Flying Flitters and Trundle Bugs this girl has white hair!
Okay, so yeah she's not exactly your average pernese girl, but she'll still rock whatever she decides to look like. She has white hair; not blonde, not golden brown, white. It's not the only case however, it is one of the few cases where she isn't partially albino. If you ask though, it is one hundred percent natural, and she'll gladly prove it. Now that the shock of Miss. Snow White is somewhat passed over, one may be able to look at the rest of her.
She's a midget with a personality, meaning she is 5 feet of willpower and stamina. No one can beat her in a game of wills, it's just impossible, at least in her world. However, that's straying into her personality, the only reason it is now mentioned is because you can see her confidence. It's everywhere, from the bold styles and colors she wears, to the way she holds her shoulders and body as she walks. She may be a "White Dragon" as her friends like to tease, but she is no helpless little girl.
Her eyes often are the first thing that will tell this, being two incredibly dark pools. Only occasionally will they glint an amber, red hue, and that's if you get her into the right lighting. Which tends to be a problem since she doesn't like being outside all that much. Her skin is sensitive to sunlight, burning easily. Many wonder why she just doesn't go for the whers then and be a night huntyre like she normally is. Well, once again this goes back to personality, but it's because she hates to be told what to do. Due to this stubbornness, her skin is pale or slightly pink depending on how many chores she has had to do outside lately. Since, after all, she refuses to not be a dragon candidate.
Now, are you past the hair and eye colors? Have you moved forward from the snowy skin? Good if you have, if you haven't you need to get a life. Alright, on to the actual structure of the girl. Miyaka is petite as mentioned, however she has longer legs and arms and a smaller torso. She also has slim shoulders and hands, and she certainly doesn't look like she can hold her own in a fight. Miyaka is flexible and fast though, and her features are almost mouse-like in that strange stage between child and adult.
She often does where different sorts of clothes, patching together different fabrics and hues to form a new sort of item. She will also wear things that most would say wouldn't look good on her. Whether this is a bright color that clashes with her wintery looks, or it is a pair of trousers underneath a cut off skirt, Miyaka is there weaving it together and wearing it anyway.
Personality
"Does it look like I care what you think about me?"
She's...in a word, harsh. Miyaka doesn't care what anyone else thinks about herself or her opinions, and that tends to make her say them anyway. In all honesty, she is the most honest person you will want...just when you don't want an honest opinion. The rest of the time she tells you whatever she darn well pleases. It's actually quite amusing to watch since she's not always acting mean either.
She will appear happy, as if there isn't a care in the world, and in those first few moments when you talk to her, there seems to be nothing bothering her. Then she'll whip around and turn quiet, draw into herself and often walk away after she's asked a question. Or worse, she will five an absolute earful of her own opinion about just how unworthy of her time you are. If you didn't know her, this would make absolutely no sense, even if you did know her, it still seems odd and hard to become accustomed to.
Already one can tell that Miyaka isn't the most normal girl in the world, in fact she's pretty darn odd. Then again, for a trader she seems pretty normal and fits in with the rest of her eccentric family. Yes, that's eccentric too, not crazy...never crazy. The candidate isn't strange in that she has random fears or anything like that, she just acts off, and when you try to say something about it she will snap at you like there is no tomorrow. Miyaka tends to go from incredibly playful and outgoing to very shy and introverted, or harsh and direct, in the time it would take a dragon to between. It doesn't even have to do with being comfortable, or on the opposite side, uncomfortable. Miyaka just is scatter-brained and finds it fun to see everyone's reactions.
What it is, is that Miyaka enjoys playing these games. She loves to see the confusion pass over another's face, and she desires that knowledge of being a perfect mystery to someone else. The candidate plays games, flirts, jokes, tells stories, and then leaves just as quickly as she has laid the punch-line down. To keep her in one place is a difficult thing, but it is not something that can't be done. All you have to do is wiggle something in front of her, a secret, a piece of information, and she is begging for it as badly as a newborn flit with food.
