Mokiro is a tall fifteen turn old young man, standing at five foot ten inches and weighs one hundred and sixty pounds. Most of his weight comes from his muscles, but he is surprisingly agile as well. Most wouldn’t think of him to be a person with so much agility from first glance either. No, most people would think of him as just another kid wasting away his life doing stupid stuff. And most of the time they would be right, but because of his habit of wearing clothes that are two sizes too big, first impressions are often false ones. He has dark brown hair that is actually pretty shaggy. He never lets his bangs get so long that they hang in front of his blue eyes, but the rest of it he lets get ear length. He keeps it clean and combed, after all, he has to look good for the ladies.

Personality:
Mokiro is a friendly young man and is very loyal to his friends and family. He can seem like a jerk at times but in all honestly he is a real sweet heart. He likes to have a good time, but most of his “fun” is spent flirting with women that he thinks are pretty. He doesn’t care too much for brains when he flirts, but all of his actual friends are actually smart; most of them are smarter than he is. He is actually a very hard worker, and very studious, which means he is smarter than he appears…or acts. He might act like a child at times and deep down inside of him there still lives a child, but most of the time he does act pretty close to his age…give or take a few turns. It all basically depends on his mood really. It isn’t that he is bi-polar; he is just a very complicated young man.

If you’re having a hard time finding him, and he isn’t doing chores, look in the dining hall, and if he isn’t there you could always try the hot springs. He likes to enjoy himself, which means he likes to be surrounded by females as much as possible. What this says about what he will be like when he’s older, no one really knows just yet. A lot of people are praying that he changes at least a little bit before he gets too old. After all, what woman would want a man that acts like a child. Either way, he still has a lot to learn, and a lot of growing up to do. Whether or not he will change at all during or after his life as a candidate is anyone’s guess. But a lot of his friends would like to tell you that there is no way on Pern, that this young man will ever change his ways.

History:
Mokiro’s parents had been together since both of them were very young, since both of their parents had been part of the same trading caravan. They grew up together, and spent most of their days learning how to become successful traders together. Her father, Morasil, had been in love with his mother, Kirilia, since they were both young, and had been chasing her for years before she finally accepted him. His mother was twenty-seven turns old when she had him, and since then hasn’t been able to conceive another child. Because of his mother’s inability to conceive again, and the fact that he has been the only male to be born into their caravan, he has been treated very kindly by all of the people of his family’s caravan. Which means he is pretty much used to getting what he wants from just about everyone.

Mokiro has spent his life learning to become a trader just like his parents, and has learned more than one trick to get him out of trouble during that time. His family was visiting the Rebellion camp to trade supplies when he was searched out by a very large blue dragon. At first he didn’t want to leave his family, but then his father told him about all the possibilities he would have to experience new things, and he made his mind. He became a candidate exactly one season after his birthday, and has been at the Rebellion since. He’s made sure to stay on the good side of most of the people he’s met, but there is just no pleasing some people. Either way he has made sure to keep himself out of serious trouble, and has even made a couple of new friends who have made the place feel like home.

Mokiro’s still waiting for a chance to impress, but in the mean while he’s found plenty of things to keep himself entertained. Though, whether or not this “entertainment” well get him in serious trouble or not is still yet to be seen, but only time will tell. There have actually been a few times when his friends have taken bets on whether or not he would get in trouble for something, and all of this has become a sort of a game for him and all of his friends. What he really needs is a friend, or a dragon, that can keep him in line, and out of trouble. Maybe then he wouldn’t be such a pain to so many people. He has real potential, but has yet to even realize this about himself, hopefully his time as a candidate, and maybe even weyrling hood, will change all of this.
