His question made her chuckle. Perhaps he was simply naive about the ways of the world, though the story of his past made her doubt that. Perhaps he was one of those people who just trusted easily.
"Tell me this, Novar. Would you trust me not to kill you? Would you believe I am harmless? We are two strangers who have happened upon eachother. I know nothing of you and you know even less of me." She sighed, wondering how to explain it without giving away too much about herself. "We're in a war of sorts. Enemies hide around every corner, in every cave and behind the clouds. If you let your guard down, you're as good as dead. I myself rather like being alive, so it only stands to reason that I would then not want to drop my guard."
It took a fair bit of time to earn trust from Nym. As it was, there were only two people who had gained any trust from her since she Impressed. Of those two, she knew one was more than capable of killing her in a moments notice. No, Nymari lived in a dangerous world, and she wasn't willing to open her heart to it. She blinked in surprise at his complaint. Though she had long since gotten used to the warmth of the Southern continent, she had been born and raised near Fort, so the cold didn't bother her; in fact, this chill was a nice break from the heat.
"Oh... uh Iyiath is probably warm to the touch, if that would help?" She wasn't quite sure how to warm him, since he had tied furs already. Well, Iyiath could certainly keep her warm a=during the colder nights at camp. "Or we could head out I suppose. Southern is toasty warm right now." She felt something from Iyiath, concern perhaps, though the dragon couldn't quite figure out what it was. It made Nymari uneasy though and her hand shifted to her knives again.
