"Come on you lot, get your asses out of bed." J'degar yelled as he strolled through the corridor, knocking on doors here and there. "Grab your straps, grab your riding gear. Dilly dally today and I can guarantee you wont be flying." With his helmet tucked under his arm, he strode out of the barracks and headed up to the ledge that was commonly used for such lessons. The sun was only just breaking the horizon, amd he took a moment to enjoy the sight as Syphraelth landed beside him and deposited a dead herdbeast onto the pile.
Come little ones, I have breakfast waiting for you on the ridge. The dragonets themselves, at almost six months old, had long since learned how to fly alone and hunt for themselves, but today would be a first for them; flying with their riders. As the first weyrlings made their way to him, J'degar gave them a brief glance. "Tell me what you think your dragon's strengths and weaknesses are in the air." It was a simple question, and one they could take a good guess at despite being inexperienced.

Ooma actually had a much unneeded help. Calibath took her large front paws and shoved Hers out of bed onto the floor. "Hey! What was that?!" She cried, untangling herself from the sheets. Oops, my bad. Ooma gave the green a glance and went about getting dressed. The girl had not lied when she had desperatly promised the eggs she'd touched that she would change. Ooma had learner Impressing left little room for being squimish or for dressing perfectly.
She hastily brushed her hair free of bed-head and changed into a dark green tunic. Calibath watched with a cool air about her. Why do humans cover themselves with fur and hide? Weren't you born with a natural body?
"We have soft flesh, and prefer not to show our 'parts' like a beast." The dragoness snorted, flicking Ooma's boot across the room. "You know, if you make me late for this lesson we'll both be in trouble! What has gotten into you?!"
Ooma went with one boot on after the other. Calibath swept her tail to try and trip her rider but Ooma stepped clear. "Calibath, I mean it!"
Calibath yawned, knocking the flying gear onto the floor. "Really? I thought dragons matured as they grew ..."
Ooma sighed and collected the gear. "Come on. Let's hope we aren't late...."
----
Calibath walked beside Ooma, and trotted toward her breakfast. Greetings Syphraelth! Has yours been as slow and bothersome as Mine this morning?
Ooma flushed at the question. "Calibath's weakness will be listening and focusing. We had.. difficulties this morning..." She sighed, wondering what was wrong with her normally annoying but sweet dragon.

Flying, TeslaMine! Now we get to fly together! Syth was in fine high spirits today, and wasn't hard to discover why. She was excited as her rider at the thought of taking a flight together--probably more so, to be honest. Tesla was not scared of heights, but that didn't mean she was entirely comfortable way up in the air where humans were not meant to go. Silly Tesla. As though I would let you fall. Everything will be fine, you'll see.
Tesla forced a smile onto her face for the young green. Sure it will, Syth," she said. To tell the truth, she was more concerned about being sick than falling from her mount, but that didn't mean she wanted Syth to know it. She listened obediently to J'degar's instructions, glancing thoughtfully at Syth. As soon as it was her turn, she spoke up.
"As far as strengths go, Syth's will be endurance, for sure." She'd already noticed how the young green had a knack for finding wind currents and thermals to keep her in the air longer with as little effort as possible. "She seems to be pretty quick with her turns as well. As for weaknesses..." Tesla gave a slight frown as she thought. Given her strong bond with the dragon, she wasn't exactly keen to point out the negatives, but it wasn't as though she had much choice. "Perhaps her overall speed in the air? And she can be kind of clumsy on the ground, as well," she admitted, patting the green's head apologetically.