Miyaka can't stand not knowing something, and she will go out of her way to listen to the juicy gossip going on in the Weyr, and there is always plenty of it to be heard. The girl is just as bad with keeping it going as well. Be warned, you should never tell Miyaka a secret. She may play with it and wave it in front of you, but she will eventually say it. She just can't keep anything in. This also shows with her emotions. Miyaka will say or do whatever is on her mind, and she wears her heart on her sleeve.

History
~Before Candidacy~
Miyaka was born into a small trading caravan near Trelis Weyr. The traders were mainly a mix of weavers and healers, with some harpers and a few runners that stopped into the camps as well, and they both sold wares and sent messages between the Weyr and its different villages and holds. The girl wasn't the only child in the group, however she was one of the few girls, especially in her own family. Born the middle child between two brothers, Miyaka learned both how to be a tradergirl from her mother, but also how to hold her own with the boys.
From a young age she was highly inquisitive, wanting to learn about anything and everything she could get her hands on. Often this would lead her parents and teachers to near madness from the constant stream of "whys" and "hows" they were made to answer. Every response though was one more thing learned, and often they were not without their own set of new questions. By the time she was old enough to learn a trade, Mikaya's older brother had been searched by a rider while at Trelis Weyr.
She remembered watching the hatching and the excitement when he impressed a Brown, and she knew at the moment all she wanted to do was follow in his footsteps. Miyaka dreamed of more than just a trader's life, marrying into some other caravan to make connections for her family. However, her parents refused to allow it. Even though she had been searched by dragons too, her parents were insistent on not losing another child to the Weyr, especially their only daughter.
Angered, Miyaka often rebelled in small ways against her family, and each time she was scolded and made to do chores until she quieted down again. By the time the girl turned 17 though, she had had enough. Her parents had found a nice man for her to marry. Miyaka had found a nice runnerbeast to take her away.
~Candidacy~
Once she got there, she was there to stay. Arriving just after the dragons battled, Miyaka was less searched, and more swept up into weyrlife helping to take care of those injured. She hated setting bones and dealing with patients, but she did enjoy finding the stores of herbs that she mixed together. Once some of the riders found her special "talent", Miyaka was watched just in case she was someone from the rebellion sent to poison S'vrin or Ar'rex, but the two men quickly realized that Miyaka was no friend of the rebels.
She thought that the mutations were fascinating yes, but in the way that a mad scientist would with her newest dissection. So, she was soon adopted not just into the weyrlife, but into that of a candidate's for the dragons. Of course though she still works in the infirmary whenever she is told to, often using the work as an excuse not to do chores since she doesn't like going outside during the hot days.
[spoiler=Bonded]Giver Bronze Tennath
Impressed To: Miyaka (M'ka)
Pronunciation:Ten-nath
Rank: Bronze
Size: 44.3 Feet (8.9 Feet at Hatching)
Color Codes:
996c2b
d7a95f
b87333
Appearance:
At 44.3 feet, Tanneth is a large Bronze, and he knows it. However, he is not large due to excess muscle nor excess winglength. This is something he takes great, great pride in. He is large because his body simply is proportionally so, no tricks of the trade to make him seem like it. That is not to say that the King is without bulk, because face it, he is a Bronze after all. His shoulders and chest are built steadily like a working Runnerbeast, and his legs are long and well muscled as are his wings and just about every other part of him too.
As far as his coloring goes, Tanneth is a middling brownish bronze that has paler creamy bronze and a pale red bronze as well that is even indicative of terracotta. To be entirely honest, he's not the shiniest or most traditionally bronze dragon, and some have mistaken him for a large brown even at times if far enough away. His hide is metallic though, it is just that of aged bronze more than bright and shining new metal. It also is ornate with various spirals and disks along his neck, legs, wings and tail forming intricate patterns.
Tanneth is a King through and through in the way that he holds himself. It isn't just an over confidence so much as a natural air of regality though. For the King, it just comes naturally, and being anything else takes much thought. He hates being any less than someone he sees as competition as well, and because of it will never allow himself to relax or show any sort of weakness. He has a habit of throwing back his head and stamping his front paws as well whenever he is irritated or cross.
