No. I will NOT advertise your good for nothing kissing booth again. Kayath roared grumpily from her ledge. I’m not your slave, Mine. I am Kayath, the best of the best. Getting attention for YOU is the last thing I want to do right now. J’dol cocked his head as listened, wondering once again just what was bothering his dragoness so much. She had been awfully grumpy the last few days. Shrugging as she gave him nothing but silence, J’dol finally gave up and reclined against his stall.
While J’dol always loved an excuse to kiss with anybody and everybody, he actually had a reason for doing it this time. In truth, J’dol needed money, rather desperately. First and foremost he needed a new pillow, since Ara had conveniently destroyed one of his by giving it to the dragons. Not to mention, with Ara visiting he was beginning to feel a bit self-conscious of the complete lack of anything in his room. It was about time he started working towards getting some good furniture.
Spazz wheeled and twisted in the air above him, chirping to get His’ attention when he noticed someone approaching. Already? J’dol opened an eye to glance at the approaching stranger, though there was no guarantee that his stall was the goal. Either way, he wouldn’t pass up the opportunity.
“Hey cutie,” He called out.

Oh Faranth I swear you are not worth all this headache Eiko! I have never heard someone bellyache so much about a festivity in my entire life.
What, all ten months of it Nim? The silence that followed Eiko's unusually blunt message gave the weyrling some comfort at least. She was unhappy and she was fearful of being here, and unfortunately Eiko had not yet mastered the art of keeping her emotions away from her dragon. Which, consequently meant that Nimarath was bugging her every five minutes about relaxing. However, the girl was also certain it was to simply check up on how she was doing. Despite all of Nimarath's efforts, Eiko was sure that the Obsidian dragonet truly did care for her...even if she didn't always show it.
You're a necessity...sort of like food. Messy and it even makes you tired if it runs you around too long, but it can also be satisfactory and fun to chase.
That barely makes any sense. The Obsidian snorted, curling up further in her cavern back on Rindell Island. The distance was starting to really get to Eiko, which had made her jumpy as well. Finally, in a fit of nerves, F'lon had ordered her away from the caravan. She certainly wasn't making it any easier, so she had gathered her cloak, a few marks, and the tiny firelizard egg she had taken for herself, and had left to walk around the gather.
She hadn't really thought that someone would try and stop her though, so naturally when a voice called out she stopped and looked around herself. There was no one there besides a young man at a booth. Pointing at herself with a questioning look on her face, Eiko's eyes widened in fear and understanding. "Oh, I'm not...I'm not....uhh....I....I...." She bit her lip, pulling her cloak around her tighter. Suddenly she felt self-conscious about everything; her clothes, her hair which still was an awful died purplish black, her everything was just horrible.
GIVE ME A BREAK YOU INSOLENT GIRL! GET. A GRIP!
An immediate shove from Nimarath's mind to Eiko's was as good as an electric shock, making the girl jump and let out a startled cry. "Oh I hate her, I really, really do sometimes. I'm going to get her back for that." Eiko cursed the Obsidian continuously, not minding, or understanding quite yet that she was speaking out loud. When she finally stopped mid-sentence in her tirade and blinked a few times, she gave a forced chuckle. "Oh....I said that aloud didn't I?"
Yes...yes, you did.

Well what did he have here? One of the shy ones it seemed! Those had always been his favourite type to bother. Giving her a second glance since she had actually stopped, he gave a light, private chuckle at the colour of her hair, which was truly fascinating in itself. She seemed pretty cute though, as he had said, so he leaned forward and gave a beckoning motion.
“Oh yes you are, cutie.” He replied, smiling at her. He had been expecting her to continue shying aware from him, but when she jumped and starting rambling about ‘her’, J’dol blinked in surprise. “Now now, lovely. Something on your mind? Come over here and I can help you forget aaall about it? Hmm, what do you say?” He beckoned her again.