Vitari had learned to streamline her wake-up routine since Impressing. Or rather...since that first lesson where she had been dreadfully late and forced to run laps with her wingmates the moment she arrived. She had bathed last night and set out several outfits. Now, she was able to get out of bed (after some prodding from her amethyst), stride to her clothes, and bypass the nicer, every day outfit, selecting instead her training outfit. They didn't look particularly different, but the latter was older; she had decided that her oldest clothes would become dragon-riding clothes as she bought newer garments. Of course, she had also realized that most of her days would require these dragon appropriate clothes, and was trying to adjust her taste and purchases accordingly.
Dressed, she secured her hair in its usual twist at the back of her head, gathered her gear, and headed out to the ledge, Maysceth eager beside her. The amethyst was practically prancing, delighted at the idea of carrying her human through the air. It will be lovely, Mine. You haven't flown much, have you? You will love it.
Vitari may not have been overjoyed about being up this early, but she was looking forward to flight. She was even smiling a little, though the majority of her excitement was evident only to the dragon who shared her thoughts. It wouldn't do to be bouncing around in front of J'degar, after all.
The weyrlingmaster's question threw her off, however, and her smile faded. She could extole Maysceth's virtues and strengths all day; her dragon was the best dragon on Pern, after all, and if she wasn't it was Vitari's job to convince people otherwise. But weaknesses...? Why would it ever make sense to announce your dragon's (and by extension your own) weaknesses to a crowd. She would just have to twist it. "Maysceth's strengths are her maneuverability and her speed. She can turn sharply without losing speed and outpace many larger dragons. Where she is...less strong is her endurance. She can only spend so long in the air before growing tired, particularly with her small wings." And now time to spin that... "Of course, that just means she gets to spend more time on the ground, where she displays flawless grace which would put a queen to shame." The amethyst seemed somewhat embarrassed by Vitari's monologue, but was also lifting her head a little higher than before, clearly bolstered by the compliments.

Iro'ris was already awake, and just finishing up oiling his Topaz, Saekath, because as she constantly reminded him, they had to be perfect. Wiping the sweat off of his brow, he groaned when he heard J'degar knocking on the door. After Chahaturth's flight, J'degar had been a bit distant, as was understandable... but the Weyrlingmaster still had him running laps in his free time from dawn to dusk... every day. No matter what. Rain or shine.
Standing, the ex-cook swore he could feel his bones creaking. Saekath cackled a dragon's laugh, standing and raising her head proudly. If you want to stop running any time soon, CrazyStupidMine, you should listen to him. After all, we are flying today, and we must be picture perfect! Iro'ris groaned, but hobbled himself over to his gear. Pulling on each piece slowly, he finally threw the riding harness onto his dragon and tightened the straps. "Alright, let's go."
They left the barracks, and Saekath immediately took off. Iro was amazed at how large she already was. It was a bit intimidating, really. And he was going to ride her? He had never ridden a dragon before. The thought was both elating and terrifying. J'degar had once promised him a ride on Syphraelth, but... that had been before Saekath had called to him from the Sands. And good for you I did, CrazyMine! The Topaz called down before landing on the ridge next to Syphraelth.
Good morning, Syphraelth. Saekath purred, dragging a herd-beast a little ways away before tearing a leg off and beginning to eat. Iro'ris rolled his eyes. His topaz was enamored with J'degar's brown, just as Iro himself was enamored with J'degar. "Must run in the Impression..." he muttered to himself before approaching the small group that was gathering. Listening to J'degar's question, Iro'ris thought briefly for a moment before answering.
"Her strengths are endurance and power. Her weaknesses are agility and sharp turns. She's too large to manuever quickly, but she can fly for an extremely long time." His blue eyes met J'degar's, and they narrowed slightly. Tell me I'm wrong and I will not hesitate to tackle you, J'degar. Or have you forgotten that we were friends, or what happened during the flight?

Lilia wasn't really wanting to deal with anyone today, it was just one of those days that she hated to be remotely female. And of course Nauth was happy for the lessons as he bounced around her bed trying to get her up. Mine Mine Mine Mine!!! Time to get up and take Nauth to the classy class!!! Come on Nauth wants to fly!!!!
Lilia grumbled and got up as she just threw a dress on and some pants, pulled her hair back in a loose ponytail, and waved at Helia who was off on her own adventures. Once she got to the lesson though she just frowned as she tried to figure out how she could speak up about such a thing... Well she couldn't not as a public speaking so she just leaned against Nauth and waited. Maybe the weyrling master would know a way but right now... she just leaned against her little ebony as she clutched her body just feeling plain miserable.

