No...not like that...honestly Tk'ri? How do you expect me to eat like this? No...not like that either...oh just put down the sharding bucket already you unbelievable, unwieldy human!
Aedaluth snorted as Tk'ri finally just set the bucket down, deciding that indeed the amethyst was right and it was better for her to figure out how to do this. Unfortunately, they had not been the only ones to impress and come to the table at that particular moment, though the dragonet snorted again for Hers to think they would be. Which, naturally meant cramped spaces. The Weyrlingmaster's Green, or assistant, or whatever she happened to be since she was in charge of them, crooned at the newest arriving pair, nudging the rider over to an empty spot by the table.
Now, now my dears, step lightly. Yes, that's how you dance around each other. Oh AraMine aren't they just beautiful and wonderful?!?!
Aedaluth wanted to screech out of the apparent lack of intellect she was coming across with every moment she had stepped over into this neck of the sands. Make her stop...please? Why is she so...so....her? For once the purple dragonet actually whined, Tk'ri placing a careful hand on the small creature's head before looking up at the full grown dragoness. I don't know, but she's a Green, and you're an above average...well, everything. This seemed to please the amethyst enough to get her eating again, and Tk'ri turned to look over his shoulder.
The bronze that had hatched with a topaz was no longer preoccupied by the attacking candidate anymore however, and with a tilt of his head Tk'ri watched with an open mouth as it went for Miyaka...only to impress to her. Well...ummmr...uh.... That is to be expected. It is the most decisive choice for him, all the other men here are too incompetent to become capable of possible control of his power and will. She will at least give him a reason to temper it, if not ware it out from time to time. He still bores me though, Tennath is far too predictable.
She flicked her tail back and forth, not entirely joyed by the declaration she had made, and when the young King and his female rider drew closer, Aedaluth gave a soft warning hiss before turning back to her meal. Vocalizations would prove only pleasurable for him...thus, though I may want to shriek for him to get as far as dragonly possible from me, I cannot. Will you do it for me my pet? "So, how you doing Miya?" That is not what I meant.
The bronze weyrling turned, her dark eyes searching for Tk'ri through her white bangs. "What do you think...Tik..Tk...what the shards is your name?" Tk'ri gave a shout of laughter, a smirk playing over his lips. "Guess...and what is yours?" Miyaka narrowed her eyes and shoved the nearest bucket of food into Tennath's maw, the Bronze hissing before diving into it. "Hey! Slow down." When the Bronze didn't listen to her however Aedaluth decided to take matters into her own hands.
You know, that is most un...kingly, of you Tennath. You're acting like an unsophisticated brute, not to mention lunatic.
I will do what I want peasant.
Nonsensical, Mentally Incompetent, platitudinous, feeble-minded, callow.
Naturally, all three simply stared at her with confused expressions of bewilderment and Aedaluth gave a massive mental sigh before shaking her head.
In short...moronic amateur.
(Feel free to have your weyrlings interact here or with Ara who is their teacher. This is just to keep things a little more neat and tidy in the main hatching thread.)

Hold still, Croyeth. This won't take long. Asaara told her new beloved dragon. I am, Asaara, my sweet. Can you oil me slower? Down the back? Croyeth replied. She nodded and oiled slowly down his back. Ever since she Impressed, Asaara kept wondering what her life would be if she was Ka'mond's lifemate. She sighed happily and continued to oil her Blue.
Someday, my Croyeth, you will win a mating flight and have hatchlings of your own. Not with a Gold, of course, but maybe an Amethyst, White, Obsidian or Topaz. Asaara told her dragon. Of course I want hatchlings, my sweet. But what are you playing at? Croyeth asked. I'm just saying, it would be nice. Asaara replied. Finally, she was finished with oiling Croyeth and the two went off to meet their fellow weyrlings.