Eiko took a tentative step forward, not able to entirely believe that this guy was for real. He wanted to make her troubles disappear? What did he think he think he was, Faranth? Blowing her bangs out of her eyes, she finally stepped up to where he was and sat on the nearest surface, which happened to be a table. "You can get all of my worries to just go like that?" She snapped her fingers, eying him curiously.
She certainly didn't believe it, it just didn't seem possible. In fact, it seemed down right impossible. "I don't think you can...you don't even know me or what I have to go through every sharding day." She frowned, twisting a lock of hair around her finger. The quiet croon in her head reminded her of the little fact that she wasn't alone though, she did have Nimarath even though the dragonet was the reason she was in the position she was.
Would you rather I was a Green?
Eiko shook her head slightly, again not used to being away from her dragon. As soon as she realized she had made the movement, she tensed to a stand-still and looked in any other direction besides his. Okay so on tact she wasn't the best, and she wasn't used to socializing period. Maybe this young man...rider perhaps even, would be interested in the rebellion!
"So ummr...are you weyrfolk or rider?"

How interesting this girl was. He gave her another once over as she sat down. Not at all a bad customer if she ended up being his first for the day. “Oh darling, you would be amazed at what I can do.” He winked at her, though he was beginning to think she was awfully naïve. Obviously she hadn’t noticed the large ‘kissing booth’ sign he had put up.
“I don’t want to claim to be the best but… I am the best. I could make everything go away.” He laughed when she asked who he was. Obviously She wasn’t form around here, as he liked to think he was pretty well known. For Faranth’s sake J’dol. Not everyone knows you. Get OVER it. Shards was she ever snappy today! What got up your rump and died. He rolled his eyes as he listened to his dragon.
“You must have travelled a long way to get here if you don’t know who I am cutie.” He grinned as he gave a light dip of his head. “I suppose you could say I’m just your average Trelis rider. J’dol’s the name. Might I have yours?” He reached for her hand with the intent of giving it a quick kiss.

She nodded her head, blushing for not realizing who she was talking to. J'dol, Trelis' Junior Weyrlord *as he had tried to change it to*, biggest flirt, and currently very close to their main Recruiter in these parts. "I'm.....Uh, sorry. I'm Nim." She bit her lip at the hesitance caused by not readily having a name. Nimarath snorted at the allusion to the Obsidian, but didn't say anything to Eiko other than that. "I'm from Bay Weyr." There that allied her with those for the mutants which was good since J'dol rode the first Topaz Kayath.
"My brother and I are here trading Firelizard and Flit eggs. Perhaps you'd like one?" She held out the egg she had hidden in a garnet pouch, holding the tiny thing in the palm of her hand. It's surface was smoothed and black with only three distinct spots of cyan along one side. If she had made the connection sooner between J'dol and Ara, she would have said something perhaps. However, by letting her see an egg like this, one that was easily recognized against oh say a clutch that your friend's Gold had laid, well maybe it would turn on some light for the rider.
"Pretty isn't it?"

J’dol wouldn’t have labeled himself as a main recruiter. At first he had barely lifted a finger to recruit, though now that the Rebellion had made their base farther away and were no longer thieving from the Weyr, J’dol had been feeling a bit more inclined to help them. As it was, he knew some rider and dragon pairs would be better off away from Trelis. He smiled at her warmly. “What a pretty name for a pretty girl.” He said, his voice full of charm.
He had been about to make a teasing joke about whether her brother was cute too, when ‘Nim’ suddenly pulled out a flit egg. She was as random as her hair it seemed. “Yeah, very pretty. I’ll have to pass on that though, a friend of mine has-“ He stopped mid-sentence as Spazz dove down and began circling the egg like a crazed fool. After receiving an image of a rather identicle looking egg, he began blinking stupidly as he took in the appearance of the egg a second time. “Wow, what are the chances? Aries had an egg just like that.” He commented off-handedly. “Spazz calm down, I’m sure that’s not her egg.” Spazz finally left the girl alone but didn’t sit still either; he contined flying circles around the stall.
“Sorry about him… he’s a bit energetic.”

