History: Father was married to his first wife and had two children. She died from an illness and Mordren eventually remarried to Morana's mother. Morana was born, followed by her little brother. She was never particularly close to her half-siblings; they were much older than her and while not so much resenting their step-mother, neither of them made much effort to be friendly.
Morana had few friends growing up, though she has always been close to her brother Liden. Not quite sure what she wanted to do growing up, eventually apprenticed as a woodcrafter like her father. Was content, but not particularly enthusiastic, until she was searched by Benden dragonriders.
Became a candidate and Impressed at the second Hatching she stood for, to amethyst Capelth. With many resident riders against the new colors, they experienced some prejudice among their class, until Morana met a fellow amethyst-rider who was an undercover recruiter for the rebellion. Late in her training, as they began to go between, she and Capelth were given coordinates to Rindell island and they joined the rebellion, where they have been ever since. In Capelth's first flight, she was caught by a brown dragon and has a clutch.
