BLACKOUT!

Hey, guys!
So, what is now being called a "land hurricane" hit my state and a few others on June 29, 2012. It is now July 2, 2012, and we still have no power. In my state alone, over 250,000 people are without power and over 10 people have died from the heat, since the temperatures have ranged from 98-108 degrees fahrenheit the past few days (37-43 degrees celcius). We're not expected to get power back in my area until Thursday, July 5 at the earliest, or Saturday, July 7 at the latest. Needless to say... I may not be on for a bit.

Trust me, I'm trying!
I'm "watering" my dog every few hours to keep him cool, and taking him to the lake (which is like a 2 minute drive from my house) to swim. I do not want my dog to overheat! We've also stocked up on water in case the generators for the water plants go out, and unperishable food. I'm so tired of eating peanutbutter sandwiches it isnt even funny. Thankfully, though, the library, and a bunch of churches in the area have generators and are opening their doors to people to let them hang out. One church is even feeding people for 3 bucks, and kids eat free. Kroger has a generator, too, and is giving away bread and stuff. The community has really pulled together, I guess. My neighbors and my mom and I all get together in our basement each night and play board games and stuff to pass the time, too. It's nice, in a way?
Anyway. Yeah.