Dal sighed and after a moment or two, left his art in the hands of Alessa. The girl had finally finished cooking her deserts and put everything with the dinnertables and made her rounds to all the booths. She decided she needed a break and while dal had already made a few sales and taken a few orders besides, she decided he needed one as well. She had practically chased him away from his stall.
He wasnt entirely sure where Eliitra had gotten off to, but he supposed it wouldnt hurt to just see what booths there were this season. He was of course, accompanied by a 'more interested than she wanted to appear' Hisame who attempted to look lofty on his shoulder, but had random snatches where her attention was captured by a passing person. He eventually bought her a couple meat rolls to keep her happy, and saw J'dol with a very blushing girl in his clutches.
J'dol's booth? Dal rolled his eyes. Of COURSE it was a kissing booth. He wondered what ara thought about his friend's choice of booth. Oh well, he'd have to rescue the poor girl it seemed. As he got closer he had to laugh as spazz circled a flit egg the girl held and then circled the stall.
"He was named well. Here you are spazz." Much to hisame's disappointment he held out a meatroll for Spazz, and she chittered her anger at hers.
"Be nice Hisa. You've had one already, dont want to get fat do you?" He lifted an eyebrow at his delicate little purple orange and gold ametrine. He could feel the worry float off her, and she turned her nose up at the meatroll. She wouldnt be eating for the rest of the gather... But now he wouldnt have to deal with her stingy behavior.

Eiko tensed as the blue suddenly appeared and started to make loud noises. She wasn't exactly scared, just suddenly very nervous at the proximity. She didn't know this man or his firelizard, and she certainly didn't know the new person who arrived soon after. It was all she could do not to jump up out of her seat and suddenly bolt from the place. I shouldn't be here, I should not sharding be here. Nim help me, please! The Obsidian just gave an amused croon and flicked her tail. Well what help she was. "Ummr...I....I...." "Now, now J'dol don't go scaring off all your customers. Eiko, I thought that you were with F'lon over at the flit and wher stall. Aries' eggs sure are going fast. Hi Dal, how are you doing as well?" Alyara placed a gentle hand on Eiko's shoulder, making the girl relax slightly. In only a few candlemarks of spending actual time with the greenrider she was already becoming a stablizing prescence for her. "Why don't you go get you and I some lunch okay?" Ara fished out a few marks from her red purse and handed them to the weyrling, pointing to a stall where they were selling meatrolls. "Sorry about that, but she gets nervous around people. You'd never think she was the Lieutenant Major would you?" Her voice was a slight hushed sound, only for the two men to hear. She had practiced enough times to know what level to make it, and her eyes darted around just to make sure they weren't being observed. "There are a lot of rebels here today actually, odd since they normally would keep away from such a high concentration of people." She sighed and then looked over at J'dol with a wry smile. Leaning toward him, she moved to give him a hug, and at the last moment moved in to steal a kiss. Yes, steal. "By the way, I do owe you a kiss from your booth, but I'll be forced to between if I'm paying money for it." Her low laughter was just for him as she smirked slightly, her hands sliding down the purple fabric of her dress. She had gotten it only a few days before for her performance with Leotie and the other Harpers.

J'dol looked away from Eiko and the egg for a moment as a familiar voice reached his ears, grinning as he recognised Dalrian. Spazz was quick to recognise a source of food from the man and landed on Dal's wrist only long enough to grab the meatroll before zipping off again. "Sometimes I wish he could have been calmer. Keeping up with him is harder than it looks. " He chuckled as Dalrian's comment earned him a grumpy little sub-queen.
"Tisk tisk, Dal. I thought you were more of a sweet talker than that." He leaned forward motioning to the ex-rider. "Hey, how about you come over here and buy a little kiss hmm? I'll make it worthwhile." He had an almost sing-song voice as he spoke to his friend. Spazz returned then, weaving in and around his stall before shooting off to snuggle into Ara's cheek for a brief moment.
"You hurt me, my lovely lady! How could anyone be afraid of a hot topaz-rider like me?" He gave a brief look of understanding as Ara confirmed his suspicians; that the egg Eiko had shown him was in fact one of Aries'. He pouted though, as Ara sent of the interesing young women off. "Aww Ara! She was going to be my first customer!" He had to admit, knowing she was one of the ranking riders of the rebellion was a bit of a shock; no wonder they were okay with letting her roam about in Trelis. He sure wouldn't have guessed she was the 'enemy'.
"It makes sense to me. Gathers bring in a lot of visitors; it would be easier to sneak about on a day like today." He kept his own voice hushed as he replied. He smirked as she leaned in for a kiss and made a joke about it. If she thought a little kiss was all it was going to be then she was sorely mistaken; after all, she also owed him a kiss for sending Eiko away.
"You know, its your fault I need to buy a new pillow." He teased, giving her a good look-over as he took in the rather stunning dress she had chosen to wear. Looking away, he grinned at Dalrian. "Look at how mean she is! Won't even give me a small coin on my birthday! The horror I tell you!" He gave a mock sigh of disappointment.