Personality:
Tanneth is a king in his own right. He can be quiet, reserved and watchful. In fact, he is the most watchful dragon you will find. He doesn't miss a thing. What king would? He has to know what is happening and know what is happening at this particular moment. He is a tyrant. King of life and death itself in his eyes. He doesn't look at it as a right to live - but a privileged, one you should be grateful for. Especially when entering or leaving his presence. He allows you to remain alive - make no mistakes. Life is an important and those who chose to waste it have no right to it.
He is both a protector of the small and their terror at the same time. He will push them and push them until they break if he can through his words. He will challenge them - all in the name of forcing them to grow. He has a rather violent streak and if he should lose his temper... He may be one to cause a few wounds on his fellow dragons - especially during a flight.
He has a great deal of pride - too great. He thinks of himself as the gracious ruler who gives and takes lives without a second thought. Though this is very particular to those directly under them. He will keep them entirely disciplined. He will not take insubordination, disobedience, or disrespect - especially towards him.
He is, above all else what he tries to make of himself. He is a hard worker and will forever think of himself as the necessary protector of the weak. He however, constantly feels like his brown broter is trying to outdo him which only makes him feel he needs to prove he is a King more and more. He will be the greatest king and the greatest child of Garnet Thormyth and Gold Izanycorth if he has anything to say about it.
Tanneth does not like his Topaz sister in the least. She is annoying in his eyes - as is his Garnet brother and his brown brother is plain horrible. He will likely fight with them on a frequent basis.
He is a king in his own way, in his own right. He is an incredible flirt. He flirts to get what he wants and worm his way into the hearts of others. He sees it as greatly important to gain the love and trust of others, even if he does not truly desire this and finds it to be rather boring. He will not stop from flirting with any dragon or forcing his to flirt with their riders regardless of gender. He will push his rider to the edge and back again in order to see them improve as a pair.
Mind-Voice:
Hmm... what a lovely treat this is.
- Deep baritone.
- A hissing tone to it.
- Smooth as silk.
Aten was a being who represented the god or spirit of the sun, and the actual solar disk. He was depicted as a disk with rays reaching to the earth. At the end of the rays were human hands which often extended the ankh to the pharaoh.
Aten's origins are unclear and he may have been a provincial Sun-god worshipped in one of the small villages near Heliopolis.
Aten was called the creator of man and the nurturing spirit of the world. In the Book of the Dead, Aten is called on by the deceased, "Hail, Aten, thou lord of beams of light, when thou shinest, all faces live."
It is impossible to discuss Aten without mentioned his biggest promoter, the pharaoh Amenhotep IV, or Akhenaten. Early in his reign, Akhenaten worshipped both Amon (the chief god in Thebes at the time) and Aten. The first as part of his public duties, the latter in private. When he restored and enlarged the temple of Aten first built by his father Amenhotep III, relations between him and priests of Amon became strained. The priests were a major power in Egypt and if another god became supreme they would lose their own prestige. Eventually, relations became so strained that Akhenaten decided to built his own capital by the Nile, which he called, "Akhetaten", the Horizon of the Aten.
At Akhetaten, Akhenaten formed a new state religion, focusing on the worship of the Aten. It stated that Aten was the supreme god and their were no others, save for Akhenaten himself. It has been said that Akhenaten formed the first monotheistic religion around Aten. However, this is not the case. Akhenaten himself was considered to be a creator god and like Aten was born again every day. Aten was only accessible to the people through Akhenaten because Akhenaten was both man and part of the cosmos.
Akhenaten systematically began a campaign to erase all traces of the old gods, especially Amon. He erased the name of Amon from the temples and public works. He even went so far as to erase his own father's cartouche because the word "Amon" was featured in it. Even the word "gods" was unacceptable because it implied there were other deities besides Aten.
It is clear that the Egyptian people never accepted their king's religion and view of the world. Even at his own capital, Akhetaten, amulets featuring Bes and Tauret have been found. Following Akhenaten's death, Atenism died rapidly. Mostly because the people never really believed in it and also because Akhenaten's successors did all they could to erase Akhenaten and Aten from the public eye. Eventually, Akhetaten became abandoned and the name "Akhenaten" conjured the dim memory of a "heretic king."