Being late is an intolerable offense pet. Please understand this simplistic ideology that I have told you numerous times...it's becoming quite redundant having to repeat myself on such a daily basis.
Aedaluth, well Aedaluth was being Aedaluth. The dark amethyst nudged her rider gently forward, nipping at his shirt when Tk'ri only shook his head and dismissed his bonded with a wave of his hand. "Calm down and stop getting your tail in a knot Aedy. Honestly, you'd think I committed the worst possible offense. We're not late, we're not early, we're here precisely when we mean to be."
You mean when you mean to be. I however meant to arrive quite a bit earlier than we have. I am not please nor amused Tk'ri. I expect more than this from you. Next time you shall improve or there shall be consequences.
"Yeah, and what would those be my darling?" The young man looked at his dragonet, observing the others as he waited for her to respond. The amethyst simply stared back, really quite bored more than anything else, her eyes swirling very slowly. I will cease to hold meaningful discussions with you about the meaning of our existence. "Yes, because I just live for those." Don't you? Her voice perked up at the end in a question, Aedaluth's gaze spinning slightly faster as she thought about this, and yet she received no response for her "brother" was there soon enough.
Out of our way, your King has arrived! Yes, yes I know you have waited for M'ka and I, but your Tennath has now graced you all with his appearance. You may settle your cheers, really, really now, calm down you all.
The bronze strutted past the dark amethyst that had chosen His' friend, a brief snort coming before he stopped and finally nudged Aedaluth as way of greeting. The amethyst shook her head, purring a little greeting of her own, wordless in nature but still just as important nonetheless. The young King shook out his wings, letting the action slide off and ignoring the amethyst as best he could while His was staying there, refusing to move from her sole companion as per usual. No, Miyaka wasn't in a good mood today despite knowing they would soon fly.
"He's going to be doing this all sharding day...probably all sevenday. I can't sharding stand it when he's acting like he's the best thing since Faranth hatched."
She pushed her white hair from her eyes, her dark irises searching Tk'ri's gold ones. The weyrling simply shrugged giving her an, and what should I do about it, expression. I am perfection, they will all see that soon enough. Come M'ka, Little Bird, we shall prove just how worthless these lesser beings are! The bronze puffed out his chest, his eyes swirling a fast mixture of greens and reds as he whacked Miyaka's leg with his tail. The weyrling simply ignored the chatter though, refusing to give into the urge to snap a retort back. Tennath only took it for having won this argument and proceeded to continue on about how great he was, but before his words could form Aedaluth had stepped in and had nipped his neck.
Cease your insolent jabber foolish pretender. You're ways no longer amuse me as they once did, they have grown old in their redundancy and no one is impressed any longer. You want us to bow down before your might? Prove it then or slink back into the shadows that you came from. This is a day for seriousness and concentration, not parading around with an over-stuffed ego.

Tyeth snorted loudly in her rider’s ear when she heard Syphraelth and His calling the weyrlings for an early morning lesson. Come now Minelove, it is time for us to fly. It didn’t take much more than that to get the green weyrling up, out of bed, and dressed so quickly he thought his head was going to spin. I can’t believe it Tyeth! We are actually going to fly! He couldn’t help it, he really was excited about finally being able to fly with his green. She was only six months old, but already she was taller than he was. They might not have been among the first ones to show up, but at least they weren’t the last ones. Tyeth walked happily over to where Syphraelth had the food waiting for the weyrlings and happily started eating her breakfast, pretty much ignoring her siblings, especially that clutching, good-for-nothing, bratty topaz.
Th’en didn’t have that luxury however, for as soon as he got there J’degar started asking questions. Well, she’s pretty agile in the air, though she doesn’t seem to have all that much stamina. He glanced over at his young weyrling as he spoke, trying to think of anything else that could be considered a strength or weakness. Nothing crossed his excited mind currently, but he knew it would later. He was just too happy to finally be able to ride the air with his lovely, feminine dragon. Tyeth crooned at the thoughts that were passing through her rider’s mind. She too was excited about this first flight, and she was sure she would show up that no-good, spoiled rotten topaz sister of hers. Not that she had ever had much interaction with Saekath to make her hate her so much, she just hated all dragons that were able to clutch.