Ooma walked, leaning occasionally on her dark green dragoness. Her face was warm, pink flushed, with sweat and tears mixed on her cheeks.. Some tears were from the pain movement of her wounded leg caused, but nearly all were tears of joy. She was a rider... well almost. It was in her future now!
With clumsy fingers Ooma rubbed Calibath's dark and brightly mottled hide with the oily rag, cleaning egg goop and sand away.
My hide shall shine, won't it OomaMine?
Ooma tingled with a giddy glee as she heard her dragoness's sweet voice. "Yes. You shall glitter and glow, my darling Calibath."
She answered, caressing Calibath's face. Oh! Ooma thought this green was the most lovely of the hatchlings she'd seen! None could compare to her bonded...
I'll have to write my father... to tell him.. better yet.. I could visit him! When Calibath is old enough, we'll both go see him...
Hmm.. Mine, my belly is hurting. I would like my food now.
Calibath wiggled impatiently, her deep voice edged with a sharp grumpy tone. Hers needed to feed her, now!
"Of course! I bet you are hungry after such hard work!" Ooma was in too good a mood to be spoiler by a grumpy and tired dragonet..
The pair made a slow path for the food table, Ooma leaning more heavily of Calibath as she tired and began to hurt more.
OomaMine needs a healer. Your pain is clawing my own mind... You're hurt...
Calibath snatched a fat herdbeast and tore into it hungrily. Her eyes whirled red for the shortest of moments as her mouth tasted blood for its first time. Delightful.. wonderful.. blood. It filled her belly so that she felt stuffed and wet her throat nicely.
Her tongue swept blood off of her muzzle, then from her paws. The green gave Ooma's leg a worried sniff and looked at Hers.
"I'll have it looked at soon. It has stopped bleeding. I'll bathe later and clean it up.. Don't worry..."
Ooma stroked Calibath's eye-ridge and smiled as her dragon crooned..

Tesla was still having trouble believing the fact that she had Impressed. If it wasn't for Syth's constant, calm presence beside her, she wouldn't have believed it at all. But it was true, and she couldn't keep herself from smiling--not that she wanted to. The stares she received at first were a bit disarming--she had Impressed from the stands and was quite older than any of the candidates, after all, but as the hatching wore on and more and more of the hatchlings found riders from the stands, Tesla drifted back into the background, which was just how she liked it.
Syth was hungry, and Tesla didn't waste any time getting her to the food. She started feeding chunks of fresh meat to the green, pausing only long enough to make sure she didn't choke on her first meal as Syth gulped it down. Once the green was fed and her belly content, Syth hummed happily and curled her tail around Tesla's leg. Before long she was turning her attention to her fellow clutchmates. She wasn't the most outgoing dragoness, but she wanted to make some friends, and she already knew that they were going to be spending lots of time together in the future.
Ignoring the fact that Tesla was supposed to be cleaning the blood and sand off of her bright green hide, Syth wandered over to another green. She was dark where Syth was light, with bright green accents, almost as if she were an inverted version of Syth. She crooned at Calibath, amused. Hello! You're kind of like an opposite version of me. That's funny. What's wrong with Yours? she added with a tilt of her head, noticing the blood on the girl's leg.

Calibath twisted her neck to get a good look at Syth's brilliant green hide. Oh, another green?
Hmm. Ours hides are sort of reversed.. That's interesting...
The green dragoness focused her bright green and teal swirled eyes on Syth, twitching her whip-like thin tail.
Mine was harmed before I found her.. Another dragonet I would say..
Calibath lashed her tail at this. She'd have shown whoever had harmed Hers! She was a compact female, powerful and stubborn...
Her head cocked slightly as she watched Syth. She sort of found this green as interesting. Hmm.. maybe she'd be a friend?

"Syth, get back here," Tesla called in exasperation when she realized the green had run off. She spotted Syth talking with another hatchling, and she picked up the rag she'd been planning to use on the dragon and walked over to her.
Syth turned her head quickly to her rider and said, Oh, sorry, before facing Calibath again. Her eyes whirled anxiously when she heard what she had said. Oh no! That sounds horrible! Syth could hardly fathom the thought of injuring another so severely, and certainly not on purpose. She'd felt bad enough knocking a few people about with her wings when she'd been trying to get to Tesla. She was young, but she was already feeling the urge to protect others.
Tesla had decided Syth wasn't going to move anytime soon, so it was as good a chance as any to start cleaning her off. It wasn't as if the green couldn't talk to her clutchmates and stand still at the same time.

