R'vin sat on the grass, watching as the sun set. The gather was always so long... sometimes far too gratingly long for his tastes. He sighed and leaned back against the blue hide of his dragon. Umeith rumbled softly, laying his head on his paws feeling some sense of irritation. He did not care for the Gathers all that often. The first few days were alright... the rest... not as much.
Umeith huffed and R'vin just sighed again. Oh Umeith.... he wanted action. He wanted a fight or to flame thread... or train. He didn't like this watching and waiting. He didn't like this just sitting around and waiting. He didn't like that he was stuck here doing nothing.
"Calm down Umeith... You'll get your chance soon enough. You had fun at the games, right?" The dragon did not respond to his rider's question, but rather remained still.
R'vin wasn't one to enjoy inactivity either. He was usually training or working hard at one thing or another. But he had actually taken the Gather off. And she wasn't entirely sure why.
R'vin looked at Monerae and smiled athe Bronze who hissed at the blue only to be swatted at by the blue's tail. The little bronze jumped away chittering at the blue from the air.
R'vin sighed and rubbed at his face...
((sorry it's short...))

Why are you leaving though? It's just starting to get interesting.
The Obsidian dragonet stretched out on her chosen ledge for that evening and flicked her tail as her mind reached across the ocean to her rider. On The Island amongst the gatherfolk, Eiko was squirming out of the reach of someone who was most definitely drunk. The young man lunged for her playfully, and she squealed and wheeled back, her arms flailing as she turned and ran in Faranth knew which direction. She needed out of here, that was the fourth time that sevenday that someone had come onto her. At least, that was the fourth one she had paid enough attention to to notice.
Finally catching up with herself, Eiko bent over near a tree outside of the Weyr and breathed. How she had run through the place from the Weyr Bowl and had gone up the nearby hill so fast was such a blur it wasn't even worth trying to comprehend. All Eiko knew, was that she needed to lie down. Flopping and sprawling out her arms and legs she let her chest rise and fall in quick succession as she caught her breath. On the other end of her mind she could feel her Obsidian'd laughter at her inability to deal with anything even remotely social.
Yeah, well I've had it up to my head with people now! Blowing her bangs, which had faded thankfully to more of a strawberry blonde like the rest of her hair compared to the pinkish purple mess it had been days before, Eiko tried to relax her shoulders against the soft grass. It didn't really work that well and she ended up just closing her eyes and forcing herself to take in deep, slow breathes. Everything would be fine. She was returning home soon, her hair was getting back to normal, she hadn't seen that bronzerider for a while, and nothing too bad was going on....yet.