Aridani jumped as the sound of knocking woke her from her sleep. She looked around in confusion Despite having been waking up early for six months now, Ari had never quite gotten used to the schedule. She missed harperdom, missed not feeling tired, but this was her life now and she would get through it; she wanted to return to D'tri as quickly as she could after all.
[c]Oh AriLoveMine! Today we get to fly, isn'tit exciting? The wind on our hides and the chirping of birds in our ears. What lovely music the day has in store for us![/c] With a gentle smile, Aridani allowed the amethyst to drag her out of bed and went about getting dress. A simple girl, it rarely took them long, though she had to return to the room for her straps, having forgotten them. They arrived at the ridge in due time, and ever the curious dragonet, Simenath was quick to question Syphraelth as to what was going on. Oh, but how was Her's to answer such things?!
Can you speak for me, my Simenath? She asked, her feelings full of love as the amethyst agreed. Simenath added in that Syphraelth wanted her to tell him. Would you tell Syphraelth that you are a agile and energetic in the air with quick reflexes, but that you get easily distracted. The message was relayed, though grudgingly because Simenath felt embarassed for her shortcomings. Even so, the rumble in her stomach soon had the little purpl dragon hobbling over to eat.
---
[c]C'yin. We must awaken. C'yin. The voice was loud in the weyrling's mind, but ever the deep sleeper, C'yin wasn't one to simply wake up from some noise. The young man shifted in his sleep, sprawling unceremoniously on the bed, much to Jalith's displeasure. [c]How is it you can sleep for so long?[/c] Jalith knew he wouldn't get an answer and instead placed his claws on the bed and scratched lightly at an exposed leg. Physical contact always did the trick.
"Huh, flying today?" He asked through a yawn as Jalith relayed the weyrlingmaster's words, his emotions pushing that they should move with some haste. [c]Long have I desired your presence with me in the wide sky. We will be as one this day.[/c] It took a fair bit of quiet pestering from the blue before C'yin finally managed to get them dressed, standing back to adire his terribly flashy, glass studded straps. Yes, it was perfect.
As they strode out to meet the others, both dragon and rider found themselves once again string up at the sky; Jalith with a concentrated expression, and C'yin with a dopey smile and a lazy bop of his head. Though they arrived after the instructions had been given, Jalith was quick to pick up on what was expected of them based on the answers. [c]You must announce my shortcomings to the class, C'yin.[/c]
"Eh.. but you're perfect Jalith, can I say that?" The blue weyrling spoke quietly as he walked up, though his mind was on Jalith now so he didn't notice how dangerously close he was to his classmates until he bumped into Tesla. "Ah.. sorry I didn't see you there, pretty lady." [c]Tesla, C'yinMine. Learning the names of your classmates would be an excellent idea.[/c] C'yin simply grinned, and tried to come up with a suitable answer.
[c]It is simple, C'yin. Explaining it, to you, shall be my duty this day. Your Jalith is nimble in the air, capable of matching his green sisters in acrobatics, when it strikes my fancy. However, it seems my reaction time is under par. Of course you, C'yin, also fall short. There are many things for us to observe, do you not think? Let us leave the quickness of action to my brethren. We shall be the ever watchful observers.[/c] Finally, with a confused blink, C'yin answered out loud.
"He's uh... quick but slow. I mean... he's got acrobatics but he thinks too much, so he's no good up where the action is, I guess?" Jalith simply rolled his eyes. Neither had mentioned the trouble they had with focus.
--
