Appearance:
Tinsly stands at a moderate height for a girl of her age, around five feet. She is slender and willowy, with thin limbs and body. Short dark hair falls down to just past her earlobes, cut in a boy’s fshion. Her blue eyes are intense, always glaring out from beneath her slim eyebrows. Scars dot her body, mainly from her work on a ship. The is a long scar that runs from her right shoulder across her entire back, down to her left hip, caused by getting caught in the middle of a nasty knife-fight between two men on the boat.

Personality:
Tinsly is wild, and eccentric. Though the young woman was Weyrbred, taught to say her pleases and thank yous, she never really grew up to be as civilized as her parents would have wanted her to be. While not rude, Tinsly is less than polite, which offends some and amuses others.

The kind of person who always has to have something to do, the young girl frequently volunteers to do anything anyone may need done, as long as it involves some sort of action. When she can’t find a task to occupy her, she resorts to playing with her pets. Though she doesn’t completely understand the Rebellion, she thinks the idea of a war between dragons is thrilling, and hopes to one day Impress to one.

Odd to the extreme, Tinsly prefers to live away from the majority of people. While she is kind, and has a good heart, she needs her space sometimes, and finds that Weyrlife can get a bit cluttered, so she pulls herself away. The young woman may seem odd (and indeed, how could anyone say she’s not, when she doesn’t ever wear shoes, and is hardly seen in more than a tunic and shorts?), but she does indeed have a good heart, and tries to help when she can.

Untamed, Tinsly bows to no one. While she gives her grudging respect to her Weyrleaders and follows orders (somewhat), the girl prefers to stand alone and independent on any and all issues.

History:
When Rhyn's Green, Alamaith, rose for the first time, a blue dragon she had never seen flew her. His name was Daerth, and he was bonded to N'fal, a sweet and caring man. Alamaith and Daerth enjoyed each other's company almost as much as their bonded did. Soon, Rhyn and N'fal were Weyrmates.

After that first flight, Alamaith never let another dragon catch her. Soon after, however, Rhyn realized she was pregnant. Six months later she gave birth to a baby girl they named Jaelyn. Two turns later, she and N'fal decided to have another child. Thus, Lysel was born. Eight turns after that came Tinsly.

Tinsly grew up being the youngest, obviously, and was always picked on. This made her tough and strong, a real rebel. As a Weyrbrat, she was exposed to dragons from the beginning, and loved them. When she was ten and Jaelyn eighteen, Jaelyn and L'sel both Impressed their own dragons, both blues, and both at Southern Weyr.

This, naturally, caused Tinsly to want to stand, to Impress her own dragon, though she longed for a color other than green or blue, the colours her family had Impressed. She longed to be different, to forge her own way in the world. However, she was not searched. She was never asked to be a Candidate. Shamed, Tinsly ran away, and hid herself on a boat. She worked to earn her keep on the boat until just recently, when the boat docked at Trelis Weyr.

Tinsly had heard rumors about Trelis, and decided she wanted to see what it was all about. So she hopped off the boat and hid herself away in the Weyr, hoping to be searched, to be asked to Stand as a Candidate. Well, and if she found out what this whole Rebellion deal was in the mean time, so much the better.

Just a few (well...more than a few) relatively minor things.

Appearance: "The" should be there in the last sentence.

History: If Tinsly was born a total of ten turns after Jaelyn, shouldn't Jaelyn be 22 rather than 24? And later, Jaelyn is suddenly eight turns older rather than ten when she Impresses.
Wish can correct me if I'm wrong, but weyrbrats generally are not searched; they are entitled to stand by virtue of being weyrbred, so Tinsly wouldn't have to have been searched by a searchdragon in order to stand for the clutch, as long as she was old enough.
On that note, candidates at Trelis are not younger than 13 turns. It could be slightly different at Southern Weyr, but with her having a summer birthday, she would have just turned twelve recently, so it would be quite a stretch to come to the conclusion that she was never going to be searched at Southern.
Also, at first you say she hid on a boat, and directly after that, she worked on the boat to earn her keep. Which is it, and if the second, exactly what sort of jobs would a twelve-year-old girl be able to do, considering she's described as thin and willowy and thus, not likely very strong?
