Baker's Dozen {Jill/Open}

R'as smiled broadly as he finally finished setting up his stall. It had taken awhile to do but he had finally set up a place where he could sell some of the desserts that he had backed earlier that day. Think Xaemia will show up? He smiled at the rumbled laughter of his dragon. Of course she’ll show up Mine. Virath shook his head from wher he lay just outside of the gather. He was still close enough to his rider so that he could help him if need be, but he was still well out of the way of the people that would be passing by his rider’s stall. Thankfully it was a nice day so he didn’t mind laying in the grass, and it appeared as though his rider was having quite a day as well. R’as had been furiously setting out all the food he had made, and was quite happy with the way everything seemed to be coming together.

Alessa sighed as she got the finishing touches on the eclaires she had been working on to finish up the stall. She'd lucked up with the Ebony weyrling R'as. He was a fairly good baker himself and she'd lumped in with him, so their stall was the confections stall. Luckily he seemed to be competant at building things, unlike herself, so he had set up the stall itsself. Her arms laden with baskets and finishing touches in the form of bottles of creme caramel and chocolate with some powdered sugar, she made her way back to where they'd decided their stall would be.

"Well well, i'm Impressed!" She smiled settling her baskets on the table behind them and started setting out a few of the samples so people would know what they were getting, but it would be as fresh as possible.

"You really outdid yourself R'as! You ready to sell some pastries?" She rolled up the scarlet sleeves of her gown and pulled her hair back. Time to get to work!

R’as looked over and smiled at Alessa as she approached the stall, wondering what she thought of it. Thank you Alessa, I’m glad you like it. Building wasn’t exactly his strong suite, but he had to admit that he had made a very nice looking stall, and it was big enough for both of them to make things to sell. I’m ready and waiting! His smile broadened as he spoke and as he watched her get ready for the work they were about to do. He wasn’t sure exactly how many customers they would get, or if they would get any at all, but he was praying that they did. Alright, here goes nothing! He rubbed his hands together expectantly as he inspected the stall and all of the confections that they had laid out from the front of the stall. Everything just seemed perfect in his eyes.

It smelled good. She smiled. She had to be getting close to his stall by now. Virath... where are you? she asked the ebony directly. Moth gave a huff. She should get to talk to her brother!

Xaemia grinned and laughed. Oh Moth... you can always talk to your brother! Moth perked up at that... though she didn't really need permission, Xaemia thought privately.

Oh! She heard R'as! "R'as! R'as! " she called, waving in the general direction of his voice before picking up her skirts in one hand and walking very carefully over to him, the other hand out in front of her, which came to rest on her chest as she finally made it to stand right in front of him. "R'as." She grinned, finally there. She, her trio of flitts, and her little white dragoness. "Alessa, where are you....?" she asked, a hand reaching out to find the girl. She had to be here somewhere. "How are you doing? Everything seems wonderful. Moth says that the stall is beautiful."

R'as really had out done himself. The stall was great and there was plenty of room for both of them to work. She gave him a plate with one of her creme filled eclaires on it.

" you're my guinea pig. Try it . If it's not good I need to rework it. It's been a while since I tried this reci..." her voice died off as she heard a familiar voice. It was xaemia, and she was...whoops! Alessa swerved to avoid the girl running into the plate she'd held out for r'as.

After a minute she started asking where she was and she smiled. Settling the plate on the table, she settled her hand lightly on the girl's wrist.

"I'm right here xaemia! How are you and moth doing?

R’as smiled and reached out to take and try one of the éclairs Alessa held out for him, but right as he was about to take hold of one of the pastries, a familiar voice reached his ears, and the next thing he knew the plate of food was gone, and there was now a small hand on his chest. He looked down and smiled when he saw Xaemia reaching up towards him in order to reach his chest, which was at least a foot above her head. He chuckled at her, and shook his head as he watched her reach out for Alessa. Yes, I’m right here. I’m glad to see you here Xae. He bent down and attempted to pick her up in his arms, if she would let him that was. After all, he was sure that she would definitely let him know if she didn’t want to be picked up, but then again, she had yet to deny him this small pleasure.

Virath snorted and shook his head when he heard Xaemia’s voice inside of his head. He still wasn’t used to the fact that she could talk to him whenever she wanted to without asking him first. Oh well, he was quickly distracted when he saw Moth and her rider walking towards his rider and the strange girl R’as was working with. He trumpeted a happy greeting to the white dragon and wagged his tail excitedly as he waited for her to come and lay next to him. Maybe they would play again today, but with all the stalls that were set up, he wasn’t so sure their riders, or the other people there, would be very happy to have the two of them bouncing around so close to their wares. So he figured he would wait and see what happened before asking R’as if he could go off and play with Moth.