Normally, when it came to lessons, student knew in advance what time the lesson was starting, and thus J'degar was a stickler for them being there on time. Today, however, he had woken many of them, and today alone the weyrlings' tardiness would be slightly overlooked. After all, J'degar was testing them, seeing how fast they could react. Speed was something they needed to have.
Ooma was the first to appear, and J'degar was pleased with the progress she had made, regardless of her unfortunate gender. She put her attention on her dragon, rather than herself, and was always quick to arrive at the lessons. The green of hers was a tad uncontrollable at times, but all in all they were working through training at a respectable pace. I wish mine had been a bit slower, I am terribly tired. Syphraelth rumbled, pushing one of the smaller herdbeasts towards Calibath. "You failed to mention a strength; it seems your listening is just as poor. I expect you to work on that."
It was Tesla and the eye-catching Syth that followed soon after. Really, how was it te girls were faster and more prepared than the boys? Perhaps he should make them run laps for being beaten. The thought amused him, but he didn't persue it. J'degar was mildly surprised when the green weyrling claimed her dragon was better built for endurance than speed. that in itself was interesting, but he nodded in approval. "Consider involving her in a game of tag to improve overall speed."
Now, Vitari was an intriguing woman. With such a high importance on appearances, J'degar wondered if she'd even be able to follow the instructions. The girl's wording made him smile, almost. "Will she be fighting Thread from the ground?" He asked to combat her attempt at hiding the weakness. In the end, J'degar didn't really care what the strengths and weaknesses were; the weyrlings would gain a better understanding once they started riding. What J'degar wanted to see was that the riders were able to admit where they fell short, so they could know what to work on. "Strength training in the water might help." Little Lady, you're looking stunning this morning. Syphraelth crooned to the topaz, his eyes whirling happily. J'degar wondered how much longer the brown would call her little; she was catching up to him in size now. J'degar, however, had no warmth about him as he gave his own narrow eyed gaze to Iro'ris, almost daring him to come out and say what was bothering him. J'degar could guess, of course. He had been keeping his distance, but after narrowly avoiding trouble for the flight incident he didn't want a repeat of any kind. He gave a light nod. "Have her practice evasive maneuvres and see if there isn't a technique you can use to improve speed.
Th'en's aswer was much like Vitari's, highlighting agility as a strong point and endurance as a weak one. It was the common set for greens, anyways. "Same at the other greens, you'll do strength training in the water."
Nauth, you shall have to answer for your rider, to me instead. Yours does not look well... The brown pushed herdbeasts towards any of the pairs who hadn't taken one, and though J'degar gave her a brief look, he moved on quickly. There was no use yelling at the girl for not answering, since she couldn't. Besides, he had the troublesome duo to deal with.
"In the future Tk'ri, Miyaka, I expect you to have your dragons bespeak a classmate to learn what you missed. Since you don't have the drive to figure things out on your own, I'll repeat the instructions. Name the strengths and weaknesses of your dragons in the air. Your partners may eat while you work on your answer." He ignored the squabbling between the bronze and amethyst; the riders were old enough now to either reign in control or deal with the consequences if it escalated.
"Alright you lot, finish eating and mount up. You'll launch off the cliff one at a time I want no airborne squabbles. You'll be only gliding for this, jump from the ledge and try to glide down to the water. Don't try any heroics."

