Iirla felt irritated. Again. It wasn't that uncommon. But it did make her a bit.... well... mean. Or at least she felt mean. She tried not to do certain things and to do others... but it never really worked out the way that she wanted it to. How was it supposed to... What with the Rebellion and let's not forget about S'vrin and that obnoxious Ar'rex.
Izanycorth was, at just the merest thought of them, already planninga way to rid herself and her Weyr of them. Permanently if she had her way with it. Of course it wasn't something she could really have done as she didn't want the mutation colors to be further persecuted... Actually she wasn't too bothered... but her rider was and as her rider was, so she would be. So she should be. She was now the Weyrqueen. Which was not a position she was particularly happy with...
Izanycorth would have gladly had Thormyth and Braymoth find their own ways of dealing with these two. But they had followers and it would only bring the mutation colors into a worse light than that which they already viewed them in. It was a tough situation.
Iirla watched her Weyr quietly as she rubbed at an itchy spot on the back of one of Izanycorth's wings, her three flitters doing as the queen commanded htem to help her. The little sub-queen Ama and her little blue Trivol fought with the gold, but Praesent really didn't even need Izanycorth's reinforcement of the commands Iirla already gave him. He was a good flitter and he loved Iirla so very very much.
Iirla would have to admit... she felt very lucky to have her little fair. It was like having family here... But of course, she did have family of a sort, she supposed. She had Vl'kan. Though she didn't know how long it would be safe for him to stay with the persecution of the mutation colors becoming worse. SHe wondered what would happen if Izanycorth were to be caught by a garnet... what would that do? Or a Bronze who had already sired mutation colors. One thing was for sure.... It best not be S'vrin or Ar'rex's dragons that caught her or even came close... Not only would Izanycorth be displeased... but they might wake to find an angry Iirla holding a knife to their throat. The picture amused her slightly and she smirked as she scrubbed at the itching spot again. Well.... This was her break today... and tomorrow. She shoudl talk to Inali. She did need to get a meal in at some point too...