Bellatora looked at Eliitra with a slight nod. SHe knew the woman from Trelis. But Eliitra didn't know that Bellatora was actually a spy for the Rebellion. Not that she needed to know that little detail after all. Nor did that annoying ex-rider of hers. Yes, she thought Dalrian was annoying. She thought the same thing about J'dol. Surprising? Eh.... maybe to some.
She waved to Eli as if she were a happy care-free candidate with nothing on her mind at this gather besides fun. When she really had quite a bit else on her mind. Such as Noita, Eiko, F'lon... and that Candidate she had met. Mokiro. The people of the Rebellion. The people she really called family. This Weyr was housing the people who had killed her clan. They were as much to blame as Ar'rex and S'vrin in her mind... but some of them were... pleasent. Nice even. she liked Eliitra... Oh! What was wrong with her! She put a hand on her head. "You alright," Eliitra asked her as the sudden change in mood and the gesture were indicative of something be wrong.
"Nothing... just a headache, really," Bella said wit ha smile which was somewhat forced. Eliitra sighed. There was never getting a truly straight answer out of her. She gently stroked Swift's feathers. The huntyre gave a soft chitter and smiled. "Looks like J'dol has another Kissing booth this year. Come on."
Bellatora sighed. Great. That fool of a junior weyrlord... Well... he was pretty handsome. Whatever.
Eliitra, however, spotted someone else. "Hey Dalrian!" She tortted up to the man that she was, without keeping any secrets, in a relationship with him... And she liked keeping it rather exclusive. Though she looked like she had a mischievous glint in her eye and Bella just sighed. "Hey Eiko, J'dol, Alyara," she bowed formally to each of them. Though most of them were unlikely to know her.

Dal grinned at j'dol's comment about spazz as the little flit took the food and flew away agian. Hisame had looked entirely deflated and he rolled his eyes scooping her off his shoulder and kissing the top of her head. She sent him images of herself, only bloated and sad and he had to laugh.
"You're not going to get fat little love. You just have to be nice and share, remember what we talked about?" She snorted at him and crawled up his shoulder to settle around his shoulders again a bit happier now that she knew he was teasing her.
"Nah, darlin, then you'd have to rename him. And I have to check her once in a while or she becomes unbearable. She's already making a nuisance of herself with Eliitra." He rolled his eyes and leaned a hip against one of the tables at J'dol's stall. "Speaking of which, I'd take you up on that offer of a kiss, but I dont know which of us would be murdered first, You or Me."
He chuckled as Ara sent Eiko away. The girl was Very shy, and it was hard for him to see her as a higher up within the rebellion. Then again with spies for both sides everywhere, who was to say who could be trusted.
" Gathers are the easiest times to go about unnoticed, and if you are noticed, any eccentricity can be put off to the fact that travelers have odd customs of their own. She's a bit shy, but I'll bet you anything Noita only gave her the rank of succession because the only other options she has are both originally from trelis. I wouldn't trust anyone from trelis with such an important role right off the bat either..." He sighed, but quieted his talk of the rebellion when he heard Eliitra. She already thought he wanted to leave the weyr, rebellion talk would only make that seem more evident and he just wanted her to be happy. looking over he suppressed a groan. Did she have to have Bellatora with her? He was always a gentleman, but he couldnt say he liked the girl. In his dealings with her, the girl had always been abrasive, and from the 'talk' she was a rebellion sympathizer if not more.
"Bellatora..." He nodded cool-ly to the girl.
He got a sudden image of the girl's hair ends on fire, and he shot a quick look over at where hisame had sat up innocently on the table beside hers. The only evidence that she was scheming was her tail. Eerily reminiscent of a cat, her tail wrapped around her front feet, the last inch curling up and twitching from side to side as she watched the girl that caused her's exasperation. To say she didnt like the girl was evident, but withthe disapproval that emenated along the link, she quieted and satisfied herself with watching, chirping at Eliitra in welcome.
"J'dol, I'm pretty sure that you shouldnt be charging HER of all people for one of your kisses... and..."Turning his eyes back to the woman who had his heart, he slipped an arm around her waist smiling and taking one of her hands in his other, spinning her in a dance step then kissing her on the cheek. "Ara here's my witness, I've not kissed or been kissed much less paid for it. My presence here is innocent, I assure you."
His night was getting better and better.
"Hello love. How are you tonight?"