Asaara awoke to a pounding on the door. Asaara, my sweet, it is time to fly. Croyeth announced. Asaara yawned and put on her riding clothes. After saddling up her beloved dragon, the four, including Mhedroh and Abra, went out to go flying for the first time. As they walked, Asaara thought about Ka'mond and where he and his dragon was: in the enemy's hands. She couldn't stop thinking about what happened that night his dragon was flown by someone else.
When they arrived, Asaara bowed to the group's Weyrlingmaster. "I believe that Croyeth's strengths are that his is hard-working, strong and a good student. His only weakness is that he is overly protective." With those words, Croyeth puffed out his chest out in pride.

Vitari lifted her chin at J'degar's mocking question of whether or not Maysceth would be fighting Thread from the ground. "If need be, yes. She could join the ground crew, fighting alongside noble men and women who did not have our good fortune to Impress. She would offer them her strength and grace, lending an air of stability and guiding her crew forth when they grew disheartened and wanted to give up." She considered the ground crew below her, of course, as she had a dragon and they did not. But she could put aside that personal bias to counter J'degar's words, at the moment. That and Maysceth rather liked the idea, and her head lifted somewhat, proud at the thought of helping those who were in a position thought generally less impressive. It wasn't fair that they be looked down on because they had no dragons, after all!
Maysceth had grabbed a beast and torn in as Vitari was speaking with J'degar. Now, Vitari walked to her side, the pride in her expression making it clear she thought she had sufficiently beaten back J'degar's disdain (though of course she had taken in his words and intended to spend some time with Maysceth in the water). She rested a hand on May's side as the dragon finished up, then pulled herself up onto the dragon's back, strapping herself in.
Now that she was mounted, with the prospect of flight - even just gliding - before her, she felt a bit nauseous. Oh shards with if Maysceth couldn't keep the wind beneath her wingsails, or a strap broke and Vitari tumbled to the ground or-
It will all be fine, Mine. Please trust me? Right right, yes. Vitari took a deep breath, let it out, and nodded. Maysceth had moved into position as Vitari worried. As she felt the affirmative feeling which came with Vitari's nod, Maysceth threw herself from the cliff, wings snapping open. There was a moment where they were free falling, during which Vitari let out a rather embarrassing yelp, and then Maysceth's wings caught the wind and their descent took on the feeling of gliding, rather than plummeting.
Initial panic fading, Vitari found herself caught up in wonder. She was gliding. On her dragon. A dragon that she had and would have for the rest of their lives. She found herself beaming, and when Maysceth's feet touched down, the dragon running a few paces as she fought her momentum, Vitari looked up towards the cliff, wondering if they could go again. Think you could fly us back up?
That wouldn't be fair, Mine. It is not our turn, anymore. Maysceth felt bad at Vitari's stab of disappointment, but moved out of the way, making room for whoever came down next.

Iro stood by, rather bored, as the other Weyrlings gave their answers and J'degar offered training tips. At his tip to Iro, the topaz Weyrling nodded stiffly. The two men were equally as awkward around each other now, but Iro'ris wasn't quite sure how to fix what had happened between them.
Saekath, however, was as radient as ever. Thank you, Syphraelth. She purred. Granted, Iro took a moment to take in the fact that his topaz was nearly as large as the brown dragon beside her. She dwarfed most, if not all, of the other dragons at the lesson, including the arrogant dumbass bronze that had Impressed to Miyaka, a girl. Not like Iro could say much, considering his female dragon had Impressed to him, a male.
Iro'ris wished he could smack some sense into that bronze, but he knew he had to be a leader. It was expected of him, just because he had Impressed a Topaz. That female, though, Miyaka... she had a bronze. She should show a bit of leadership, too!
It was about that time, while Iro'ris was still mentally raging about how stupid and ignorant Miyaka and her bronze were, that J'degar gave the next set of instructions. Saekath had already finished eating, and her hide sparkled rather beautifully in the sun. Iro gave a sigh of appreciation before following the instructions of his Weyrlingmaster and mounting up. Shifting around uncomfortably, he watched as the first to go, Vitari and Maysceth, approached the ledge.
Iro wouldn't admit it to himself, but he was nervous. Vitari looked a bit nervous, too, but the amethyst threw herself from the cliff and opened her wings, executing a rather graceful glide down to the bottom. Iro'ris gulped. He hoped he wouldn't yelp like Vitari had. That would be more than embarassing. I am a leader. A leader. I must not fail. I must be perfect. Perfect for me, perfect for J'degar, perfect for Saekath! I am a leader!
With that mantra repeating in his head, he almost didn't notice that Saekath was moving. Yes, perfect. We will show them perfect, CrazyMine. We can do better than that! Iro'ris nodded. Right, better than Vitari and her amethyst. They would be perfect at gliding. No, CrazyMine. We will be perfect at flying! Iro felt his stomach turn, and forgot the mental bond between himself and Saekath as the Topaz leaped, and he shouted. "J'degar said only to GLIDE, Saekath, GLIDE!"
It was, however, too late. Saekath had jumped, pushing off from the cliff with her strong back legs, large paws gripping the edge for better leverage before she was airborne. There was no gliding, unfortunately. The Topaz snapped open her wings, and instead of letting them catch the air, she began to pump them, carrying herself and her rider into the air above the other Weyrlings. Saekath gave a mighty roar, and for a moment, Iro forgot his fear. Flying wasn't scary! It was wonderful! Laughing, he let out a whoop, and lifted his arms for a brief moment.
Saekath roared again, circling the cliff where the other Weyrlings waited. "Whoo-hoo!" Iro yelled, hugging his dragon as best he could. "Go, go!" The topaz flared her wings, and dropped into a dive. Snapping open her wings again, she landed next to Syphraelth with a grace that was odd on her large frame. We do not need to glide, for we are perfect! Saekath exclaimed to syphraelth and J'degar. Iro'ris knew he was in for some punishment, but hey... he wasn't going to argue. Flight was amazing!

