T’ris scratched at the top of his head as he tried to decide what he wanted to do. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to go to the gather now, or if he should wait till later, and he wasn’t getting any help from his dragon which made things all the more difficult. Widelmath was so worried that his rider would get lost with all those people there, or even worse, he might get hurt! So he had spent the better part of two hours sitting outside the gather watching all of the other people that had decided to attend the gather have fun. Buster was lying on Widelmath’s head between the opal’s head knobs fast asleep. While Max was sitting on T’ris’ shoulder chittering at him quietly, he wanted to join the gather as well. Ok Wid, let’s try this again. He really was getting annoyed with the way his dragon was worrying so much.
I d-don't like it Mine. T-t-there are too many p-p-people there! Widelmath moaned softly as he spoke, his shaky voice slowly growing in volume. What if I find someone to go there with me? Would it be ok then? T’ris was ready to try about anything for the chance to be able to spend a little bit of time at the Gather, even if he had to ask a complete stranger to just walk with him for a little bit until he was well out of sight of his dragon. He wasn’t sure if he would get away with that trick or not, especially since he had to worry about his two firelizards ratting him out to his dragon! Oh the woes of being an opal rider with two firelizards. W-well...I g-guess that w-w-would be ok. Widelmath calmed down a little as he thought of how safe his rider might be with another person.
