they deserve. So even though there are still more than a few arguments left to be had between them.
But it doesn’t seem like anything bad will happen to either of them. So there is little need to worry about them, when in reality a person should worry about their own sanity before worrying about that of another person now shouldn’t they? Either way, Tiakimi had received word from her parents saying that the Rebellion had moved in close to Rindell Village about a season ago, and it only took her two weeks to get everything in order to be allowed to go back to the place she had once called home. Though now everything is a bit different, she isn’t the only weyrling there, and there are more than a few fully grown riders and dragons flying about as well. It’s all a bit shocking to see so many changes in and around the place she had grown up in. But she doesn’t feel that the changes have been made for the worse, instead her and Ightackosth are quite happy that the Rebels have made their home near Rindell, but so far they have each kept their reasons for this, to themselves.[/spoiler]
Ightackosth
Name:
Ightackosth
Pronunciation:
Ig-tack-oz-th
Age:
9 Months
Type:
Dragon
Rank:
Green
Size:
201/2ft. {Currently 19.7ft.}
Color Codes:
Base: 8AF167
Markings: 6DCF95
Appearance:
Ightackosth is a bright green in color, with teal markings on her toes, tail, snout, and neck. The one around her neck looks like someone strapped a collar to her, and the same could be said about the ones on her tail as well. The markings on her toes look as though she had stepped in teal colored paint, and had been unsuccessful in getting all of the paint off her paws, whereas the marking on her snout looks like she dipped her muzzle into a vat of paint and only had her bottom jaw cleaned. In all she is a pretty average dragoness that stands at twenty-and-a-half feet long from the tip of her green nose, to the tips of her green tail. But in all, she is very proud of the she looks, and always seems to carry herself with that exact same pride.
Personality:
Ightackosth is a feisty, flirty, impatient, attention hogging, manipulative, overly-trusting female dragon with an ego the size of two golds’ put together! She really is a handful, and keeps Tiakimi on her toes night and day, and she seems to have that fiery spirit that makes a lot of greens troublesome. But for some reason her young rider doesn’t want her to change, whether this is because she has been manipulated by her dragon or not is still unknown, and that seems to some information that this green doesn’t seem to want to share with anyone. So this is one mystery that will remain unsolved for the time being at least. On another note, this green is a typical flirt, but she seems to be a bit picky about the male’s she flirts with, but doesn’t seem to be afraid to flirt with anyone as long as it gets her what she wants.
Ightackosth seems to have an issue with waiting for things, and also sharing for that matter. The worst thing that could happen to this female, as of now, is having to wait for attention. That is one thing that she just can’t stand, and what really sets her off into a tizzy. That is why she doesn’t like seeing other females around males she thinks should be completely devoted to her. One thing she can’t get through her head though is the fact that not everyone loves her, even though she thinks they should, and do. But since it keeps her happy, Tiakimi hasn’t told her otherwise as of yet, and is dreading the day when she finally figures it out for herself. This belief is what makes her so trusting of others, and gives her the impression of being loved by all that would rather her be permanently muzzled.
Mind-Voice:
Hello there sweetheart, how are you this fine day?
Ightackosth’s voice can be as sweet as fresh honey at times, and then there are the times when her voice can be as harsh as sandpaper. Normally though her voice is very pleasant to listen to, and can be quite soothing when she wants it to be, but when someone upsets her, all bets are off. Just be sure not to really make her mad, because if she is particularly angry with a person, her voice takes on the sound of a person dragging their fingernails across a chalkboard. So please, be careful with what you say.