Alyara smiled as J'dol went off on his little tirade of how dare she not pay, and that he needed money for the pillow she had ruined. Sighing, she smirked as Eliitra walked over to Dal and even brought a candidate. She knew this one, somehow...though from where she couldn't place. Perhaps she was someone that the greenrider had searched? "I'm sorry, but do I know you? You look...familiar." She said the words slowly, looking the girl over and over again just to make sure she wouldn't forget the face for the next time they met.
"Oh! By the way J'dol..." Ara turned back to the Topazrider quickly, a devious yet pleased smile on her face. Calling to the still upset and almost eggless Gold, Ara pulled on the bond until with a flustered cry Aries popped into between with the object Ara had sent her to retrieve. "I bought this." She caught it as the firelizard dropped it mid-air, hugging it to her chest and rocking back on her heels. It was a pillow, a dark and vibrant shade of green with gold and orange weaving. "For you." The greenrider held it out to him and raised an eyebrow.
"As for the people at the gather, I'm sure you're both right. I just was a bit shocked to see Eiko here, and I think I caught a glimpse of Aela and one or two of the Knights as well." She mused over her thoughts, wondering again if Ar'rex and S'vrin knew the rebel faces or not. They had been changed some of them since the battle, either scarred or entirely new because of the losses the rebels had taken. Taking a calming breath, the rider looked back over at Eliitra. "How are you and Nevinth doing? I bet she'll rise soon, it's almost time. Apparently the Amethysts clutch an egg their first time. Can you believe it? I wonder if it'll happen here too..."

“Oh come now, would she really kill one of us if you did me a teensy little favor? I’ve always wanted to see if you tasted as good as you look.” He replied with a wink, though truth be told he wasn’t too interesting in getting on Eliitra’s bad side either, especially now that she had made her way over. As had another girl he didn’t recognize at all. “Eliitra! Did you know you are scaring off my business before I even have a chance? Why must you torture me so?” He pouted. “Maybe you’d be willing to give the birthday boy a kiss?” He had no doubt she’d say no, but it was entertaining to ask anyway. He dipped his head to Bellatora. “So we meet again, pretty lady.” He would have asked for a kiss from her as well, but Ara was suddenly pulling his attention.
He jumped in surprise as the overly colourful pillow was dropped in his lap. “A gift? For me? You shouldn’t have! Now I have no reason to get kisses!” He pouted playfully before tugging gently on Ara’s sleeve to get her closer. “It looks awfully comfy…” He whispered for her ears only, “Perhaps my dear Ara would be willing to put it to the test tonight?” He grinned as the topic of clutches came up though. The idea of Eliitra possibly ending up with someone else was almost a deliciously sinister thought. She would hardly be able to blame him for stealing a kiss from Dalrian then.

"Good! You should know better J'dol!" Eliitra said while grinning as Dalrian spun her. "Well... my love, I'm glad to hear it." If she could guarantee it... she would never be with another person in her entire life. But.. she couldn't promise that quite honestly...
She smiled and leaned in to kiss him. "I'm doing wonderfully now." She gently pulled herself closer to him and gave him a kiss.
Bellatora smiled slightly and walked over to the kissing booth. "Well... Maybe it bothers the rest of you... but I'll buy a kiss from the birthday boy." She winked at him, her green eyes shining as she leaned past Ara towards J'dol for a kiss. She gave him a few marks. "This enough... Hmm....?" she asked him with a smile. He was a good kisser.
It didn't have to have any feeling behind it. She would be happy to kiss him again. She sighed softly. She felt a little bad, but not really. It was almost delicious.
And then there was a voice behind them, not quite upset, just barely held back as she spoke. "J'dol! The Jr. Weyrlord should set a better example than this!" That was all that she said, standing with one hand on her stomach where the young life was growing inside her stomach. Her baby.... She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Kayath... can't you put a stop to this or not...?"
Eliitra blinked and looked at Bellatora then at Iirla and sighed. She found this something rather interesting... And amusing. But... she would be very happy to take her Dalrian and go have some fun. Maybe go dancing.
