Chahaturth was not a happy dragoness to say the least. There was something in her swirling eyes that would make most dragons and humans back away from her. Not that she noticed really, she was too caught up in flightlust and rage that she seemed to be more bloodthirsty than most topazes were. She couldn’t help it; the current events weren’t doing anything to help the situation either. She could feel the dried blood on her body crack as she forced herself to keep moving. She crooned delightedly when Ferrth called her his queen. For a little more than two turns how she had just been a sub-queen, but not anymore. Oh no, she was the queen of the skies now, and she was going to let each and every one of them know it, the hard way if needed.
Chahaturth screamed, outraged, as Braymoth turned on yet another one of her chasers. I want a true King not some wherry brained fool who would try to force my decision! Oh how she wished she could flame just then. She would have turned and tried to burn the garnet to a crisp for doubting her. She doubled the speed of her betting wings, flying father and farther away from Trelis, and way from the males that were now chasing her. She was fighting the urge to turn around and tear out each of their throats with the anger that now boiled in her blood. She knew that if she turned back now she would be hard pressed to escape the reaching claws and twining bodies of the males. She was larger than all of her chasers, but she had been in the air since midnight, and already she could see the sun lighting the horizon.
D’tri lightly stepped away from Yufa, his mind having almost completely melded with his dragon. Neither of them was happy with the garnet pair, but at least Yufa wasn’t trying to tear the others apart. No, D’tri was certain that things wouldn’t go well for her if she tried. He turned and started to weave his way through each of the riders standing there, careful to only barely touch them. Neither rider nor dragon was really tired, but he could feel Chahaturth’s wings start to get heavy. This flight would end soon, but no one could predict just how the picky topaz was going to choose. All they could do was wait, well the chasers could wait anyways. D’tri was having too much fun to stop teasing them now. He ran his fingertips across arms, chests, and faces as he nimbly kept each rider at arm’s length.

Zi'axe blinked, brow furrowed, almost scowling. "A-are you....crazy?" He said after a moment of silence, almost trying to shake some sense into the boy. Inviting.... flightlust..... What in Faranth's name was going on?!
But shards and shells... He didn't-wouldn't-couldn't object. He had a strange expression on his face mixed confusion and anger (from Kasprth) and pain (also from Kasprth)...
Who cared? His lover was....here. Zi'axe was still a tiny bit human, and....and afriad... He sat on the corner of the bed, scratching his head. It was hard to think over Kasprth. What he wanted was to take K'er as his prize... but not yet...

Ferrth was taken by surprise when the garnet turned his claws on him. Hmpph, and to think he'd once thought Braymoth was a (somewhat) decent sort. Fortunately for the blue, he was quicker and more agile in the air than most of the larger dragons, so he was able to avoid the larger dragon, if not by much.
His eyes whirled with red anger at the attack, though. And that just proves what I said earlier about the big brute, Ferrth snorted. He longed to engage Braymoth in a true battle, but the truth was, he was just too exhausted to do so. He was not used to mating flights dragging on as long as this one had, and despite his efforts to conserve his strength, he was barely remaining in the flight.
If it were a different female, he probably would have given it up as lost and returned to his weyr, but he was the only blue who had dared to chase Chahaturth. He didn't have much hope of winning her now, but he would at least see it through to the end, shardit!

Braymoth hissed in annoyance as the blue managed to dodge away. It wasn’t unexpected, but it still annoyed him. He wanted to sink his claws into something, anything, and rend the flesh he found. He was frustrated. For Turns he had been at Chahaturth’s beck and call, doing as she wanted no matter how trivial. He had thought his plan had been perfect, had though that when the time came for her to rise, that she would proclaim him the victor instantly. Yet she didn’t, she grew angry at him for trying to take what was rightfully his.
Her words stung too. To think he was a fool of all things? She was the fool! He was clearly the one who would carry her the farthest, the one who would be best suited to deal with her temper and her demands. He wasn’t the type to roll over, but he would get the job done. Open your eyes dragoness. I have yet to force a decision! He hissed, twisting up above her. I will show you was forcing truly looks like! Tucking his wings, he dove at Chahaturth, claws outstretched as he reached to grab onto her, to force the catch and make her choose him. I am yours and you are mine.
As the dragon in the air dove for Chahaturth, so too did Yufa finally step towards D’tri, the look in her eyes possessive and frightening. Behind the anger and the flightlust however… there was fear. Yufa-Braymoth took another step towards D’tri, a feral growl escaping her throat.