AriMine, why are you crying? We should be happy, shouldn’t we? Won’t we fill the world with happy tunes? The small amethyst crooned in worry. Hers had not stopped crying yet and the hatchling was feeling upset! She didn’t know why though, Hers was filled with such happiness that Simenath couldn’t understand the tears. Please Mine, I am truly hungry. Maybe something to eat will dry your tears?
That managed to get the mute girl to move. She could feel the hunger deep within her own stomach and, with a glance to where he son stood cheering in the stands, she moved over the where the food was. Was this… okay? She wasn’t a proper weyrling… how would she do what she needed to do without a voice? She felt a gentle, mental nudge from her dragoness and knew things would be okay. Side by side, they approached the table and Aridani stepped away from the amethyst briefly to grab a bucket of meat, paling at the bloody mess in the pail.
Simenath was not planning to stay silent. In fact, the moment the large green mentioned dancing, the little purple dragon’s interest was perked. Dancing? Do you dance?
C’yin and Jalith made a strange pair, not so much due to their differences (few as they were) but because they just screamed oddball. Hands tucked behind his head, blue dragon at his side, C’yin made his way over to the table in a rather lazy fashion. Beside him the small dragon followed at a similar face, not saying much aside from the occasional deep breath as he looked up to the sky. Somehow C’yin ended up with a bucket of meat in his arms, though whether he got it himself or had it shoved at him he couldn’t quite recall. Sitting down he watched Jalith scarf down a rather large chunk.
“Hey… don’t go too fast or you might choke silly. Chew.” He grinned down at the blue as swirling eyes turned up at him. Why must I chew slowly, C’yinMine? My hunger shall be sated much sooner if I swallow as I am. C’yin paused in thought, understanding the validity there, but eventually trying to explain it further and after a time Jalith consented to eat slowly. With his dragon cared for, C’yin allowed himself a moment to look around, spotting Liam and Ooma, oh and there was Geso coming up! He flashed each a grin in turn. Smiling is a form of greeting? This you must explain to me.
“Uh huh. A smile is friendly.” C’yin grinned, as if that explained everything.

Well now, this had certainly been an interesting turn of events. By now Th'eau had passed off his overly excited and inquisitive nephew to his grandmother. Only managing to get the young boy to release his grip on his arm after making countless promises to have a proper introduction to his Uncles new brown at a later point in time.
Pulling his head from the rather large bucket of meat that had been placed in front of him, Nesteith worked his jaws slowly as he watched the man-child being taken away, all while rocking lightly side to side. Plopping down in a chair, the sailor turned candidate dragged a hand down his face before peeking at the hatchling from between his fingers. "I thought browns were supposed to be bigger." The young brown gave a snort as he turned to look at His. I thought candidates we're supposed to be younger. Does age and size really matter? Th'eau felt his jaw drop slightly at his companions swift comeback and let his hand fall from his face completely. He wasn't that old. He was still getting used to having anothers voice in his head again. A dragon mind was so much different then a wher's. "Well...no, not really."
The dark haired man rubbed at the back of his neck before reaching out with a rag to wipe the remaining bits of goo and sand from the young dragons hide. Which was easier said then done considering the brown was constantly swaying side to side. "What are you rocking for? Hold still..." Nesteith chewed another bloodied hunk of meat, leaving his swirling eyes to regard Th'eau. You rock as well, Mine. "Yes but that's different." It's all balance, a necessary aspect in life. "Yeah...says the dragon who's trying to balance on solid ground." Nesteith huffed and went back to eating, leaving Th'eau to finish cleaning and oiling his hide. [/font]

Th’en tilted his head to the side curiously as he watched Tyeth delicately eat the small pieces of meat that he held out to her in his open hand. He had never thought that he would impress a dragon quite like his little green. In truth Tyeth wasn’t actually all that small; actually he believed that Tyeth might actually be the largest of the greens that had hatched that day. A soft chuckle escaped him as he thought about it, and a small growl from his young dragoness had him dragging himself from his daydreams. I apologize my love. It felt weird to be apologizing to a dragon, let alone calling one “my love”. Th’en shook his head and sighed. It was going to take quite a while to get used to everything now that his life had changed so rapidly. But at least he wasn’t the only one going through such a change.
That’s when he heard the screeching call that always greeted his ears when Trueno joined him. Tyeth hissed at the blue and ebony flitters as they landed on Th’en’s shoulders. Take it easy Tyeth, in all fairness Trueno and Mellow where here first you know. Trueno you are going to have to get used to having Tyeth around. The little blue male wasn’t at all happy that His had impressed, which meant that he would have to share Th’en’s attention with yet another annoyance. But this annoyance could make a quick snack out of the little blue and she let him know it. Tyeth snapped her jaws closed closely to where Trueno was chittering unhappily on Th’en’s shoulder. I do NOT like him Mine! But the other one can stay. Surprisingly enough Mellow and Tyeth were getting along quite well.
Th’en figured it was because of the fact that Mellow was so much calmer, and so much nicer to others than his little blue was. But Trueno had learned quickly enough to stay well out of the reach of the green and was now poking his little head out of the top of Th’en’s robes. He was quiet, which was quite the surprise to the new weyrling, though he didn’t think anyone would be very talkative if they’ve just barely escaped becoming someone’s breakfast. Th’en knew Trueno was really a loving and sweet flitter, he just didn’t like to share. But it didn’t look like the weyrling was going to have much to worry about now that Tyeth had made it crystal clear that she wouldn’t take any sass from the little blue. Oh yes his new life was promising to be quite interesting, and quite the adventure.