Ooh, tag. That sounds like fun. Maybe we can find some others to play with us later? Syth suggested as soon as J'degar had moved on from them. Tesla agreed. She'd noticed the look of surprise he'd given her when she'd said Syth was built more for endurance, but she wasn't bothered by it. It just made the green that much more unique.
After everyone had replied to the questions posed to them, it was time for the flight itself. Tesla couldn't help rechecking Syth's flight straps; she knew how important it was that nothing went wrong. Plus, she was still a little nervous about flying.
Let's go, Tesla! Syth said impatiently as the woman climbed onto her back. Trust me, I can carry you easily, I'm not that small. Don't worry so much, please. Some time after the amethyst Maysceth flew it was Tesla and Syth's turn. Without much warning, Syth jumped off of the ledge, Tesla hanging on to her neckridge harder than necessary. The drop was startling at first, but as soon as Syth's wings began to catch the air, they leveled out into a glide. The green even weaved back and forth a bit in the air, and Tesla began to grin.
For all that she had been nervous before, the flight was over far quicker than Tesla expected. Syth's feet skimmed the waves as she landed in the water, though fortunately it was shallow enough that Tesla was left dry, and the green walked up onto dry ground before letting Tesla dismount. See? That was not too bad at all.

Now the pair stepped up. Ooma's mouth twitched as the Amethystrider babbled on about how perfect they were. It wakened fire inside the Greenrider, made her fists quiver in rage. No. That child was a waste of time... Not worth her breath, right now...
Calibath gave Ooma a rough nudge, tossing the straps. Ready?
The dragoness snorted. Of course I am. If we are not, I chose you carelessly.
That stung, but set Ooma's jaw. The girl tightened the straps carefully, until Calibath's tail smacked her thigh. Hey! You are scared. Do you really think I shall drop you? Mine, no matter how stupid you are, I picked you. Out of all the fools standing. I will not let you get hurt, severely atleast.
They walked to the edge, and finally Ooma mounted. The green dropped over the edge. The air fled the girl's chest, stealing her scream. She shut her eyes and then- Ooma was sure they would slat. Air greeted them when wings snapped out.
And Ooma could breath again....
The pair circled alittle before landing on the ledge. Ha. They were just as good as anyone.

Nauth instantly perked up and looked up at J'degar's brown, he couldn't recall the old man's name but he merely gave a big grin. Eating a bit as he responded at the same time. Mine says that Nauth is fast and agile, and very very hyper. But tires easily.. Hey mine!!! Nauth doesn't tire easily!!! Lilia gave a little smile and gently patted Nauth's hide as she stayed next to him. Oh and mine is okay she says so. Lilia gave a little sheepish smile and just shook her head. It wouldn't do for her to get that sick and they had to start gliding after all.
Once it was their turn, Nauth just wouldn't sit still as he kept fidgeting and staring down where he will be gliding. Mine mine mine mine mine think Nauth can make it that far!! oh no farther yes farther !!! Nauth can do this yes Nauth can!! Lilia frowned a bit as she looked a bit sick and placed a hand on her face. But quickly in a minute she shook her head a bit {Nauth please hold still so I don't get sick all over you, I just recently gave you a bath} Nauth just pouted a bit but tried to stay as still as possible as Lilia climbed up onto his back. But before she could say another word he ran off the edge with his wings open to glide. Lilia gave out a squeak and just clung to Nauth... Once they landed though her face looked furious as she mentally scolded the Ebony.