K'er shook his head, a little bit of laughter bubbling up from Faranth knew where. This dream of his was quite something now wasn't it? Tilting his head the dark haired boy pointed to the bronzerider and then to the bed, making it quite obvious he was being serious. "Crazy, aren't we all a little crazy Zi'axe?" A sweet little smirk picked up one side of his lips then as he chuckled.

Maerath could tell that Chahaturth was not happy with the garnet Braymoth for trying to force her choices. The topaz was shining in both lust and rage, and the bronze soared after her, muscles rippling. I am a true King, Chahaturth, Queen of the Sun, the Stars, and all of Pern!
Maerath called, eyes swirling purple and red. For once, his eyes were less red and more violet, oddly enough. Anger was not an emotion he felt at the moment, which was unusual. All he wanted was to prove himself worthy. The topaz increased her speed, her eyes swirling a deep red. She was angry. Rage was shown in every fiber of her being as they flew farther and farther from their home. Maerath could tell that Chahaturth wanted nothing more to attack each and every one of them, but was driven on by the sun lighting the horizon... and the knowledge that if she turned to attack them, she would be snared, and her choice would be forced. Still, the danger was there, and so the bronze flew slightly above and to the right of the topaz, slightly behind. S'bel closed his eyes as D'tri drew his fingers across his arms. He was his dragon, and could feel the weariness in the bronze's very bones. The rider did not move. Maerath would wait, like a true King, for Chahaturth to make her choice... and so would S'bel. Maerath beat his wings strongly, still following after Chahaturth, along with the other males. The bronze didn't know whether he was impressed that the blue was still in the running, or angry. He did, however, roar in ire when Braymoth turned his outstretched claws on the queen, to force her to choose him. The bronze screamed in anger, but could do nothing to prevent what was going to happen. Either Chahaturth would accept the forced catch, or she would avoid it, and choose someone else. He could only hope it was the latter... for Braymoth was no true King! "But J'degar... I don't...?" He didn't understand. Ducking as a mug of klah came flying at his head, everything suddenly seemed to click. The flightlust! What had he heard about that? He was still mildly confused, but as J'degar walked towards him, his eyes dangerous, he backed up, not really looking where he was going until his back hit the wall. "J'degar...? What are you doing...?"

Chahaturth growled at Ferrth’s words, understanding exactly what me meant by calling Braymoth a brute. She heard Maerath’s call and pondered what he said about being a true king, and he surly seemed to be acting out the part very well currently. But for how many turns now had the garnet been her only true ally, the only being on this planet that she could really rely on? She shook her head and roared as loudly as she could. That was it; she was finished with all of this fighting. She started to turn around to claim her victor when Braymoth’s words reached her mind. She hissed and started to turn away from him, but it was already too late. But instead of grabbing onto her like he should have, the garnet had grabbed her wing, tearing large holes in the soft membrane.
Chahaturth screamed in pain and anger as she turned and lashed out at Braymoth, trying to sink her teeth into the garnet’s neck and pull him off of her wing. She screamed again when she was finally free of the garnet’s clutches she turned her head to inspect her injured wing. She was already starting to loose altitude, and right then and there she knew the choice she had to make. Turning and letting herself fall from the sky she called out to the dragon that was to be her king, the father of her eggs. Come to me my King, you have proven well that you are worthy to be the father of my eggs. Hurry Maerath, do not let me fall much further lest another steals your place. Even as she closed her swirling eyes and felt the wind fall from the sky she knew that her king would be there for her.
D’tri growled dangerously as Yufa stepped towards him, and backed a couple steps away. Just as Chahaturth had trusted Braymoth, he had trusted Yufa. The healer had always been someone the topaz rider felt he could go to for advice or just some company. But he had never pictured her to be like this, not even full of flightlust. He screamed just as his dragoness did when Braymoth’s claws tore into her wing membranes. He shook his head, trying to clear it from the pain and lust that was starting to cloud his vision even more now that Chahaturth had been injured. He screamed a gain as he felt Chahaturth free herself from the claws of the garnet dragon. Tears of pain were flowing freely down his cheeks as he looked up to where he saw the winner his dragon had chosen, the man that was Maerath was all D'tri could see, for he had closed his own eyes, waiting for S'bel to come to him.

Kasprth roared but otherwise was calm. He then blinked between, gone home.
--
A hiss escaped Zi'axe and he scared himself somewhat. His chest rose and fell as if he were flying home, like his bonded was.
He growled, half standing, eyes locking with K'er's. "How....do...you fund this-" A hand grabbed at K'er's wrist. "funny....kid? I'd...believe after your dragon..rose...you..could...understand.."
He dropped the boy's hand, grabbed it again, and was confused. Lust still had him, but he was not new to flights... but he still fought. He couldn't scare his lov--friend. No.

Maerath followed dutifully at a distance. Chahaturth seemed almost torn in half, unsure of who her victor should be. The bronze tossed his head like a stubborn runner. If she kept this flight up much longer, no one would be able to follow. But then she shook her head, roaring in anger, as Braymoth spoke. The topaz turned away to avoid him, but the blood-coloured dragon's claws caught on the Queen's wings, tearing across the membrane and sending her spiraling. Maerath screamed in rage.
Chahaturth aimed to get her fangs and claws into the garnet, and when she was free, she was falling. Maerath roared again, desperate, not knowing what to do... until her voice reached him. Come to me my King, you have proven well that you are worthy to be the father of my eggs. Hurry Maerath, do not let me fall much further lest another steals your place. The bronze did not even wait for her to finish before he was folding his wings, diving for his fallen Queen. Shooting past her like an arrow, he snapped his wings open and let her fall into him, so his whole, undamaged wings could support them both as they twined together, as he sired her eggs. I will be your King, my Queen.
S'bel closed his eyes as D'tri growled. So that was it. Maerath had not won-- Braymoth had. But... wait, what? No! D'tri was screaming in pain, and Maerath was rushing toward Chahaturth, her winner, her King. S'bel opened his eyes to see tears of pain running down the face of Chahaturth-D'tri. S'bel moved forward slowly before taking the other man into his arms and kissing him gently, knowing somehow that everything would now be okay. He continued advancing. With the flight reaching its peak, J'degar was simply unable to stop himself from giving in, the lust fueling his every step. As Iro'ris backed into the wall, J'degar didn't falter, quickly stepping closer to press himself against Iro, quickly seeking lips as his hands moved to slip under the topaz weyrling's shirt. The flight was almost done, soon Syphraelth would discover himself to be a loser and would realize what his rider was up to. The brown was too honor-bound to keep himself from yelling into His' mind. Syph would stop things before Saekath could be truly harmed, but the brown wasn't aware yet; his attention was still focused on the prize.
A hiss escaped him as Braymoth dared try to force the lovely lady into choosing him, and Syphraelth was almost about to move and take a stand when Chahaturth escaped on her own and chose another to be her victor. Crooning to both Chahaturth and Maerath, the brown gave his congratulations before swerving away; it was time to rest and... oh? What was His doing?!
Braymoth shrieked as teeth found his throat; he had expected the topaz to put up a fight, of course, but he had never expected that she would try to kill him. Braymoth did, then, something he had never done before; he panicked. Claws scrambling for purchase, the red dragon succeeded only in tearing the flesh of his neck as he pulled away, his wing snapping as he twisted improperly and found the limb trapped between himself and Chahaturth.
Then he fell.
Had they really flown so high? Twisting and turning, roaring in agony and fear, the garnet tried desperately to catch the wind under his wings, but with one flailing limply by his side he managed only to slow his descent a small amount, perhaps enough to save his life? Even so, the ground was rushing closer. For a moment, the world seemed to fall quiet, at least to Yufa it had, making the resounding crunch echo through the air. As Braymoth's body hit the ground, so too did Yufa's; a scream of pain ripping from her throat before her world went dark.
Syphraelth banked. As much as he disliked the garnet, he had to be sure, had to check. He didn't feel the loss in his mind, but what did that mean? Stepping over the garnet, he saw the faintest hint of breathing... but it was weak.
